FOREWORD
Assalamualaikum wrt.wbt.
All Praise to Allah, the Almighty, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate the members of the Department of Psychology and
Counselling, specifically the Psychology Unit, for producing Final Year Project: Student
Handbook and Guidelines for Bachelor of Psychology with Honours in the form of e-book.
This is the first of its kind been published by the Faculty of Human Development, UPSI.

This handbook is a guideline for students enrolled in the KST3996 Final Year Project
of Bachelor of Psychology program. The handbook is designed to guide students in fulfilling
the program’s requirement of completing a research project successfully. This handbook is a
comprehensive document that provides an overview of the implementation of the course from
the research idea until the evaluation. There are altogether five sections in this handbook and
they are (1) background information of the course, (2) list of the activity, (3) guidelines for
formatting, (4) example of a table of content, and (5) note for coordinator and supervisor.
Besides, the handbook also includes all the necessary forms required for the completion of the
course is attached under the Appendix.

Given the handbook, it is the responsibility of the students to understand the
requirement and work accordingly in fulfilling it. It is hoped that this guideline will help
students in producing an exemplary research report.

I do take this opportunity to thank the entire faculty members of the Psychology
program for their contribution. Not to forget the outpouring support and feedback from the
undergraduates of the Psychology program. All of us in the Faculty of Human Development
are excited about working with you to assure a rewarding intellectual experience.

We wish you the best as you completing the Final Year Project successfully.
