Our Silver Jubilee Binder- III
We feel proud to see third edition of our silver jubilee
publication, Gems-III in your hands. We are thankful to all dear
poets, readers, models and artists who have been participating in
our projects on different themes but one concept of pictorial
poetry/prose. They have made our works beautiful and enjoyed
the grace of their pictorial poetry compositions. This concept of
pictorial poetry has totally changed the shape and definition of
poetry. Earlier the poetry books were kept in racks of Libraries
but pictorial poetry anthologies have come out to be on the coffee
tables. Now they have reached to hotels rooms, restaurants,
public libraries, meeting places and so many other venues. This
concept has widened its scope with which we can organize
pictorial poetry exhibition also. Last year we happened to launch
a pictorial poetry exhibition first in the world at Kathmandu,
Nepal from 20th to 27th April 2019. It was highly successful and
achieved "Golden Book of World Records".
Our Gems project is being published and launched by our
international group, World Pictorial Poetry & Art Forum © and
its 33 branches in the world. We have put our sincere efforts to
make a smart compilation of art and poetry where in 72 poems
and 40 paintings from 36 fellow poets and 8 artists along with
their pictures, biodata & 36 Illustrative Pictures are involved.
These pictures have been downloaded from Pixabay.com,
pexel.com and are of our eve models. We are thankful to picture
download sites and our models with which we could make a
beautiful pictorial poetry binder.
Once again, we repeat our words on a universal truth that reads,
"Pictures, Sometimes though being silent speak much more than
words, lines and poems do". In our opinion this combination of
pictorial poetry works as if they were soul and a body. While going
through the history of pictoria poesy or pictorial poetry it has
been found that the "poet is an artist first." Also it has been
described that ''Ut pictura poesis" is a Latin phrase, literally
meaning "as is painting so is poetry". Some centuries ago,
Simonides of Keos (c. 556- 468 BC) had stated, ''Poem a pictura
loquens & pictura poema silens," which translates into English as
"Poetry is a speaking picture & painting is a silent poetry." It will
not a wrong statement if we say, ''Poet is an artist of words, of
feelings and of thoughts who paints in one's heart; Without
making it cry, without letting it bleed. Here we are of the opinion
that Poem is a feel framed in thoughtful words. We had made
them lifetime memories with our creativity.

Trilogy Poetry: Intertwining of the Mind, Body,
and Soul!
Poetry Form Description: "Trilogy Poetry" proliferates the
interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul (“Three Entities”)! Its
essential thesis symbolizes integration, cooperation, and inspiration. The
poem is longer than "Lines of Antiquity of Microbes" by Arum Saroyan.
It's not less than two regular stanzas forming an octave in poetic notations.
It's not as long as the epic Mahabharata, regarding the Kuru Kingdom. It
ends with no more than twenty-four lines like a Pantoum poem or
Claudette sonnet. The poem may comprise any imaginative architecture to
arrive at its encapsulating end. No requirement exists to use Shakespearean
iambic pentameter, interlocking rhyming schemes, or syllabic
accentuations. This is just purely down-to-earth and people-centric poetry
form. The thesis relates to three entities of either: a person, place, or thing.
The corresponding theme should enunciate unity, balancing of vision, and
overcoming. There should be incorporated an inference of hindrance,
creating tension; thus, requiring self-exploration, leading to clarity and
overcoming victoriously on the ensuing journey.

Past-Present-Future!
Running the spectrum impacting humanity
Mixed memory trials—"Sadness and joy!"
Hate! No forgiveness, some won't let go
Eating souls. Uncompromising past—Horrible!
Apprehension reflecting turbulence
Worries negatively impacting hearts.
Tomorrow? Manifestation unknown—"Is it?"
Grey hair! Anxiety attacks—can't relax!
Live the moment. Embrace consciousness
Like the first night with your sweetest love.
Pleasant memories—"Live love's reality."
Transcends torments—Now? "Yes! May never be!"
Mind matters? Take control—Steer your ship
Grasp love— "Precious moments in real-time!"
Mother, Father, Child!
Mother—family's backbone sent from God.
Respected field marshal.
Nurturing, caring, loving—unity abiding.
Greatest cook of refined delicacies!
Father—providing inspirational excellence.
Breadwinner bringing home the cake
Establishing a foundation on solid ground!
Blessed child—beauty from their loving affection.
Hugged instructed, clothed, and schooled.
Never falling far from the tree.
Brings praise to his father and mother!
Honesty, confidence, listening skills—"Vital!"
Quality time and moving together—"Required!"
Humility and civility—"Strengtheners."
Mother, father, child, living lovely—"Harmoniously!”

Petrichor
Petrichor ! What an exclusive smell !
It augurs well !
Parched by summer, the thirsty earth
Hieves a sigh of relief with mirth
First rainshowers tickle the earth
All greet them knowing their worth
Raindrops strewn like pearl grains
They nurture dreams of gains
Pitter! Patter ! melody of assurance
Petrichor spreads promising fragrance
Petrichor generated with showers of pearls
Everyone inhales it lungful dancing with twirls
Raindance with invigorating petrichor
Satiates fully the inner core
Petrichor heralds soon
Much awaited monsoon !!
My Being
They feel my being assertive
For their selfish motive
Judging my passion
They regard me as ocean
Seeing my ability best
They raise me to Mount Everest
When they w'd see me crippling
"My Being" w'd reduce to
"Me Being"
From deep ocean
Reduction to potion
They w'd dismount me from Mount Everest
To take mandatory rest
Further "Me Being" also w'd lose its grace
And reduce its space
Ultimately it w'd become incapable
And exist as a point invisible !!

It Ebbs and Rises
Love water flowed from my eyes
Into the folds within my heart
I nourish it with the emotions well
Right now I am in flood
I long to flow into the ocean of waves
I long to spread my foot through
Your land
I long to feel the truth
This is my intern
I long to rise high like tides
I long to open my arms for sunlight
I yearn to bask in the warmth
Of emerging love
Until we meet again I sleep
And dream of you in wet sand of
My existence.
Last Moments
In life, we all have those moments
those moments where
Everything seems to stop
Pain cease from him
Starts for me
Its quiet and calming
And feel like the moment immensely
paining , drenching and killing
Should never come but it does
Like all things ,it also comes
You are petrified even at slightest thought
Not admitting that you are terrified and broken
But we are beings
Resilient and persevering
Not just surviving but living
With those last moments
In bounding aches and lost moments.

Fire of Desire
When there's fire in one's belly,
To achieve the goals, that longed for;
Satisfaction have no end in life,
But wants changes in time and over.
Brightness of gold sparkles in fire,
And the glittering enchants the body and mind;
Fires of desires in heart uncountable to one,
But the strong will powers are widely bind.
Desires are human for all at a point,
Choices differs and thrives for the maximum;
Sometimes with merits and often by hook or by crooks,
To fulfilled the desires, by paying highest sums.
Where there's desires and adventurous,
Gleam of the fire, burn to its high;
When the speed of the hope faster than the desires,
Success kisses the feet and nearby a neigh.
Let Me Not to Abhor Thee
Let me not to abhor thee at any cause,
O my yesteryear's bosom pals;
Create not hatreds in my mind I lodge,
Am losing my patience for thine gals.
Comrades sacrifices their lives for mates,
But ye art the back-stabber, I felt;
Fundamentalism is thine ugly characters to rates,
Jealousy, opportunist and stone are the hearts, never melt.
It's useless for me to explain again and again,
What profound and genuine friendship is; ?
Expect nothing except togetherness to gain,
A few sweet words are my bliss.
This is not the rewards for searching ye all,
Thine hatreds towards me, but I can't call.

Yesterday
Two days cut from the same cloth,
Touch the same shore, but leave a different froth.
It was tough for me not for the calendar,
For today I have the odour of carrion, yesterday I smelt like lavender.
The moon was the assailant,
Is quiet today, what yesterday couldn’t be silent.
It is just a matter of minutes,
The soul is free today, yesterday it knew its limits.
A new date on the universe is embossed,
Is replenished today, what yesterday was lost.
Exact is the force of gravity,
Is relic today, what yesterday was reality.
The twelve digits on the clock are the same,
Is christened today, yesterday what had no name.
The same sun rose today,
But the dawn has lost what it had yesterday.
My Bare Feet
Bare feet I walk out of the dirty water,
Soaked in mud, I'm the earth's daughter.
I walk steadily; I'm in no haste,
For every moment that
I extracted from life I have to taste.
I walk with no destination in mind,
In this path, solace I hope to Find.
I walk with my future in my hand,
As the sea washes my footprints on the sand.
I walk with my head held high,
My eyes sparkle, my valour does it signify.
I walk till eternity,
As I carry myself with sanctitude and dignity.
Searching for a place where love and sorrow meet,
I walk bare feet.

Monsoon
Before monsoon dust was blowing in my lane, thick and fast,
During monsoon all my desires to fly in the air quenched at last.
Monsoon passed by our small house,
God showed his grace,
I sometimes look at the sky, sometimes at my place.
On the onset of monsoon, water gushes through streets and past homes,
Leaping and splashing around, like children returning home; victorious
from a match.
After monsoon, there is lush green spread over the earth.
Mesmerizing flowers, bewitching leaves, dancing branches swinging
alluring like a beauty chic.
The lines of horizon have completely merged.
The earth is resplendent like a land of dreams.
The little boat floats, steered by rains and winds.
The rhythm of river stirs the boatman to sing.
The pouring rain invites us all to enjoy the site.
Our eyes should remain open and bright.
Liveliness in the house needs noises lively and strong,
Let it be the thunder of clouds, pitter patter rain drops, laughter or songs.
Veil
It is not the veil that oppresses her,
But rather the ignorant mind that judges her.
What is on her head than what is in her head?
Veil is my choice, my right, my beauty.
Be like a diamond precious and rare,
Not like a stone found everywhere.
Come let us all wear mirrors, we will see our faces there.
Everyone will appear attractive to each other.
Meet me, see me, speak to me,
Smile as well for the sake of an old relationship.
Yesterday's newspaper seen and put aside.
In the play of life this tug of war is only one-sided,
Would have been another matter
If one end was given to me.
Stranger than me and can't even be seen.
Someone was unveiling the matted locks of the sky.
She was unveiling her beautiful face
From veil of her golden hairs, looked fully relaxed beauty,
But after a while, lamps lost their light instantly.
In an unknown city nothing appears unfamiliar,
Same faces covered by transparent familiar veils.
Veil is my choice, my right, my beauty.

his quiet moments on the antique armchair
broken by my incessant babble.

Treasures
The old black trunk
one of a few
lock still in place.
The firm hand, name in white brush
the strong smell of many decades.
Drenched in love,
filled with commitment lived out till the last.
Blushing bride in the cantonment
young flight signaller overseas
parting pains, anxious queries.
Bundles of letters
stamped from around the world.
Inlands and envelopes
the written story of tender love.
Stacks of telegrams,
wedding greetings of yore.
Blessings on the couple
who came together in 1954.
Gems time preserved in pristine care
Priceless beyond measure
My fortune, my inheritance
in the black military trunk
marked in his name.

Peace
When you train your mind to process life as it is,
When you let go of people who poison your spirit ,
When you set peace of mind as the highest goal,
When you tame your desires, accept your role,
When you get detached from the strings and possessed by
nothing,
You are on the path of serenity,
Inner peace it brings.
Peace of mind that is beyond any victory or defeat,
It's not absence of conflict,
Its ability to deal with it.
When you free yourself from the resentful thoughts,
Choose to walk away from the doors that are closed,
Flow with time as it takes its course,
You achieve the peace of mind, health of soul.

Being A Man
Men,
How less we talk about them,
But is it easy being a man
Man, the pillar of strength,
To protect woman as father, brother, husband,
Son and as best friend.
His attributes can be seen in the goals,
Dreams and aspirations he trends.
Is it easy for him to work day and night,
To be a shoulder to everyone,
Is it easy for him, when he is expected to sacrifice.
When he doesn't let you know, he is in pain,
Is it easy for him to hide?
Men do cry, get hurt, get scared,
But being a man, he takes control of his tears and fears.
A real man loves his wife, places his family
As the most important thing in life,
He is the product of humility, hard work and sacrifice.
How much do we expect from a man,
He is supposed to smile in trouble,
Gather strength from distress,
To take risks, live passionately on behalf of others,
Forgetting that he has his own battles to fight.
Life is not a competition between man and woman,
It's their collaboration which makes the life bright.
@Anu Girdhar
Life is short,
Make it sweet;
Keep not all flowers
for the grave.

I Chirp! I Cheer!!
I Chirp, I cheer because
I know how to meet all challenges
Neither do I believe in forecasts
Nor do I look up to self proclaimed Gods
I Chirp, I Cheer
I fly on the wings of imagination
Partake every hurt with grit and determination
Experience shall lead to eventual salvation
I Chirp, I cheer
Spreading fragrance of felicity and affluence
In life's rainbow journey flowery and thorny path
I believe in my essence!!
They Also Serve Who Stand and Wait !!
Lights!
Yes far off
I can see, a gleeful gleaming
beckoning, wonder, are they for me?
When there is conflict
between faith and intellect
heart and brain seems
to be far apart
But I accept the fact
both are my parts
balancing act is a actuality
that poses to be hard reality,
Oh God!
bless my bleeding heart,
show me the right path
want to walk with my head high
on my facilities I, only rely
John Milton's words do I comply
“They also serve who stand and wait!”

Hail to Humanity
Hail to Humanity
Our thriving family,
Dominating the Earth,
Its vast lands and seas.
Hail to humanity,
It's tested endurance,
Surviving wars, storms,
Floods, global warming.
Hail to humanity,
It's capability
To rise from poverty,
Even pandemic.
Hail to humanity,
With songs, prayers to God
That we thrive, live in peace
For all eternity.
Let Peace and Love Rule
From our hearts and souls,
Ring some urgent calls:
It's time to wake up!
Let peace and love rule!
No more confusion,
No more separation,
No more retribution,
No more revolution!
No more hatred, violence,
No more betrayal,
No more extremism,
No more ethnic cleansing!
Time for more dialogues,
Time for more brotherhood,
Time for more diplomacy,
Time for greater unity!
So as God has ordained,
Think of good solutions,
Forget bloody wars and divisions,
Let peace and love rule! @Fred M. Lobo

in which you pen your thoughts
in its love until you get so lost
in it to become its thoughts

Love me
I will wait for you to be my friend
my heart for you, with love I stand
for you are the friend I love the most
for your love I dream and roast
sans you the world seems so drab
with you it fetches dreams so fab
sans you my heart doesn't throb
sans you love is just not love
for you are the truth that lives in me
for you it tells me what is right
and that I shouldn't do any wrong
That's 'cause I love you the most
I hold you closest to my heart
don't ever leave me love me the most
for more than me…..I do need you
don't ever hate me I'm your own
without you I know no me
for you are my heart, my flesh and bone
just love me with the love I hope from you
As a loyal friend, think it's my due.
Where Are You
I don't know where to find you my friend
to miss you as no one can
is all I can do now my friend
you were mine once upon a time
but now its hard to go back in time
To find the time when you loved me as mine
A time spent together, when I did shine
To be with you was my dream come true
You broke it before I could realise it in you
And now you lie shattered
In images to pick up
in memories
of dreams lost in you
Once again broken
Smiling now
just thinking of you

Naheed Akhtar
Naheed Akthar, born on 28th of August 1980, in a small village of
Telangana state, India, holds a master's degree in English literature,
which she pursued after having married at an early age, and blessed with
two children. Her early marriage, was an outcome of the sudden demise
of her father. The pain of losing her father is well reflected in most of her
poems.
She seems to have a great love for Classical and Romantic poetry,
however, a sense of originality is vividly seen in her style of writing. She
writes with real feelings of her heart, with which the readers can easily
relate themselves.
She is a lecturer, poet and writer, and dedicates her free time, when she's
away from work, in writing.
Her poems are captivating, with a soulful touch. Some of them, though
brief, have a blend of poignancy and romance. She has animated a few
of her poems on videos, on 'You Tube'. The rendition can be seen to be
subtle, yet expressive.
Besides contributing to various literary groups on Facebook, her poems
have been published in various anthologies and journals, and have also
been published in her own book of poetry, 'Phantasms of My Heart.'
At present, she is working on yet another book, which will be published
shortly. She lives with her family in Hyderabad, India.

Heedless Mankind
"The Mankind”
A stubborn character
Personifies in
"The Theatre of Absurd”
Heedless in his deeds
Celebrates success
While the centrifugal influences
Put forth superficial wins
Over centripetal tendencies
Alas! Why such oblivious
"The Mankind" is
Doesn't reach the highest meaning
How unchangeable
Spiritual faculties obey
The Supreme
Whether in conscious or
Unconscious terms!
Courtyard
Crestfallen gloom
Since light-years
In the heart of mine
Faded as if, there appeared
Ever a trace slight
The darkened canal
Illuminated as ascending nights
Thy indefinite love showered
Soul filling shades bright
Alas! How far the stars climb
They ought to sleep afore eyes
Breaking the canopy by
Taken strange hues
Glooming heart falls afresh
Merely, a barren land.

Three Boats
These three boats...
Me, my silence and loneliness...
Always ride the cloud nine...
Their masts closed...
The bars outreach the sky...
Their stillness
Pierces their shadows
Deep down the bottom...
The silence envelopes
The overwhelming fog
Of desires popping up...
And the loneliness
Takes hand in hand
And surrogates its warmth...
The three make a unity
And ride the evening...

Leaf and The Window-pane
All windows of my abode
Open towards rain...
The gusts bring with them
A colourful unperished leaf
Floating from Fall.
It's stuck on the window-pane
Facing me.
Drowned in its colours, I float back
To its origin
Passing through seasons.
At certain time,
I'm stuck in.
Why did it come to me?
How did it reach me?
Why didn't it wither ?
Was it searching for
a fellow sufferer...?
Now, I sail on the winds
Like that leaf of foliage
Searching for another window-pane.
My inside
is more loving
than
my outside ;
Since I have
a beautiful heart
inside
that loves
everybody.

Bound to Overflow
Ohh, SO desperately I want to hear
"It's only you, love you my love"..!
My peace, my pain, my Romance ...
In the deserted nest of my heart..
I embrace the absence of your cravings
My lonely broken heart, thinking why..
Why you, made me, your own..!
Gone the days.. gone...The craziness of love..
Unaware of happiness and sadness...
The world may forbid....!
What is a chalice..Is bound to overflow...
There will not be any, any..
Complaints about life, without you...
If only the destiny, was to touch your feet..!
And the dew droplets, kisses the petals..
In a new dawn..to Reunite the hearts
Fallen, broken into pieces.. millions...
from the disoriented groove of the vanished moon....!
An Incorporeal Experience
The whimsical dream smiled
In my eyes,
Intoxicated, the thoughtfulness to its ultimacy
Pouring the mellifluence, within the mystical charm..
Of the sanguine tenderness...!
When the heart simultaneously dances Rhythmically...
With the soulful symphony of the melody of a true love..!
Life horizontally advance towards
the magical end.. With the Supreme Bliss
And ecstatic overwhelming euphoria..
Having enormous amiable shadows...
With the surviving patronage of
An Incorporeal experience of
An angelic aura and elated vibes
Within each and every cells of the cosmos
When spirit exhilarated in its ultimate totality
Where one who Inhabited for millions and trillions of Illusory years..
Sudden demise of the devil,
Within the layers of sanskaras...
Feeling of superiority, ego.. Vanishes..
And soul walks ahead, towards a new journey..
Where in life Brotherhood, Peace, Humanity and love,....garnishes...!

Man Without Pen!
Think of the world without light
And ocean without waves
Think of the night without stars
And a mountain without caves
Think of the wind
Determining your destination
Making you incapable to express
Your thought and determination
Think you have no chance
To write the beauty of word
Cannot express your voice
For violence and get discard
Think you want to preserve
Your history for the next generation
But you are unable to express
Or play with your emotion
Think you cannot write your plight
And your life remain in vain and pain
You have all the luxuries ...But
“What's a man without a pen ?"
Dear Self
I always find you , whenever I need help
With you , I can be..... just myself
You and I connect in a way
Standing together every time
Knowing my fears and darkest secret
You are my partner in crime.
Banked on approval from friends
Took you for granted and disowned us
Rushing through career and goals
I was selfish, ruthless ,critical and harsh.
How can I forget all about you.... my sweetheart.
I will come back to you again and again
This time I will put you first.
I always find you , whenever I need help
With you , I can be .......just myself.

Demand of Material Time
Words rest within
and try not for their release
if slate is not available
to hold the cluster of letters
changing continuously
to assume different shapes
depending on the mental state
of the people, at the material time.
Silence, at times, speaks a lot
and helps tackling situations
in the most decisive way
inviting no side effects
of this medication
from anyone
either for or against
the issue being discussed.
Love and Hate Work Simultaneous
It's a peculiar reality to note
how love and hate enjoy vote
on issue that relates the same
earning both glory and bad name.
We feel enamored on hair design
sadly, looking on owns we do pine
but a tiny piece of it on food dish
robs charms of delicacy, loses kiss.
Daughter's responsibilities lighter
makes their parents' smile brighter
but the same in case of daughter in law
is often viewed as unjust or parental flaw.
Government primary school loved much
for study for those with no money as such
but never chosen for own wards as an ideal
love and hate work simultaneous in life real.

Immigration
My heart is just too big for anyone to handle ,
So you must handle it in small sections,
Take pieces one by one with dedication,
Don't drop my pieces in subjugation.
Do you feel comfortable snuggled in cracks?
Does it make you feel better for things you lack?
You peek for my flaws behind my back,
But I stand behind you without any slack.
Your brokenness only increases my affection ,
Make your heart big for larger accommodation,
Collect all the shards and create a space for a monument,
Accept all the cracks and fill them with a solution.
We should have left the city of moths to its destiny,
And written a new chapter beginning history,
Should sail the green seas of the rising east,
Not become a part of immigration to feast.
Melting Sun
Where once lovers sat in melting Sun,
Now dry leaves cover in crispy piles,
And eddies from an Autumn sky,
Swirling softly in twilight's refrain.
Any square foot of Earth is worth,
More than all the snow-white Moon,
Why, this spot on which they stood,
Crammed with crowded memory's hood.
Who walked this path tracing steps
And lingered long on this road ahead ?
Like all lovers stroll into distant haze,
Their shadows gone of days they led.
But I like to think a spark remains,
Of timeless kind when they held,
Each other's hand through thick and thin,
Chill wind blew and Spring withheld.

Want to sometimes through my heart
Through the door,
Want to square up,
But I know I can't handle alone,
What if I vanish,
Will you try, look or cry?
Or will get high?
Because of the things I have done and said,
I can't hold it in
They all burst from my head,
Which ripped my breath,
Waiting for my journey to start,
Going where my dreams like rainbow are arched,
False shades I never can hide behind or before,
All my emotions glore, to find the other they implore,
Oh! the power above !
Truly your forgiveness i may adore,
How do I flow outward and have a downpour,
From my mind's tapping ,nodding,
Napping at core,
Thinking my life shall be forevermore,
I just want you to look up and say goodbye,

You Can't
With the wind I blew,
You can't catch me I knew,
My peripheral vision
Telling me to see
Sometimes the left ,
Sometimes the right view,
Pacing all through the path,
Taking control of the wrath,
Meeting end to end
With the pass mates,
Turning perfectly at bends ,
Going as fast as I could,
Leaving every hustle in the woods,
Sound seems to have no effect,
My eyes on the wire ,
Single mistake could make me heavily perspire,
Red flag ,checkered line
Is the only aim that I conspire,
Head spines Sometimes,
Sometimes wearing helmet
Becomes too heavy,
I feel too tired,
But you know
With the wind I blew
And you can't catch me ,
Even if you knew!

Sometimes my efforts
make me to cry,
when I enjoy
