Children’s Day Bazaar
To celebrate children’s day,we
had children’s day party and
bazaar within the school
premises on a beautiful Friday
afternoon. Children, parents and
members of staff alike had so much
fun that it was difficult to call an end
to the party. Children had a wide
variety of fun activities to choose
from including video games, water
fights and bouncy castle. In addition
to food and drinks, many items such
as clothes and electronic gadgets
were also available for sale. Most of
the proceeds of the bazaar were
used in the planning and

Our science fair this year was one
for the ages. All of our students,
from BusyBees to West Mills,
engaged in high-level research to develop
intelligent hypotheses which they
demonstrated though scientific methods of
experimentation and came to conclusions
that ranged from the insightful to the mind-
blowing. Our year 11s built a radio that
transmitted live while one of our year 9s
demonstrated a simple way of extracting
DNA.These among many other impressive
creations show that our students are
prepared to solve some of the most
pressing problems of the 21st century
through the agency of science.

HOPE
Our 11-14 year olds entered a global competition organised by the British
Council called ‘Your World.’ The students were required to direct and
shoot a video that demonstrates their own interpretation of ‘Hope’. It was
a rigorous process that required a series of retakes and amendments but it was, more
importantly, another opportunity for our students to learn and express their
creativity.
The most profound and enlightening aspect of the whole experience was
the students’ visit to the Little Saints Orphanage. The students got to
interact with the orphans, discussed their shared experiences and
aspirations with them and made new friends. They left the orphanage
with a renewed sense of hope and an understanding of their role in
creating the future they want to see.
Footage from this visit was used in the students’ video entry
