Pristine Pearls(1)_Neat

Dark Forces

The mourning earth,

With its present dirt,

Is struggling hard,

To break the shackles,

Of terrorism and slavery,

Which are bound by names of,

Ram, Krishan and Mary!

Humanity is being murdered by guns,

On the names of God and religions.
The dark forces,

Intend from their very birth,
To take away light,

From our Mother earth.

These forces with their guns,

Have conspired to engulf the Sun.

The earth is divided along communal lines,

Which has left on people,

Its peculiar signs.

Struggles will have to be made,

Pristine Pearls | 35

Many joys have to laid.

You all are a flame,

Which has to spread its glow.
Try to rise above all religions,

And become
A perfect human on this region.

Memories

Here’s a riddle for you

Can you name a thing,

That you hold from your past

Yes!

Its the prodigious memories!

Its the record,

Of the gone moments in mind,

Which nudge you to remind.

Its a lovely delirium,

In which,

Only you and your past,

Are the mediums.

Memories are like,

The steps again encarved,

On the sand dunes of time,
Which are faded,

By the dust of time,
And forgotten,

By persons who stepped on it.

Pristine Pearls | 37

But the glorious memories,

Rejuvenate them,

And give a new life,
To every forgotten step

Of the past gap.
Through this marvelous process,

Every moment,

Every precious second,

Is converted into a perpetuate one

The odour remains forever,

The fragrance swirls in mind,

For ever and ever and ever.

The Two Diamonds

Those precious moments of my life,

Are still like treasures of mind

When the doctor said,

I had some chance to see

The ‘see’ was not merely,

A word spoken to me.

The day came after the operation,

When my bandage was to be opened,

My heartbeat could be heard,

Even at the hall’s end

The rounds of bardage were finished.

And in the next moment,

My life’s long darkness,

Seemed to be diminished.

Yes! I could see everyone, everything

I was one of them, in every being
For first time,

I saw beds, tables and people,
And I saw their eyes,

Pristine Pearls | 39

For me which were not,

Merely a source of getting beams!

I thought,
They were real diamonds of life,

For those,
Who are and were devoid,

Of them from long time.

For the first time,

I saw mine eyes in the mirror,

I myself did not knew exactly. What so precious,

I was missing all those years

those special moments

with some fear,

whenever I remember them,

are accompanied with tears!

Wishes

Few wishes adorn my bucket list,

Their attraction,

Make me move ahead,
With new gist.

Seeds of my wishes,
Are sown in manure of life.

Some tiny saplings take wings,

My eyes dig in this plethora,
Have a view of new flora.

Some saplings get life,
Others get drowned,

With deep sad sighs.
Let this game continue, with vigor anew,

And whatever takes in lieu..............

My this petty little game,
Doesn’t let life turn lame.

I don’t wish for fame,
But certainly want,

Few loved ones,
To remember my name!

Silent World

The cold breeze sways past me,

Smoothly, silently, quietly

I don’t hear its gush,

Maybe it has sensed my exception,

Or had read the caption,

‘the silent world’

Stippled on my soul, my being,

Stumped on my life, my spring.

Though it’s my tiny cocoon,

Though it’s so quite,

But here’s also the pounding of heart,

So don’t tear it apart,

By your harshness, your ignorance.

Come to me,

Talk to me,
Listen the silent music,

Of the silent life.
The life which thinks,

Its the creation way,

Pristine Pearls | 43

The life,

Which waits for the day,

when the world will speak
and I will hear,

and can say,
‘Thank you, God Dear ............”!

Tomorrow

Don’t yet close your eyes,

There still something that lies,

For you, for everybody.

It’s going to be end of today,

May be the day was not yours,

But there’s something,

That creeping towards you,

Silently, slowly, smilingly,

know what!
Well its tomorrow,

That timidly transverses today,
Waiting for it to diminish,

But not yet finish.

Tomorrow is an essence of today

Encapsulating surprises,

That may have been late,

But that is in store for you,

In the coming date.

Some new buds will sprout tomorrow,

Pristine Pearls | 45

Some new lives will open the eyes

Some new footprints,

Will stipple themselves in sand,
Some new tunes,

Will play on life’s band.
Wait for this advancing tomorrow

Wish for it

Work for it

And it will be simply yours!

The approaching tomorrow

Tunes the remains of today

Exchange their space,

And the tomorrow emerges,

As a new ‘today’

A new day, they to you say,

have a good day!

My oyster is worthless

Until it doesn't have pearls

My pearls have no value

Until they come out of shell

My words are of no use
Until they come out of my thoughts

Heart Beat

The thumping Pit-Pat

Wondering where its at!

It’s something small and bright,

Something of value and light

It’s the heartbeat,

Ticking without exhausting,

sticking on same mounting.

It’s yours and mine,

Stretching on continuously,

Into an infinite line..............

Although its a small beat,

But Could be valued,

As our life’s seat.

When it starts,

It’s a door of life,

When it ends,

It’s a gate to death!

It’s the beautiful music,

The whispering lullaby,

Pristine Pearls | 49

The stippled delirium,

The precious dream,

The life’s song,
That’s so special and long

And make the essence of
Emotions and feelings livelier,

For whom so ever, it belongs!

My words fall short, to describe its every dot

The enormous heart,

Continues to beat

Listen to heartbeat, it’s again the same,

Pit-Pat, Pit-Pat ............

Life’s Bag

Our life’s bag,

Is full of gifts and prizes,

Some sorrows,

And lots of surprises.

The dark night may seem long,

The tears bit more acrid,

But the beauty of new dawn,

Spilling light,

After a long, long night,
Is mesmerizing,

Is miraculous,
And the radiance of it, Makes the faces lit.

Because if suffering in there,

So are the miracles....

There’s a knock,

I guess my miracle has come to me,

Let me open and see............

Hidden Treasure

A tiny hump,

A faint thump,

A small tug,

Now and then

And you assert your presence,

And I sense your essence.

A tiny life growing inside me

Which though I can’t see

But comprises a beautiful world,

Known just to you and me !

I imagine you moving and sleeping,

Smiling and weeping,

I smile myself, feeling your kick,

Thinking that ice-cream I just had,

You would lovingly lick!
It’s a beautiful journey,

Just yours and mine
Knowing each other

Already making me begin,

Pristine Pearls | 53

To feel like a mother.

I am waiting for you,

My hidden treasure,
My tiny miracle, to see you arrive,

Kicking and so live!

The Last Chapter

Till there is life,

Till there is music,

Till there is light,

One swims, one strikes, one fight,

There is wish to live,

There is voice to hopes,

There is vision to future.

But once the life starts to fade,

Sitting silently in Past years shade,
The wishes turn to blessings,

Hopes turn to illusions,
And future drowns in times oasis,

The eaganers to swim in life tide,

Twists into gentle sway,

Letting the time guides its way!

A life,

Which has passed the long passage of years,

With a hope, a smile,

A spark in his eyes,

Pristine Pearls | 55

Why it has to end the last chapter,

Uttering silent good byes,

Praying every moment of leftover days,
To the ‘Angel of Death’

Begging to engulf in its girth,
And bestow a new birth,

By essencing him in its mirth..........!

Hand In Sand

Little plump hand,

I immersed in white sand,

Making castles, tiny huts,
High tower, even a snowman.

I can do, all I wish,
Can even fish out a dish

I don’t have prying eyes on me,

It’s my world, only I can see.
My castle could be imperfect,

Just like me!
But i can still be its architect,

Without anyone instructing,
About the length or breadth.

The size is mine,

The design is mine.
Let me drown in it for a while,

Before anyone curbs my smile
Nobody has to evaluate it

There’s lot of ‘me’,
In its every bit!

Our Thread

It’s like a long thread,

Which we all have to tread
Both ends of thread,
Are birth and death,

And what lies in between,

Is our own story..... our life!
Life’s thread texture varies in patches,
Twisted, knotted in latches.

Co-joined by other threads, weave cobwebs at intervals,
Left by some,

In midst, resulting upheaval.
But the single thread continues,

From the start, till the end.
It’s your life, your thread,

Loved ones join you on way,
Friends you make each day,
Relations you adorn at bay .

Children you sear, along way!

You guaze its length, won’t be of use,
As this factor,
‘He’ has kept as ‘His’ muse!

Visitor

The place is nicknamed ‘Home’

But far from it,

It is an ‘Old Age Home’

Sacking persons,

Like setting suns,

Are politely admitted here as,

“soon going to be dead”!

Feeble voices, waning sights,

Yet wait for their loved ones,

With each sunrise and night.

The wait goes on ....

And finally a call comes,

“you have a visitor”

I laughed inwards,

How can they call,
Child of my womb, a visitor!

In waiting room, I came to know,
The vi sitor paid monthly dues,

And rushed to his workplace,

60 | Dr. Abhiruchi Makker Kalia

Without having a look at my face!

Again silence ruled this place,

Alas! May be this was his last visit,
As I am not left with many days!

Fogging

Foggy mornings, misty nights,

Forcing eyes to fight,

Pining to see through,

As if heavens are on ‘brew’. you hope more to see the
unseen,

As if, there’s another world,

Hidden to be seen!

The veil of smoke,

Enabling you to hope,

And permitting to the world,

To elope!

Let this earth, move on its verge,

And this blanket of beauty, hiding the sorrows and pain,

Persist to prevail, on each breathing air,

Yet not let the lives bare!

It’s the moment of ecstasy, with the vague hopes
Submerged and hanging.....

I guess...

It’s the God’s way of ‘Fogging’

To cleanse and hide,

62 | Dr. Abhiruchi Makker Kalia

All the crime and grime

From the face of earth,

Which has begun to question,
It’s own ‘birth’!

Pristine Pearls | 63

Earth says ..........

A large chunk of land,

Is registered in my name,

And makes me feel,

I have stomp higher in life’s game!

I stamp on it rightly,

Inhaling ‘My air’ mightily.

Yes, now its all mine,

Stamped in my family line.

But what’s that !
A mock smile stores at me ..............

It’s of my land,
And the earth says........

“you are here only by your birth,

And your name will shine

till you merge in my mirth!

I’m here from ages,

And I’m the only owner,

The name on paper changes,

People come and go on hinges.

I was here,
64 | Dr. Abhiruchi Makker Kalia

I am here

And I will be here it’s you who are on rent,

Till the breath to you
On this earth is lent!

I am speechless what to say,
Suggest some reply and press ‘sent”!

Born Sun

Some moments are wondrous each day,

Yet we fail to register at bay!

The beauty is all there to see

But we are such busy bees!

The magnificent moment is about to occur,

And its not on moment’s spur.

The sky is swollen mightly. As if announcing,

Sun’s birth rightly.

The reddened sky is struggling,

To give birth to the sun,

Which has started to show auburn.

Yes, i could see steak of flaming red

And it’s not a peep

It’s like god sending energy to weak.

The earth’s getting sprayed with its rays,
Free of any charges each day.

The resplendent sun rise into a ball,
Like holding earth, lest it may fall!

Apparently, it looks like

Pristine Pearls | 67

Sun rises and sets each day,

But its our thirsty earth,

Rotating each day,
To soak all over, its each ray .

And to rejuvenate each living cell,
Breathing on earth’s girth.

Each day earth takes a bow,

And let’s the sun,

Take birth from sky’s embryo !!

Leaving

Left today a part of me
Which though nobody can see...

Its like leaving my soul’s imprint
On this world sand plinth

No sign of blood litter
But that moment was very bitter.
I separated myself

But still find,
On same old shelf.

Many a times I question,
If It is was right decision
But I am blocked by constraints

I guess there are some paints,
Not meant to be in my rainbow,

So I am just going by the flow.
Let it be just a turn
And not the end of road

I guess many lanes furrows
It’s a start that burrows

A new horizon
Amalgamating a new sun
Washing anew the earth.

Silence’s Music

The pristine stillness around me

Able to hear and see

So many unseen visions and echoes,

That were simply in front of me!

tall tree, the lonely sentinel’s of night,

Sometimes they appear eager to walk,
And if you listen carefully,

They do talk!
The restless rustling of leaves

The curious creaking of branches,

The crowded deodars and Pines,

Seen conversing with entangled vines!

An unknown tranquil overtakes me,

As I stroll,

Placing feet on dried leaves,

Many forgotten memories,

My mind sieves.

A heavy mist within bounds,

This dry cracking sound

Pristine Pearls | 71

Sky blossomed with lightening at bay

The whispering hillsides on my way.

The honest breeze of cool air
Is letting everything bare

The lifting of clouds,
The gaping mightly mountains,

For a while we city-zones,

Can forget our traffic lanes!

I think this plethera of wonders,

Makes us rush to hills,

To get a refill of oxygen,

In our deprived gills!

Solitary Voyage

I’m a lonely person on this boat,

With it I float
Away from this digital world
But in my this kingdom,
I’m a free bird.
Less comfortable, less complicated

Little dirty, less inflated
Water seems my ally
And time seems to fly
Waves tease me,
Sometimes please me

Fishes surround my boat,
And they,
So naturally float. my day isn’t easy,
But they don’t call me busy

I hold my patience,
Don’t lose my preserves
Waiting is my virtue
Can’t leave it with cry and hue
Catch of the day is my earning

Each day on land,
I leave my every yearning
amidst this water, sun and air,
all my hardships lay bare!

Heavenly Fizz

Was it liquid!

Was it gaseous!

I wonder as it slipped from my hands,

And fizzed off from my mind

I met someone in this state,

Whom I can’t meet,

In any other way,

As that is now, not in my fate!

It was a dream of my mother,

And I can’t clearly gather

Loose from the higher,

And I can’t get near the higher!

But I got to see her smile,

And her farness,

Evaporated for a while
She was so near me,

Like she always used to be!
The heavenly illusion went so soon,

Maybe near the stars and moon.

Pristine Pearls | 75

But left my day fragrant,

Sprayed my being with her essence

It gave a momentary respite,
From long absence

With her real, yet so far presence .

New Lease

A bypassing brush with death,

And it ponders,

Your whole life’s accumulated wealth,

If needed, couldn’t have bargained,

A few more ticks of clock

By any length.

Few leftover stains of that brush,

Sends in your soul, enough ripples

The staggering now thoughts,
That could had been my last sunrise,

Never imagining it to be my last ride
Now the color of my dress,

Doesn’t interest me,

I have visions, much beyond to see!

Wise people say,

‘Live each day as your last’

Instead,

We have made fixed deposits,

For another fifty years,

Pristine Pearls | 77

In safe pits!

We can freeze wealth, but not time

It can slip from our hands,
With speed so sublime.

Savour it,
Till still your clock is ticking,

The battery

Could any moment run out,

Without a new one, to give a bonus bout!

End (Less) Shadows

I always thought

They were endless.

Like sun, like stars.......

How wrong was I !!
Moments with your parents are limited,

With a clock unheard,

Always ticking!
The sun, the stars remain,

But the shadow besides you,

Under the sky
Slowly diminishes and vanishes.....

You stare at the sky,

Searching, asking questions

And it stares back ....... blankly
Value your treasured moments,

With these endless,

Yet perishable stores of love,
You are still shadowed with!

To See Sun Again

Lowered down into the earth,

Encased in this cozy coffin,

Amid flowers and prayers,

now, no more how’s and ‘where’s

I can hear the sniffled cries,

some sobs essenced in the air,

reaching till me, where I lay bare

I absorb and gather all these,

now my ‘rations’ in this narrow lease.

The last rays of sun squeeze in,

Before the mud drowns,

Me and my new din

Can I ever get out?

I t might sound funny,

But its my wish,
To again see sky so sunny!

With passing time,
I see my remains merge,

With seeds around,

Pristine Pearls | 81

And my happiness is out of bound,

When the tiny sapling erupts.

Yes! The goal is accomplished,
I’m out,

and so very erect and perfect.
I’m in different form and unrecognizable

For this world,

I’m must be already a fable,

But I again here,

On this earth’s table!
