LIMBAYONG PROJECT QHSE AUDIT PLANNING IN
ASIAFLEX (22/09/2021)

After the API recertification audit last May, the Limbayong QHSE
audit is the first project conducted with more than 80% of the
auditees were working fromhome. This was a real challenge that
Asiaflex faced to ensure that the audit will go smoothly to gain
our client’s confidence. Planning and coordination with the
respective parties are essential so that everybody knows what to
prepare and what is expected of them.

PETRONAS (The Client) has requested a virtual plant tour and
to ensure everybody is well prepared for this. A dry run was
conducted 2 days before the actual audit day between Asiaflex
and BU team. With the aid of Smart Goggle, tablet and
handphone and good preparation from the team, the effort paid
off when clients and BUs were very pleased and impressed with
the session.

With more than 36 personnel from Asiaflex Products Sdn Bhd, 51
TechnipFMC Kuala Lumpur and also representatives from the
Petronas project, the audit went very well with no non -
conformance or Observation raised by the auditors.

There were 4 Good Points (GPs) and 3 Opportunities for
Improvement(OFI) on the Quality part and 3 GPs and 2 OFIs on
the HSE part. Both client representatives, auditors and the BU
team were happy with the audit outcome.

Well done to the Asiaflex team and keep up the good work!!

OSAS has generated one health pledge to show our commitment to breaking
the chain of COVID-19 spread.

Seven tips were shared during the session for our guide to playing our part in
the community;

1. Wash your hands frequently;
2. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose;
3. Cover your cough with the bend of your elbow or tissue;
4. Avoid crowded places;
5. Stay at home if you feel unwell – even with a slight fever, sore throat, or cough;

Jangkrik HLV Jumbo Vision Mobilization

Written by Wan Muhammad Adam Wan Mohamad

OSAS coordinated mobilization of HLV Jumbo Vision for Jangkrik Project.

The vessel has arrived at Tanjung 57
Langsat port on 31 August 2021 at
11.00AM and went into operations mode
straightaway after received clearance for
lifting operations to be carried on. For 2
days, the mobilization operations were
carried out during the day shift only.
All OSLT equipment hired by Jangkrik
project were mobilized back to their home
country after successful operations of
Jangkrik Umbilical Replacement project.
One mobile crane was hired during this
mobilization period to shift both TR
Winches (TR34 & TR44) close to the
vessel crane.
As for the sea-fastening, hotwork job was
continued onboard and only stopped for

a while when there is a crossing of overhead
heavy lifting to ensure the safety of the hotwork
team is taken care of.

Due to the fluctuation of COVID-19 cases
across Malaysia, OSAS and the project team
have come to a mutual agreement that this
mobilization will be done thoroughly within the
OSAS team and 3rd parties hired without the
project engineer representative being present
on site. This drive is to reduce the risk of
spreading the virus and is a part of our effort to
break the chain within our community.

Despite constraints were faced in following the
new norms of working, the OSAS team had
managed to carry out the mobilization
operations as scheduled. We’ve been highly
trusted by the project team on this operation,
thus we had made the delivery efficient.

Throughout the operation, the OSAS team had
explored a new configuration method for OSLT
TR Winches in which this equipment are
slightly different from the ones that own by
OSAS. In the way forward, from this
experience, we will be able to carry out the task
trouble-free.
