In Appreciation

We wish bo express our sincere appreciation and

deep gratitude to Miss M. Ivy Foley and Mr. Bernard

Clarke for their guidance and assistance.

Miss Foley, as Faculty Sponsor, managed the bus

iness staff, worked with the members of the liter

ature staff, assisted with much of the typing, and

spent many, many hours guiaing and advising staff

members concerning the basic lay-out of the TORCH.

Mr. Clarke, Director of Art, made all arrange

ments for individual pictures to be taken, trained

and directed the staff members who did our photo

graphic work, and made certain all pictures were

available when needed.

We, members of the Torch Staff, say, Thanks,

Miss Foley and Mr. Clarke. Without your assist

ance, this yearbook would not be

CLASS HISTORY

When we entered seventh grade we were like specta

tors at the circus. It took us the biggest part of the

nine months to get use to the school and older stu

dents. With workmen adding a new part it didn't help

us any. Being on half sessions, we started school at

8 o'clock A.M. and finished at 12:30 P.M. As we left

school we brushed past the incoming eighth graders. We

he has been our class advisor since eighth grade. In

eighth grade we had clubs and our class activity was a

doggie roast in back of the school. Games were enjoy

Upon starting our ninth year, just think only four

more to go, we found another ring had been added, giv

ing us two, Vou see, we elected class officers, some-
