Mohd Hafiz Faizal Bin Mohamad Kamil – Dr. SENIOR LECTURER, CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA Mohd Hafiz Faizal is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Multimedia Section at Malaysian Institute of Information Technology, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) since 2019. He obtained his PhD in 2017 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Visual Informatics Study. Before joined Unikl, he has working experience in the area of integrated digital marketing for two years. He has published several papers in journal and conference proceeding. His area of expertise includes Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, User Interface Design, User Experience Design, Visual Communication and Advertising. Prof. Dr. Dahlan Abdul Ghani is a Senior Lecturer in the Animation Section at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology. Muhammad Syafiq Fawwaz bin Muhammad Abdul Aziz LECTURER, CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA & ANIMATION Muhd. Syafiq Fawwaz B. Muhd. Hanif Faiq portfolio caught the attention from award-winning Rhythm & Hues Studios, an American visual effects and animation company that received the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Babe ( 1995 ), The Golden Compass ( 2008 ), and Life of Pi ( 2013 ). His career in the animation industry started as he became their 3D Tracking and Matchmover Artist and gotten involved in two Hollywood feature films namely Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monster ( 2013 ) and Into the Storm ( 2014 ) – a job that challenged his artistic and technical abilities to the max! In 2016, he also was given the opportunity to work in Syafiq Yusof ‘s movies, Desolasi and Abang Long Fadil 2 as a Visual Effects Artist (freelancer). Other than that, He also involved as Visual Effects Artist in other local and international movies as well such as Zombitopia (Malaysia), HR2 (China) and Untold Body (China). She received a MSc in Multimedia Information Systems from the University of Portsmouth, England and worked as a lecturer since 1998. She has received training in Game Rating at Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC previously known as Game Rating Board (GRB)) in Seoul, South Korea. She involved with a lot of partnership between UniKL and Korean Universities in setting up collaborations and programmes. Currently coordinating Advancement and Continuing Education (ACE) unit in UniKL MIIT.She is in charge of developing and marketing short courses, professional certificates, franchise and special projects. RESEARCH AREAS Her research interests include multi platform of interactive applications, game development, game design, graphic design, interactive learning, mobile application, mobile game, cognitive rehabilitation using game and interactive video, and interactive storytelling (Digital and Non-Digital). Bhd., Digi 1800 for telecommunication company, Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd., Toppan More Paragon Sdn. Bhd. Hence, I am applying industrial hands-on teaching methods to the students & sharing my precious industries experiences for the courses that I am teaching. The industries experiences then are benefited most in knowledge transfer coupled with my academic qualification of Master in Visual Communications & New Media from UiTM Malaysia, & the PhD award from University of Hertfordshire, UK. Rafidei bin Mohamad MEMBERS OF ACADEMIC UNIVERSITY OF KUALA LUMPUR | MIIT DEPUTY DEAN IIIP / SENIOR LECTURER, CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA & ANIMATION Rafidei Mohamad is a Senior Lecturer in Animation Section Rafidei began his career as a graphic designer and eventually moved to animation. He was involved in numerous animation projects such as television commercials, international 3D animated series, corporate videos including visual effects for Malaysia’s first full length animated feature film Silat Legenda (1998). He decided to venture into the academics in a mission to share his knowledge and experience to produce new batch of local animation experts. Obtaining his Master’s Degree in Computer Science makes him a hybrid with a good balance of art and science expertise. He is presently a Senior Lecturer and Deputy of International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership (IIIP) UNIKLMIIT. Rafidei’s research current activities include animation VR, projection mapping, augmented reality and other related activities to creative content creation.
