Before I entered the University of Science Malaysia (USM), I always thought in my mind about life as a university student such as going to class together with friends, going out to eat with firneds, going for a walk withfriends, completing assignments together, participating in programs together and......... But, Perintah Kawalan pergerakan (PKP) order has prevented university students from studying on campus. At that time, I had arrived at USM from Sarawak and that night I received an announcement from USM that the class would beconducted online.......
I continued university life on campus due to expensive tickets (cause Sarawak maa hehe). The surroundings at USM is as quiet as a library.... before starting the class, I need to download apps like Webex, zoom, microsoft team and so on.....but for me it's all new. I'm not good at using it and had to ask for help from the next door neighboor in the hostel. Throught this, indirectly started my journey learning to become a teacher in USM.
My favorite subject during semester 1 is ppk 102 human development and learning. Thiscourseis about self development and learningchildren withspecial needs from infancy to adolescence. By that,wewill have empathy for the needs and problems that faced by these children and adolescents. This course also special focus on children and teenagers who face developmental delay) in various domains of psychological development. I like the way dr Melissa always showed us a lot of video about special children. That video will always affects myfeelings, mind, motivation.
Besides that, This course ppk223 living skills in special education has also taught me to cook. Let me introduce a little bit about this course hehe. This course provide students with methods of teaching skills life that students with special needs need in their daily lives so that they can be independent. These skills include skills from various aspects of personal needs such as personal hygiene and body health care, nutrition, sleep, rest, recreation and so on. Physical movement skills and social skills also will be taught. Here, I am also very grateful to teacher Osman hehe. To be honest, I'm not good at cooking except cooking maggi. But this course requires to produce a video presentation on life skills such as growing vegetables, cooking, sewing, folding clothes and so on. I decided to cook to challenge myself with selfconfidence"yesyoushould try". Finally, i did iteventhoughnotperfect.

wbm102 red cresent first aid training 1 - for every education course at USM it is necessary to take a uniformed body. I choose red cresent. This course should take three years which is 6 semesters. in this course, we will learn bandages,foot marching,natural disaster simulation, masscooking wus101 core entrepreneurship - this course also needs to be taken by every university student to produce a product. The product needs to be sold to make a profit. This course fosters university student practicing an entrepreneurial attitude. Foot marching

During semester 2, I think my university lifestyle a little more relaxed because my schedule is not full than semester 1. The course that I took during the 2nd semester was not heavy. The course I fear the most but at the same time I think this course is fun is pgt203 communication and interpersonal skills for teachers. This course aims to improve the quality of teachers in basic skills such as communication, interpersonal relationships, leadership and construction personality individually and in groups according to the school context so that they can to be a high quality teacher. This course requires us to produce a drama designed by ourselves, need to be acted out to produce audio by involving all members, need to produce a poster for the title of the drama. Every week when classes also have activities that need our to speak out. I think is funny but sometime i feard eventhough that time just online. so conclusion, very intersting!
Besides that, ppk221 reading, writing and arithmetic skills in special education also one of the course that very meaningful. This course aims to provide knowledge and skills to students about concepts, materials, methods and guides to diagnose reading, writing and counting for children with special needs. The focus is on the cause occurrence of problems, criteria for identifying problems, preparation of materials/instruments and a guide to diagnosing problems, and teaching strategies/methods to overcome problems the three skills, namely reading, writing and counting. Here, i also thanks to dr Fadzilah and Dr Roz giving us the opportunity. to produce a self-designed storybook, it is necessary to produce an instructional video to tell a story about a self-designed story. Dari situ, kami lah belajar menggunakan intonasi yang berlainan untuk bercerita supaya murid memberi fokus sepenuhnya.
Wahhhhh, this course ppk201 screening diagnosis and assessment of special children for me very difficult. This course aims to provide knowledge and skills about the diagnosis approach and assessment in the education of children with special needs. Knowledge and basic skills in making detection, diagnosis and assessment to identify and determining a child's problem or disability is important for teachers special education in carrying out their duties can be carried out effectively. insisting on theoretical and practical components to complete potential educatorswith knowledge and skills about common procedures and instruments used to conduct testing against various disabilities. Here, i also thanks to teacher Osman teached this course. this course gives the task of creating your own instrument, finding children to fill/make the instrument we have prepared. Here, i thanks to teacher Osman always comfort our by saying "susah tapi boleh buat". We try our best for task that are given. And i appreciate more.

The third semester is still online learning, My university lifestyle still the same like fully coursework. But for me, is actually a little bit challenge when dicussion about assgniment, task, presentation during online classes or learning, The reason that i say that because this course PGT 219/3 Introduction to Teaching Methods of Humanities if conducted face to face will be easier to master the skills. This course provides exposure to students about important concepts and aspects major in humanities. Students of this course will obtain basic knowledge and skills about teaching methods and teaching subjects humanity through the application of appropriate teaching techniques. Specifically, students who follow this course are trained to plan, deliver, and teachingevaluation.
The course required us to produce a micro-teaching video due to the fact that online classes. To be honest, that are very challenge like hard to find people as a student, limited space at home, no suitable facilities such as whiteboard, LCD, difficult to control thevoice,not seeingthe wholesituation whenrecording. Here, i also thanks to Dr Jamal that taught me basic skills about teaching methods. Teaching methods like induction set, question answering skills, question asking skills, closing skills, clarifying skills, positive reinforcement skills, negative reinforcement skills and so on. I learn more about the teaching method and very useful. We given the change to see and comment to our classmates video. Besides that, i feel a little bit disappointed because this course cannot conducted face to face which is ppk212 hearing impairment. This course give students knowledge about to students about the history of children's education Hearing problems in Malaysia, definition and types of hearing problems, anatomy and ear physiology; characteristics and behavior of children with hearing problems according tocategories of hearing loss and causes of hearing problems as well its impact on learning; implications and development on personality, emotional, and social children Hearing problems; type of group communication hearing problems and basic sign language skills in the Malaysian Sign Code (KTBM); types of hearing tests and hearingaids and so on.
When weneed to learn sign languagefrom onlineclasses (webex), it is very difficult because sometimes lecturer to fast cannot follow, line problem, don't have partner to practice, and so on. But at here, i need thanks to Prof Aznan that taught our sign language, sharaing about their experience, Prof Aznan also have produce a sign language book that is really powerful and useful. When weforget, wecanreferfrom the book. Eventhought the sign language book is thick. But its worth hehe. I like to learn sign language because for me its very instersting if we communicate through sign language withfriends.

This course is very interesting compared to other courses. This course encourages unusual/creative ways of solving problems. There are several techniques that are taught such as six hats, each hat represents a differentfeelingso theproblem solvingis different. pgt202E basic educational measurement & evaluation - This is an introduction to the basic concepts pertaining to testing, measurement and evaluation for classroom teachers. The focus is on item and test construction, analysis, interpretation and improvement of items in both objective and subjective tests. Students need to display their mastery and skills in all of the above mentioned concepts by completing a set of individual assignments.

Thiscourse will includes all categories of learning problems that are type learning problems neuropsychological/ developmental and also academiclearningproblems. During the internship, students will work as assistant teachers to education teachers special in the program and help in teaching students with specialneeds as well as the administration of special education programs. Students of this course are also required conduct a brief study under the guidance of a special education lecturer and build an Individual Education Plan (RPI). In addition, students of this course need to studying the characteristics of students with special needs, and how to manageand teach students. Please allow me to write more about this course because it very meaningful for me which is ppk290 intership. The main objective of Internship I is to provide initial exposure and experience actual Special Education Program. Students will be placed in either program special government or non-governmental organization education for one month (4 weeks).

The school where I intership is a Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas (SKPK) Kuching, Sarawak. This school prioritizes students with vision problems but accepts students with autism, ADHD, down syndrome in the end due to the lack of students.

But he remember my name based on he heard when i communicate or interaction with other teacher. Its very toching. Even though he can't see how teacher Aileen is but he know you from your voice.
in one of the programs, I was given the task of being a facilitator for school students living in the hostel. The program is a competition to produce 3D materials such as red flowers, KLCC, malaysian flag and so on. teacher: ummm, can I borrow the teacher a pencil. student: teacher, I don't have a pencil because I use a braille machine. I screamed in my heart. why ask stupid questions!!! Because they are visually impaired students. Then, I asked another teacher that that student is a blind student? She answer me yes, all of the students that stay at hostel are visually impaired students. I reflected that why not collect information or ask a lot of information about the school. why so careless ask that question? I still remember that day is my last day with the students and teachers at that school before the school holidays. As usual I walked to class to replace the absent teacher. I was pass a class where every day I had to go to class class (4A class which is high functioning) to replace the absent teacher. I stopped at the class and i see the students (haffiz) through window which is famous because too naught. Haffiz : Hi teacher Aileen. This is class4A. Next class is 4B. (he shouted) teacher : I smile and feel toching in heart. (actually everyday he will see i always pass him class because sometimes i don 't know what level the class is and which area. So, he always will see me diligently looking for classes.
ithere is a year 6 student who is a visually impaired student. She looks quiet and alone (everyone call her Nuha). This is the first time I walk into her class. she sat quietly in class. Teacher : are you alone in the class? Nuha : Yes, I'm alone. Teacher : Ok. what is your name ........( That school only has one sixth year student who is visually impaired.) then, I started chatting with her......................... Avtually, she very talkactive girl and she always ask question about me like Are you married? Do you have boy friends? What do you like to do? What subject do you teach? During my last day at school, she asked my phone number. Then i give her. After that, she had contact me to send her photo programme. after a few weeks , i received a message from her. The feeling really best because i never teach her subject, when every time walk in the class for the teacher who absent, i just teach her to read the book what meanging and so on. But she remember you.

Both of these course are taught by dr Low which is ppk332 early childhood special education and ppk334 emotional and behavioral management of children with special needs. Course PPk332 aims to provide students with knowledge about educational programs especially the early stages of children covering early intervention programs; detection techniques and assessment of preschool child development and parent involvement and other professionals in the program.
