Nurturing Young Seeds (NYS) Leadership League

CRICKET

• Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram participated in the Inter- District Cricket Tournament in
Under -17 and under- 14 categories. In the Under -17 category, Lotus Valley got Bye in the first match.
In the second match, Lotus Valley played against Manav Rachna International School on 18th August
2017 at Drona School. Lotus Valley's Skipper Arnav Chawla won the toss and opted to bat first. Our
school scored 71 for 8 in 10 overs. Aggastya Khanna top scored with 34. Siddhant Saxena scored 22.
Manav Rachna chased the total in the 9th over.

 In the Under-14 category, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram played their first match and
won against Shiv Nadar School at SD School, Khandsa Road on 16th August 2017. The second
match was played and won against Ajanta Public School on 18th August 2017. In the third match,
our school got Bye and entered the Semi Final of District Tournament. Lotus Valley played against
Sun City School in the Semi Finals. Hriday Bhushan won the toss and batted first. Sun City won the
match in the 9th over.

• Match against Nirvana Cricket Academy – Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram played against
Nirvana Cricket Academy on Saturday, 29th July 2017. The team played and the match served as a
wonderful learning experience.

SKATING

• CBSE Zone – II Skating Competition was held from 15th September 2017 to 18th September 2017
at S.S. International School Kunjpura Road, Karnal. Tvesha Yadav of Grade IV Gulmohars secured a
Gold Medal in 500 meter race in Girls Inline Under-10 category and has been selected for National
Championship. Our school has participated in this competition with the squad of 8 players.

• School District Skating Competition was held from 24th to 28th August 2017 at Baliawas track.
Tvesha Yadav of Grade IV Gulmohars secured Silver Medal in 500 meter race in Girls Inline Under-
11 category and has been selected for the State
Championship. Our school has participated in this
competition with the squad of 10 players.

FOOTBALL

• The school participated in Boys Under-19 and
Boys Under-14 in School District Football
Championship held in the month of August 2017.
Boys Under-14 teams reached the semi-final of the
tournament.

BASKETBALL

• The school participated in Boys and Girls Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories in District
Basketball Championship held in the month of August 2017.

INTER- HOUSE COMPETITIONS

• The Inter-House Soccer competition was held at
Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram on
9th August 2017 where learners of Grades VI to
VIII participated enthusiastically. The first match
was held between TERESA House and GANDHI

House. Teresa House won the match by 3-2
Penalty shoot-out. The second match was held
between TAGORE House and NEHRU House.
Tagore House won the match by 5-0. The Final
match was held between TERESA and TAGORE House. TAGORE House won the final match by 2-0.

 Inter- House Basketball Competition was held on 28th July 2017. The winner in the Senior Group (IX-
XII) was Nehru House while the winner in Junior Group (VI-VIII) was Gandhi House. In the Sub-Junior
Group (IV-V) Tagore House won the First
position.

 Chess Inter-House Competition saw Tagore
House win in the Seniors Group, Gandhi House in
the Juniors Group and Nehru House in the Sub-
Junior Group in the Boys category. In Girls
competition, Teresa House won in the Seniors
Group.
