HOUSE HIGHLIGHTS

Everybody told me being head of house is Enjoy every single moment because it’s honestly for a short
going to be very difficult. I prepared myself period of time
for the year, only to realize that Covid-19 had Make memories be happy and I hope most importantly you
other plans for the year. We had such big plans have fun!
for Aitken, not only from getting first place but Aitken: Together we rise
also to get girls involved in decision-making of the
house so that they feel part of the Aitken family. Reneilwe Lehong
Being in Aitken has bought nothing but happiness. There Head of Aitken
were very happy moments where we introduced the Grade
8s to the house and how cute everybody’s story was or when
we were announced in fourth place for swimming to quite
sad moments where some teachers had to leave. Our house
play, Food Fight, was lucky enough to be one of the last plays
that was on stage just before lockdown started. The talented
writers of this play, Oratile Mothibe and Ruby Lutwama also
did a fine job with the directing.
Overall Aitken has made me the happiest Girls’ High girl
ever. I couldn’t have asked for a better house. I wish there
were more events during the year where we could have
done better. After lockdown began, Aiken took part in the
Inter-house Step Challenge and we came out on top. I’m
proud of my house and I hope they carry on with the same
spirit in the future and keep pushing till the end. No rest
until first place, right?

Athlone is and always will be Red Hot! Athlone spirit never dies. In house assembly, the house that

me is what makes Duncan special, as we have built a
strong foundation on which we will build our house of
excellence. All those who have the privilege of wearing
