GOLDEN YEAR9

196G

As we review the past four years at Wilson, we can recall
many outstanding memories. Over this span of time we have
acquired many friendships which will last a lifetime. The years
we have spent together represent a time of learning and matur
ing. It has been a time for us to expand our narrow horizons;
now as we go out to meet the world, we shall broaden our
horizons to even greater limits. No matter how far each of us
may go, these four years will never be forgotten. Some day, as
we reminisce these years, we will realize that these were truly
the "Golden Years.”

DEDICATION

Mr. Boyce

Mr. Boyce standing casually! With his famous grin!

As we review the past four years at Wilson, one man
stands out. It is to this man, we the Class of 1965
dedicate our yearbook. This man has given his own
time in order to see that our years at Wilson are happy
one. He took the time to sponsor many activities, and
provide extra activities which he felt worthwhile to the
benefit of the student body.
His wonderful sense of humor and his interest in the
welfare of all the students will make him an individual
whom we shall not forget.
It is with this we dedicate our yearbook to:

ADMINI9TRATI0N

Dear Seniors,
This has been a memorable year! The achievements of the Class of 1965 have rendered dignity to the
individual, honor to your class and school, and pride and satisfaction to me, your administrator. Wood-
row Wilson will continue to strive for the attainment of high standards that it has gained through your
direction, leadership, and enthusiasm. It has been my honor and privilege to be part of the class of ’65.
We at Woodrow Wilson High School have always endeavored to achieve scholastic and co-curricular
recognition. The pioneering spirit exhibited by the members of this class has enabled us to surpass many
of our previous accomplishments. It is with a great deal of pride that we reflect upon the contributions and
cooperation provided by you through your years at Wilson.
As each of you seeks to further his future goals, may the accomplishments of today provide the neces
sary inspiration to achieve success tomorrow. It is a pleasure to extend to you my enthusiastic and sincere
wish that the future will hold a life of success, honor, and happiness.
Sincerely yours,
Frank J. Furgele
Principal

Seniors,
Someone once said, "The journey of a thou
sand miles starts with a single step.” It is the
desire of the faculty at Woodrow Wilson High
School to be able to help you with that first
step toward your goal. It is our hope that each
of you has selected a goal to which each succeed
ing step may be directed. Do not wander aimless
ly in life, select your goal, set your standards and
put all of your efforts behind yourself to do
that which you have set out to accomplish.
Each of us expects that each of you will face
the challenge that lies before you with the
knowledge that you, through your individual ef
forts. can make a better life for yourself and for
those about you.

Best wishes for success,
Harold W. Hunter

9ENIOR CLASS

OFFICERS

Fellow Seniors,
We have worked and socialized together for six years, and finally
we are graduated the Class of 1965. Avidly we are anticipating em
barking upon new adventures either in the collegiate or business
world. We must hold sacred these ideas and principles set forth by
those who taught us. We must continue to strive until our ultimate goals
of success have been achieved. We must remember, wherever we go,
and whatever we do, our high school Alma Mater.
It was a pleasure serving as your Senior Class President. May the
best of luck be yours in the future.
Sincerely yours,
James O’Neal Jim
