Founders Message
We are extremely happy to communicate with you through the annual report 2019 -20 of
department of Computer Science & Engineering especially this year there are plethora of
achievements. This academic year has been quite eventful for the institute as it received awards
and recognitions which have given a great impetus to the institution and it strives to secure a
place in the world rankings in the near future.
It is heartening to note that in the Department of CSE this year several initiatives were taken
strengthening the teaching learning process, expanding the research facilities and infrastructure.
We are proud to note that the faculty members have strived hard to publish papers in SCI and
Scopus indexed journals and also filed patents. We also congratulate all the faculty and students
who attained global recognition participating in events outside institute.
It is noteworthy that the department has conducted manymega events comprisingTe chnical Fest,
Coding competitions, Hackathons and workshops. We are extremely happy to mention that the
department strives to achieve the objective of placing all eligible students by conducting
programming training for skilling the students for placements.
We wish all the best for the students who graduated this year, they should take a pledge to serve
the society and nation and be instrumental in fluttering the flag of Alma Mater high.

I am extremely happy to communicate with you through this annual report
2019 -2020 which shows an excellent record of the entire gamut of events,
achievements, accolades of the department of computer science and engineering.
I would like to mention that there is a quiet crisis in Higher Education that runs
deep, and that it has to do with both the quantity and quality. Since this is a stark
reality to explore, the department gives appropriate guidance and opportunities to
the students regarding higher education system.
The department faculty members take every effort in providing value addition and
advanced teaching to upgrade knowledge and giving innovative solutions to the
real-life problems and enhance knowledgebase in emerging areas.
I appreciate that the department strive to train and equip students to get placed in
top multinational corporations by polishing the talent hidden in them. Proud to
that this year 94% of students got placed in a diverse set of industries.
I really congratulate the faculty and students for their achievements this academic
year. The department always tread on a path of access with vivid visions about

04 TEACHING LEARNING
During the academic year 2019-2020,the department initiated the Faculty Effective Teaching by
introducing active learning methods, Problem based learning and Project Based Learning
methods along with traditional methods.

REMEDIAL CLASSES
In this academic year, remedial classes are initiated for the students having backlogs, failures and
absentees in internal assessments. The remedial classes have been conducted every day after the
college hours from 4.45PM-6.45PM at Summer Semester. In Winter Semester ,12.45PM -
7.45PM, classes are conducted in online platform by Google meet.

Computer Science & Engineering faculty members are categorized into various research groups
as Bio Informatics, Intelligent Systems (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning),
Computer Networks and Security, Internet of Things & Cloud computing, Software engineering based
on their research interest and publications. Each research group consists of 10 to 15 faculty members
which is led by senior faculty member in the department.

The Problem solving is the process of finding a solution to difficult or complex issues.The

9.3 FACULTY - INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
In this academic year 2019-2020, our faculty Faculty Trained
members are encouraged to attend different
training programs like Infosys, Cyber Ops, UI
Path for Remote Process Automation, CISCO
CCNA and Wipro Talent Next. During
trained from Infosys & Wipro. Our faculty members got trained in Robotic
Learning Experience Program Process Automation from UiPath Academy
Python Faculty Enablement Program. and trained nearly 200 students and offered a
course in this winter semester 2019- 2020.
Faculty members participated in Wipro Talent
Next training in summer(offline Mode) and
Winter(Online Mode) semesters.
Our Faculty members attended International
Conference and workshop conducted by IARI,
Delhi. It was helpful for them to guide projects
which gets nominated for Vishwakarma Awards
by AICTE.

9.4 FACULTY - REFRESH PROGRAMS
Faculty Members are periodically
trained with various Skill set
development programs like
Workshops, Coding Challenges etc.,
During Lockdown period faculty
members are grouped into different
teams to attend FDPs conducted by our
faculty team.
Hands-on training sessions were
carried out in Cyber Security FDP &
Networking FDP. Daily Coding
Challenge motivates many of them to
learn Python.
9.5 FACULTY INTERACTION WITH OTHER INSTITUTES
Apart from FDP and training
programs, our faculty members
have involved in various technical
events especially in this lockdown
period and sharpen their skills by
various online programs such as
webinars, Short Term Training
Programs, Technical Quiz, Debate
etc., Quest for knowledge seeks
the availability of resource even in
pandemic to enhance the career.
