Notice Board is commonly used in various institutions which
we come across on a daily basis. Also, it is the best place to
put on any kind of information, but sticking or pinning various
notices invariably is a difficult process. This project is
developed by J. Mounika and M. Vijaya Nirmala, The process
is made easy by designing an Electronic Notice Board using

14) Shaft driven cycle (Chain less Cycle)
A shaft-driven bicycle is a bicycle that uses a drive
shaft instead of a chain to transmit power from the pedals
to the wheel. Shaft drives were introduced over a century
ago, but were mostly supplanted by chain-driven bicycles due
to the gear ranges possible with sprockets and derailleur.
Recently, due to advancements in internal gear technology,
a small number of modern shaft-driven bicycles have been
introduced.
This project was carried out by the final year mechanical
students when they were in the 1st year under the guidance
of Mrs. N.V.Malavika, Assistant Professor.

17) Light transmitting concrete (LITRACON)
Transparent concrete also called translucent concrete or light
transmitting concrete is achieved by replacing aggregates
with transparent alternate materials. The bonding material
in transparent concrete may be able to transmit light by using
clear resins in the concrete mix. Optical fibers and fine
concrete can also be used for getting transparent concrete.
S.Ravi Shankar, T.Paravatheesam, U.Satish, A.Vamsinath of
IV year Civil Engineering department had prepared LITRACON
under the guidance of Mrs. S.Naga Bhargavi, Asst.Professor,
and exhibited it in various events and won prizes in many
fests.
18) Fabrication of combined vertical axis wind turbine with solar
panel plate
The main aspect of this project is to utilize natural resource
more effectively and sufficiently. This prototype, consists of
blades made up of frp. The entire setup is made for
experimental purpose only. The result is that it runs very
comfortably at low speeds. B.Sandeep, B.Rajesh, Ch.Nani
Babu, K.Ravi Teja, Md. Mohiuddin Khan, P.Nava Teja, T.Shiva
Narayana, V.Deepak, students Of Diploma fabricated this
prototype under the guidance of Mr.B.Hari Kumar, Assistant
Professors.
19) Design And Fabrication Of Box Transportation Machine
This project aims at four link transport mechanism. The
mechanism to be developed in its simplest form would
perform the function of transporting boxes/articles which
are being fed onto two rails and are moved ahead one by
one. The four bar mechanism allows moving more than one
article. Transport mechanisms generally move material and
their applications lies in various industries-manufacturing,
assembling, packaging etc.

h. Toast Masters Club
Who are Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development.
The organization has more than 352,000 memberships. Members improve their speaking and
leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up the global
network of meeting locations.
Why Toastmasters?
The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others.
These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate.
How is it achieved?
By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve
their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every
Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their
stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through
a community of learners, they find their path to leadership.
Toastmasters at PSCMR
PSCMR College of Engineering & Technology strives “to offer a high quality professional education
and training blended with a high sense of discipline and ethics to shape the students into people
who can play an effective role in the development of a knowledge society and thereby striving
to bring the light into the lives around them with human outlook”. As part of this mission the
college wishes to start the first ever College level Toastmasters club in Andhra Pradesh. The
club already has the consensus of the Toastmasters Division and is currently in the pre-chartering
process.
76
Journey So far..
• Under the flagship of Toastmasters International, PSCMR successfully hosted Master Orator
Championship (MOC) 2016 & 2017. MOC is a hunt for the best orator in the college circuit
of the two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Nearly 300 students from colleges in
and around the city participated in the event and were shortlisted for further rounds.
• Students from the college won laurels at semi finals of MOC and made it to the finals
during the last years.
• Bagged the opportunity to host MOC, 2018 for the third consecutive year and the
registrations are in full swing with an expected crowd of 300 students from colleges in the
vicinity.
• Pre-chartering meetings are
conducted every Thursday with the
guidance and mentoring of Division
members. Enthusiastic and
prospective members of the
college give prepared speeches and
take part in table topics
• The division is thoroughly happy
and convinced with the efforts of
the college and had given approval
for chartering of a club at the
college.
