Unique Honour for the Hacker Troops of CSE

HACKER TROOPS, a team from third year Computer Science and Engineering
Department (6 Team Members and 2 Mentors) from Rajalakshmi Engineering College,
Thandalam bagged First Place in the Smart India Hackathon 2017 organized by AICTE
under the ministry of ISRO for the problem statement ‚Document Tracking within an
Organization (#ISR53)‛. According to the problem statement, the team have developed a
product named ‚DOCurator‛ wherein Sensitive and Classified data are restricted from
being leaked out of an organization. This project also includes tracking of an event
regarding the document.

The ISRO shortlisted 55 teams out of 209 teams for 53 problem statements and invited
them to attend Smart India Hackathon. On April 1st, the main Hackathon event started
which lasted for continuous 36 hours of developing the product for the given problem
statement. We competed with 55 Teams which were shortlisted to Final 8 Teams. The
Final 8 teams then had the direct Power Judging with the main ISRO Officials. The prize
was honoured by the ISRO’s Chairman ‚A S Kiran Kumar‛. We came back with the glorious
ISRO Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 1 Lakh.
