This is the eighth conference organised by the Malaysia Association of Research and Education for Educators (MAsREE), since its establishment in 2016. The eighth edition of the conference, holds significant meaning as we gather in person after a challenging period of Covid-19 pandemic to discuss and share the transformative potential for educational research and practice insights. The theme of this conference, “Bridging the Gap between Reasearch and Practice in Education”, encapsulates the essence of this conference, which is that we bridge the gap between research and real-world practice. The conference will showcase groundbreaking research and discoveries in education, spanning the gap between what works in research and what works in practice. Presenters and participants will receive a comprehensive exchange between researchers and practitioners, prioritizing reflection and bridging the gap between education and practice. The conference provides ample opportunities for networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals, promoting new partnerships and initiatives in the field. It provides a platform for stakeholders in the education community to come together, learn from each other, and collectively advance the field towards improved educational outcomes and pratical breakthroughs in the field. By investigating the intermediary role of assessment conception and professional learning, the research aims to deepen our understanding of the complex dynamics shaping lecturers' perspectives on assessment practices within the broader context of learning-centered leadership. The primary objective is to offer valuable insights for optimizing professional learning initiatives to positively influence assessment practices among Malaysian lecturers. Design/Methodology/Approach: Utilizing a quantitative approach, this research employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and utilizes SPSS version 26.0 for the analysis of data. The study involves 400 lecturers drawn from different Malaysian universities, chosen through a multistage sampling method. These individuals responded to a thorough questionnaire assessing their views on learning-centered leadership, professional learning, assessment conception and assessment practices. The analysis involved the use of SEM AMOS version 24.0 to examine both the direct and indirect connections among the variables. Results/Findings: The results indicate that professional learning and assessment conception act as full mediators in the link between learningcentered leadership and assessment practices. Assessment practices explain 49% of the overall explained variability by learning-centered leadership, professional learning, and assessment conception. Conclusion and Implications: These findings have significant implications for both educational institutions and policymakers. Cultivating professional learning within academic environments can enhance lecturers' assessment skills, thereby positively impacting their teaching methods. Acknowledging the crucial role of learningcentered leadership and rightful assessment conception can guide the effective implementation of professional development programs, ultimately improving lecturers' approaches to assessment. KESAN MODUL MI-CBT TERHDAP DAYA TINDAK, TINGKAH LAKU LANGSANG MURID SEKOLAH MENENGAH EMILIA BINTI MAN Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia Abstrak- Pendekatan kaunseling intervensi dilihat dapat menangani isu berkaitan tingkahlaku langsang murid di sekolah. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini bertujuan mengukur kesan rawatan kaunseling intervensi dengan menggunakan pendekatan integrasi di antara Motivational Interviewing dan Cognitive Behaviour Therapy dalam meningkatkan daya tindak terhadap tingkah laku langsang. Kajian ini dijalankan terhadap pelajar tingkatan empat di dua buah sekolah menengah di daerah Klang, Selangor. Kajian tulen ekperimen ini melibatkan seramai 99 subjek dipilih memasuki dua jenis kelompok rawatan iaitu Kaunseling Bimbingan Kelompok Besar (KBKB) serta Kaunseling Bimbingan Kelompok Kecil (KBKK) dan satu kelompok kawalan (KK). Subjek kajian berumur 16 tahun dan merupakan murid sekolah menengah harian biasa. Subjek rawatan KBKB ialah 33 orang pelajar yang dibahagikan kepada tiga kelompok besar (R1a=11, R1b=11 dan R1c=11), KBKK seramai 33 orang murid dalam satu kelompok kecil (R2=33) dan satu kelompok kawalan (KK=33). Subjek kelompok rawatan diberi sepuluh sesi kelompok mingguan, dalam masa 10 minggu. Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, ANOVA, MANOVA, MANCOVA dan Post Hoc jenis Tukey pada aras signifikan 0.01 dan 0.05. Dapatan kajian mendapati rawatan KBKK dan KBKB berkesan dalam mengurangkan pemboleh ubah bersandar daya tindak dan pengurangan tingkahlaku langsang berbanding kelompok kawalan. Kelompok rawatan KBKK didapati lebih berkesan berbanding rawatan KBKB. Kajian ini juga mendapati faktor jantina dan pendapatan isi rumah tidak mempengaruhi kesan rawatan. Implikasi melalui kajian ini akan meningkatkan pemahaman berkaitan proses perubahan tingkah laku tersebut yang dapat membantu mengurangkan tingkah laku langsang. Justeru isu tingkahlaku langsang ini perlu diberi perhatian khusus dan pendekatan baharu agar mampu dikuasai sepenuhnya oleh kaunselor dan pengamal rawatan. Selain itu, ia juga akan dapat membantu mencapai matlamat Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2013- 2025 (PPPM) melalui perancangan strategik di sekolah yang menekankan pengembangan potensi murid ke tahap optimum. This study investigates the relationship between problems in mental health problem prevention education and the levels of mental health problem prevention education among secondary school students in Malaysia. A comprehensive survey was administered to a total of 1165 secondary school students in Malaysia, exploring their experiences with mental health problem prevention education by conducting a survey to examine the relationship between problems in mental health problem prevention education that have six (6) factors which are individuals, counselors, teacher, school administrative, peer and family with levels of mental problem prevention education among the secondary school students. Our findings reveal that there is a negative significant relationship between the variables, and it shows that went the problems increase, then the students' levels of mental health problem prevention education decrease. To improve the mental health education landscape for secondary school students, it is crucial to recognize and address the challenges that hinder effective prevention and promotion efforts. By doing so, we can empower students to navigate the complexities of mental health and develop a more supportive and informed school environment. Dapatan kajian bagi amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran aktiviti “Nature Walk", adalah pada tahap Min (4.31) Sisihan Piawai (0.67) dan Peratus adalah 86.26%. Manakala dapatan kajian bagi pola amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran aktiviti “Nature Walk" dalam kalangan pendidik Taska adalah, Min 4.24, S.P 0.67, 84.8% dapatan bagi pengajaran yang melibatkan Pendekatan, Min 4.30, S.P. 0.75, 86.1% dapatan bagi pengajaran yang melibatkan Kaedah, Min 4.36, S.P 0.65, 87.1% dapatan bagi pengajaran yang melibatkan Teknik, Min 4.17, S.P. 0.67, 83.4% dapatan bagi pengajaran yang melibatkan Strategi dan Min 4.50, S.P. 0.60, 90.0% pula adalah dapatan bagi pengajaran yang melibatkan Aktiviti. Kajian membuktikan bahawa amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran “Nature Walk" yang melibatkan elemen “aktiviti” menjadi sangat penting untuk perkembangan kanak-kanak kerana melibatkan penerokaan kanak-kanak pada dunia persekitaran mereka. Sehubungan itu, pendidik Taska perlu sentiasa siap siaga dengan lebih kreatif, interaktif, berkemahiran dan berpengetahuan. Page | 4 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF RESEARCH AND EDUCATION FOR EDUCATORS 2024 (ICREE 2024) KEPERCAYAAN NILAI-HARAPAN DAN KEBIMBANGAN TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA MELAYU DALAM KALANGAN MURID SEKOLAH RENDAH (TAHAP II) Teo Boon Sian, Tay Yong Choo dan Chin Ngien Siong Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Batu Lintang Abstrak- Motivasi membolehkan individu mempunyai kepercayaan dan keyakinan untuk melibatkan diri dengan aktif dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) sesuatu bahasa seterusnya mengurangkan kebimbangan individu terhadap pembelajaran bahasa tersebut. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kepercayaan harapan, nilai subjektif dan kebimbangan murid terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Melayu (BM). Peserta kajian terdiri daripada 200 orang murid sekolah rendah (103 lelaki, 97 perempuan) berumur antara 10 hingga 12 tahun (2.03 ± 0.84). Kajian berbentuk tinjauan ini menggunakan soal selidik Expectancy-Value Model Questionnaire (EVMQ; Rarujanai et al., 2020) versi Melayu yang diadaptasi dan Malay Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (MLCAS) versi Melayu hasil adaptasi daripada English Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (ELCAS; Sri Aiswarrya Achanan et al., 2021). Analisis deskriptif dan inferensi iaitu ujian-t sampel tidak bersandar dan ANOVA sehala telah digunakan. Dalam EVMQ, ujian-t sampel tidak bersandar menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara jantina dalam nilai utiliti, p = .001. Selain itu, ANOVA sehala menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara tiga kumpulan umur dalam nilai pencapaian, p < .001, nilai utiliti, p = .044, nilai intrinsik, p < .001, dan kos, p = .033. Dalam MLCAS pula, ujian-t sampel tidak bersandar menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara jantina. Namun demikian, ANOVA sehala menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara tiga kumpulan umur dalam kebimbangan dalam komunikasi, p = .037, kerisauan terhadap penilaian negatif, p = .037, dan kebimbangan ujian penilaian, p = .038. Konklusinya, para guru BM digalakkan untuk mewujudkan suasana pembelajaran yang positif untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan nilaiharapan dan mengurangkan kebimbangan terhadap pembelajaran BM bagi meningkatkan prestasi pencapaian dalam kalangan murid. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk membantu murid memahami konsep dan kepentingan Beriman Kepada Kitab dengan menggunakan aplikasi “Travel Faith”. Peserta kajian terdiri daripada tiga orang murid tahun 3 yang mempunyai masalah dalam memahami konsep dan kepentingan Beriman Kepada Kitab. Data dikumpul melalui ujian Sebelum dan Selepas, pemerhatian, temu bual dan soal selidik. Dapatan kajian membuktikan bahawa aplikasi yang digunakan ini sangat berkesan bagi membantu murid memahami konsep dan kepentingan Beriman Kepada Kitab dengan jelas. Secara umumnya, dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan purata peratusan peningkatan oleh semua peserta kajian yang mencatatkan peratusan meningkat. Kajian ini juga telah memberikan kesan terhadap peserta kajian dan juga telah dapat menambahbaik amalan pedagogi pengajaran dan pembelajaran bagi meningkatkan kualiti pengajaran dan pemudahcaraan (PdPc) pengkaji.

This action research specifically aims to enhance the listening comprehension abilities of Year 5 pupils by employing graphic organisers for identifying main ideas and supporting details. Initial findings reveal challenges among pupils in recognizing main ideas and supporting details during listening activities. Consequently, graphic organisers serve as effective pedagogical tools in facilitating the identification process. The study involved six Year 5 pupils from a primary school in Kuching, Sarawak. This research was conducted through a structured intervention by employing data collection method through document analysis, observation, field notes and semi-structured interview. To obtain data validity, qualitative and quantitative data as well as data triangulation has been used. Results indicate an improvement in pupils' post-test scores compared to pretest scores, along with enhanced knowledge in listening comprehension and increased engagement in learning. This affirms the efficacy of graphic organisers as an instructional strategy for advancing listening comprehension skills to the participants, providing valuable implications for English language educators and positively impacting teaching and learning quality. Dapatan kajian membuktikan pengaplikasian bahan “Taj-Wheel” dapat membantu murid Tahun 5 mengenal, membezakan serta menarik minat mereka untuk mempelajari setiap jenis hukum Mad dua harakat dengan betul. Secara umumnya, dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan pencapaian murid yang ketara dalam satu kitaran sempurna. Veloo Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Batu Lintang Abstrak-Tahap penguasaan murid-murid Cina dalam kemahiran Bahasa Melayu adalah kurang memuaskan. Tugas mengajar Bahasa Melayu di SJKC agak mencabar. Justeru, sebuah kajian tinjauan berasaskan percampuran pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dijalankan dan bertujuan untuk menambah baik pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) Bahasa Melayu di SJKC. Dua objektif dalam kajian ini, iaitu (i) meninjau isu dan cabaran yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam PdP Bahasa Melayu di SJKC dan (ii) mencadangkan langkah penambahbaikan bagi mengatasi isu dan cabaran dalam PdP Bahasa Melayu di SJKC. Teori Kognitif Jean Piaget diaplikasikan. Instrumen pengumpulan data ialah soal selidik tertutup dan temu bual separa berstruktur. Sampel kajian seramai 80 orang guru Bahasa Melayu dari sepuluh buah SJKC di daerah Kuching. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan lima isu dan cabaran yang biasa dihadapi dalam proses PdP Bahasa Melayu di SJKC, iaitu tahap minat dan motivasi murid yang rendah, pengaruh bahasa ibunda yang kuat, tahap penguasaan murid Cina dalam kemahiran Bahasa Melayu yang kurang memuaskan dan masa pengajaran Bahasa Melayu yang kurang mencukupi telah mendatangkan impak negatif terhadap PdP Bahasa Melayu di SJKC berdasarkan peratusan dan nilai min melaui perisian IBM SPSS Statistics 23. Dapatan kajian juga telah mencadangkan empat langkah penambahbaikan yang boleh diambil oleh guru Bahasa Melayu, iaitu pengaplikasian pelbagai jenis kaedah pengajaran, penggunaan bahan bantu mengajar yang lebih sesuai, pemberian peneguhan positif dan pembetukan persekitaran belajar yang lebih kondusif bagi mengatasi isu dan cabaran dalam PdP Bahasa Melayu di SJKC. Yet, as examinations such as Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) have been eliminated in Malaysian primary schools and are replaced with Classroom-based Assessment (CBA), is there any possible purpose for the students to strive in their studies? Therefore, the study investigates the impact of assessments on pupils' motivation to study English, mainly focusing on the pupils' perceptions of motivation in studying English and exploring how they view the elimination of standardised examinations

The case study has employed a qualitative approach in studying a small sample of primary school pupils in Kuching, Sarawak involved in CBA in the English Language subject. Qualitative data was collected through interviews with the English teachers, and group discussion which involved four Year 6 pupils. The feedback from interviews and focus group discussions was documented using voice records, and the data collected were analysed qualitatively. Thus, it has been revealed that different types of motivations, mainly extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation, instrumental and integrative motivation emerge as the revolving topic of the study. Moreover, pupils’ perceptions were also multifaceted as factors such as washback and pupils’ learning preferences influenced the pupils’ discernment. Furthermore, this study has explored the effective assessment strategies that can be used in English teaching and learning which involves the integration of tailored evaluation strategies and methods as well as integrating varied modes of learning and fostering confidence in learners in an English language learning environment. Justeru, kajian ini berbentuk kajian tinjauan untuk mengenal pasti tahap perancangan, pelaksanaan, penerimaan dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru Bahasa Melayu Tahap Dua dalam UASA. Kajian ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik bagi mendapatkan data utama dengan melibatkan sampel seramai 135 orang daripada 150 orang guru Bahasa Melayu Tahap Dua di 28 buah sekolah rendah sekitar daerah Kuching, Sarawak. Selain itu, kajian ini juga menggunakan instrumen temu bual separa berstruktur bagi mendapatkan data sokongan dengan melibatkan sampel seramai tiga orang guru Bahasa Melayu Tahap Dua di tiga sekolah rendah sekitar daerah Kuching, Sarawak. Data bagi kedua-dua instrumen ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif (min dan sisihan piawai) melalui perisian Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 20 dan analisis tematik. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan dapatan skor min yang tinggi dari segi tahap perancangan dan pelaksanaan (Min = 4.37, SP = 0.59) dan tahap penerimaan (Min = 3.83, SP = 0.83). Page | 8 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF RESEARCH AND EDUCATION FOR EDUCATORS 2024 (ICREE 2024) PENCAPAIAN KATA GANDA BERENTAK MURID TAHUN LIMA MELALUI PENGAPLIKASIAN GAMIFIKASI ‘ANGRY BIRD’ Princessca Anak Pek Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Batu Lintang Abstrak- Pembelajaran tatabahasa sering menjadi isu dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah khususnya topik kata ganda berentak. Justeru itu, kaedah gamifikasi dilihat sebagai satu pendekatan yang sesuai digunakan oleh guru sejajar dengan peredaran zaman. Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap keberkesanan gamifikasi ‘Angry Bird’ terhadap pencapaian kata ganda berentak murid tahun lima. Kajian ini berbentuk kuasieksperimen dan melibatkan 44 orang murid dari dua kelas sedia ada di sebuah sekolah kebangsaan di kawasan sekitar daerah Kuching sebagai kumpulan kawalan (KK) dan kumpulan rawatan (KR). Seramai 22 orang murid dalam kumpulan kawalan yang diajar menggunakan kaedah konvensional sementara 22 orang murid lagi menjalankan pembelajaran kata ganda berentak menggunakan gamifikasi ‘Angry Bird’. Bagi pengumpulan data, pengkaji telah menggunakan kaedah campuran yang merangkumi kaedah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil daripada analisis data menunjukkan bahawa perbezaan min skor bagi ujian pra dan pasca bagi KR adalah lebih besar, iaitu sebanyak 4.55 berbanding dengan KK yang hanya 1.24. Ini menunjukkan bahawa KR yang mengaplikasikan gamifikasi ‘Angry Bird’ mempunyai peningkatan skor ujian pra-pasca yang lebih ketara berbanding dengan KK. Hasil analisis pemerhatian terhadap KR dan temu bual yang dijalankan bersama dengan murid KR dan guru juga membuktikan bahawa tahap minat murid KR lebih meningkat apabila gamifikasi ‘Angry Bird’ digunakan dalam pembelajaran kata ganda berentak. This language skill is significant since it is used for communication and expressing thoughts. However, many people find writing difficult because it requires a high degree of clarity and conciseness to ensure that the reader understands what is being conveyed in the text. Thus, this study aims to discover the challenges faced by a Year 4 pupil in a Malaysian primary school when writing in English and the factors contributing to the sample’s performance in writing skill. The participant of this study was purposely selected based on a set of inclusion criteria that were critical in answering the research objectives. Interviews, observations, and document collection were employed to collect necessary data to fit the purpose of the study. The data gathered were then analysed using two methods, error analysis and thematic analysis, as a means of data triangulation. The findings indicate that the challenges faced by the sample when writing can be categorised in terms of content, vocabulary, mechanic of writing, and syntactical. These challenges can be attributed to several emerging themes, including attitude towards learning English, impact of COVID-19, affective filter, negative classroom behaviours, lack of English language exposure, mother tongue influence and learning preferences. Sabar Dan Abang Mohammad Ikram Bin Abang Hashim Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Batu Lintang Abstrak- Isu yang timbul semasa pemerhatian awal pengkaji ialah murid tahun tiga di sebuah sekolah di kawasan Kuching, Sarawak masih tidak menguasai hukum Ikhfa’ Hakiki dalam Hukum Nun Sakinah dan Tanwin. Murid masih keliru terhadap pengertian, hukum bacaan, bilangan huruf dan contoh bacaan Ikhfa’ Hakiki dengan betul. Oleh hal yang demikian, kajian ini bertujuan untuk membantu murid tahun tiga menguasai hukum Ikhfa’ Hakiki dengan mudah menerusi penggunaan bahan “Easy Ikhfi Trivia”. Seramai empat orang murid lelaki daripada kelas Tahun 3 Inovasi telah dipilih sebagai peserta kajian berdasarkan data ujian sumatif bulan Julai dan ujian diagnostik yang dijalankan. Pendekatan kualitatif seperti triangulasi kaedah iaitu permerhatian, analisis dokumen dan temu bual digunakan dalam kajian ini. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis instrumen kajian adalah teknik analisis deskriptif, kandungan dan pola. Dapatan kajian memaparkan impak pengaplikasian bahan inovasi “Easy Ikhfi Trivia” dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan penguasaan murid untuk mempelajari pengertian, hukum bacaan, bilangan huruf dan contoh bacaan Ikhfa’ Hakiki dengan betul. Peningkatan peratusan skor keempat-empat peserta kajian dalam menguasai hukum Ikhfa’ Hakiki meningkat sehingga 88% dan ke atas bagi ujian bertulis manakala tahap keupayaan membaca murid semasa ujian lisan meningkat sehingga 80% dan ke atas. Selain itu, penggunaan “Easy Ikhfi Trivia” dapat menarik minat murid berpandukan permainan trivia, nyanyian dan kuiz pengukuhan hukum Ikhfa’ Hakiki. VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF CYBER BULLYING PREVENTION EDUCATION QUESTIONNAIRE AMONG TEENAGERS IN MALAYSIA Fauziah Mohd Sa’ad, Anis Hayati Binti Abd Aziz Lutfi, Mohammad Aziz Shah Mohd Arip and Hapsah Yusof Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Abstract- Malaysia is the second highest country in Asia in the problem of cyberbullying for teenagers as reported by the Children's Fund of the United Nations (UNICEF). This polemic is indirectly caused by the prevalence and habit of using technology tools, internet and social media in the daily life of teenagers. The purpose of this study is to identify the validity and reliability related to the questionnair of cyberbullying prevention education among adolscence students (age range13-18) in Malaysia. The questionnsir focus on the factors inculding individual/student, the counselor/Guidance and Counseling unit, the teacher, the peer, the school management and the family. Study was conducted in two phases to assess the reliabibility and validity of the questionnair. The first phase, the questionnair was design with theortical review and results from the phenamanogical study, the validation phase, was carried out by giving questionnaires to three experts, namely guidance and counseling experts and psychologists with overall expert valiadation score above 80%. After getting expert comments and validation, all the comments given were improved and revised. Second phase of the study was to assess the reliability of the questionnaire with surevy design, which was conducted aming (N=1000) high school students with a convienet sampling procedure, from 4 zone of malayisa, inculding Perak, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Selangor, Melaka, Johor and Pahanag in this study. The findings show that all items have high reliability and the Cronbach's Alpha value of the questionnaire obtained is α = 0.854. The Findings of the research study indicated that the questionnir is valid and reliable tool to administer among school stuednt for the awareness and prevntion of Cyberbullying. This Tool is effective aid for educators and counslors for healthy managment and prevetion for Cyberbullying. The Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) was used to collect and analyze all the data that had been collected. The results of the study show that all items in the balance element of family work satisfaction meet the conditions, that is, the threshold value (dconstruct) is less than 0.2 and the percentage of expert group agreement exceeds 75%. Through this indicator, it shows the elements of family work satisfaction balance based on expert agreement required by high school teachers in Malaysia in achieving their work life balance. Despite efforts, STEM enrollment remains below targets, as evidenced by ISM indicating low interest and skills among students, and SPM results revealing insufficient KBAT skills. Challenges include low student engagement in STEM PdP and inadequate support from teachers. An indepth study explored the relationship between principals' competency, teachers' readiness, and their commitment to STEM education. Using Lawshe's CVR analysis, the validity of an instrument assessing these factors was tested. The instrument, with 71 items categorized into three constructs, was developed based on Boyatzis, Mowday, and Thorndike's theories. Employing a quantitative approach, a survey questionnaire was used, and six experts validated its content through purposive sampling. Lawshe's Model determined CVR and CVI to ascertain reliability, with a threshold of 0.78 for three experts indicating good content validity. Items below this were revised or removed. The study followed Davis's recommendation of a CVI above 0.80. Results suggest the instrument effectively assesses principals' competency, teachers' readiness, and commitment in STEM education, highlighting its utility in addressing educational challenges. This comprehensive analysis underscores the importance of robust strategies in enhancing STEM education and fostering student engagement and achievement in these critical fields. Semasa kemurungan, seseorang itu mengalami tekanan perasaan (berasa sedih, mudah marah, kosong) atau hilang keseronokan atau minat dalam melakukan sebarang aktiviti hampir setiap hari sekurang-kurangnya selama dua minggu. Pelbagai inisiatif telah dijalankan dalam menangani masalah kemurungan namun ianya masih meningkat saban tahun. Maka, kajian ini bertujuan menangani isu kemurungan melalui pembinaan modul baru iaitu Modul MKKS-CBTH atau lebih dikenali sebagai Modul Menangani Kemurungan, kebimbangan dan Stres Berdasarkan Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Healing. Metodologi kajian menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif secara eksperimen kuasi dengan melakukan soal selidik terhadap 132 orang responden berumur 16 tahun yang merupakan pelajar tingkatan empat di dua buah sekolah di daerah Kinta Selatan Perak (Malaysia). Kesemua responden dipilih menggunakan persampelan rawak mudah dan dibahagikan kepada tiga kumpulan iaitu kelompok rawatan kecil (n=33) menerima rawatan menggunakan Modul MKKS-CBTH dalam kelompok kecil, kelompok rawatan besar (n=33) menerima rawatan menggunakan Modul MKKS-CBTH dalam kelompok besar, dan kumpulan kawalan (n=66) tidak menerima apa-apa rawatan. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 21.0 di mana analisis MANCOVA dijalankan dengan mengenal pasti perbezaan signifikan terhadap skor min pra ujian dengan skor min post ujian. Inventori yang digunakan dalam mengukur tahap kemurungan ini adalah Inventori DASS-21 (Bahasa Melayu). Hasil dapatan data menunjukkan skor kemurungan bagi kelompok rawatan kecil dan kelompok rawatan besar menurun berbanding skor kemurungan kelompok kawalan di kedua-dua buah sekolah. Ini menunjukkan Modul MKKS-CBTH dapat mengurangkan tahap kemurungan pelajar sama ada dijalankan dalam kelompok kecil mahupun kelompok besar. Implikasi kajian mendapati Modul MKKS-CBTH boleh dijadikan intervensi bagi menangani isu kemurungan dalam kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah secara signifikan. Pendamik COVID-19 yang melanda dunia telah banyak memberi kesan kepada ekonomi dan keadaan kewangan di seluruh negara. Isu-isu yang melibatkan pengurusan kewangan masa kini semakin sukar dikawal dan dipulihkan. Kadar peningkatan golongan muda yang diisytiharkan muflis adalah sangat membimbangkan. Kekurangan pengetahuan dan disiplin dalam menguruskan kewangan merupakan punca utama yang dalam isu ini. Oleh yang demikian, pengkaji menyarankan kertas konsep perlu dilaksanakan bagi menangani isu masalah pengurusan kewangan. Kertas konsep ini memperincikan tiga konstruk iaitu mengenal wang, perbelanjaan wang dan simpanan wang melalui permainan digital kepada kanak-kanak tabika yang berumur enam tahun. Permainan digital yang biasanya dianggap sebagai bentuk hiburan, telah diusulkan sebagai alat yang berkesan untuk melibatkan kanak-kanak dalam aktiviti pembelajaran. Kanak-kanak berperanan secara aktif dalam persekitaran pembelajaran yang menyeronokan. Sehubungan dengan itu, kertas konsep ini menggunakan beberapa teori dan model sebagai sokongan. Di antara teori dan model yang dirujuk adalah Teori Konstruktivisme Vygotsky, Teori Hirarki Keperluan Maslow, dan Model Integrasi Perancangan Kewangan (MIPK). DECODING THE TRUTH OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS’ UNDERSTANDING OF CEFR-ALIGNED PRESCHOOL ENGLISH LANGUAGE CURRICULUM Nurliyana Ismail, Tajularipin Sulaiman and Norhakimah Khaiessa Ahmad Universiti Putra Malaysia Abstract- Moving forward in reforming English language education in Malaysia to international standards, preschool English language curriculum has been aligned with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Effective implementation of CEFR-aligned preschool English language curriculum ensures meaningful language learning for preschool pupils. It is found that most of the CEFR related studies focusing on the implementation of CEFR are conducted at primary and secondary education level. There is surprisingly limited research on the implementation of CEFR for preschool English Language Teaching (ELT) context. In addition, low level of English proficiency and lack of confidence in using the language have been identified as the challenges faced by the preschool teachers. The issue of having to adhere to the time allocated in using English as instructional language has also raised the concern of whether preschool teachers are able to implement the curriculum successfully. Six preschool teachers who fulfilled the selection criteria of purposive sampling were involved in in-depth interview sessions. Document analysis of lesson plans and CEFRaligned learning materials corroborated the in-depth interview findings. The findings revealed three significant themes mainly Alignment of Preschool English Language Curriculum with CEFR, Implementation Plan of CEFR-aligned Preschool English Language Curriculum and Dissemination of Information through Continuous Professional Development by Ministry of Education. In conclusion, the current implementation of CEFR-aligned preschool English language curriculum has been significantly progressing towards developing preschool pupils’ communicative competence. It is recommended that further studies on the implementation of CEFR in the preschool ELT context are conducted for larger sampling of preschool teachers nationwide in order to gain deeper understanding of preschool English language curriculum development. Seramai 466 orang guru kaunseling dari sekolah menengah di bawah pogram Transformasi Sekolah (TS25) di Malaysia adalah reponden kajian ini. Guru-guru kaunseling dipilih secara rawak dari semua negeri di Malaysia. Dapatan kajian dianalisis menggunakan Model Persamaan Struktural (SEM). Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat kesan langsung yang signifikan secara positif antara dimensi karisma kepimpinan pengetua dengan komitmen organisasi guru kaunseling. Manakala, dimensi bertimbang rasa secara individu, merangsang intelek dan motivasi berinspirasi kepimpinan pengetua tidak mempunyai kesan langsung yang signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi guru kaunseling. Analisis model persamaan struktur kajian ini didapati amalan kepepimpinan transformasi pengetua seperti karisma, bertimbang rasa, merangsang dan motivasi memberi sumbangan sebanyak 16% terhadap komitmen organisasi guru kaunseling. Secara keseluruhan, dapatan kajian ini diharap dapat menyumbang ilmu tentang gaya kepimpinan transformasi pemimpin sekolah terhadap guru kaunseling di peringkat sekolah menengah. Sustainability of these habits enhances academic performance, promotes competencies and lifelong learning. Engaging in consistent self-reflection, receiving, and giving feedback improve self-awareness for continuous development. Aim: This study explores the factors and sustainable strategies of self-reflection learning skills and feedback in higher education. Methods: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) standards were used to report this scoping review. For this review, eight databases such as PubMed, ZENDY, Research Gate, Science Direct, Google Scholar, BMC Medical Education, Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), and Semantic Scholar were used for scoping data. About 16 studies were found that is suitable for selection. Results: The literature search identified four hundred and forty-five publications eligible for this review. The analysis identified 16 research papers that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: The ability to self-reflect and receive feedback in an engaged and constructive manner is vital for sustainability of learning skills. Shahrifah Binti Hj Mohd Shahlan Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong PTES Abstract- The purpose of this action research is to study students’ learning behaviour and engagement when digital tools are used and integrated in different subjects alongside traditional face-to-face teaching. A total of six classes were observed: A Year 6 English class with 18 students, a Year 11 Travel and Tourism class with 12 students, and four sixth form classes with 25 students in Computer Science, 12 students in Bahasa Melayu, 14 students in Travel and Tourism, and 16 students in Biology. Three types of data were examined: (i) 6 observation logs (ii) survey responses from 65 high school students, and (iii) 6 informal interviews with teachers. The results of the classroom observations showed that all students were fully engaged, actively participated, enthusiastic, social-emotionally engaged, and eager learners when asked to complete a learning activity using technology. 100% of the survey participants agreed that digital resources such as videos or online information enhanced their understanding. All teachers indicated that their students were able to independently and enthusiastically use the technology provided. Therefore, exploring the influencing factors of problematic social network use behavior of college students can provide effective intervention or guidance for the positive development of college students' physiology and psychology. Methods: By using the Online Social Exclusion Questionnaire, the Fear of Missing Out scale, the Problematic Social Network Use Questionnaire for data collection. Results: (1) Under the condition of controlling for gender, online social exclusion significantly positively predicted college students' problematic social network use;(2) the Fear of missing out played a partial mediating role between online social exclusion and college students' problematic social network use (95%CI did not include 0). Conclusion: The Fear of Missing out plays a mediating role in college students' online social exclusion and problematic social network use, and we can adjust their online use by alleviating their emotional state. Fokus utama adalah melalui temubual mendalam yang dilakukan dengan pelajar-pelajar yang masih menuntut, untuk memahami perspektif mereka tentang cabaran yang akan dihadapi dalam transisi ke alam pekerjaan dan kehidupan sosial. Hasil temubual menunjukkan bahawa pelajar mempunyai kesedaran tentang keperluan untuk bersedia menghadapi cabaran pasca-pendidikan, namun terdapat kekurangan dalam pengetahuan dan kemahiran praktikal yang diperlukan untuk berjaya dalam kehidupan selepas matrikulasi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka aspek penjagaan diri yang dialami oleh kaunselor pelatih peringkat Sarjana Muda semasa menjalankan internship kaunseling di sekolah. Kajian ini telah dijalankan ke atas enam orang kaunselor pelatih yang berinternship di sekitar negeri Pahang, Negeri Sembilan dan juga negeri Melaka dalam semenanjung Malaysia. Kajian dijalankan menerusi temubual secara semi struktur. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model 3C Licthman (2006) berdasarkan analisis temubual dan mengeluarkan koding, kategori dan dapatan tema. Dapatan kajian daripada analisis tema ke atas peserta yang di temubual dari kalangan kaunselor pelatih. Pengkaji dapat menunjukkan bahawa kaunselor pelatih mengalami isu penjagaan diri dalam segi amalan penjagaan diri dari aspek emosi, fizikal, rohani, dan ekonomi dalam pengurusan kewangan semasa menjalankan internship di sekolah. Dapatan kajian juga mendapati kaunselor pelatih yang menjalani internship di sekolah perlu melengkap diri dalam aspek pengurusan identiti profesional, komunikasi yang berkesan dan kecekapan pelbagai budaya adalah perlu dalam menguruskan isu penjagaan diri mereka semasa berada di sekolah. Berdasarkan dapatan kajian, beberapa cadangan dan implikasi dibincangkan. Hasil dapatan kajian, peserta dari kalangan pelatih kaunselor yang menjalani internship di sekolah ini menyatakan bahawa mereka memerlukan panduan yang khusus seperti modul latihan untuk mereka bersedia dari segi fizikal, emosi, rohani dan ilmu tentang menguruskan kewangan dengan betul sebelum melangkah kaki ke internship di sekolah. Kajian ini telah melibatkan sembilan orang guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Melayu dan seorang Pegawai Pegawai Pembimbing Pakar Peningkatan Sekolah atau lebih dikenali sebagai School Improvement Specialist Coaches (SISC+) Bahasa. Kesemua Peserta Kajian (PK) dipilih secara persampelan bertujuan. Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Melayu yang menjadi PK dipilih adalah berdasarkan pengalaman mengajar menengah atas melebihi lima tahun. Bagi pegawai SISC+ Bahasa pula dipilih adalah berdasarkan bidang tugas yang membimbing guru bagi menjalankan PdP dengan lebih berkesan. Kesemua PK adalah daripada tujuh buah sekolah dalam Daerah Hulu Langat, Selangor dan Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Hulu Langat. Kajian ini dijalankan secara Perbincangan Kumpulan Berfokus atau Focus Group Discussion (PKB) Instrumen temu bual separa berstruktur telah digunakan dan data perbincangan telah dianalisis secara bertema menggunakan perisian NVivo versi 14. Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat empat amalan pengajaran yang sering digunakan oleh guru Mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu semasa mengajarkan penulisan karangan iaitu pengubahsuaian pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) berdasarkan dokumen standard, penggunaan bahan sumber PdP, penggunaan peralatan dalam PdP dan penggunaan kaedah bimbingan rakan sebaya. How to build a high-level "double qualified teachers" teacher team under the perspective of school-enterprise cooperation, highlighting the characteristics and connotation features of higher vocational education, is the core content of school-enterprise cooperation. At present, the construction of "double qualified teachers" teachers in higher vocational colleges and universities is characterized by the lack of systematic policies, deviation of entry conditions, distortion of identification and evaluation, imbalance of teacher structure, multicultural conflict, and lack of unity of the value and goal of the main body of the construction, etc. The top-level design should be strengthened, and the construction of "double qualified teachers" teachers should be improved. DISCOVERING DIFFICULTIES AND STRATEGIES IN MALAY ESSAY WRITING AS A SECOND LANGUAGE AMONG NON-NATIVE STUDENTS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL Edmund Austrus, Zamri Mahamod, Norhafizah Adnan Ministry of Education, Malaysia Abstract- Writing is widely acknowledged as one of the most challenging skills in elementary school Malay language curriculum for non-native student to master. This research aimed to discover the difficulties of faced by non-native students in primary school and their strategies to cope with their difficulties. A qualitative study was conducted among five primary school teachers who taught Malay Language subject in Sarawak specifically chosen to elicit further information about the difficulties they encountered among non-native students when writing essay in Malay, as well as their strategies for overcoming these hurdles. The study involved meticulous conduction through semi-structured interviews, and the data were analysed using thematic analysis with NVivo 12. The results revealed pervasive issues, including (i) lack of vocabulary, (ii) language aspect difficulties and, (iii) difficulty in developing ideas. The strategies to deal with the difficulties that were implemented among non-native students including (i) a variety of instructional methods, (ii) utilize suitable teaching and learning resources and, (iii) incorporate engaging teaching and learning activities. This research was expected to contribute to minimizing the difficulties experienced by students in writing Malay essay through the strategy revealed in this study. Future research could involve designing and implementing intervention studies to assess the effectiveness of specific strategies in enhancing non-native students' writing abilities. By practicing ethical values such as honesty, integrity, and responsibility, principals can serve as role models who inspire students and school staff to act ethically. Ethical principals ensure fairness in school management, attend to the needs of all stakeholders including students, teachers, and parents, and engage in open and effective communication. While several measurement instruments have been developed to assess ethical leadership, those with good validity are still limited, especially in evaluating the ethical leadership practices of principals. This study aims to test the content validity of the Principal’s Ethical Leadership instrument using Lawshe's (1975) Content Validity Ratio (CVR) analysis. A survey design using written and online questionnaires form has been conducted on five experts through purposive sampling techniques. The selected experts consisted of individuals with backgrounds in educational management and administration from the Ministry of Education, state education department, and also school leaders. The instrument's validity involves 7 constructs and 38 main items based on the Ethical Leadership at Workplace (ELW) model developed by Kalshoven et al. (2011) and adapted by Sharmini (2019). Overall findings were recorded (N=5, CVI=0.958, CVR= 4 item refined). This instrument has the potential to be highlighted as a measurement tool for ethical leadership practices among school leaders, especially principals in Malaysia. It is suggested that pilot studies be conducted and data analyzed using more in-depth statistical analysis such as SEM PLS to refine higher quality items and ensure the reliability and accuracy of the instrument in measuring the ethical leadership practices of principals. Kajian ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman awal tentang 1) tahap pengetahuan dan kepercayaan tentang GBKSM dalam menangani isu kesihatan mental di sekolah rendah dan 2) komponen yang diperlukan bagi membina modul bimbingan kesihatan mental untuk memudahkan pendidikan kesedaran penjagaan kesihatan mental di sekolah rendah yang lebih berkesan. Bagi mendapat maklumat berkenaan, satu soal selidik berstruktur telah dihantar kepada GBKSM, Penolong Kanan, Kaunselor Pendidikan, dan Guru Besar di Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri di sekitar Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, dan Putrajaya. Tinjauan itu melibatkan pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan keyakinan mereka tentang menguruskan masalah kesihatan mental dan amalan yang telah digunakan dalam menyampaikan pendidikan kesihatan mental. Hasil kajian tinjauan ini menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan perbezaan yang ketara dalam pengetahuan dan keyakinan guru yang melaksanakan bimbingan kesihatan mental di sekolah rendah. 93.3% responden menyatakan bahawa mereka memerlukan pendedahan memberikan perkhidmatan pendidikan kesihatan mental yang lebih baik. Data menunjukkan bahawa 50% respon menghendaki bahan pembelajaran interaktif, 27.3% memilih untuk memilik bahan pembelajaran interaktif secara digital. Latihan kesihatan mental kanak-kanak diperlukan untuk modul bimbingan kesihatan mental yang merangkumi topik seperti pengurusan emosi, mengurangkan tekanan, memahami kesihatan mental dan membina daya tahan juga menjadi permintaan. Justeru itu, kajian ini menunjukkan modul bimbingan kesihatan mental khusus kepada murid sekolah rendah perlu dibangunkan dengan baik dan menepati populasi sasaran. Selain itu, mewujudkan sistem sokongan kesihatan mental yang berkesan di sekolah rendah, meningkatkan kemahiran dan pengetahuan guru bimbingan dan kaunseling sekolah adalah penting dan memerlukan latihan yang disasarkan dan sumber yang mencukupi. CHINESE EFL TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS OF USING DIGITAL STORYTELLING IN COLLEGE ENGLISH INTENSIVE READING COURSES Tao Nian and Azlina Binti Abdul Aziz Abstract- English education in China emphasizes Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) as a top-down approach to improving students’ reading proficiency. As one method to improve students’ understanding levels, Task-Based Instruction (TBI) emphasizes real-world tasks and mandates them to apply the language in these settings. Unlike TBI in China, which focuses on utilizing English learners’ grammatical knowledge, Digital Storytelling (DST) uses technology to facilitate effective language learning and make the process more engaging, motivating, and enjoyable. Additionally, DST provides teachers with the opportunity to learn digital literacy skills, and it also puts students in a position to apply what they have learned. Integration of DST into TBLT can overcome class size constraints and individual learning paces. Meanwhile, motivation and creativity can be enhanced. In this study, Chinese EFL teachers’ reflective notes on using DST are explored to provide teachers with a scaffold that will help them integrate digital media into their classrooms. Eight Chinese EFL teachers at one China southern independent college were interviewed online regarding their reflections on DST’s use in TBLT under the categories of students’ vocabulary use, pronunciation, and selfstudy. Facing the transition from extended writing in Form 5 to writing academically inclined essays among every Post Secondary English Language (PSEL) learner is a challenge. This calls for understanding the reason behind their inability to write academic essays. It is to be noted that the MUET paper in Form 6 focuses on all 4 skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. The most problematic skills are Speaking and Writing as they go hand in hand. Both papers require students to respond well to the tasks and present a clear stand/opinion. They are required to develop ideas with reasons that show maturity. The noting point is, that students can master speaking skills after a series of drills. However, this is not the case in writing. Seventeen (17) post-secondary learners are involved in this study by implementing the quasi-experimental approach. The findings seek to clarify insights; therefore, educators must investigate ways to overcome the problem. However, comprehensive analyses on the characteristics of microlearning in work-based learning and the development trend of construction of microlearning platforms, provision of microlearning resources, and transformation of microlearning methods have rarely been carried out so far. Thus, this paper aims to explore this subject by reviewing the recent trends of microlearning in terms of related publications and Internet searches. In terms of microlearning methods reformation, with the normalization of digital learning, students' acceptance of online learning has significantly increased, microlearning methods such as course guidance, pre-class preview/post-class reflection, in class attendance and roll call, presentation of course content and resources, support for students to explore independently, interactive communication, uploading homework, online testing, analysis and evaluation have gradually been accepted. This paper also forecasts the future research direction and trend, expecting to effectively promote the further development of microlearning in China. A CONCEPTUAL PAPER: TEACHING STRATEGIES OF CHINESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AMONG INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN CHINA Chuyang Zhang and Wong Siew Ping City University Malaysia Abstract- As mainland China's global influence expands, there has been a notable increase in the influx of international students to the country. Despite the early inception of Chinese language instruction for foreigners, there has been a dearth of advocacy and initiatives for pedagogical reform since the 1980s. Presently, the prevailing model in most Chinese language classrooms for foreign learners remains teacher-centered, a paradigm that exhibits numerous shortcomings, notably a lack of student engagement stemming from uninspiring instructional environments. This deficiency is particularly pronounced within Chinese language classrooms catering to foreign learners. The constructivist perspective on pedagogy asserts that effective teaching can be facilitated by crafting meaningful tasks or challenges that empower learners as active participants in the learning process. Task-based language teaching involves the design and orchestration of a series of tasks by the instructor, enabling students to attain language learning objectives. Diverging from the conventional teachercentered approach, task-based language teaching prioritizes the cultivation of students' independent cognitive agency. Past research indicates that classrooms utilizing task-based language teaching methodologies demonstrate promise in bolstering the motivation of international students studying in China and enhancing overall learning outcomes. It is recommended to employ a qualitative research methodology involving the selection of international students for interview sessions. The collected data will undergo thematic analysis to extract meaningful patterns and insights. However, novice teachers undergo dramatic professional changes, but the current research lacks tracking studies on the changes in teaching for creativity of novice TESOL teachers. What antecedents drive changes in teaching for creativity for university TESOL novice teachers in their first academic year of work? ESTABLISHING ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMICSSUSTAINABILITY BY CIRCULATING PRODUCT FROM WASTE MATERIAL ROSNANI BINTI SAINI Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Abstract- Each learner has the right to get a quality education according to their educational needs, including intellectual disability (ID) learners. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the teachers’ knowledge of Technology, Pedagogy, and Content (TPACK) by supporting Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles among special education teachers to enhance the learning of ID learners at the Special Education Integration Program (SEIP) in Kuching, Sarawak. Based on the literature, TPACK and UDL are usually studied separately and extensively at the higher education level, but less at the secondary level, especially in SEIP, which involves low and high technology to help ID learners learn more effectively in SEIP while promoting an inclusive environment. Hence, the objective of this paper is to explore the knowledge of special education teachers regarding the use of low and high technology based on UDL principles, namely engagement, representation, action, and expression. Data collection methods for this qualitative research are based on semi-structured interviews with four special education teachers at SEIP, in addition to observation and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to obtain relevant patterns and themes from the data collected during the semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that the study participants are very interested in and committed to applying technology in teaching for ID learners at SEIP, but their lack of knowledge and understanding of UDL principles causes them to lack effective technology approaches in teaching. These findings will also be of value to those responsible for planning and conducting programs involving special education teachers to enhance their teaching by applying low and high technology to meet the diverse needs of learners, such as ID learners. Page | 24 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF RESEARCH AND EDUCATION FOR EDUCATORS 2024 (ICREE 2024) VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER-7 (GAD-7) INSTRUMENT AMONG STUDENTS IN MALAYSIA HAZIQ AZREE YAZID AND FAUZIAH MOHD SA’AD Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Abstract- This research aims to assess validity and reliability of Generalized Anxiety Disorder7 (GAD-7) in Malay version within students. The scale was translated from GAD-7, developed by Spitzer et. al (2006). GAD-7 has been used to measure the symptoms of anxiety in line with the characters in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV-TR). Seven experts evaluated this instrument before it was distributed to the respondents. Subsequently, a pilot study involving 327 students aged 16 and 17 in two states in Malaysia, namely Negeri Sembilan and Selangor, was conducted to obtain the reliability value of the study instrument using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 26.0. The results showed that GAD-7 has a high content validity index (CVI) based on expert assessors, which is 0.90. The study findings also show that GAD-7 has a high-reliability value, with Cronbach's Alpha value of α=0.87. In conclusion, the Malay version of the GAD-7 instrument can be used to identify anxiety among school students because it high validity and reliability values. Certified halal food can be rendered non-halal or haram if contaminated with haram food during transportation, storage, and handling before reaching retailers’ stores for consumers’ consumption. In addition to a comprehensive literature review on halal logistics, a qualitative approach using five focus group discussions was conducted to explore the attitude and experiential performance of Malaysian halal food retailers towards foreign halal logistics. The research questions outlined in this study were sent in advance to the focus group respondents comprised of Malaysian halal retailers’ managing directors, deputy managing directors, procurement managers, and warehouse & and logistic managers with three to seven years of experience in foreign halal logistics. The results show that respondents have negative attitudes and negative experiential performance towards foreign halal logistics delivering halal food purchases to Malaysian halal retailers. Several issues regarding foreign halal logistics need government policy formulation to avoid ambiguous halal logistic guidelines, lack of international collaboration on halal certification by JAKIM with other international Muslim certification authorities, and lack of halal logistic enforcement by relevant international Muslim authorities. The findings of this research will assist policy formulation by government policymakers in the context of foreign halal logistics delivering halal food to Malaysian halal retailers for consumption by Muslims in Malaysia. By using a quasiexperimental research methodology in conjunction with a narrative approach, this paper attempts to close the gap by investigating the effects of multimodal vocabulary teaching on vocabulary acquisition, learning motivation, and strategies in two struggling college students. Importantly, it looks at how they perceive and accept this form of instruction as well as the underlying causes. The study shows that the two students had quite different perceptions of this instructional method, and that the primary cause of the difference was their prior educational experiences. It implies that policymakers, curriculum designers, and educators can better prepare their students to meet the diverse backgrounds and learning objectives of the English language demands of the twenty-first century by offering a variety of examination standards, balancing educational resources, and bridging the theory-application gap. AMALAN PENGAJARAN GURU CEMERLANG BAHASA MELAYU DALAM PENULISAN KARANGAN DI SEKOLAH RENDAH NUR ATIKAH BINTI MOHD NOOR NOOR Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Abstrak- Kajian ini dijalankan untuk meneroka amalan pengajaran penulisan karangan guru Bahasa Melayu di sekolah rendah. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kes yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Peserta kajian telah dipilih menggunakan teknik pensampelan bertujuan. Seramai empat orang Guru Cemerlang Bahasa Melayu sekolah rendah di Johor yang mengajar Tahap 2 telah dipilih dalam kajian ini dan ditemu bual secara separa berstruktur. Satu set soalan temu bual telah disediakan bagi meneroka amalan pengajaran guru. Setelah pengkaji selesai menemu bual peserta kajian, audio suara telah ditukar ke bentuk teks untuk dianalisis menggunakan perisian Nvivo12. Data diperoleh melalui temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisis dokumen bagi memastikan trangulasi data dicapai. The interactive activity in game-based material was designed to encourage active learning among young students at Samarahan primary schools. Active learning is a term used to describe learning through doing, thinking, and reflecting, and it is a more effective strategy for young learners to improve their cognitive abilities than the passive method used in traditional learning systems. The resources are designed to accommodate a variety of learning styles, and the questions and activities are linked to the text to help and reinforce the concept being studied. However, teachers and students in the classroom rarely incorporate interactive game-based learning into the curriculum. The majority of the learning is based on textbooks and activity books, with answers supplied. The students grow inert and lose interest in the subject of mathematics. Teachers are dissatisfied with their students' performance. As a result, interactive game-based learning is being integrated into Mathematics classes. This quantitative sampled 124 learners from a total of 441. The responses to 15-items surveys were analyzed using SPSS. The findings indicate that the interactive game-based learning in Mathematics has influences on motivation (MD=3.76, SD=1.019) towards the development of interest in the Interactive activity approach in Mathematics lessons among primary school students. This game-based interaction gives new chances for curriculum and education by bringing real-world issues into the classroom for students to explore and solve. By utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods, the study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the multifaceted aspects of character development in school-aged students. Character development plays a crucial role in the overall growth and success of individuals, especially in their roles as future human capital. However, the specific factors that contribute to character development among primary school students remain complex and require in-depth exploration. This research seeks to address this gap by identifying key influences on character development within the school environment. This study used a mixed-method design, which involved 200 students both from primary school students. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaires while qualitative data was gathered through group interviews for deeper insights into personal experiences, perceptions, and contextual influences on character development. Quantitative data is analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) while qualitative data undergo thematic analysis to extract recurring themes, patterns, and narratives related to character traits and developmental influences. By employing a mixed-methods approach, this research aims to contribute valuable insights into the complex interplay of factors shaping character development among primary school students, ultimately shedding light on strategies for fostering positive character traits for human capital development. Kajian menunjukkan emosi positif seperti kesyukuran dan mempunyai harapan membantu pesakit kanser payudara dalam peningkatan kualiti kesihatan dan kesejahteraan hidup. Walaupun rawatan dan campur tangan perubatan adalah penting, memahami pengalaman psikososial pesakit kanser payudara adalah sama penting. Kajian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk meneroka pengalaman kesyukuran dan kemurungan dalam kalangan pesakit kanser payudara. Rekabentuk kajian adalah kualitatif. Seramai 7 orang responden dipilih daripada pelbagai latar belakang dan peringkat rawatan kanser. Menggunakan temu bual separa bersturuktur yang tertumpu kepada pengertian, pengalaman dan persepsi mereka terhadap kesyukuran dan kemurungan. Analisis awal mendedahkan terdapat interaksi yang kompleks antara kesyukuran dan kemurungan. Sesetengah responden menyatakan rasa kesyukuran mendalam terhadap penerimaan bantuan penjagaan kesihatan dan sistem rangkaian sokongan dan detik kesyukuran mereka. Walau bagaimanapun, yang lain, bergelut dengan perasaan putus asa, kehilangan dan ketidakpastian. Tema muncul berkaitan dengan strategi mengatasi, daya tahan dan kesan kesyukuran terhadap kesejahteraan fizikal, mental, emosi dan tingkah laku. Memahami pengalaman kesyukuran dan kemurungan pesakit kanser payudara dapat membantu terapis merancang intervensi psikososial kepada pasukan penjagaan kesihatan paliatif bagi menyediakan perkhidmatan psikologi individu yang sesuai dan khusus dalam menangani keperluan pesakit untuk memberi kekuatan motivasi dan menangani keperluan individu serta memupuk kesyukuran sebagai faktor perlindungan terhadap kemurungan. Kajian ini juga menyumbangkan pengetahuan ilmiah kepada badan penyelidikan mengenai penjagaan kesihatan kanser payudara secara holistik. Samples were 66 primary students from 2 classes in China Huangguang school. One is experimental class (EC), another one is control class (CC). The experiment revolved around two research questions: (1) What is the level of pre- and posttest English academic achievement in the experimental class and the control class in Huangguang School? (2) What are the differences of pre- and post-test English academic achievement between the experimental class and the control class in Huangguang School? After two English lessons, although the students in both classes showed significant improvement in their scores, the average score of EC2 was 30.1818 and that of CC2 was 27.2121, and they both made progress to a certain extent, but the progress of EC2, which was

Data from SPSS 25 represents the Sig.(P)=0.019 (smaller than 0.05) between EC2 and CC2 after the experiment, and also t value is 2.470 which shows that the difference between the two sets of data with and no game teaching is statistically significant. This means that there is a significant difference between student academic achievement obtained through game-based learning and those without based learning-based learning. So, there is a significance relationship between game-based learning and English academic achievement. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA USE AND EMPLOYMENT ANXIETY AMONG UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN SHAANXI PROVINCE Zhang Dandan City University Malaysia Abstract- With the popularity of social media, while providing more convenience to the audience, its negative impact is also gradually expanding. Studies have shown that the use of social media can lead to anxiety, depression and other psychological problems, notably missing anxiety and social anxiety. In recent years, due to the severe employment situation, the employment anxiety of college students has gradually been widely concerned. The article takes college undergraduates in Shaanxi Province as the research object, attempts to find and analyze the impact of social media use on employment anxiety, and further reveals the relationship between employment anxiety and social media use behavior. The study uses questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis method, literature review and practical observation, and designs a questionnaire based on the existing mature scale in the academic field, adds the measurement link of employment anxiety, and combines the level of employment anxiety with undergraduates' social media use to form a questionnaire. Through online distribution and finally obtained 384 undergraduates in Shaanxi Province. Their social media use intensity, motivation, use type, social comparison perception, mimicry environment perception, algorithm recommendation perception and employment anxiety performance were measured in combination with the correlation scale. Finally, SPSS was used to conduct reliability and validity analysis, descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression analysis of the data results.
