59 Serving Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty Counties Savannah Technical College (STC) serves Coastal Georgia with quality, market-driven technical education with campus locations in Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty counties. Serving more than 10,000 credit and non-credit students annually, STC offers nearly 150 different instructional programs in Aviation Technology, Business and Professional Services, Industrial Technology, and Health Sciences in addition to Adult Education classes, industry-specific training, and continuing education. The College has the largest enrollment of military-affiliated students in the Technical College System of Georgia. One in four STC students is a veteran, active duty service member, or a military dependent/spouse. Student teams won top awards in the U.S. for SkillsUSA in 2022. Business Management students won gold in the Community Service competition after raising $20K for the Lion’s Club of Savannah. As the highest scoring team in the national competition, TCSG awarded the Georgia Postsecondary Curtiss P. Bell Award of Excellence in Team Competition to STC’s Community Service Team. The College’s Community Service team won gold at the state competitions in 2021 and 2022. Savannah Tech teams also won silver for Barbering and Promotional Bulletin Board and bronze for OSHA and Commercial Drones, a competition that debuted this year. To meet the need for CNAs with area hospitals, assisted living and long-term care centers, the College condensed its CNA training with Nurse Aide Accelerated, which may be completed in only 7.5 weeks. It also launched two innovative apprenticeship programs for Certified Nurse Aide and Patient Care Technician certifications with a local hospital. The College expanded its automotive technology options with light-duty diesel engine training for Fall 2022. It also announced a night cohort option for its Peace Officer Academy for Basic Law Enforcement TCC training.

65 Serving Candler, Emanuel, Jenkins, Johnson, Montgomery, Tattnall, Toombs, and Treutlen Counties Southeastern Technical College (STC) serves the counties of Candler, Emanuel, Jenkins, Johnson, Montgomery, Tattnall, Toombs and Treutlen by providing an innovative, educational environment for student learning focused on building a well-educated, globally competitive workforce for Southeastern Georgia. Last year, over 2,300 students enrolled in the more than 80 associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates offered at the College. These awards certify that our graduates are ready to become immediate contributors in the fields of business, environmental and industrial technologies, health sciences, and human services. Community-based extension and outreach services are provided through STC’s Economic Development Division. Approximately 14,000 citizens were served last year through the College’s economic development programs (continuing education, customized contract training, and other community-based programs and services). The Adult Education program at STC provides students with locations in all eight-service delivery area counties where they can receive instruction to improve their literacy and mathematical skills and prepare for their High School Equivalency certification examination. Nearly 600 students without high school diplomas were enrolled in STC’s Adult Education program last year. SRTC offers over 130 degree, diploma, and certificate programs designed to prepare and equip students for meaningful careers. With numerous campuses strategically situated across Southwest Georgia as well as state-of-the-art online courses, SRTC offers convenient options to meet students’ training and education needs. Additionally, SRTC has one of the largest dual enrollment programs in the Technical College System of Georgia, teaching students at twenty high schools. 73 Serving Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, Heard, Meriwether, and Troup Counties With five campuses and three instructional sites across the region, West Georgia Technical College is the powerhouse for workforce development and technical education in West Georgia. In Academic Year 2022, total enrollment for the College’s 144 credit programs was 8,862, including 1,852 dual enrolled high school students. WGTC is ranked number four among TCSG colleges in total unduplicated graduates (2,028) last year. Partnerships are a focal point of how we work to support the needs of the community. West Georgia Tech continues to build on its benchmark partnership with the University of West Georgia. UWG refers students to WGTC through the West in Thirty program, and four associate degrees at West Georgia Tech fully transfer to UWG. Most recently the institutions have created Wolf Bound, a joint advising model for those students who seek to transfer to UWG. The College is also forging significant business and industry relationships for credit, non-credit, and high school equivalency training. One example is Delta Airlines, through the Economic Development division, to provide customized training including skills assessments and gap training to Delta GSE employees from all over the US, who work behind the scenes to help keep Delta’s ground support operations running smoothly. The College recently opened its new, high-tech $66M Carroll Campus, replacing a 54-year-old facility with three new buildings, in the Buffalo Creek Technology Park in Carrollton, Georgia.
