Orlando Health Medical Group Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) was established in 2011 as a distinct legal entity of Orlando Health. Through its early existence, OHMG met challenges to keep up with the dramatic growth in the employed physician practices, which today include more than 1,400 physicians and 450 advanced practice providers. Growth has been both organic and through acquisitions. Orlando Health Physician Associates, OHMG’s network of adult and pediatric primary care doctors, offers same-day and virtual appointments so patients have convenient access to comprehensive care. For even the most complex cases, OHMG delivers an elevated standard of access, expertise and experience with board-certified specialists, next-level treatments and leading-edge technology. With over $600 million in net revenue, OHMG has more than 200 practices spread across eight counties with a strong representation in almost every specialty, including cardiology, vascular, orthopedics, oncology, digestive health, neurology, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, bone marrow transplant, over 30 pediatric subspecialties, critical care medicine, women’s health, primary care and the largest hospitalist program in Florida. Nurses Shared Governance, now known as Professional Governance, is a framework that supports, guides, directs and regulates the practice of nursing to achieve optimal outcomes. Orlando Health nursing leaders believe the patient is the central figure and clinical nurses, at the point of care, are the experts who impact nursing practice. Approximately eight years ago, executive nurse leaders implemented a professional governance councilor structure to facilitate practice improvements at the unit, hospital and system levels. This formal structure pulls expertise, knowledge and skills from all practice settings and ensures efficient functioning and collaboration among nurses. At Orlando Health, five councils form the professional governance structure. 14

Orlando Health has experienced eight consecutive years of strong revenue growth and operating performance and is well-positioned for future growth. During fiscal year 2023, the System had inpatient discharge growth of 5.2% and outpatient growth of 29.1%. The operating margin for fiscal year 2023 was 8.1% and total operating revenue increased 15.9% to $6.1 billion. Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center With 808 acute care beds, Orlando Health ORMC is among the largest acute care facilities in the region and serves as one of Florida’s six major teaching hospitals. Located in downtown Orlando, it has continuously served the Central Florida community since its founding in 1918. The hospital provides intensive and progressive-care services focused on cardiovascular, neurosciences, digestive health, oncology, orthopedics and trauma. Orlando Health ORMC is recognized for excellence with a Verified Burn Center, an accredited rehabilitation institute, and program certifications for hip and knee joint replacement, spine surgery and comprehensive stroke. It is among Florida’s 10 Level I Trauma Centers, and one of the busiest in the state and nation. Orlando Health has the only hospital in the area licensed for air transport from the scene of accidents across 15 counties in a 100-mile radius. The hospital’s exemplary care efforts have consistently earned Orlando Health ORMC quality and safety ratings, including most recently as a 2023-24 Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report — including a top-50 national ranking in Cardiology, Heart and Vascular Surgery — and as a 2023 Top Teaching Hospital from the patient safety advocates at The Leapfrog Group. In Fall 2023, The Leapfrog Group also awarded the hospital with a fifth consecutive “A” Safety Grade. Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Located two blocks from Orlando Health ORMC on the downtown Orlando campus, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has 156 licensed beds and provides specialized care to children across the region. Next-level pediatric services are delivered by a comprehensive staff, which includes pediatric subspecialty physicians. The hospital’s Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department and Trauma Center is the first and only facility in Central Florida to provide the highest level of emergency trauma care exclusively to children — treating more than 1,300 trauma patients annually. Orlando Health Arnold Palmer has achieved Level I Children’s Surgical Verification and Level I Trauma Verification by the American College of Surgeons. It is among only 20 pediatric hospitals in the nation — and the only facility in Florida — to achieve this level of excellence. The hospital also is “Magnet” designated for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. For 14 consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report has recognized Orlando Health Arnold Palmer among the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals. The hospital also has been selected as one of the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare for 2023 by Becker’s Healthcare. 20

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies Located on the downtown Orlando campus, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies provides programs and services focused on the unique needs of women and newborns. Of its 350 beds, 142 are in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), making Orlando Health Winnie Palmer one of the largest NICUs in the nation. Welcoming nearly 14,000 babies each year, the facility is one of the busiest obstetrical centers in the United States. The hospital also is a Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center for the state of Florida, whereby high risk obstetrical patients and their infants are referred to our specialists. Among its specialty programs is a successful in utero surgery program to repair spina bifida, a spinal defect developed by the fetus during the early stages of pregnancy. It is the first and only hospital in Florida to offer this unique procedure and meets an important need across the state and Southeast U.S. Orlando Health Winnie Palmer is “Magnet” designated for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care, has earned Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission, the first in Florida to receive this designation, and was included in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 rankings of Best Children’s Hospitals, rated among the nation’s top 50 neonatology programs. The hospital has been recognized among the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare for 2023 by Becker’s Healthcare. Orlando Health Winnie Palmer is now home to the Orlando Health Cancer Institute’s Breast Care Center and Gynecologic Cancer Center downtown locations, bringing those sensitive health services into a dedicated women-centered environment.
