Routes to worship at 9 temples. 1. Wat Photharam, Ban Tha Krai, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called wat Tha Krai, the temple area is next to the Mekong River. With shady atmosphere, it enshrines Luang Pho Phra Yai, an iconic Buddha image in the posture of Maravichai. Its lap width is 5 feet 4 inches. Those who come to ask for blessings from Luang Pho and their wishes come true will bring gold paint to paint the image, making it glow with golden yellow all over. 2. Wat Phumbanwattana, tambon Bueng Kan, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called wat Nuea, it has a wide, shady area with a large temple. The red roof contrasts with the gold throughout. When reflected in the sunlight, it is even more beautiful and stunning. There is a striking ancient drum and a bell tower that is as tall as a three-story building, located in front of the entrance arch. 3. Wat Buppharat Samosorn, tambon Bueng Kan, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called wat Klang, it is a meditation center that is central to Buddhism. There is a main Buddha image - Luang Pho Wat Klang in the ubosot. It is an ancient Buddha image of Lan Xang style. The Buddha image is made of brick and cement, having a lap width of 59 inches. 4. Wat Sisophon Thammathan, tambon Bueng Kan, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called wat Tai, it is a Dhamma practice center. There is a one-and-a-half story Thai-style building made of reinforced concrete and hardwood. There is a bronze Buddha image in the posture of Maravichai. Three metal Buddha images from the Lan Xang period are enshrined in a four-posted throne and the statue of Luang Pho Mek. 5. Chao Pu Ya Shrine, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan A large Chinese shrine, it has a large entrance door. Thai of Chinese descent like to worship to it. Inside there are many places to worship. 6. Wat Pa Ban Phan Lam, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan The surrounding area is surrounded by forest with many kinds of trees that provide shady and quiet living along the Mekong River. It is a Maha Nikaya temple. There is a sacred object: Luang Pho Sila- a Buddha image in the posture of giving blessing, carved from stone, having a lap width of 40 inches. 7. Wat Sud Khet Dan Sayam, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan It is a temple under the Sangha Thammayut Sect, line of Luang Pu Man Phurithatto. The temple is peaceful and surrounded by trees. Inside there is a large vihara, ceiling of which is decorated with wood. The pillars are decorated with mirrors. The ordination hall is white and beautiful and houses Luang Pho Phra Ngoen, a Buddha statue in the posture of subduing the Mara. 8. Wat Ahong Silawat, tambon Hor Kham, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan, There is a marble temple in applied Thai shape, On the stairs leading up there is a Naga, enshrining the Phra Buddha Kwananda Satsada. It looks similar to Phra Buddha Chinnarat. This is the navel of the Mekong River. You can see the Ahong rapids above the water from March to May. A lot of tourists come to see the “Naga rockets” every year. 9. Wat Samakkhi Uppatham, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called wat Phu Kratae, it was originally the residence of Luang Pho Thongpool Sirikamo (Phra Yansitthachan), a famous monk of the Isan region. 6. วัดสิงหารินทาราม ต.ท่าดอกค�ำ อ.บึงโขงโหลง จ.บึงกาฬ ในวัดมีพระเจดีย์บรรจุอัฐิและอัฏฐบริขารของ “หลวงปู่ค�ำสิงห์ สุภทฺโท” เพื่อให้ชาวบ้านกราบสักการะบูชา มีพระธาตุบรรจุพระสีวลีองค์ขนาดเท่าไขไก่และ วัตถุมงคลต่าง ๆ 7. วัดเซกาเจติยาราม พระอารามหลวง ต.เซกา อ.เซกา จ.บึงกาฬ มีพระธาตุกตัญญูบรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ พระเจ้ามูลเมืองเซกา ประดิษฐาน ในอุโบสถ และมีศาลาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 72 พรรษา บรมราชินีนาถ 8. วัดเจติยาคีรีวิหาร ต.นาแสง อ.ศรีวิไล จ.บึงกาฬ หรือ “วัดภูทอก” มีพุทธวิหารซึ่งบรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ เป็นหินที่แยกตัว ออกมาจากหินก้อนใหญ่ มีสะพานไม้เล็ก ๆ และบันไดกว่า 7 ชั้น ขึ้นไปยอดชมวิวยอดเขา 9. วัดป่าดานวิเวก ต.ศรีชมภู อ.โซ่พิสัย จ.บึงกาฬ เป็นศูนย์รวมคติธรรมค�ำสอนของ “หลวงปู่ทุย” ซึ่งจารึกอยู่ในพระธาตุ มงคลแปดทิศ หลักธรรมศิลาจารึก แผ่นหินศิลาอ่อนขนาดใหญ่อยู่ทั่ววัด 10. วัดโพธาราม บ้านท่าไคร้ อ.เมืองบึงกาฬ จ.บึงกาฬ ประดิษฐานหลวงพ่อพระใหญ่ พระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัย เดิมเป็นพระพุทธรูป ทองส�ำริดแต่ถูกฉาบปูนไว้ ผู้ที่ขอพรแล้วสมหวังจะน�ำสีทองมาทาองค์พระให้สวยงาม 11. วัดป่าสถิตย์ธรรมวนาราม ต.ศรีชมภู อ.พรเจริญ จ.บึงกาฬ “พระธาตุเจดีย์ศรีอุดมศีลวัฒน์” สีทองโดดเด่น ภายในวัดมีพระพุทธรูปสีขาว อยู่บนฐานดอกบัวขนาดใหญ่ ทุกวันมีผู้มากราบไหว้ขอพร “หลวงปู่อุดม ญาณรโต” 12. วัดสังขลิการาม อ.โซ่พิสัย จ.บึงกาฬ หรือ “วัดบ้านห้วยก้านเหลืองน้อย” ในวัดมีพระธาตุพระพุทธรัตนมุนีศรีสัตนาค พระพุทธมงคลทิพย์ พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ บรรจุที่ส่วนยอดพระธาตุและฐานแจกัน The Charm of life in wonderland. Dhamma tourism at 12 temples. 1. Wat Sawang Arom, tambon Non Sila, amphoe Pak Khat Also called “wat Tham Sithon” it is located on a hill. There is an upside-down bell-shaped ubosot on a large rock, beneath of which is a reclining Buddha image. There is a bell tower made from thousands of dragon jars. 2. Wat Ahong Silawat, tambon Kai Si, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan It enshrines “Phra Buddha Kuwanan Satsada” cast in brass. It looks similar to Phra Buddha Chinnarat. The temple area has a statue of the Mekong River Goddess Navel. 3. Wat Sud Khet Dan Sayam, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan It enshrines a Buddha image in the posture of subduing the Mara, of Chiang Saen style. The ceiling is decorated with wooden pillars and mirrors. The entire temple is white, inside of which Luang Pho Phra Ngoen is contained. 4. Wat Pa Phu Kratae, tambon Wisit, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan It enshrines Phra Sangkajai, with a lap width of 30 inches and a portrait of Luang Pu Thongpool. Villagers like to come and ask for blessings to be prosperous in life and business. 5. Wat Si Bunruang, tambon Chaiphon, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan Also called “wat Pa Mueang Hueang”, it has its inside enshrining “Phra Na with a golden face”, a black body with a golden face. The entire temple is gold. In front, there are statues of Grandfather Sisuttho and Grandma Sipratumma. 6. Wat Singharintharam, tambon Tha Dok Kham, amphoe Bueng Khong Long In the temple there is a pagoda containing the ashes and relics of “Luang Pu Khamsing Supattho” for the villagers to pay homage to. 7. Wat Seka Chetiyaram, royal monastery, tambon Seka, amphoe Seka There is a padoda of gratitude containing the relics of the Lord Buddha. King Mun Mueang Seka is enshrined in the temple and there is a pavilion honoring Her Majesty the Queen’s 72nd birthday. 8. Wat Chetiyakhiriwihan, tambon Na Saeng, amphoe Si Wilai, Bueng Kan Also called “wat Phu Thok”, it has a Buddhist vihara containing the Buddha’s relics. It is a rock separated from a large rock. There is a small wooden bridge and 7 levels of stairs to climb to the top for a view of the mountain. 9. Wat Pa Dan Wiwek, tambon Si Chompu, amphoe So Phisai, Bueng Kan It is the center of the moral teaching of “Luang Pu Tui” which is inscribed in Phra That’s 8 auspicious directions. Large dhamma principle inscription stones and marble slabs are all over the temple. 10. Wat Photharam, Ban Tha Krai, amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan It enshrines Luang Pho Phra Yai Buddha statue in the posture of subduing the Mara. It was originally a bronze image but was plastered. Those who make a wish and have it fulfilled will bring gold paint to paint the Buddha image to make it beautiful. 11. Wat Pa Sathit Thamwanaram, tambon Si Chompu, amphoe Phon Charoen “Phra That Chedi Si Udom Silawat” has a distinctive golden color. Inside the temple is a white Buddha image on a large lotus base. Every day there are people who come to pay homage to and ask for blessings from “Luang Pu Udom Yanarato”. 12. Wat Sangkhlikaram, amphoe So Phisai, Bueng Kan Also called “wat Ban Huai Kan Lueang Noi”, it has its temple enshrined with a relic of Phra Buddha Rattana Muni Si Sattanak Phra Phuttha Mongkolthip.
