Editor’s note

H appy holidays and welcome to our Annual

Online Issue. I believe we can all agree that coming out
of last year we all hoped for a very ‘normal’ year only to
realize that this pandemic situation wasn’t necessarily over
as we had hoped. Instead, we were left with reassessing and
adapting our ‘normal’ to survive in an overly-priced and
logistically binding new climate.
We can all relate to the upheavals a small business or any
business for that matter has had to undertake with shipping,
customer bases and keeping inventory just to name a few.
So, this is why we decided to focus on small businesses this
year and dedicate our Holiday issue to some of our most
beloved and hard working friends and colleagues in the
business.
We hope that you enjoy our online issue version and by all
means use the direct links to products and showcases to
support the small shops. Thank you again for joining the
ride. Happy shopping and we’ll see you next year!
Best and Cheers!
Chris and Shelli

Adamsbro:equestrian/chic

It might be argued that the lifestyle brand Adamsbro Equestrian defined the term
Equestrian Chic by delivering quality decor and clothing collections with a modern

equestrian flare. It’s this combination that has driven this little brand into making such
a large impact amongst the equestrian community. Creative Director and Founder Lotta
Lindsten divulged the secret behind her inspiration and what launched her homestead
brand from Sweden.

| W21 12 Lotta Lindsten

We are so pleased to be able to get to know a little
bit more about Lotta Lindsten, the moving force
and founder of everyone’s favorite Adamsbro
Equestrian.

Tell us a little bit about yourself Lotta. Are you an
equestrian?
My name is Lotta Lindsten, and I live on the farm
ADAMSBRO in western of Sweden.Together with
Husband, (daughter moved out) Dapple Dog and 4
horses. Before starting Adamsbro I spent 30 years as
a design director. When I turned 30 I had the privilege
to own my first horse. Since then, there have been
many more horses and I switched from showjumping
to dressage. We also dabble in breeding now.
My Passion for Horses started as a child. I love how
you learn something new together everyday. They
inspire me and it flows through my work as well. The
Beauty, Strength and Power of horses is incredible.

What inclined you to step away from your work
in the fashion industry and pursue your own
equestrian aesthetically driven label?
Actually, I’m passionate about both business and
design, I’m a entrepreneur at heart as I grew older I
wanted to do something more fun in my career. I felt
there was something missing in design as I couldn’t
find any modern equestrian styled products.
Everything seemed very English and antiquated so
I created what I would want to put in a home. I also
wanted more elevated products to offer. After 2 years
of planning day and night with close friends and
family, we decided to launch the business in 2017.
The brand name was easy as ADAMSBRO is the
name of our little farm.

Tell us a bit about your designs and what inspires
you? Is everything designed in house or do your
curate goods from other equestrian styled brands?
My designs reflect some kind of Horse inspiration and
all products should “have a ADAMSBRO feeling in
terms of design and color and all can be coordinated
in a home.I really focus on a room design aspect.
I think that a Brand must have a “fil rouge” the
combinations are clear in color, material size and
quality. The inspiration comes from impulses. All
designs are our own. We have tried to launch other
designers and products but abandoned that idea and
are just doing our own collections now.

Adamsbro currently offers an array of equestrian
inspired decor, clothing and even wallpaper. Any
reveals of new products coming our way?
The Future of ADAMSBRO will continue with our
classics of Cushions and Throws but are always
designing new products. The last launch has been
Wallpapers and has been widely accepted. We have
so many plans which includes both interior and
more Lifestyle products. Keep following for new
product launches. We are so happy we selling all over
the world now and that inspires us to broaden our
collections and expand to new products.

Written by Maddy Pasqualini Handcrafted in Nashville, TN of only the finest materials, Vincent
Peach has created a truly luxurious artisan fine jewelry line. Using
materials like pearls, diamonds, leathers, gold, silver, and other
fine stones Vincent Peach’s collections are not only original but
completely wearable. Several things drew us to Vincent’sline.
Obviously his stunning jewelry and unique mixing of luxury
materials caught our eye, but it was his equestrian collection that
really won us over.
Inspired by the beauty of equine hardware, Peach uses his signature
materials to channel the elegance of the equestrian world. While
there are many designers in the upscale jewelry market, Peach
understands his designs need to stand out. “Coming up with
something uniquely you is important in this business,” explains
Peach. People have always loved my pearl and equestrian designs.
When you look at my pieces, you instantly know it’s a Vincent
Peach design.”
In keeping with his love for horses, Peach and his girlfriend
Michelle Garcia find design inspiration on his ranch LA PERLA.
“I’m really into Quarter Horses, and working with them inspires my
designs. All of the hardware I design is my own. If you look at my
Montana bracelet, you can definitely see the equestrian influence.
Equestrian jewelry is timeless and classic.” We were so excited to
get the chance to feature some of Vincent’s pieces, as well as ask
him a few questions.

Q+A

Vincent Peach

We know you come from a long line of prominent jewelers. How has
your family history in the industry inspired you?

Yes. A lot of my designs revolve around Pearls, which we are known
for generally. My father’s company has been in the Pearl Industry for 45
years. My earliest memories were helping my father grade Pearls and
there began my fascination with all things beautiful and luxury.
You use such an incredible mix of materials.

Would you say that you let your materials dictate your designs, or
do you find the materials to fit your designs? Do you have a design
partner you work with?

The materials sometimes dictate my designs and sometimes they
don’t. For example a big slice of Tourmaline would dictate the
design because of how porwerful the stone is. Michelle Garcia
is my design partner. She has a great sense of current and classic
fashion. You will find alot of Pearls and Equestrian components in
my current collection.

What was the inspiration for your equestrian line? Are you
involved in the equine community?

The Equestrian style is the most timeless and sophisticated of all
styles as far as I’m concerned. Our love and passion for Horses
and the Equestrian Lifestyle drives our designs. While we have horses
of our own, our involvement in the industry ranges from clients
like The Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup to a private clientele of horse
owners and breeders. Nashville also has a huge equestrian community
creating the perfect environment for our beautiful designs.

We know this is a hard question, but what is your current
favorite piece?

My current favorite piece is the ‘Best In Show.” I think the piece
embodies so much Equestrian Hardware, making it a spectacular
statement necklace.

Where can we find you and your collections?

You can find our collection and at vincentpeach.com and at our 2
locations in Nashville, TN. We are also sold in over 350 retailers
across the country. You can find a location near you on the store
locator of our website.

SOMETIMES it’s just FUN being BAD...

Just ask Renee Spurge of LAsaddlery. As a veteran in the Equestrian retail industry one might argue
she’s seen it all, maybe even enough to know that starting a snarky T-shirt brand could be a risk but
we’re thrilled that she did. With Renee’s experience comes quality made merchandise stamped with
a sense of wit and styling which is a breath of fresh air in an industry, which sometimes can go
a little old school or holly hobby. Let’s find out what provoked her to start this unique fashion brand
made for everyone. (and by everyone we mean even y’all whose lives do not revolve around horses)

SHOP talk

People always ask me how I came up with the concept for Bad Horse Los Angeles. To be perfectly honest, it all began with a bitter rivalry

and a snarky joke. If I am nothing else, I am always honest, and only sometimes snarky. And that is exactly what I wanted my brand to
represent. Authentic horse girl sass.
I didn’t want to just make a plain Jane barn shirt.  I have a hard time selling clothes that I wouldn’t wear myself.  And for me to love a shirt
it has to be incredibly soft. It has to be flowy but flattering. And if it’s literally going to say something, it has to be sassy.  I mean I really
don’t want to drink Champagne all day and ride horses, that shit gives me headaches.  So clearly I already had the sass, now I just needed the
appropriate fashion vehicle for it.
I was fortunate to hook up with another equally fiery female, who had been designing and producing her own line of clothing in Los
Angeles. We instantly cliched and she loved my giddythefup. idea. I launched the line in January 2018, and my first giddythefup. fleece
sweatshirt was a huge hit with customers all over the US and Canada.
I was soon bombarded with messages from people asking when I am going to do tees? Will I do a hat? Are you coming out a with a whole
collection?  Well they asked and I delivered.
My original t-shirt brand, that I had produced a few years prior had been called eqgirl. But I realized that was not the right name for my
brand anymore. I was a woman now. No more girlish fantasies. No more yessing to everyone.  No more Mrs. Nice Gal. It was time to
embrace my truth. I am an honest, opinionated, and super sarcastic little feisty Italian horse woman. And if I wanted to be bad, well than I
was going to be bad.  The name Bad Horse was actually a suggestion from my boyfriend’s cousin who is in the entertainment industry, so
credit is due where it is fully deserved.  As soon as he said it, it stuck, and Bad Horse Los Angeles was officially born!
It’s been 3 years since I started Bad Horse and I continue strive to be my own brand of creativity, and will only produce top quality products.
I wholeheartedly believe in small businesses, including small manufacturers that pay a living wage, especially made here on our home soil
whenever possible.
I hope you enjoy my little brand. I love hearing from customers and always am open to suggestions so don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Alli Addison
Creator of Milton Menasco

First of all we love your brand. As many know we have
collaborated in the past editorially and we’re just
beyond excited to do an actual photoshoot and get to
know you better.

Let’s begin:

Update us on what’s going on in the life of Alli
Addison, the force behind the popular brand
Milton Menasco.

Well, it seems like a lot and I will begin by saying
copious amounts of Horse Girl Energy is fueling
my fire right now. Life is busy, but life is busy
for everyone these days. We are in the thick of
HOLIDAY right now, launching new products,
new collaborations with our partners Street &
Saddle and Tenlea Hunter, working tirelessly to
keep product in stock amid production delays,
etc. And some major pivoting. When world
events present a small business with hurdles (or
should I say massive oxers… cheesy, I know),
you have to pivot in your business plan and get
creative. There were certain things we had started
working on at the beginning of the year to have
in time for this holiday season, but sadly they
didn’t come to fruition. So we modified and started
introducing new collections, such as our runaway
hit, The Vintage Collection - curated vintage goods
with horse girl flair, hand-picked and restored to their
former glory for both the wardrobe and home. It has
been so well received that we’ve decided to keep the
collections moving forward.

Many may know that your family came from ranching
and the name Milton Menasco is based from that. If they
don’t, they will know after this question. Tell us a little bit
about your upbringing. Were you always a horse girl? Where
did that name come from?

So I was born unto horse-loving parents, and into a family of
horsewomen and horsemen with a long history of ranching in California.
I don’t know exactly when I first sat on a horse, but I can assure you it was in
infancy. My horse girl status was solidified at such a young age that there was no
chance of turning back. I grew up on our family ranch in Nipomo, California (where I
still live today) on land that was originally part of my great great great grandparents (on
my fathers side) Mexican land grant from the 1830’s. There is an unparalleled sense of

Necklaces Chelsea Collette Collections amuck as children exploring orchards and creeks, riding
Hat Stetson our horses through the same hills my great great great
grandparents rode through. It was undeniably idyllic, and
today I am able to offer a slice of that same upbringing
for my own two children and I am eternally grateful for
that.

Now horses. My parents both ride (to this day) and are
immersed in western culture and lifestyle. So naturally
I began my riding career in a western saddle, attending
local junior rodeos and horse shows. When I was 8 years
old, I decided to “black sheep” my way into the English
discipline and had developed a fondness (or interest I
should say in jumping). Luckily I had a great little all
round pony that transitioned very well into this discipline
and began showing pony hunters and eventually found
may way to the United States Pony Club and three day
eventing. Fast forward to today, I still ride western
with my family weekly but also ride at a local hunter
jumper barn with my trainer Amanda Garcia and this is
where my heart lies. A well-rounded rider has always
been my jam, and I’ve been working to instill this
same all-discipline-encompassing-mentality upon my
own children, although it is not going seamlessly at the
moment. My pony riding daughter prefers her little pony
and the English discipline and my son can only cope
riding his little quarter horse and attending local junior
rodeos. But I shall persist.

Now, Milton Menasco. The name comes from my great
uncle on my mother’s side, the late famous equine
portrait artist Milton Menasco. Known for his classic
and exacting depiction of the horse and his traditional
aesthetic in sporting art, I was lucky enough to also grow
up surrounded by his work. His career spanned decades
and naturally with so much produced horse art, the
family inherited many pieces. Coming back to that horse
girl status that was solidified in infancy, I would spend
hours combing through his work, staring at the walls
examining the horses he painted and sketched. And in
true requisite fashion of ALL HORSE GIRLS, I spent my
downtime drawing, trying to hone my skills to a Milton
Menasco level, which now looking back on the saved
pieces of “art” my mother held onto over the years, I was
indeed no child prodigy. But lord I practiced, and through
it all I managed to hone some artistic skills. As the
years passed, I began collecting Milton Menasco art and
eventually started an instagram account under his name
and in homage to his career, sharing equestrian lifestyle
content. It snowballed from there and here we are today,
with an entire brand named Milton Menasco.

What would you consider to be your own personal
style? Does this style filter down into your own
branding?

I’m a mixed bag. I love a good minimalist laid back look,
but I am also a sucker for a show stopping element. My
personal style is a combination of classical equestrian
mixed with 1970’s western with a hint of French girl
chic. Is that even a thing? I don’t know. But regardless,

so naturally I gravitate towards the fall/winter styles of cozy and for years building these relationships with other brands and influential

But aside from this desire to dress like its 35 degrees out when always a good idea, and that comes to the promotion of your own business
its actually 75 degrees, our brand is rooted in multi-discipline as well. I believe that the best and most sustainably successful business

necessarily immersed in horse culture but intrigued by it? I
have yet to come up with that answer, but let’s put that on the
list of to-dos in these next 5 years.
