Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Cultural Affairs as
deputy chair-persons, with the Secretary – General of the Office
of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning
(ONEP) serving as its Secretary. The functions and duties of
the National Committee are as follows:

In addition, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife

documents or reports as the nomination dossier, periodic
review, and State of Conservation report. The Department has
to also undertake any other activities that may be assigned
by the World Natural Heritage Sub-Committee and National
Committee for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural
Heritage, Director-General of the Department of National Park,
Wildlife and Plant Conservation acts as the Secretary of the
Sub-Committee and as Assistant Secretary of the National
Committee. He will be sending his representative to attend
the annual general session of the World Heritage Committee
in July every year.
