I visited PSCMRCET campus on 7th July 2017 and delivered guest lecture and participated in
the panel discussion on “Sustainable Transportation Planning in Indian Cities.” I was pleased to
know that “SKPVV Hindu High Schools Committee” had been in existence for more than a
century in serving the society in the field of education. I learnt that the committee, looking at
the societal need for quality education in engineering and management disciplines, started
PSCMRCET in the year 2008.
I am happy to notice that PSCMRCET is striving to play a leading role in providing quality
education and shaping the careers of the youth. I am sure the management will make the
engineering and management education accessible to all sections of society, especially the
marginal and disadvantaged sections. Their continued efforts in improving transparency and
accountability while dealing with the stakeholders will take them ahead of other players in this
education sector.
I congratulate the editorial board of this college magazine “PSCMR MUSINGS” for their dedicated
efforts in compiling the activities and achievements of PSCMRCET and making the magazine
informative. This magazine, I believe will serve as a bench mark for continued improvement of
the college in all directions.

I have been following the progress of PSCMRCET for the last ten years, since its
inception. I have observed that there is bright learning of both the teacher and the
student in the college. I am particularly happy because this is in accordance with
our logo. In our logo a part of Sanskrit shloka from Bhagavad-Gita namely “TEJASVI
NAVADHITAMASTU” is put along with a burning light. As many of you know, this is
what Krishna says it to Arjuna to mean “learning of both of us (the teacher and the
student) may be bright.”
The journey of achieving excellence is strengthened by making the students reach
the pinnacle of perfection and professionalism in whatever task they take on. I am
glad to know that the management, principal, faculty and staff of PSCMRCET have
been supportive of the various activities being undertaken by the students to achieve
this goal.
The college magazine exhibits the activities and achievements of the faculty and
students and thus exemplifies the voyage. I appreciate the struggle and hard work
under gone by the editorial team in bringing out the college magazine “PSCMR
MUSINGS.”
I wish the college will excel in all fronts and be one of the best institutes in the
region in the coming days.

Potti SriSriramulu Chalavadi Mallikarjuna Rao College of Engineering &
Technology, Vijayawada-1 has been progressing gradually since its
inception in 2008. Many worth-noticing achievements have been
recorded since then. These credentials are sporadically known to the
public and student community due to the lack of showcasing or
projecting through a medium. So, I strongly believe that this magazine
will definitely bridge the gap between the accomplishments of the
college and publicity. In this context, I congratulate the editorial team

From the Editor’s Desk
It has been a decade since our PSCMRCET started. Though a decade is not a long period in the
age of an institution, we have made good progress on several fronts. We know “The best is yet
to come.” However, we want to put our activities/achievements in print.
This magazine in your hand is a reflection of our progress in the last decade though it mainly
shows the events of the current academic year. Putting a magazine together is no cake walk. I
would like to thank all my editorial team members for helping me pull this through. I along
with my editorial team members have put generous amount of time and effort to make this
magazine stand out. I profusely thank the management for giving support and encouragement
and a free hand in this endeavor.
So here you have ‘PSCMR MUSINGS,’ the long awaited magazine of PSCMRCET for the year
2017-18. It is the willingness to share knowledge, concerns and special insights with fellow
beings that has made this magazine possible. We have been thinking carefully and for a long
time about presenting the various activities and events that are taking place in our college and
the achievements and accomplishments of our students and staff in bringing laurels to the
college.
These thoughts (MUSINGS) are put in print and wish we are successful in conveying the greatness
of our college through this magazine. With a sense of pride and satisfaction I would like to say
that with the active support of the management, faculty and students, ‘PSCMR MUSINGS’ has
come alive. I truly hope that the pages that follow will grab your attention and enlighten you
about our college. I congratulate the editorial team for making “PSCMR MUSINGS” innovative
and inspiring.
