ping town settled in the 1700s and incorporated in the 1880s, Pocomoke
now houses the Delmarva Discovery Center, the historic MarVa Theater,

nature trails, and a riverfront park with outdoor amphitheater. The MarVa
hosts a variety of live performances, movies and shows.The Delmarva Dis-
covery Center & Museum is now home to a live river otter exhibit where
you can see daily feedings.
Take a river tour to see eagles and turtles. Afterwards, enjoy great water-
front dining. Pocomoke City is in close proximity to the Pocomoke River
State Forest and Park, which offers camping, canoeing, kayaking and nature

bicycling, however; it is prohibited throughout the rest of the town with
the exception of the skate park. Beginning on the Saturday of Memorial
Day weekend through Labor Day, skateboarding is permitted between
the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. of the same day. During Springfest
and Sunfest (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), skateboarding is
permitted between 2:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. of the same day. Outside of
the summer season, skateboarding is permitted on the boardwalk with no
time restrictions. Stunts and tricks are not allowed on the boardwalk.

SLEEPING

Please do not sleep in any vehicle within the city limits of Ocean City. Sleep-
ing on the beach is also prohibited between the hours of 10 p.m. through
6 a.m. Only police and maintenance personnel are permitted on the beach
between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m.
