opportunities for engagement and recognized the MBEIC leadership.

Increasing engagement of MBEs to participate in meetings, and events. Multiple suggestions from the
meeting attendees. Suggestions included:

• Adding standard date to the MBEIC website which is being updated
ISCWG/MBEIC Joint Program- Perfecting Your Pitch- scheduled for 9/28/2022
• Pam Nelson and Mary Gano (Vistra Energy) facilitating the event
• MBEs will have opportunity to practice their pitch with buying entities
Program – H1B-Visa for October – This program was being put on hold until further notice when a
representative from the US Department of Labor could be confirmed to participate to provide required
information for receiving appropriate certifications and labor determinations for the MBEs.
September 28: ISCWG/MBEIC Joint Program – Perfecting Your Pitch
The program was well received by the MBEs participating. The Buyers provided valuable feedback to the
MBEs. The summary details of the event are pending that includes the number of participants.
Two separate outputs will be provided: 1) MBEs survey results are pending. 2) A summary of tips and
suggestions provided by the buyers will be captured and shared with MBEs.
Expected release date is 10/21/2022.

ENHANCEMENTS
Establishment of GSA Training for potential infrastructure opportunities
through GSA. An ongoing programming effort to increase the GSA Schedule
of DFW MBEs in the next six to eight months.
