This past year, PHSG’s one hundred and fifteenth year, has come and gone all too quickly. It proved to be an emotional
year as the school community suffered some great losses. However, we trust that you will enjoy sharing in some of our
successes and celebrations too. There are far too many people to thank individually but special credit must go to all the
staff, girls and photographers for their contributions.

Mrs Albertyn and her family swam the Midmar again this year. Not only
did she place third in her age group, but her family also swam, gaining
second place in the family race. She and her daughter, Kaitlyn, also swam
the eight mile race for Pink Drive while her husband swam sixteen miles
for the DUCT charity. Miss Homveld also took on the eight mile Pink
Drive race, a goal of hers for many years. She completed all eight races
over the two days and, in doing so, raised funds and awareness for the
conservation of South African wildlife. We are very proud of both of these
teachers for achieving these excellent results.
Congratulations went to Ms Greenwood who became engaged in
February. We welcomed Ms Hildegard Jacobs, teaching Mathematics,
