Along with this, improving the infrastructure of schools have also been taken up, with 8,700 new Atal Tinkering Labs having been set up since 2015. Amenities like electricity, libraries, girls’ toilet and medical check-up in schools have witnessed a significant jump in the recent years. Medical education is witnessing an extremely rapid improvement. To make medical education more accessible, MBBS seats have been increased by 53% and postgraduate seats have seen increase of 80%. Six new AIIMS have been operationalised and 16 more are in the pipeline. In conclusion, the nine years of the union government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have witnessed significant advancements in the education sector. With these milestones, the future of education in India holds great promise for a flourishing and dynamic educational landscape. International Arena These are times when the power equations in Asia are changing with the rapid emergence of China and the relative decline of the United States influence. India had been a reluctant player in the international arena since her Independence in 1947. However, she has been rising to prominence
since the 1990s, particularly since 1991 when under the premiership of late P. V. Narsimha Rao and the time she conducted nuclear tests in 1998 under the premiership of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The process has now acquired speed since 2014 when Narendra Modi assumed the charge as Prime Minister of India. While under late P. V. Narsimha Rao, India had transited from the Socialist era to the free market era with the New Economic Policy and the country shunning the inward-looking policy followed by India since the late Jawaharlal Nehru and following the outward-looking policy. The transition however gained increased momentum since 2014. On the International front, India under Modi is fast becoming the fulcrum of the emerging world order. The transition of the world from a Unipolar world to a Multipolar global order and declining Multilateralism has presented Modi with a great opportunity to pitch for a bigger role for India in global leadership and governance. India matters today, as the Indian world view under Modi projects moderation, continuity and a nuanced stance in foreign policy due to the stability in leadership. Under Modi, India has tried to carve its own path, at the same time joining the US-led Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) grouping to safeguard India’s interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
India also did not succumb to the pressure of US and the European Union to stop buying Russian oil during the Russia-Ukraine war, showcasing the independent foreign policy being followed by her. In the UN also India did not ‘toe’ the line followed by the US and the European Union but instead suggested a diplomatic route to find a solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The stand taken by India, it must be noted, was endorsed by the delegates at the G-20 Summit at Bali in Indonesia. It must be said that Dr. Jaishankar has been doing a greatjob in the promotion of India as a free independent global thinker and leader. Through many international forums and meetings India has always maintained a “Nation-First” approach. One of the most famous quotes of Dr. Jaishankar came from a question on the Russia-Ukraine war where his response was that “Europe’s problems are not the World’s problems and that the World’s problems are not Europe’s problems.” This quotation is now apparently being used in many discussions and policy making decisions by the EU Parliament as reported by a member of the EU. Such is the new respect garnered all over the world now by the Modi led NDA government that many countries worldwide now seek India’s support and
advice on a number of issues affecting the “Global Village” of which India plays an indelible part. Success in Developing Relations With Islamic Middle East When the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) led by BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), perceived to be a proHindu Party came to power in Delhi in 2014, it was felt that India’s ties with the deeply religious Islamic Middle East would deteriorate, possibly even leading to a situation where crude oil would be used to hold India hostage. Instead, the Modi administration completely demolished such concerns by securing major foreign investments from Saudi Arabia, signing a major trade deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and negotiating multiple deals with other economies in the region. It now has many significant ties and bi-lateral relationships with many of the gulf nations and has many ongoing trade and business agreements with them thus allaying the fears and concerns of many that India would not be able to cooperate the countries of the Middle-East. In fact, quite the opposite has occurred with India forging stronger bonds and ties with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Dubai etc. to such an extent that the crown prince of Dubai gave permission and land for the
largest temple to be constructed in Dubai which will soon be opened. The mutual respect for each garnered by both India and the Gulf countries has increased multiple fold and only augers well for the long-term relationships of both in the future. Important Role Played During the World-Wide Pandemic The important role played by India during the pandemic earned praise from the world. In the biggest show of strength at the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Modi government introduced a proposal to temporarily suspend global rules protecting intellectual property rights for manufacturing COVID-19 vaccines to make them accessible to all. In the face of reluctance of the developed world to accept the proposal, arguing that drug-makers will face losses, the Modi government spearheaded an unprecedented fightback teaming up with more than 100 nations to successfully implement the motion which eventually set the stage for the success for India’s “Vaccine-War” against Covid19.
Top World Leaders Endorsing PM Modi Recently, PM Narendra Modi travelled across three countries, holding meetings with more than 12 global leaders, participated in 3 Summits and participated in more than 50 engagements. In Japan, PM Modi met several world leaders during the G-7 Summit and discussed various issues with them, including the US President Joe Biden, Ukrainian President Zelensky and U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak amongst many others. PM Modi also participated in the Third-in-Person Quad Leaders’ Summit in Hiroshima, Japan on May 20, 2023 along with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan and President Joe Biden of US. The Top honour of Papua New Guinea was conferred on PM Modi, the Companion of the Order of Logohu for championing the cause of unity of Pacific Island countries and spearheading the cause of Global South. He was also conferred the highest honour of Fiji by the PM of Fiji, the Companion of the Order of Fiji in recognition of his global leadership. This follows the first visit of Narendra Modi on assuming the charge of Prime Ministership to Fiji on 19th of November, 2014, besides the bilateral meeting with the Fijian government.
Modi during this visit had also met heads of states and governments from 14 pacific island states to enhance India’s engagement in the region and proposed a Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) to be held on a regular basis. He had also conveyed India’s keenness to work closely with the Pacific Island nations to advance their development and proposed a number of measures to strengthen India’s partnership in the region. It needs to be noted that, alarmed by Modi’s outreach to the Pacific Island Nations, Chinese President, Xi Jinping had visited Fiji on 21st November, 2014, just 2 days after Modi’s trip to meet a similar gathering of leaders, indicating a struggle for influence between the two Asian giants in the island countries of south pacific. These events thus endorse the world leader status acquired by India under the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi in the presence of the leading countries and their leaders. India, it can be said, has thus crossed a selfimposed constraint on her external stance and moved from denial to affirmation of its aspiration to be a major power. This change of stance must be rightfully attributed to Modi, the first nonNehruvian Prime Minister of India post 1947.
ISRO Chandrayaan 3 has recently soft landed on the dark side of the moon, a feat which no other country has ever done before. India has thus become the first country in the world to soft-land near the south pole of the moon on 23rd August 2023. It is a significant achievement for ISRO who had previously failed to do so in 2019 when it crash landed. India therefore, becomes only the fourth country in the world to land on the moon after USA, Russia and China. A feeling of euphoria spread throughout the country when this success was made, signalling a huge leap into the space exploration mission by ISRO. Modi was clearly elated at this success especially after 2019 when it had failed to achieve this mission and having to console the then chief of ISRO who had broken down publically. It is a giant leap for India and one that augers well for the future. Shortly thereafter, ISRO Launched the PSLVC57/Aditya-L1 Mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, Bangalore. The spacecraft shall be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, which is about 1.5 million km from the Earth.
A satellite placed in the halo orbit around the L1 point has the major advantage of continuously viewing the Sun without any occultation or eclipses. This will provide a greater advantage of observing the solar activities and its effect on space weather in real time. These two successive accomplishments have lifted the status of ISRO significantly throughout the world in terms of space research and allows India to enter a very select and unique group of spaceexploration countries. G20 Summit 2023 Delhi One of the more recent developments was the G20 Presidency hosted by India in Delhi in September 2023, where 100% consensus was achieved in the signing of the Delhi Declaration, in which every single country whether emerging, developing or developed endorsed it. This was historic because no one opposed it including Russia and China. A major objective was the establishment of two iniatives. The first was the establishment of a new corridor for trade running from India to the middle east and then to Europe. This would drastically improve the trade between these countries and also would re-establish an ancient trade route which was used centuries ago when Bharat was at the height of its power trading
spices silk and other items to the rest of the world. At that time Bharat provided almost 25% of the GDP of the world. The second was the promotion of the new green hydrogen bio-fuel energy iniative which saw many countries signing on to help counteract climate change and to eliminate carbon footprints by the reduction of fossil-fuel dependency. Third, was the acceptance of the African Union of 55 states to a permanent status on the G20 table making it now G21. This is of extreme importance as it now brings in a total of 1.3 billion extra persons into the G21. Together with India they add up to almost 2.8 billion people which makes up over one third of the entire population of the world. This is significant for the developing world as the ‘G21’ becomes more people centric now and in the future. The charismatic and dynamic leadership of Modi during this 2023 G20 Summit was simply superb according to all world leaders. Modi’s ability to unite everyone was very evident in both the statements and body language of the leaders in their interactions with him during the meetings and deliberations. This is the primary reason why Modi is now looked upon as the unifying factor amongst all nations of the world. His message of inclusivity through
his mantra of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” has endeared him to the hearts of millions around the world both Indians and non-Indians alike. The Indian diaspora abroad has been recharged, reinvigorated and re-branded with a vibrant new energy and unity as never before as a new wave of Indian nationalism spreads across every continent of the globe vibrating with the energetic chants of Bharat Mataa Ki Jai echoing in every nook and cranny. Indeed, all NRI’s and “ex-pats” have been given a dose of new patriotism for the first time since 1947. For the first time in decades Indians living abroad are feeling extremely proud of their ‘Mataa Bhoomi” as they have never experienced before in their entire life. Shouts of “Modi Modi Modi” throng through the air in every single country that Modi visits. Sold out crowds are seen every time Modi holds a diaspora event in foreign countries. Thousands wait and line up for hours to attend these events which have become a source of inspiration, unity, love and nationalism towards Bharat. During all of this Modi is always the unifying factor as children, teenagers, youth, adults, men, women, elderly and well-wishers all come together for the “Modi-fication” of their minds and spirit.
Indeed, it can be said that there is a new birth and resurgence of Bharatyans never seen before in the last 1000 years of Bharat’s existence. This can be called the emergence of the new “Golden Age” of Bharat. Satya Sai Baba had earlier said that India will become the Vishwa Guru of the world once more and His words can now be seen coming to pass. The respect, admiration and love that the world now has for India is clearly seen by everyone now and it’s all due to the Modi factor. For the first time in 1000 years, Bharat has got a ‘Hindutwa Dharmic’ leader as their Prime Minister who eats, breathes and lives Sanatan Dharma. This will only increase more and more as Bharat continues on its journey of being Vishwa Guru once more. Significant Schemes (2014-18) 1. The Jan Dhan Yojna. (August 28, 2014) 2. 210 8 VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM “One World One Family” Building A New India With respect to India’s role in Baba’s Mission, Baba has publically stated on more than one occasion that India has to lead the world once more onto the path of righteousness. This is the main reason why Modi was chosen as by Baba as the Prime Minister to fulfil the role of bringing India back to the forefront of the world. All the recent major developments in the physical infra-structure, digitisation, technology, spacemissions, financial and economic growth, sport, health, education, sea-ports, culture, temples, roads, bridges, railways, shipping, aviation, international-affairs, agriculture etc. are all designed for only one purpose, which is the reestablishment of India as the “Vishwa Guru” of the world. Without India, the world will be plunged into darkness, as it is the only country which can lead the world back onto the path of Dharma and righteousness. This is also why India has to be prepared physically
and otherwise to carry out this responsibility of bringing truth, peace, love, non-violence and dharma back to the world. No other country can do this as none of them has the spiritual capacity to accomplish this task. Avatars take birth only in India because it is the most receptive and conducive land for Divine incarnations. Therefore, only India has the experience and spiritual knowledge required to bring back humanity on the right path. This is why Baba has come and has taken three separate lifetimes in three different bodies in order to accomplish this task. Baba Himself has indicated that India’s Mission is to become the “Role Model” for the world to emulate and that it will become the “Vishwa Guru” once more in Baba’s Mission as it leads the world forward into the ‘new era’ of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. Vishwa Guru India or rather Bharat, is more and more being seen as the Vishwa Guru under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many world leaders have praised Modi for his role in uniting nations around the globe over the last decade or so but more so since the Covid pandemic of 2019-20.
It was India’s global response which catapulted it to the centre of attention of all countries throughout the world. Why was this so? To begin with, India had one of the most difficult task of vaccinating its entire population of 1.4 billion people not once, but twice with successive doses of the covid vaccine. But what was most difficult was the Modi government’s decision to develop its own indigenous vaccine while the rest of the world was using and paying for other western based vaccines. No one thought that India would be able to produce, manufacture and scale up production of its own vaccine as quickly and successfully as they did in the form of the Covaxin, Covishield and Corbevax vaccines. Covaxin, made by Bharat Biotech, was granted emergency use permission for the six-12 age group and was also administered to children aged 12-18, as well as to adults. Two other vaccines were also given emergency approval, namely Corbevax for children aged five-12 which was also administered to children in the 12- 14 age group and Zydus's two-dose jab for children above 12. India was able to scale up production of these vaccines and administered the two doses necessary
for its population which meant that billions of vaccines were manufactured for public consumption. Due to this massive production of vaccines, India was now in a position to donate vaccines to any country who needed them urgently. No one was charged for the vaccines as India gave them free to the needy nations of the world. This was a pandemic and an extreme emergency situation with thousands of people dying daily across all continents and India did not have the mind nor heart to charge countries who could not have afforded to pay for the vaccines for anyone who was facing death on a daily basis. It was this single act of goodwill to all needy nations of the world which started the movement of what is now popularly known as “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” The world is “One Family” was India’s “mantra” and how can you ask your family member to pay for a vaccine in order to save their life when they could not have afforded it. This mind-set provided the base for the emergence of India as the Vishwa Guru once more, as this title was previously held many centuries ago when Bharat as it was known then was at the height of its powers.
This single act of goodwill created an enormous act of faith and trust by all countries in the ability of India to be always there for them in times of crisis. This trust has now manifested in India now being recognised as the leader of the global south as well as the next ‘Super Power’ of the world not only in terms of economics but also in terms of support for all needy peoples and nations of the world. Modi’s trust and faith has been also recognised by his own people as he was unanimously returned to office in 2019 as the Prime Minister and is hugely favoured to so again in 2024 when elections will be held again in India. “Samastha loka sukhino bhavantu” – “May all beings in all the worlds be happy”, is an ancient Vedic prayer which prays for the happiness and well-being of all living entities everywhere and in Modi’s disposition everyone can see this being dispensed to one and all. This is what has endeared millions of persons throughout the world to have that faith and belief that Modi will always be there for them regardless of the situation. It is this confidence and trust which is propelling India on a growth scale never seen before in the last 1000 years of its history. It has been said that the infra-structural developments occurring in India at this time and for the last decade since Modi became
Prime Minister in 2014, is more than what has been achieved in the last 1000 years. Roads, bridges, rails, airports, telecommunication, digitalisation, space exploration, ‘start-ups’, schools, universities, hospitals, trains, aeroplanes, bio-fuels, alternative energy supplies, solar-power, smart-cities, construction, waterways, agricultural produce, social programs etc. are happening on a gigantic scale never thought possible in the history of modern day Bharat. It is a testimony to the fact that India has risen nine places from around 14th in the last nine years to be the 5th largest world’s economy surpassing even its own coloniser in the process and many others. It is even projected that India will be number three in a few years and eventually number one later on. Where has this dynamism, energy, will-power, nationalism, productivity, sensitivity, compassion, confidence, commitment, trust, faith and belief all come from. It has come from the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, who in his own words have said, “I live for Bharat, I breathe for Bharat and I will die for Bharat”. “I not only live in Bharat but Bharat lives in me.” It is precisely these sentiments which have made Modi rise to the top of the world’s leaders in less than a decade.
Underlying all these factors and characteristics of Modi lies an extremely strong spiritual grounding and training which together with his affinity to Bharat’s cultural heritage makes him an ideal leader to lead Bharat and the world back to a Dharmic and spiritual way of life for centuries to come. It is said that “Whenever there is a decline in righteousness, the Lord embodies himself in human form to protect the righteous and restore the Dharmic way of life.” Modi may not be a “God Avatar” in the truest sense of the word but his exemplary life may be the closest thing to being called a “Human Avatar” sent for the purpose of bringing Bharat and the entire world back to the path of righteousness. No one can deny the fact that his words, actions and achievements thus far have demonstrated the ability to uplift and transform thousands and millions of lives in many ways, be it at the physical, mental, economic, health, sporting, cultural or spiritual level. This is the ultimate mission of Sai Baba the “God Avatar” and this is the mission of the “Human Avatar” Modi as well. The road map laid down for the entire world by Modi of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, “One World One Family One Future”, has begun to take firm root in the minds and leaders across the globe.
No leader before Modi in the history of the world has dared to speak of the world as one family with such conviction, confidence and exemplary behaviour to back up his thoughts and words. I dare say that after Modi no one else may also have that courage and audacity to repeat that statement on a global level. Certainly, no western leader has the tenacity or personal resolution to make such a statement, simply because they don’t think, act and live that type of life. Their vision is confined to their own borders and country, whereas Modi’s vision is for a new global family, based on a human-centric approach to solve the world’s problems and crises. Respect for all, dignity and well-being for all and love for all of humanity has never ever before been perceived in the garb of one solitary single individual political leader. “India’s Moment” It has been recorded countless times before in the holy books and scriptures where sages, saints and God-men walked on the face of the earth, but never before in the garb of a political leader. Modi can be considered as a modern-day yogi who lives in the midst of all humanity rather than in the
caves of the Himalayan mountains or on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi. He truly lives the ideal principles of “Head in the Forest and Hands in the Society”, serving all peoples and caring for all. The statement of “Love All Serve All” as espoused by Baba as being the essence of all the Vedas combined together, has found its ideal representative in the personality of Modi. To ‘Love All’ and ‘Serve’ All is one of the most difficult things for an ordinary person to do, more so for a politician who lives, breathes and eats politics every single day of his life, where divide and rule is the order of the day in his daily life. But Modi has been able to lift his spirit and soul out of the human realm and find inspiration, courage and fortitude to promote and live the ideals of Sanatan Dharma while being a politician. To “love your enemies and turn the other cheek” is something which is espoused and confined within the walls of mainly religious shrines and sermons. Very rarely can it ever be seen in the political arena of any country. Yet still, Modi has been able to do just that in the face of all adversity both internally in India and externally in the outer world. To accomplish that requires enormous spiritual faith, fortitude, courage and conviction and more than ever it seems as though the only way this could
have been accomplished was with the assistance of a ‘Divine Force’. When you see Modi’s energy, passion, boundless energy and interaction on a daily basis over the last nine years continuously working without ever taking a single holiday or day-off, you know that there is an internal divine force driving him on relentlessly as though he wants to accomplish everything as quickly as possible before he leaves this world. This relentless pursuit of serving the masses selflessly is the hallmark of all spiritually elevated souls, saints, sages and avatars. This is their modus operandi and this the personality and character that defines Modi. These are the traits of the Divine and these are the ‘Celestial beings’ that embody themselves in the garb of a human being in order to lead mankind back to the path of righteousness, spirituality and divinity. Very few are given this opportunity and certainly Modi is one of them in the modern era. To see and be a part of this era where India is rapidly rising to become the Vishwa Guru under Modi is extremely exciting for all those who live a Dharmic life. It is the culmination of many years, decades, centuries and lifetimes of prayers, devotion, faith
and belief that the righteous life will return one day to planet earth. This is the dawn of the “New Golden Age” that was spoken of so much by Baba before he left the body physically and which devotees have been praying fervently for many decades now. The time has most certainly arrived for Bharat to reclaim its long lost ancient glory and according to Modi: “This is the moment we have been waiting for.” It has arrived and Modi is certainly playing a huge role in this extraordinary moment by taking centre stage in the restoration of humanity back to the path of divinity and righteousness. In Baba’s own words: “Saddhus prayed and I have come. For the promotion of righteousness and the welfare of humanity, I have come to usher in the dawn of a New Age, the Golden Age of Humanity”. “My Mission will not fail. It will succeed in averting the crisis that has come upon humanity”. “It is not something that one can imagine. Its glory is beyond all human understanding”. These words ring loudly in the ears of all Sai devotees as they have waited for decades to have a glimpse of this new age.
The fact that over one dozen countries including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Egypt, France, Fiji, Greece, Maldives, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and United States have conferred their highest civilian awards recently on Modi, speaks volumes for the emergence of India as the Vishwa Guru, with many countries of the world ready and willing to become one family under the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. 85% World’s GDP The fact that the present G20 countries contribute 85% of the GDP of the world is astounding and this will increase as the African Union comprising of 55 countries have now been made a permanent member increasing thus it to G21. What this also means is that this body has become the driving force behind the growth engine of the economy and financial sector of the world, becoming much more economically powerful than the United Nations which is more political in nature rather than being financial and economical based and driven as the G20 is. India with a population of 1.4 billion and Africa with1.35 billion together make up almost 3 billion people, which is more than one third of the world’s population. Can you imagine if these two countries
together start becoming economic powerhouses in the future what will happen to the G21? It will become the most powerful economic force in the world, leaving all other bodies and groupings way behind. The New Global South and emerging countries led by the dynamic and visionary leader Modi, is fast calling the shots and leading the way in terms of economic development. New iniatives of alternative green hydrogen energy and others as proposed by the G20 of 2023 in Delhi and the new economic corridor planned from India to Europe via the middle east has propelled a new vision for trade and transfer of technology at a much faster rate than ever before and signals a new world order in the making by-passing China as the main manufacturing hub of the world. All of these developments have positioned India as a major player and leader in the future logistics of the financial world with its ability to harness and forge new relationships with other countries based on a human-centric approach to economic development. The world seems set for a new transition from a few countries dominating the world to a more broad-based people centred approach across all continents as envisioned by “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, where all countries are given the
opportunity to share and participate in the new emerging world order. Bharat’s history over thousands of years is full of instances of sages, saints, sadhus, avatars, yogis and God-men who incarnated for the sole purpose of teaching and leading mankind back onto the path of dharma, whenever they have strayed away from the path of divinity and righteousness. To even think of naming or identifying them would be a futile task as many of them were incognito and went unnoticed for the duration of their lifetimes, choosing instead to live a recluse life of solitude and meditation in the hills, mountains, caves and ashrams in the forests, jungles and Himalayan mountains. It is through the teachings and examples of the lives of “simple living” and “high thinking” of these Godmen that millions have come to learn of the ‘art of living’ a divine life, whilst in the midst of normal everyday existence in the mundane world. To experience the oneness of all creation as exemplified by these divine personalities, is the ultimate lesson to be learnt from these spiritually enlightened souls and to follow in their footsteps and become like them is the ultimate goal of every ‘sadhaka’ on the spiritual path of enlightenment. Prema Sai’s Mission will be to usher in this “New Golden Age of Enlightenment” by facilitating the
concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, where everyone realises the divinity of both himself or herself and everyone else whilst simultaneously living in the householders’ life. It will not be necessary for anyone to go anywhere to experience the Divinity and “Oneness of Creation.” It will have to be done right in your own home! This is the message that will be sent by Prema Sai, that all entities are “Divine beings” and that ultimately “All are God.” So the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” will initially be to teach that the whole world is one family, which is the first step on the path of divinity. The second step which will be to teach that everyone is divine and then finally to teach that all are really the one divine entity of Brahman consciousness. When that is achieved then all with live in the reality that everyone is one and that everyone belongs to the same “Divine Consciousness.” Then, where would be the need for wars, fighting, killing etc. when the realisation dawns on oneself that everyone is killing their ‘own self’ and not someone distinct from themselves. How foolish it would be then to realise that everyone is a reflection of the same divinity and that by destroying someone else you are really destroying
the very divinity of which you are a part of. These are the highest lessons that Prema Sai will come to teach by setting an example through his own life of how each and every one should live their own lives. This is why He would be travelling and living in many parts of the world in order for everyone to see and experience first-hand how to conduct themselves on a daily basis. The in-fighting, wars and violence present amongst many in the world today is but a stark reality of the ignorance of the divinity present in each and every one. To change this mind-set and to plant new seeds of the divine nature inherent in each one is the task of the Avatar. To join Him in this Mission is a privilege and blessing for anyone who wishes to accept this responsibility. To work in conjunction with the Divine Avatar in accomplishing this task will not only help to show the way for others, but also for oneself in the journey towards self-enlightenment. “One World One Family One Future”
9 PREMA SAI ENTERS THE “MISSION” For many, the very mention of the name Prema Sai immediately brings a flood of emotion and hope into the lives of people. But the questions always arise in the back of their mind. When? Where? How? Some answers to these questions have been provided by Sri Madhusudan Sai, although Baba always has the prerogative of the final say in everything. Things do and can be changed or altered by Baba according to the prevailing conditions and atmosphere at the time especially with respect to Prema Sai, but some things will remain the same. To begin with, Prema Sai will continue the “Sai Mission” when He announces Himself to the world just like when Baba announced Himself to the world at age fourteen. At that time no one knew for sure what was going to happen and likewise now, only Baba knows for certain what the minutest details of Prema Sai would entail. Where it would take place? How it would be carried out? When would He declare His Mission?
Who would be the “players” in this continuing Mission? How long would it last? These and many more questions cloud the minds of the most ardent Sai devotees ever since Baba “left” the physical form in 2011. For some, the appearance of Prema Sai will represent their one final wish before they also leave their physical bodies, while for others it means the culmination of all their dreams and aspirations for the last chance of attaining moksha or liberation. It is no wonder therefore, that the advent of Prema Sai is one of the most eagerly awaited occasions in the future for all Sai devotees in the entire world. Many devotees have predicted, postulated, guessed, suggested, hypothesized and even claimed numerous aspects of the third avatar in the triple incarnation of Shirdi Baba, Satya Sai Baba and Prema Sai Baba. But only Baba Himself can reveal the truth and facts surrounding the coming of Prema Sai. Baba did say that when He finally leaves the subtle body at the age of 96, that there would be a phase of silent preparation of about six years, which would entail a lot of silence and contemplation about divine truths before He makes Himself readily available in the public domain. During this time however, He may make Himself
privately available for some, although the main Mission will begin when He fully announces Himself to the world. Baba’s mission in the subtle form from 2011-2022 was very, very important because it laid the foundation for the next Avatar of Prema Sai. Many young persons will have the glorious opportunity to have the darshan of Prema Sai, listen to Him and to translate His words. According to Baba, He will speak very little. “He is not like Me,” “I kept talking and talking and talking, but He is not going to talk much. I am building institutions, but He is not going to build institutions.” His language will be the language of silence, which can be understood only in the heart. That Avatar will teach by way of silence. Even if you want to translate His words, there will be nothing to translate! Neither will He speak, nor will He require translation. Everything will happen in the heart. You will have to understand these messages properly when you are in His presence, because His silence will also have to be understood. No translator, communicator or mediator will be required. Only heart-to-heart communication will be experienced, because everything will happen
within your heart. He will not speak in any language, yet everybody will understand. Whether you are a Portuguese, French, Spaniard, Italian, American or an Indian, everybody will understand what He has spoken to each one of them silently from the depths of their heart. The “Student” Baba continued to say that Prema Sai would come to Muddenahalli as a small boy, not yet a teenager and that He would have to be educated and looked after. When exactly will Prema Sai come? Swami has said that when Prema Sai is about twelve years old, He will come to the ashram in Muddenahalli. Baba also said that, “Between His twelfth and fourteenth years, He will be in Muddenahalli, but will still not be aware that He is Prema Sai, although He will start having some strange spiritual experiences. It is sometime during His fourteenth year that He will start having these spiritual experiences, which would simply distinguish Him from the rest and that will be the time for Him to get ready for His Mission. Between His fourteenth and nineteenth years, He
will be educated and trained to look after the Mission and take it forward. In the nineteenth year of His life, He will take charge of the whole Mission, but His Mission will not be the construction of schools and hospitals. That may happen and some devotees may take up projects and do it. However, He will be more of a spiritual teacher and His presence itself will be enough to guide humanity.” So, at age nineteen, He will formally take charge of things. Until then, Swami will be with us in Muddenahalli, guiding us how to groom Him, train Him and develop Him into the next leader of the mission. In the course of his nineteenth year, He would take charge of the mission and would periodically travel to all the parts of the world at various times. He would stay in the ashrams abroad to spiritually guide humanity. During the period between nineteen and twentyfive, He will also start travelling around India as well, meeting with people and doing what He has to do, which will continue until His twenty-fifth year. That is how the first twenty-five years of His life will be, mostly spent in India, but some part of it in other countries too.
In the twenty-fifth year of His life, He will then move into the next phase, which is mostly living abroad in the overseas ashrams, which are getting established now. The next twenty-five years of His life from 26-50 will primarily be spent abroad in these ashrams and He will only come back to India once in a while for certain occasions or festivals. During the last part of His life, the last four years, He will return to India for good and will finally take rest or “Samadhi” in India. Ultimately, He will live for fifty-four years. Baba said to Madhusudan; “You have to be with him and help train Him. First, they will ignore you, then they will laugh at you, then lastly, they will fight you and finally you will win. Imagine all the children, elders and devotees, sitting in silent contemplation of the Divine, with the Master Himself sitting in silence right in front of them. No words would be spoken. We would all have to connect at a very deep, heartto-heart level, yet we would still be able to understand everything that He would want to tell us and we would need to know. Imagine an ashram like that. At this point, it is difficult to visualise, but that will definitely be the future of all Swami’s ashrams. People will gather just to bask in the silent energy of the Master.
Swami said that Prema Sai’s energy, His “shakti,” will be so powerful that His presence itself will be enough. You will feel the vibrations in the spiritual ambience of His presence. “Sai Amor” means ‘Sai Prema’, which is both ‘Love for Sai’ and ‘Love of Sai’. Devotees’ love for Sai and Sai’s love for devotees.” Therefore, “Sai Prema should lead you to Prema Sai. This love for Swami and Swami’s love for you, should purify and qualify you enough to be in the presence of Prema Sai.” He has set the bar quite high when He cautioned, “Unless you develop that kind of love, it will not be possible for you to qualify to be recipients of Prema Sai’s presence.” Baba started cautioning us way back when He used to say, “There was a primary school, there was also a high school and finally, there is going to be a university. As you grow, you must evolve from each stage Primary, Secondary & University Puttaparthi was like a primary school for very small children. Muddenahalli is like a high school for older children. When you finally graduate from here, that is when you can enter the University of Prema Sai.” We all know that a University is always tougher than a
high school, which itself is harder than primary school. There is a lot more teaching in the lower classes, but there is only self-study at the university level. The professor only comes once in a while, tells the students what to study and then the rest is up to the students to do it for themselves. “A good Master is one who tells you where to look, but not what to look for.” Prema Sai is going to be in one of the schools in Muddenahalli in the physical form in flesh and bone, but He will not communicate much with words. Communication with Him will happen at the thought level or maybe even beyond. Swami said there are four kinds of languages. The first one is Para, where there are no thoughts, rather there is only a feeling. That is the highest level of communication. The second one below that level is Pashyanti, which refers to the communication that happens through visions. The third level is called Madhyama, in which communication happens at the thought level, something like telepathy. The fourth level and last is the lowest form of
communication called Vaikhari, which is the usual communiqué through words. Prema Sai is not going to use many words, so that option is out. The other way is probably at the thought level. Then there is the vision level and finally, the highest level occurs where there are not even visions, thoughts or words. It just happens due to perfect alignment with the Master. “You will know when He comes. If you look deep into His eyes, you will know that it is ‘Me.’ That is the only way you will know that He is Myself.” Although Prema Sai will be there, there would also be Sathya Sai. Just like when there was Sathya Sai, there was also Shirdi Sai. “I will be there to guide you until you groom Him to the age when He can take charge of things. Then My role will be over.” What started with ignoring ‘Sookshma Swami’ and all that was happening at Muddenahalli? Initially it was the focus of their mockery but as the mission grew further they could no longer afford to laugh it away, so they began resisting. It was during that time that the opposition to the mission of Swami in the subtle form was intensifying. One day, Narasimha Murthy was a bit disturbed by
the happenings around Muddenahalli. Baba said, “What, Narasimha Murthy! You are getting disturbed by these small happenings. Watch the controversy when Prema Sai comes!” Well, that is why I said that we have to be really pure at heart, otherwise we won’t be able to understand Him. No one will be able to explain Him, endorse Him or validate His presence. Each will to have to experience His divinity for his or herself, and that won’t happen unless one is pure enough. So I am sure it is going to be controversial when Prema Sai comes. Well, Baba is known for controversies. Every ten years or so, there have usually been a huge upheaval in Swami’s mission. He shakes the tree every once in a while and all the dry leaves fall. If the past is taken into account, then that is how the future is also going to be. So when Prema Sai Avatar arrives, only those who cling tightly to Him will stay on. The rest will float away. You can probably teach Prema Sai some English, Kannada or Mathematics. It is going to be fun, right? Like Sage Vasishtha’s privilege to teach Rama or Sandeepani’s privilege to teach Krishna or John the Baptist’s privilege to teach Jesus.
It is that kind of an opportunity, where you have an Avatar running around, playing football and cricket, the best part being, all the while He would not even know that He is an Avatar! It is going to be another Purana in the making. ‘Mandala’ Baba said, “Look at this ashram that I am establishing here in Muddenahalli and all the other ashrams around the world. They are all forming a “Mandala.” It was the first time that Baba had used the word ‘mandala’, a yogic term for a mystical circular geometry of energy. He continued, “I have begun this ashram and all the other ashrams, from Australia to Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Dubai, Nigeria, Europe, Latin America and the USA, in order to form a “mandala” around the earth. These ashrams are energy centres and they will connect to each other to form an energy sphere around the earth, in order to elevate the consciousness of the entire world. Those who come into this sphere of energy will undergo spiritual transformation. That will be the role of these centres of spirituality.” Baba further explained this concept with an example:
“Take a power station, which produces electricity. Transmission lines transmit the electricity through substations and transformers to all of the nearby and surrounding areas. Likewise, India is the spiritual powerhouse and all the other ashrams are like substations with transformers which are connected, not through physical transmission lines, but through spiritual transmission lines in another dimension. Just like when an electricity transmission line passes through your area, you can draw current from it, similarly, these spiritual transmission lines will pass through all these countries and people of those countries will be able to draw the spiritual energy for themselves.” Some of us have read about such things in spiritual and metaphysical books and might have even learnt about it from the mystical predictions of certain clairvoyants. Many have proclaimed that a day will come when the earth’s energy will rise to a higher vibratory frequency, which will then cause a rise in human consciousness. Those who are not able to evolve and allow that higher energy to flow through their being, will not be able to fit into the future and will simply have to fall out. They will not be able to sustain themselves,
due to the changes in the energy and may even go insane. The whole world has been evolving all the while. At some time long ago, we were all shapeless amoeba. From single celled organisms, we have developed into the complex, multi-celled organisms we are today and as time passed, temperatures changed and weather conditions changed. Some of these species perished, whereas others survived by adapting to the changing surroundings. Those who evolved along with nature continued to thrive, whereas those that did not, couldn’t fit into the whole picture and had no option but to simply withdraw or perish. That is exactly what is going to happen now at a spiritual level. So, spirituality cannot be taken lightly any more. It cannot be just like a Friday namaz, a Sunday mass, a Thursday bhajan or a Monday pravachan (spiritual discourse). A little more effort has to made to raise our understanding of ourselves and to raise our energy levels, in order to develop pure, positive thoughts. That is not possible unless our hearts are filled with love. Love is the root from which all positivity emerges. Swami said, “Unless you develop this kind of positive energy, it will not be possible to survive the future.”
It seems clear that if we do not perform, we will perish and soon become extinct, not merely physically, but even otherwise! This is a warning from Swami! Does it mean we need to perform tremendous austerities to achieve it? Well, converting ‘Sai Prema to Prema Sai’ is the simple formula. Develop the kind of love which is so pure, so intense, so free of all desires and negativities that it just makes you God. The future is only for divine people. Baba said, “Once the Golden Age comes, it will be like the change of seasons. Some trees perish when seasons change. Likewise, some people will simply not fit in. They will not be able to transition from this Age to the next.” Why is Baba doing all this? As He explained, “For those whom I love and those who love Me, I want all of them to be with Me, as I transition into the next phase of this Avatar. I want them all to enjoy the proximity of the next phase of the Avatar. That is not possible unless they all rise together.” It is not possible if we just remain as we are now and hope that Swami, the ever compassionate One,
