To All Principles & Parts Departments:

Flavor Burst has redesigned the CAB 113 syrup tray for all systems (SS, BEV, FCB, BLD). The
old tray was designed so that the syrup bag fitment locked into the slot at the bottom. In some
cases, when the syrup lines were bumped or pulled, this created enough strain on the fitment
nozzle to cause it to break. We now advise loading the syrup bags into the trays with the bag
fitment completely behind the front tray opening, so that if the syrup line moves, the connection is
free to move with them.

To further encourage this new way of installing the bags, the new trays have a narrower opening
so that the bag fitment collar cannot slide and lock into place it like it used to. The opening is
wide enough for the syrup line, so the connection between the bag fitment and syrup line remains
inside the tray. Follow the guide below, and add the following instructional page to the “Replacing
the Syrup Flavors” section of your operations manual.

Introducing CTP DEMO, the Flavor Burst Demo Unit. This 4-flavor
compact, portable, and versatile system is designed for the salesperson
who wants to demonstrate the Flavor Burst systems on-site. This system
connects directly to the customer’s own freezers so they can see first-hand
how a Flavor Burst system works with their own equipment, develop a
personalized profit projection, and sample the product themselves.

The Demo Unit comes with nearly everything you will need for a demonstration of a Flavor Burst system.
• It is easily portable with the collapsible cart, mini sanitizer tank, and padded carrying case which
holds the tool kits, spare parts, and Color Touch Panel.
• The special 4-flavor cabinet includes interchangeable syrup bag connectors so you can install soft
serve, blend, or beverage flavors.
• The Color Touch Panel contains the full standard Flavor Burst program with a special Demo Unit
addition to calculate customer-specific profit projections and display spec sheets.
• The spare parts kit comes with a variety of adapter kits to various Taylor freezers. Always ensure
you have the appropriate adapter kit for your customer.
• The system also includes all the Injector/Blending assemblies needed for Flavor Burst original
stripe, Flavor Blend, Flavor Burst Beverage and new Flavor Burst Premium Beverage systems.

Included in the product line on this Demo Unit is a new product we call “Premium Beverage”. A release
on the full premium beverage system is coming soon. Our current “BEV” beverage system can at times
“marbleize” the syrup and product, creating a ribbon effect instead of a solid blended look. In our search to
develop a better shake system, we’ve discovered that a specific combination of syrup type, pump, and gear
cartridge results in a much more thoroughly blended product for both shake and slush.

One of the biggest differences between our standard and premium beverage systems is the premium
systems will use Blend syrups (FLA XXXBLD) instead of beverage syrups. We currently offer only 12
flavors, but are working on expanding the Blend syrup line. Also, note that while Blend syrups are more
expensive than our standard beverage syrups, they also have a much higher concentration of color and
flavor. This means you can use a lot less syrup to flavor a serving. Estimated cost of syrup per serving is
about half of that of standard beverage syrup. The Premium Beverage system will be available as a CTP
system only and will have a slightly higher price point.

You can still show a standard shake system using your Demo system if the customer is more interested in
having a wider variety of available flavors and isn’t concerned about the product possibly having a
marbleized appearance.

The Demo Unit is available as a Color Touch Panel (CTP) operated system only. This system is
compatible with most freezers that produce soft serve, shake, and slush product. It is not compatible with
Frozen Carbonated Beverage product or freezers. The Demo Unit system is not available for resale. It is
intended for use by Taylor representatives only as a sales tool. The cost of the Demo Unit is $3,450.

Subject: Flavor Blend News and Updates

To All Principles, Sales and Parts Departments:

SYRUP YIELD UPDATE: After extensive testing, we have found that the Flavor Blend syrup usage per
serving is higher than previous calculations. The updated average yield amount is approximately 1,000
servings per gallon of Flavor Blend syrups, based on 4 oz. serving size and a syrup dispense rate of 2 on a
CTP system.

BUTTERFAT CONTENT RECOMMENDATION: When using the Flavor Blend system, we highly
recommend using soft serve mix with a 6% or less butterfat content. Soft serve product with a higher
butterfat content creates great difficulty in the blending process and also causes a current draw that is not
acceptable for some of our driver boards.

PUMP FREEZERS AND FLAVOR BLEND: As with all Flavor Burst systems, we recommend pairing the
Flavor Blend system with a freezer that has a pump mix delivery system.

DRIVER BOARD: If you are experiencing a loss of power from your Flavor Blend driver board to the
blending motor, you may be able to exchange the board for a modified one that has more durable circuitry
in that area. Simply follow these instructions.

• Place an order for a ELE 911 Driver Board with high-speed programming
• Fill out an RA Form through your warranty department, and email it to [email protected]

In the meantime, if a customer loses power to the blending motor on bank C, they can move the cable from
bank C to bank D, and run Equipment Setup Wizard to reroute the power. Also, reduce the Injector Motor
Speed down to level 8 (see “Serving Options” section of the CTP Maintenance Menu). The product blend
won’t be as thorough, but it will protect the board from an over-current malfunction.

Flavor Burst soft-serve and Flavor Blend syrups are now produced with a new syrup bag fitment,
which extends further out than the old design. If the fitment is placed outside the slot or in the
groove, the fitment nozzle may snap off when the cabinet door is closed. When loading the new
syrup bag into a tray, place the entire bag fitment behind the slot in the tray. The Flavor Burst
will still be able to pump out all the syrup from the bag in that position. Follow the guide below,
and add the following instructional page to the “Replacing the Syrup Flavors” section of your
operations manual.

To All Principles & Parts Departments:

Beginning in 2016, Flavor Burst soft-serve and Flavor Blend syrups will be produced with a new syrup bag
fitment. The old style fitment is no longer manufactured by our supplier. The advantage of the new fitment
is that the syrup bags will no longer require an adapter and can connect directly with the syrup line
connector. Those that have the old style syrup connector with the metal locking ring will need to replace
their syrup line assemblies with the newest style SYR 944A syrup lines (order 8 assemblies). Those that
have compatible syrup connector lines will simply phase out the bag adapters, using them only on syrup
bags that have the old fitment until it’s replaced with a bag with a new fitment. Follow the guide below.

Subject: Discontinued CONV BLEND-FB

To All Parts Departments:

Flavor Burst is discontinuing the CONV BLEND-FB conversion kit. We have received some reports that the Flavor
Blend conversion kit is causing overload issues with the older keypad-operated “FB” models. The blend system
requires higher amperage than what the older electronics board can provide. At this time, we are not able to
successfully convert an FB model (i.e. FB 80a, FB 2000, etc.) to a Flavor Blend model.

The conversion kit for the Touchscreen models is still available (CONV BLEND), as the power supply for the
Touchscreen is able to support the higher amperage.

Flavor Burst has also discovered issues with the Blend systems not having a full blend with thicker soft-serve product.
Flavor Blend is not recommended to be used with soft serve product with 7% or higher butterfat content. We are
continuing our efforts in correcting this issue, but recommend at this time using a product with a lower butterfat content.

marbleized appearance.

The Demo Unit is available as a Color Touch Panel (CTP) operated system only. This system is compatible
with most freezers that produce soft serve, shake, and slush product. It is not compatible with Frozen
Carbonated Beverage product or freezers. The Demo Unit system is not available for resale. It is intended
for use by Taylor representatives only as a sales tool. The cost of the Demo Unit is $3,450.

Tips for a Better “Blend”: If you are experiencing issues with the product not blending as it should, follow
these steps to optimize blending.

• First, slow down the freezer’s draw rate, so that the blending assembly has time to blend the product.
The draw rate is very important and is most likely the cause of product blending issues.

• Consequently, with a slower draw rate, use the Touchscreen to lower the dispense rate of each
syrup. Find the right balance. Too much or too little syrup may cause an unblended look.

• If the above doesn't work, you can change the polarity of the motor by swapping the electrical leads
inside the motor casing. This reverses the direction of the motor and, in a few cases, has shown to
blend effectively.

Double your flavor choices with the new Flavor Burst Base units. These basic systems connect to an
existing Flavor Burst system and a freezer to offer a total of 16 flavors. Because they utilize existing
Touchscreens and sanitizer systems, they save both time and money.

BASE 1S SYSTEMS: This system allows you to serve 16 Flavors from one freezer spout with the use of a
special Injector or Blending Head. The additional 8 flavors are displayed on a separate menu screen
following the first 8 flavors (see http://youtu.be/M2FclDVRyD8 for a demonstration). Base 1S systems
are available for soft serve (TS BASE SS-1S) and frozen beverage (TS 80BEV-1S)

BASE 2S SYSTEMS: This Base unit attaches to a different spout than your existing Flavor Burst system,
to deliver another 8 flavors to another base product! The Touchscreen is reprogrammed to operate much
like our Dual Series system, only now the system delivers eight flavors to each spout instead of only four.
Base 2S systems are available for soft serve (TS BASE SS-2S), frozen beverage (TS 80BEV-2S) and FCB
(TS 80FCB-2S).

NOTE: Base units require minor electrical and mechanical modifications in the field. The Base unit is an
“add-on” to an existing Flavor Burst Touchscreen system; it does not operate independently. Base units

are not compatible with older keypad-operated Flavor Burst models. The Base units are only available in

the standard cabinet design shown above. Sales of the Base unit qualify for the Salesman Incentive

Flavor Burst has decided to discontinue the CDROM (for syrup-based systems) and CDROM2 (for
CrunchiCreme systems) Art Toolkit Discs in favor of three new and improved Art DVDs.

These discs essentially contain the same images as the old cdroms. However, the illustrated images on

each disc have been reproduced in high resolution sizes for customers who want to design their own large
banners, billboards, vehicle wraps, etc. These images will print at 30-40” at the widest measurement at

300dpi, and can also be reduced in size as well, for smaller projects.

The photographic images are at the maximum size of approximately 12-15” at 200dpi, due to the megapixel
limitations of the cameras used to photograph them. They are still included on the discs for customers who
wish to create small posters, menu boards, and flyers using these images.

Each DVD comes with a Licensing Agreement and images in both JPG and PNG formats. For more
