_EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT EVENTS_

AEAA Awards

Asiaflex Education & Achievement Awards (AEAA) recognizes and values employee’s
children with exemplary results in the 3 major Malaysian education system
examinations namely UPSR, PT3 and SPM / SVM. However due to COVID-19 and as
UPSR / PT3 have been canceled, this year’s Award will only be given to SPM / SVM
students.

Before the event that was held on Friday, 17 Sep 2021, all award recipients had been
given an assignment and they are required to do an introductory video about
themselves. (See next page to view their videos)

This year, we received sad news on the demise of two of our beloved colleagues and
friends, Arwah Kasim bin Ibas due to COVID-19 and Arwah Mohd Aliff bin Arshad due
to cancer. For the past few years, we have also lost 2 of our colleagues. Therefore,
Asiaflex Management has decided to extend this AEAA Award to their children
- Starting from next year's examination. This is to show that even though our
employees are no longer with us, but we never forget their family especially the
children.

Department Bonding – Gift Exchange

We have restrictions in the new norms to follow but it does not mean we are not able
to celebrate our bonding and strengthen our relationship. Given the current
circumstances, the company has decided to replace our yearly Department Outing
activity with a Department Bonding Program where employees have the chance to
exchange gifts with each other, regardless of whether they are working at home or
plant/office.

Each Asiaflex employee has been given Aeon vouchers amounting RM120 and a
briefing to the department representatives and managers has been conducted at the
end of August.

survey emphasized the need to further strengthen our culture and offerings around
wellbeing.

Thus, a new global employee assistance program (EAP) called ‘Workplace Options’
has been launched to focus on the employees’ overall wellbeing and their family. As
this program has more extensive offerings than typical EAP programs, this program

may be replacing the multiple EAP vendors currently being used across the
company.

Through Workplace Options, Your Wellbeing Program, practical information and
live counseling on a variety of topics including wellbeing support, life planning, work-
related issues and so much more will be available to you and those close to you, such
as your partner or a family member. Information can be provided over the phone or

via email, and counseling is offered at a time and location convenient to you.

The key benefits of this program include:

• No cost to the employee. The service is paid for by TechnipFMC.
• Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. At any time

of the day or night, weekends, and over holidays, you will be able to speak with
mental health professionals.

• Confidentiality is maintained. Although TechnipFMC will receive utilization

statistics on the number of people using the service and the issues that were
raised, no personal, identifying information will be disclosed. No one at
TechnipFMC will know that you have called unless you choose to disclose this.
• Independent, impartial source of support. Workplace Options is completely

independent and does not represent any organization, including TechnipFMC.

Hydroponic Planting Project

Stay home, stay safe, stay green with hydroponic

As people pick up new hobbies while they remain at home due to the COVID-19
pandemic and adapt to a lifestyle of the new norm, interest in gardening and farming
is experiencing a boom nowadays.

In consideration of this new trend, Asiaflex has taken the initiative to introduce and
train our volunteers in its Hydroponic Planting Project.

We kicked start the journey in mid-July with 60 iVolunteers and embarked on our
journey with guidance from our staff, Mohd Noor Darson and Ahmad Al-Fadhil Ab
Halim. We harvested our first produces on the 29th of August and donated a total of
36 packets (4 kg) of fresh vegetables to the underprivileged B40 students of
TechnipFMC’s adopted schools, in conjunction with Malaysia Independence Day.

Later on 12th September, we donated another 25 packets (3 kg) of fresh
vegetables and groceries to the villagers at Kampung Tanjung Langsat, Pasir
Gudang in Johor.

The hydroponic planting project is currently on its 3rd phase for another round of
donation to the villagers at Kampung Tanjung Langsat with some used pallets
to build chicken coops, cabinets for the community hall and planting plots. Due
to the overwhelming response from the employees, we plan to continue with this
Hydroponic Planting 2.0 Project in October.

Near Miss - SP18 Gearbox Bolt Detached

On 22 August 2021 at around 1.15PM during SP18 machine
operations, one of the employees heard a falling object sound inside
the cage during the slow turning of the machine. The team
immediately stop the machine to check if any abnormal condition of
the SP18 machine.

After observation, 3 of 4 pcs of the bolt had been found under sump
pit grating and the gearbox table #2 was not in a safe position with
only 1 bolt left on it. Although, the connection shaft also bent during
observation. The crew immediately informed the team leader and
maintenance team for further inspection. There was no broken sign
on the detached bolt observed.

Why did it happen?

1. Gearbox bolt & nut were loosened
2. Abnormal vibration on gearbox due to different size of cardan

shaft
3. Use crown washer instead of spring washer

Actions Taken From This Incident

1. Change to the original cardan shaft
2. Change crown washer to spring washer ( both tables)
3. Change the new bolt for both tables ( with specific torque)
4. Visual inspection on the screw and bolt marking weekly for 3 month

INDYSOFT IMPLEMENTATION IN ASIAFLEX

In 2019, there was a TechnipFMC group's direction on
using IndySoft as the main calibration management
system for all manufacturing units. Asiaflex has taken
up the challenge and start reviewing and working on the integration of this software into the
Monitoring and Measurement Equipment (MME) management system. ASMU QC Process
team, Wan Iswandy and Hafizee have been tasked with this assignment and they have been
working with TechnipFMC Nusajaya to put the system in place utilizing the IndySoft. Finally,
in January 2021, IndySoft was officially launched and implemented in Asiaflex.

What is a calibration management system? Why it is important?

Calibration management plays a significant role in asset management. The organization
needs to calibrate its instruments, equipment, and devices at scheduled intervals to ensure
performance and measuring accuracy. The calibration management can be a very tedious job
to ensure the accuracy, scheduled intervals respected and following specification
requirements. A good tool and software that manage the calibration system, helps to ensure
the requirements are met. It can be a little daunting to manage calibrations for a large volume
of equipment without a good tool.

Introduction to IndySoft:
