PRIMARY SCHOOL TRIP TO THE RIFT

On the 18th of October 2019, our 51
primary students went on a school
trip to The Rift, Mid Valley Megamall.
The students were each given 8
tokens and were allowed to choose
whatever game they felt like playing.
Some games fostered teamwork
among the students, some made the
students come out of their shells and
built confidence and some enhanced
their thinking skills and required a
steady hand.
The teams were pushed to their limits
and had to rely on each other to win.
For those who preferred to work
alone, there were an array of games
with personal challenges and
obstacles to overcome. And all these
were experienced in a safe-enclosed
area with professional technicians to
assist the students. We were lucky
enough to have the whole place to
ourselves.
We ended the day with a simple lunch
and headed back to school.

We also celebrated
Teacher Pooi Yan's
birthday with the
many delicious cakes
there. It was indeed a

TEACHERS' TRIP TO IPOH

Our Teachers had a wonderful trip to Ipoh on
the 25th of November 2019. It was organised
and lead by Cikgu Ong, our retired Bahasa
Melayu teacher.
Our first stop in the morning was the Gua
Tempurung - the geosite famous for its very
beautiful caves and pristine rivers for white
water rafting/rapids.

CREST 59

TEACHERS' TRIP TO IPOH

Around noon, we
visited the Tanjung
Tualang Tin Dredging
'Monster' - the last
and only tin dredge in
Malaysia (and possibly
in the world) which
was restored for all to
appreciate the
glorious days of the
tin mining industry in
Malaysia before the
1980s.

We went to Tanjung
Tualang, famous for
fresh seafood, for
lunch, before we
almost cleared up one
of the roadside store
selling local village-
made biscuits,
cooking paste and
fruits!

The famous Ipoh
Concubine Lane was
our next stop where
we walked and
shopped the most!
We enjoyed the
awesome choices of
food too, especially
the famous Teochew
Tau Fu Fah, where we
need to queue up for
quite a while just to
savour a bowl of it!
Later, we went a few
blocks further to buy
the famous Salted
Chicken.

We had our dinner at
a well-known hawker
centre next to the
Sam Tet Primary
School.

BUSINESS STUDIES TRIP TO PENANG

Our Year 9 students and teachers 61
went on the Business Studies
Project Trip to Penang for 4 days.

various attractions in Penang for
their project.
Following their educational trip
to Penang on the 9th of
December 2019, the Year 9
students presented their final
business plans to the school as
part of their final semester
examination. The quality of these
pitch presentations made the
final selection very challenging.
After a full day of pitches and
deliberations, 9 Churchill was the
champion of the Year 9 Business
Studies Project, followed by 9
Truman and 9 Roosevelt.

the Malaysia Preliminary round to give her a
chance to fly to Hong Kong to compete

A MESSAGE
FROM OUR CRIS

PRINCIPAL

I am thankful for an eventful year that has been both exciting and productive
for Campus Rangers International School. Much of the success can be
attributed to the hard work of both the teaching and administrative teams for
their continuous work throughout the school year in providing for the best of
Campus Rangers students. I would like to also appreciate and thank all parents,
many who were very understanding especially in difficult times such as these,
for their cooperation and support which tremendously helped Campus Rangers
to provide the best possible experience, both during the physical and online
lessons over the year.

CREST 78

For our pioneering batch of students, who have spent the first year together in
this beautiful campus, I am honored to be given the opportunity of guiding
your learning journey, and serving as principal has kept me young at heart
made me a happy and proud Eagle at Campus Rangers.

Your performances in school events throughout the year has shown everyone
of your capability in putting knowledge into practice, and have embraced
many positive values that Campus Rangers stands for. I believe all of you will
continue to pursue your passions and positively impact those around you with
your amazing talents that I have seen over this one year.

This yearbook titled, “CREST – Campus Rangers Empowering Students
Today” characterizes our school culture perfectly. As the school moves on with
its pursuit to equip, impact and transform lives, we believe you all have been
truly equipped and empowered with the tools of adaptability and perseverance
to overcome and to show success in today’s rapidly changing world. I believe
with continued effort, you will positively impact the world and society. I wish
all students enjoy the quest of knowledge as you continue your education
journey in Campus Rangers and look forward to all of you successfully
reaching the CREST of your lives.

God bless you, class of 2020!

Sincerely,

Angie Chong

A Message from Our CRIS
Head of Primary & Preschool

Dear Rangers Kidz and CRIS Primary students,

As we come to the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, I am amazed and
humbled as I reflect on how God has helped us through a challenging year.
Despite the significant turmoil caused by Covid-19, am so proud that you have
all performed so well in your quest to continue learning. I want to
congratulate our teachers for their persistence and perseverance as they
embrace technology to deliver lessons online. My congratulations also extend
to you, our dear students, as you embark on new learning journeys and
platforms, stopping at nothing in order to progress in your pathway of
education.

The quality of school life is often measured by how vibrant its community is,
and this first year at Rangers Kidz and Campus Rangers International School
is filled with achievements that must be applauded. We started the year with a
grand Chinese Cultural Day celebration where you confidently presented in
front of an audience of about 200 people and displayed your talents in the art
and mandarin orange design competitions.

CREST 80

By February, the primary students were on stage boldly delivering their
stories during the story-telling competition while the school community
dressed up as their favourite book character in conjunction with the English
Month. When Covid-19 stopped us from going to school in March, it did not
stop your learning or celebrations. I am incredibly proud that you have
worked collaboratively in your own homes and contributed to a beautiful
video as a tribute to your dear parents on Parents Day.

Weren’t we all excited when the school gates opened again in July? We
celebrated Patriotic Month in August with song presentations over our PA
assembly and participated in a colouring competition that promoted cultural
diversity and harmony. When the school went online for the second time in
October, teaching and learning came so naturally. In November, we had our
first-ever Diwali online celebration that was filled with colour, songs and
dances. Finally, our recent inaugural online K2 and Year 6 Graduation made
my heart soar with pride as we saw work featured and individual speeches
delivered by our first batch of graduates.

We have achieved so many milestones together within our first year in Campus
Rangers International School. Therefore, let us together continue to strive for
excellence, fulfilling your greatest potential and look forward to an even
better year of achievements ahead!

Regards,

Lisa Yoon
