ทกุ คนต่างมคี วามลับ เรอื งราวทีไมเ่ คยเปดเผย เรอื งราวทีเราเก็บไวเ้ พยี งคนเดยี ว
บางครงั ความลับก็เปนสงิ ทีเรน้ ลับทีเรารูส้ กึ ละอายเมอื ต้องเอือนเอ่ยมนั ออกมา แต่กับอีกหลายๆคน
ความลับก็เปนสงิ ทีทําใหพ้ วกเขาหลงใหล ยงิ เรามคี วามลับมากเท่าไหร่ พวกเขาก็ยงิ อยากทีจะรูม้ นั

เหมอื นดังวา่ ใครก็ตามทีมคี วามลับก็เหมอื นดังไดม้ พี ลังอํานาจ
บางครงั ..ความลับก็ไมใ่ ชเ่ รอื งของเราแต่เปนเรอื งของคนอืน การมอี ยูข่ องมนั ทําใหโ้ ลกนันดลู ึกลับ
มากขนึ บางครงั การตกหลมุ รกั ก็เปนความลับ เพราะเราไมม่ คี วามกล้าหาญพอทีจะเปดเผยมนั ออกมา

Unspeakable Secrets

We all have secrets. Stories never revealed. Stories we keep to ourselves.
Sometimes our secrets are mysterious things that we are too ashamed to recount.

For others, the thought that we hold secrets intrigues them. The more secretive
we become, the more they want to know. It seems that whoever holds a secret

holds the power.
Sometimes secrets don’t belong to us but to others. Their existence makes the world
more secretive. Sometimes falling in love is a secret, never finding the courage to reveal

love’s implications.
“If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them

to the trees.” Kahlil Gibran
What about artists, do they have unspeakable secrets? If so, what? How would an artist
share their innermost secret? Would they disguise it with a smile or a laugh? Would it be

a little secret regarding their personal life, or a big secret that might thrill us?
Their stories may trigger things in your mind that have never been revealed to others

before. Come and see for yourself.

At first, ‘secret’ was a word of sweetness, excitement, and full of curiosity and
positivity to me. However, when I thought it through, ‘secret’ I found that the word
actually has hidden meanings of negativity.
When we get to know the secrets of others, either by chance or on purpose, we may
feel cursed. No matter how hard we try to hide our secrets, it seems impossible to
keep them hidden. As George Orwell said, “If you want to keep a secret, you must
also hide it from yourself”. Sometimes, the curse is similar to deadly diseases that
weakens our life and haunts our soul.

คือความจรงิ และเราเลือกมอบความจรงิ นนั ใหก้ ับใครสกั คน หากใครคนนนั ดแู ล
รกั ษามนั ไวด้ ว้ ยความซอื สตั ย์ “ความลับ” ก็จะกลายเปนความงดงามของ“ความรกั ”

The effect of secrets may be various. If secrets are stories of distress
and agony, they may leave a scar at the depths of our heart. If a secret
is aboutour hidden truth, we may share it with a person who will wholeheartedly

take care of it. Eventually, the secret may become
the beauty of love.

ผมค่อยๆ บรรจง ปดทองคําเปลวลงไปทีละแผน่ ๆ จนใบหนา้ ของเธอค่อยๆ หายลับไปกลายเปน
ภาพสที องขนาดใหญ่ แต่ภายใต้แผน่ ทองคําเปลวนนั ยงั คงเปนความดงี ามของแพทยห์ ญงิ
ท่านนนั ซงึ จะกลายเปนความลับของผมไปตลอดกาล

I have always been drawn into an abstraction of the shining golden colour.
In the Buddhism context, the colour gold represents faith, joy, and peace. However, the
truth behind the gold-leaf is the life, sweat, labor that has driven society from the past
to the present. Like the Thai proverb said, “Apply a golden leaf at the back of a Buddha

image” which means doing good things without expecting others to admire you.

This creation of these artworks was a transformation of truth in different mediums;
from digital to fine art. I began by drawing a female doctor whom

I randomly found photos of on the Internet. Her face looked extremely
exhausted due to her unstoppable mission during the COVID-19 era.
While looking at her image, I was moved. After finishing painting her face,
I carefully applied the gold-leaf, one by one, until her face was fully covered
and disappeared. Nonetheless, the fact remains that underneath the gold-leaf
is the virtue of the female doctor which will become the secret of mine forever.

My previous solo show, ‘Portrait of the Mind’ (2018), depicted a series
of portraits where the subjects were covered with dry and flaky white powder.

This texturized mix is used to enhance their expressions allowing us
to recognize the feeling but hiding the person behind it.

In this revision, I havechanged some elements but their essence will remain intact.
As spectators, we will seek the context and circumstances of art
and personality. For this new set of features, I invite the viewers

to take some distance from themselves, to question the emotional experience
through the contemplation of the represented elements,

their hidden and personal meaning. This is an opportunity to explore
the state between peace and pure feeling exposed.

Roles, status, and rules are deeply rooted in our society. Likewise, “
roles in theatre are written as scripts for actors to perform.

A person playing a ‘hunter’ will express the hunger of a carnivore.
A person playing a ‘victim’ will present their weakness - displaying fear in
order to survive. From time to time, all individuals follow the pattern written

from the past. If someone tries to be different
or violates their roles, they will be condemned and judged as insincere.

Therefore, many times our own true desires and pure inner feelings
are sadly buried and become ‘secret’.

Beauty is secretly hidden around us. But we can encounter it from small and
simple things in our daily life. As we did as a child, we can enjoy playing
in a small clump of wild flowers and on grass all day, as if it was an exciting
adventure in a new world that we had never discovered before.

The secrets of my childhood are full of happiness, fun and excitement.
Whenever I had a chance, I would go outside to do the things that adults forbid.
Things like going into the forest, hunting animals, fishing, playing
in the river and hanging out with friends on holidays. When I arrived home,
I couldn't tell my parents the truth, so I kept it to myself.

Speaking personally, I don't think ‘secret’ is a negative word.
Sometimes I made up a secret to get the attention of others.
Sometimes I have created secrets to protect myself from others.
And sometimes I keep secrets to end long conversations with others.

I tightly locked my secrets into the deepest and darkest basement “
of my heart. I kept it secret until I felt suffocated. Sometimes when

I cannot tolerate it, I would shout it out through my eyes.
While looking up at the sky, I can feel that I already released
my heavy secrets though the floating cloud, empty sky, moon, stars,
and sun. At that moment, I can hear whispers of the wind in

response to the emptiness and silence of my mind.

Orange tulips represent hidden love. It is a secret of two people who are deeply
connected spiritually. A little butterfly flies and brings love to

the wind. Let the love and the desires of our hearts go to each other.
Even though the bodies are apart, hearts are bound together.

รตั ติกาลใหเ้ ราอยากออกไปค้นหา

In Greek mythology, Venus is a goddess of love and beauty, symbolized by
a rose. One day, Cupid, her son, gave a rose to Harpokratis the God of Silence

so that he would keep the secrets
of Venus. However, the secret has its strength and power that made people
curious. Therefore, I painted an exploding rose whose petals are blown away,

similar to secrets that desire to reveal itself to people.
The door of secrets is about to open to the darkness of nighttime

and invites us to discover the mystery.
