THE EXTRAORDINARY BENTLEY
WEEKEND
Bentley Basel, Bentley Zug and Bentley Zurich joined forces to stage
a two-day extravaganza celebrating every facet of our brand.
The event, which was held in the Classic Centre Safenwil, Switzerland, saw 354 guests gather for an exciting
programme showcasing everything our brand stands for – luxury, performance and craftsmanship. Highlights included
Bentley’s Chief Designer, Darren Day, Head of Interior Design, presenting our breath-taking imminent new arrival in
2D, and an enlightening talk by Richard Charlesworth on the history of the brand. There was also a demonstration of
the craftsmanship that goes into our cars, and customers could experience first-hand the processing of the valuable
material and creation of a handmade interior of a Bentley. The weekend was also the latest stopping point for the
Extraordinary Roadshow, with all current models available for guests to test-drive, take part in driver safety training
and practice slalom driving. The Pre-Owned exhibition also proved to be incredibly popular, attracting large crowds on
both days.
There really was something for everyone. Other attractions included guided tours through the Classic Car Museum
showcasing several Bentley exhibits and the driving simulator offering a virtual driving experience in Bentley cars.
There were also a colourful displays featuring our own Branded Goods, and smaller displays by the Retailers’ partners
– a watch exhibition by Breitling, a design fashion exhibition by Lu Couture, design furniture by Das Konzept and a
champagne bar at the Club lounge courtesy of Louis Roederer. Of course, there was the usual Bentley hospitality
available throughout the weekend, serving a variety of traditional English food and drinks for guests to savour.
Martina Merki, Marketing Manager at Bentley Zürich, said: “The event was a big success and we got very good
feedback. The customers and visitors really enjoyed it, and the fantastic location and the relaxed ambience helped to
create a truly memorable experience.”

Bentley Marbella held a lavish

More exclusive gatherings continued to generate excitement in the region.
BENTLEY MARBELLA
Bentley Marbella held a lavish preview at the Finca Bersaya, a dining and party hotspot with stunning views. The
event had a multi-cultural feel, with 36 guests from Spain, France, Great Britain, Russia and the Ukraine savouring the
opportunity to learn more about our imminent new arrival. The evening was a resounding success, and the feedback to
this latest addition to our stable was overwhelmingly positive.
BENTLEY CASABLANCA
The sumptuous Japanese Restaurant Loli was the venue for the guests for Bentley Casablanca’s lavish 2D Preview. As
well as a bespoke seven-course menu, which was served on the private terrace, the small and exclusive gathering also
has the opportunity for a tantalising glimpse of our imminent new arrival.
Philipp Heine, Bentley Europe, said: “The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Most of the guests knew each
other and Bentley Casablanca even managed to reunite two friends who haven’t seen each other since their school
days. Having seen the new model, three guests discussed who would be the first one to own the car in Morocco and
the discussion went on for quite some time… the race is on.”
BENTLEY HAMBURG
The Theater im Zimmer in Hamburg Rothenbaum was the sensational venue for Bentley Hamburg’s 2D Preview.
As well as an exquisite dinner expertly prepared by Patrick Wilth and his team from Kitchensurfer Catering, guests
also enjoyed Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Champagne. The event was a resounding success with many of those
attending expressing their interest in our imminent
new arrival.

ENNSTAL CLASSIC
The old-timer classic rally returned last week, and did not disappoint.
One of Europe’s premier classic events saw hundreds of automotive enthusiast’s flock to central Austria for the
renowned Ennstal Classic.
The three-day event, which is open to any sports car built before 1973, featured a strong showing from Bentley
Europe. Our old-timers once again put in solid performances, treating the crowds to the wonderful sight of our cars
being put through their paces as they raced through the picturesque Dachstein-massif, the valleys of the Schladminger
Tauern and the serpentine rivers of the Sölkpass.
The stars were out in force this year, with American actor Patrick Dempsey and former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber
getting behind the wheel to join in the action.
Bentley was at the centre of the action throughout. Apart from providing VIP shuttles, Bentayga was used as
the rally’s ‘Schlusswagen’ and two of our heritage cars took part in the rally – the 1954 R Type Continental, driven by
Robert Engstler and Dr Hans Peter Schützinger, and the Team Blower, piloted by Le Mans legend Derek Bell and his
son Sebastian.
Team Bentley certainly did not disappoint with Robert Engstler, Regional Director – Europe, finishing in 35th position
out of 210 participants, and
a remarkable sixth place in the 1951-1960 age class.
Congratulations to Robert and all of the team.

Previews of our new arrival did not disappoint in Moscow and Istanbul.
BENTLEY ST PETERSBURG
More than 70 people flocked to an exclusive Chinese restaurant in St Petersburg for an exclusive preview event of
our imminent new arrival. The 75 VIP guests attended the event at the Moscow Beijing and were welcomed in the
Bentley welcome zone complete with interactive press-wall, champagne bar and rich summer fruit decorations before
enjoying a very special three-course gala dinner.
They then had the opportunity to sample the Bentley configuration zone, a mood-video and life music by band Defour
before being invited into the special Bentley lounge to see a private cinema screening of our upcoming new addition.
BENTLEY ISTANBUL
A last-minute change of venue due to localised flooding couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the Bentley Istanbul
2D Preview.
The guests enjoyed a three-course lunch with champagne at the renowned Soho House hotel in Istanbul, before being
treated to an engaging presentation about our imminent new arrival.

BENTLEY ALMATY
One of Kazakhstan’s best restaurants – Parmigiano – was the venue for Bentley Almaty’s 2D Preview event
In the warm evening air, 15 guests enjoyed cocktails and drinks individually prepared for them by the bartender
before experiencing the delights of a tasting bar and an exquisite meal. And once their appetites and thirst had been
quenched, Temir Temirkhanov, Product Manager from Bentley Russia, presented the unique images of our new arrival.
The feedback for the car was overwhelming, even drawing a round of applause at the end of the presentation.
BENTLEY KRASNOYARSK
Bentley Krasnoyarsk’s luxurious showroom was the venue for its 2D preview of our imminent new arrival.
Of course, this was a Bentley event, so the Retailer spent a lot of time transforming the space into a space fitting
for such an occasion – panoramic windows were fully covered with black velvet curtains, a band played smooth jazz
while a prominent chef from Krasnoyarsk cooked delicacies in the open kitchen.
After enjoying the very best four-course dining experience, guests were treated to a presentation of the new
addition to our ranks, and the car’s new exterior design left many speechless.
One of the guests said: “It was such an incredible evening. We own one Bentley and were excited to be on the
presentation of the new one. The secrecy of the event surprised us – we really enjoyed being one of the first clients
to see Bentley’s future. We are already looking forward to the 3D presentation.”

3D PREVIEW EVENTS IN CREWE
CW1 House is the fitting venue for the first reveals of our new arrival.
CW1 House in Crewe has been the focal point for hundreds of Retailers, customers and prospects as they
witnessed a sensational 3D preview of our new arrival.
To build suspense, and maintain confidentiality, the exterior windows of our showcase showroom were specially
‘blacked-out’. Once inside, guests were treated to an exquisite welcome, which included light refreshments and an
opportunity to walk around Continentals from the past.
After enjoying an in-depth presentation from senior figures involved in the project outlining the key aspects of the
car, guests were ushered into a separate room for the breathtaking reveal.
Dramatic music played as an image of the car filled a screen through a set of lightly opaque curtains, and then the
moment of truth was there – the curtains rose to reveal the new arrival in all its glory to an appreciative audience.
Guests were then invited to familiarise themselves with the interior and exterior of the car, and to talk to those
involved in making it a reality.
One European customer said: “I’ve been asked to sum up the car in three words. That’s really simple – I. Want.
One. The way it looks is sensational, and I’ve already specified my options. Bravo Bentley.”

BENTLEY GOLF IN COPENHAGEN
Bentley Copenhagen played a starring role in a local golf event.
The event was organised by wealthy locals, who have an established network and meet monthly for networking and
events, and the Retailer seized the opportunity to get involved by making a Bentayga Diesel available for test drives.
As well as the car, a Bentley representative held a brief presentation about the Bentley brand and future models.
There were also Bentley golf gifts for the winners, with every participant receiving a goodie bag with chocolates, the
Bentayga brochure and the latest edition of the Bentley magazine.

This week the wait was finally over – the new Continental GT broke
cover – and Retailers across our Network threw open their doors to
celebrate our new addition to the Bentley ranks.
BENTLEY RIGA organised a special cocktail evening for 20 guests at one of the city’s hottest hotspots – Bar
XIII. The Bentley associated drinks – the Speed Six, Be Extraordinary, and The Flying ‘B’ – proved to be especially
popular in the build-up to the reveal. After an introductory speech by Sales Manager Peteris Spredzis from
Bentley Riga and Inessa Schell on behalf of Bentley Motors, it was time for the big moment. The feedback was
overwhelmingly positive and the evening resulted in two deposits being taken.
The reaction to the new Continental GT was just as favourable in Germany where BENTLEY FRANKFURT and
BENTLEY MANNHEIM held a joint event at Frankfurt’s TNT Palais for 34 guests.
Not to be outdone, BENTLEY DÜSSELDORF converted its showroom into a venue fitting to welcome our new
addition, and the 95 guests enjoyed a summer barbecue with lounge music before the big reveal.
BENTLEY HANNOVER adopted the same approach and welcomed 42 guests in their showroom, while BENTLEY
HAMBURG threw a rooftop barbecue at the prestigious Design Rooftop Loft for the 55 guests in attendance. The
seventh-floor setting wowed those present almost as much as the car, As well as a speech by Richard Maddock,
highlights included displays by affinity partners BEEFER, SKIN GIN and BENTLEY CIGARS. The results speak for
themselves – three cars were sold there and then.

BENTLEY VIENNA hired a private cinema for 100 guests to enjoy an exclusive reveal of the car, where again the
feedback was positive, with many expressing an interest in the new model.
BENTLEY MUNICH and BENTLEY NUERNBERG held a joint event with Philip Schoch in attendance. Sixty guests
enjoyed an exceptional evening at the historic Tresor Vinum winery.
BENTLEY BERLIN saw 82 guests attend its two-day event at its showroom for a high-class barbeque event,
hosted by General Manager Karsten Meyer and his sales team. Guests loved the review and particularly enjoyed the
updated styling and technology. Karsten Meyer commented: “On the road to public launch at the Frankfurt Motor
Show, the preview event pushed the interest in the new model. The inside views from the ‘creators’ were very
helpful and the video story, cut and quality are superb. Together with the 1:8 scale model, we can bridge the time
for the first dealer demonstrator delivery.”
Meanwhile launch events held by BENTLEY KIEV, BENTLEY GENEVA and BENTLEY ZURICH were equally
positive.
BENTLEY DRESDEN transformed its showroom into a summer wonderland, complete with flowers and candles.
As well as the reveal of the car, the event featured a speech by Holm Hübler, Brand Manager at Bentley Dresden,
as well as displays of Bentayga W12, including its Sports Exhaust and Load Assist Tray, Continental GTC V8 S with
21-inch Limited Edition Black Elegant Wheels, Continental Supersports, including its 21-inch 10-Spoke Sports Alloy
Wheel and Continental GT Speed Black Line with its Blackline Specification.
The Retailer used the arrival of the new Continental GT to showcase every aspect of its Bentley range. Other
highlights included the new Continental GT Model Car (1:8) and items from the Bentley Collection.
Sandra Naumburg, who attended the evening, commented: “The Broadcasting Day was a unique opportunity to
build an Aftersales event around the presentation of the new Continental GT model, while displaying the new
accessories allowed us to develop conversations on Aftersales products while demonstrating the products on
site, ie. by revving up the W12 engine with a Sports Exhaust. The evening culminated in the breathtaking film
presentation of the new Continental GT, leaving the guests with amazing images and even more expectations
for the live presentation of the new model. Demand in the new model has been intense, and we are enjoying a
lot of interest.”
Hollywood A-lister Jean Reno took time out from his busy schedule to join BENTLEY PARIS in welcoming the new
Continental GT to the Bentley fold. The renowned actor joined 134 other guests at the event, which took place in a
cinema located on the famous and affluent Champs Elysées. The cinema belonged to famous French movie director
Claude Lelouch, and was the perfect setting for those present to revel in the car’s graceful, sleek yet muscular
aesthetics. After enjoying a champagne reception in the beautiful rotunda hall, the guests were treated to speeches
by Bentley Paris Brand Manager Jerémie Deroode and Director of Product and Marketing, Christophe Georges,
before the film was screened. After the film, the attendees were then taken back to the rotunda for a reveal of the
model car, champagne and canapés.
BENTLEY STUTTGART held its event at the world-famous Motorworld Böblingen building. After a speech by
Philipp Noack, the 75 guests were treated to an intimate screening of the new Continental GT film.
A series of extraordinary events were conducted across Russia on August 29 to celebrate. One took place at the
very heart of Moscow in the luxury restaurant Baccarat. Around 80 guests were invited by BENTLEY MOSCOW to
see the film of the new Continental GT. The Russian VIP clients were welcomed by Dr Andreas Offermann, Board
Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Robert Engstler, Regional Director – Europe, and Marco van Aalten,
Head of Bentley Russia. Marco van Aalten commented: “We were pleased to see so many guests at the event – all
of them full of inspiration and interest towards our new product. During the film presentation, the clients were
quiet and even motionless – like during the world premiere of a film masterpiece somewhere at the Cannes Film
Festival. We have received very positive feedback from the customers who were inspired by the new design and
new technical features of the car, as well as by the overall new interpretation of the legendary Bentley.”

THE LAKES GRAND TOUR
Lugano and the surrounding area were the stunning location for a tour
through four of Europe’s most scenic mountain passes: San Gottardo,
Susten, Grimsel and Novena.
The one-day event saw Bentley Lugano join forces with The Lakes GT club to create an exclusive driving experience.
The Lakes GT is an exclusive supercar club born in 2016 on the banks of Lake Lugano. The club brings together
supercar owners who share the same great passion for driving, allowing its participants to experience unmatched
experiences through stunning landscapes and thrilling circuits, or luxurious gourmet events, all in a tight and
exclusive context.
The highlights of the day were many, and included test drives, a lunch break at the Grimsel pass, a parade along
Ceresio Lake and a display of the cars at the prestigious Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola.
Ronnie Kessel, from Bentley Lugano, said: “The event was a resounding success and we even had a journalist
attend in a GT3.
“This concept appeals to our exclusive clientele, who want to enjoy a one-of-a-kind event, and is perfect for us to reach
out to our customers and introduce them to the new Continental GT.”

VIP BROADCASTING DAY
Bentley Moscow-Volgogradskiy held a closed show to present the
new Continental GT.
The event, which was held in the renowned Balzi Rossi Restaurant, saw dozens of guests treated to a presentation
of the new car.
Bentley director of Moscow-Volgogradskiy, Sergey Meliukh, said: “It’s important for us that our customers are the first
to see the future of Bentley. This stunning car sets new standards for luxury and dynamics, and is characterised by the
highest quality of performance of every detail to give incredible driving pleasure. We are already accepting pre-orders,
and demand among our customers is great.”

AUTOROPA RACING DAYS
Bentley Stockholm took to the track for two days to create an exclusive
trackday experience for its customers and guests.
The Retailer’s annual Autoropa Racing Days event was held at the legendary Ring Knutstorp Motor Racing Track, and
the first day saw those in attendance spend the first day putting their cars through their paces.
The second day saw the circuit thrown open to the public as thousands flocked to the circuit to witness the racing at
Sweden’s largest and most spectacular sportscar show.
There was plenty to see apart from the racing, and Bentley Stockholm had off-road test drives in Bentayga while a
1:8 scale model of new Continental GT and a Supersports were on display.
Aside from the cars, there was also the very best dining and an exquisite dinner on the Friday and Saturday.
Erik Green from Bentley Stockholm said: “The event was a resounding success. The scale model was very well
received by guests, and I received a lot of interest in the new car.
“We have already begun planning for next year’s event and are looking forward to making it bigger and better
than ever.”

BENTLEY VIENNA GOLF SUCCESS
As one of the main sponsors of the magazine Golf Guide, Bentley Vienna
was delighted to be invited to the publication’s golf tournament.
At the event held at Golfclub Schloss Schönborn, the Retailer ensured maximum exposure for Bentley Motors by
placing a Bentley Continental GT Supersports car at the beginning of the course, next to hole one. As the 20 golfers
completed the course, they were again greeted with the car at the 18th hole.
The golf tournament was a great success. The attendees were captivated by the beauty of the Continental GT
Supersports – particularly its impressive 710hp. Bentley Vienna gathered all the contact details of everyone who
attended the event and it is hoped that some sales contracts will be secured.

BENTLEY BERLIN IAA EXPERIENCE
While the Frankfurt Motor Show took place, Bentley Berlin treated VIP
guests to its IAA White Party and an unforgettable motorsport experience.
The 11 Bentley customers and prospects were welcomed to the White Party at the Steigenberger Grand Hotel
Frankfurter Hof, where the new Continental GT was presented to them. They then embraced the spirit of Bentley by
viewing the new car along with other Bentley models at the IAA in Frankfurt the next day.
The guests were then treated to a very special weekend, where they attended the ninth race of the Blancpain
GT Series at the Nürburgring, where they watched the Bentley Motorsport Team in action on both the Saturday
and Sunday. On the Saturday evening, the guests were welcomed to the resplendent Schlosshotel Kurfürstliches
Amtshaus by Bentley Berlin General Manager Karsten Meyer. The highlight was a wonderful five-course gourmet
dinner. The special weekend was a great success, where the customers and prospects were able to enjoy the racing
atmosphere and embrace the spirit of Bentley in the Motorsport hospitality suite. The guests also enjoyed a visit to
the pits and completed test drives in a Continental GT and Bentayga. One of the guests expressed a serious interest
in a Continental GT Convertible V8.
Karsten Meyer said: “It was a good idea to combine Frankfurt and Nürburgring. Seeing the all-new Continental GT
with its sportier character and then living the Bentley Motorsport heritage at the Blancpain GT Series made the
character of the event.”
One of the guests commented: “This was our first visit to a motorsport event, and I was so impressed by the racing
atmosphere, which was relaxed, but determined. We had no idea of how much work it takes to prepare a racing car!

BENTLEY DESIGN PARTY
The 5-Star Hotel Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof hosted a spectacular event:
The Bentley Design Party.
To celebrate the arrival of our new Bentley Continental GT 544 guests were hosted over both evenings (despite a
planned number of 400) attended the special reveal of our new arrival. Robert Engstler, Regional Director – Europe,
welcomed the guests who, despite the rain and windy conditions applauded the car. Stefan Sielaff, Bentley Design
Director and Darren Day, Head of Interior Design, were on hand to explain the stunning design and intricate details of
the new GT.
The reaction from both retailers and customers: What a great event and, even more important, what a great car.
One customer stood in the pouring rain, glazing over the surface of the car and mumbled: I have never seen such a
beautiful car whilst his wife was taking pictures of every angle of the car.

BENTLEY FRANKFURT IAA
STAND PARTY
Bentley Frankfurt took the opportunity to celebrate the great reception
for the new Continental GT at the IAA by holding a ‘stand party’ at the
motorshow.
The retailer created a special atmosphere by playing music on its stand and welcoming guests with refreshing drinks
and delicious canapes.
Of course, the focus was all on the new Continental GT, and Bentley Technical Expert Frederic Dams presented the
car to the enthusiastic attendees. They were also treated to inspirational and informative speeches from Mr Schlick
from Bentley Europe and Mr Bach from Bentley Frankfurt.
The event was a success – plenty of positive attention was focused onto the new Continental GT and one sale
contract was signed, which was a great result.

RIDING HIGH AT A POLO EVENT
As one of the main sponsors of Copenhagen Polo Club, Bentley Copenhagen
played a leading role at a recent tournament.
The resplendent Kokkedal Castle was the setting for the event, where there was plenty of intense action as the
international players competed for the trophy. The Retailer ensured maximum exposure for Bentley Motors by
displaying a Bentayga Diesel and a Flying Spur, and a Team Bentley polo team vied for the top prize.
The polo tournament was a great success, and the attendees were highly impressed by the Bentley cars on display.
The VIP guests included some invited customers and prospects, and they all enjoyed a tasty lunch and a cool glass
of champagne.

BENTLEY COLLECTION IN LUXURY
SHOPPING MALL
Bentley Istanbul has embarked on an exciting initiative that places our branded
goods in one of the country’s biggest, and most luxurious, shopping malls.
The move has involved placing a glass cabinet on the most luxurious floor of the Istinyepark Shopping Mall in Istanbul.
It is already proving to be a success – more than 6.300 visitors have seen the cabinet each day since its introduction.
This new approach is part of the Retailer’s efforts to promote branded goods – it is also enjoying success through its
exhibit of Branded goods in its showroom hospitality area.
Ebru Belen, from Bentley Istanbul, said: “We direct people who want to see more of our products to the mall to
increase the traffic. We think that this area in the shopping centre will provide added value in terms of the brand’s
image and developing new prospects.”

THE ART OF MOSCOW
Bentley Russia supported the fifth Cosmoscow, Russia’s only international
fair for contemporary art, which took place in September in Gostiny Dvor
– a location at the very heart of Moscow.
Cosmoscow can be ranked alongside such art events as Art Basel or FIAC in Paris, and more than 50 local and
international galleries presented the works of contemporary artists.
The main exhibit of Bentley at the Cosmoscow fair was the ultra-luxurious SUV – the Bentayga Mulliner – which
celebrated its Russian premiere. The exclusive Continental GT V8 Magenta Edition, complete with Duo-Tone exterior
paintwork in bright Magenta and exquisite Glacier White designed by Mulliner, was also presented at the exhibition.
Margarita Pushkina, Founding Director of Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair and Founder of the
Cosmoscow Foundation for Contemporary Art, said: “We are glad that Bentley, the legendary English brand, is
a partner of the fair this year. Our co-operation is not accidental. It is founded on common views on traditions,
innovations and attention to detail, which are crucial for creating and judging a work of art.”
Marco van Aalten, Head of Bentley Russia, said: “The Bentley stand was a real point of attraction for the potential

NEW ROADSHOW LAUNCHES AT
MONACO BOAT SHOW
Monaco Boat Show saw the launch of the first in a series of exciting
roadshows for the new Continental GT.
The Monaco Yacht Show, one of the biggest and most prestigious in the yachting industry, was the glamourous setting
for the first stop of the new Continental GT Road Show.
More than 8.000 people saw the car, which was displayed in a prominent position in the Car Deck area – a dedicated
area for showcasing new cars during the yacht show – and it obviously left a lasting impression. The car’s combination
of performance, luxury and comfort saw Bentley Monaco generate 20 leads, an impressive figure.

CONTINENTAL GT IN HAMBURG
Hamburg was the next stop on the new Continental GT Roadshow and
Bentley Hamburg’s innovative approach generated a huge amount of
interest in the car and the brand as a whole.
The Retailer was keen to promote the city’s close ties with the fashion world – many famous designers such as Jette
Joop, Jil Sander and Karl Lagerfeld began their careers in Hamburg – and this initiative was carefully designed to
unlock this hidden potential and make it more visible.
To this end, Bentley Hamburg created a fashion-themed celebration for the car for 300 guests, which was held in the
renowned Barlach Halle K (Art Gallery). This beautiful location attracts those who are looking for carefully selected
designer pieces in Hamburg, and its large and airy setting was the perfect venue for the event. As a contrast to the
solid concrete floor and the brick walls, a decent and inviting space was created. Over more than 280 square metres,
Bentley Hamburg presented top-notch designer labels.
The initiative saw the new Continental GT share the stage with many fashion brands, which allowed guests to enjoy
an exclusive preview of the car as they browsed the designer labels on display. Bentley Hamburg’s knowledgeable staff
were on hand to offer insights into the car as they engaged with customers and prospects. Of course, no fashion
event would be complete without items from the Bentley Collection being on display, and as usual they generated a
huge amount of positive feedback from those present. The Retailer supported this activity by posting on Facebook, by
creating a print advert that was published in this month’s TANGO Magazine Hamburg, and by sending out an eDM to
all its customers.

TATLER BALL
Bentley Moscow has played a starring role in one of Russian society’s most
prestigious events – the renowned Tatler Ball of the Debutantes.
The Retailer, the event’s official automotive partner, provided a Bentayga and Flying Spur V8 S for chauffeuring
services to ensure that the 10 debutantes arrived at the red carpet in front of the Column Hall of the House of Unions
in style.
The Tatler Ball is an important annual lifestyle event during which young debutantes make their first ‘official
appearance’ in the high society, and the event was the perfect platform for raising the profile of the Retailer
and the brand.
The Ball promotes indigenous Russian culture of the 19th century by re-constructing the unique atmosphere of
Alexander Pushkin (Russia’s most famous poet) and Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the composer who created such musical
masterpieces as Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.

The eagerly anticipated new Continental GT proved to be a popular draw in the German capital, as 80 Bentley owners
and hot prospects flocked to Bentley Berlin’s showroom to see the car for themselves. The Retailer pulled out all the
stops to ensure the event was memorable and decorated the showroom with 11 new Continental GT printed detail
shots on its backdrop wall, which were produced specifically for the reveal. Other nice touches included mood lighting
with the floor spotlights corresponding to the new GT’s paint work, and a Naim for Bentley in-house audio unit.
Further highlights included a welcome presentation by General Manager Karsten Meyer, a champagne reception and
Amuse Gueule – a small savory appetiser – which was served before the main Flying Dinner.
Karsten Meyer said: “I am pleased that we finally had the opportunity to reveal and show the real car to owners and
hot prospects. This will give us a good opportunity to fill the order book in preparation for 2018. The feedback has
been extremely positive so far, and we reached out to, and connected with, a much younger audience. Our customers
cannot wait to test-drive the new Continental GT.” The Retailer also used the occasion as a fitting platform to
introduce Bentley Berlin’s new Aftersales Manager, Service Manager and Parts Manager.
BENTLEY VIENNA
Bentley Vienna played host to 100 guests as the Retailer showcased the new Continental GT in its showroom.
But the night was about much more than just the car, and highlights included a presentation, music and singing by
saxophonist Mr Jengis and an Austrian culinary specialty – Ganslessen (roasted goose cooked in wine). There was
even an open fire outside, where those present could enjoy roast potatoes and a hot wine punch in the relaxed and
convivial surroundings. The car generated a phenomenal amount of interest, with one customer saying: “I am so
fascinated by the new design. I personally love the crystal headlights. The new Continental GT is absolutely beautiful.”

Bentley Singen filled its showroom with diamonds and white flowers to create a fitting venue to showcase our new
Continental GT.
The event saw 24 guests visit the showroom to enjoy a flying buffet before having the opportunity to see every detail
of the car close up.
Those present were impressed with the car’s unique blend of performance, luxury and styling. But most of all, they
loved its technology. Mr Sinivaara, a Bentley customer of long standing, said: “I can’t wait to drive this new Bentley.
It looks more than promising and from what I have heard today, it comes with all the features that take automotive
luxury to a new level.”
Mr Schulz agreed. He said: “A true Bentley for the modern generation: progressive design, significant luxury and
state-of-the-art technology”
The event was a resounding success and the Retailer presented a rose to every female customer as they left.
BENTLEY DÜSSELDORF
The new Continental GT Roadshow hit Düsseldorf and took the city’s fashion district by storm.
Bentley Düsseldorf displayed the car in one of the area’s most frequented shopping malls – Sevens – and the
Bentley Boys were on hand to answer questions and showcase the car’s features.
But that was not all. The Retailer also invited 95 customers and prospects to its showroom to savour the car in all its
glory close up.
The food, snacks and champagne ensured that the occasion was a relaxed affair. This approach paid dividends, with the
guests lavishing praise on the car.
Idris Sahim, of Bentley Düsseldorf, said: “The feedback on the car was amazing. Our guests loved the shape of the
new GT and were very impressed by its interior design and comfort. One of many highlights of the car was the
rotating display, and many commented that they were looking forward to driving the car and testing it dynamically.”
This two-pronged approach has definitely paid off and has resulted in many leads and test-drive requests, as well as
two quotes.
BENTLEY PRAGUE
Bentley Prague held an ‘open showroom’ to showcase the new Continental GT and reach out to as many customers
and prospects. More than 35 people took advantage of the offer, and prospects and depositors enjoyed an exclusive,
more detailed viewing separate to the other guests.
Jiří Halousek, Sales Manager for Bentley Prague, said: “I have been with Bentley since 2009 and have witnessed the
launch of Mulsanne, Supersports, the current Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga, and I can honestly say I have
never had such a positive feedback about any Bentley product.
“Every customer liked the car with most of the comments praising the interior design and the quality of the materials.
One feature which drew everyone’s attention is the new Bentley Rotating Display; one of my depositors said: ‘I know
I will not use this feature very often, but I just have to have it... it makes it very Bentley, and very different to
other marques’.
Aside from the car, there was the usual Bentley hospitality complete with finger food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The results speak for themselves: the evening generated two contracts, which we were signed on the spot, with many
more asking for test drives. Consequently, Bentley Prague is sending four people to the First Drive Barcelona event,
and is confident more leads will follow once its demonstrator arrives.

The new Continental GT definitely shone bright like a diamond in Stuttgart as our latest jewel made its debut to a
stunning unplugged version of Rihanna’s hit “Diamonds”, performed live by a splendid jazz ensemble in front of more
than 200 guests at the show stand of Bentley Stuttgart at the Euromotor 2017.
But there was far more to the event than the splendid music. Other highlights included a welcoming speech by
Bentley Stuttgart’s Ekkehard Schwarz and two artists performing hand-to-hand acrobatics. The audience even had
the opportunity to get to know the entire dealership team and to discover all of the carefully crafted and engineered
features of the new Continental GT, ranging from the diamond cut headlights and the superformed bodywork to the
all-new interior design with its signature rotating display.

BENTLEY GENEVA
Ninety guests savoured the opportunity to see the new Continental GT as the roadshow visited Geneva. The car was
the star, winning praise for its stunning looks, contemporary take on its iconic exterior design, and the way the interior
effortlessly blends cutting-edge technology with Bentley’s craftsmanship and attention to detail.
But that was not all, and Bentley Geneva pulled out all the stops to ensure it was a memorable experience. As
well as learning about the different facets of our cars, there was also a design booth animated by Fabien Pace and
a Configurator presentation. The Retailer even arranged for the buffet dinner with champagne to be held in the
workshop, which allowed those present to learn more about what’s under a Bentley bonnet while the mechanics
worked on the cars. The experience was definitely one which will linger – the sound of the engines as the mechanics
performed their magic is a great example of out-the-box thinking. The event was a resounding success and resulted in
20 leads and 10 test drives
BENTLEY LAUSANNE
Bentley Lausanne presented the new Continental GT to 62 guests. The car left a lasting impression, earning glowing
plaudits for its design, technology and use of materials. But it was the Rotating Display and dual veneers that
generated the most positive feedback, with those present commenting that they were pleased to see Bentley’s
legendary craftsmanship playing such a prominent role in the latest evolution of our Grand Tourer.
Aside from the car, highlights included cocktails, exquisite cuisine prepared by Manuel and music by Pat Burgener, a
local musician. There were even macaroons complete with the Bentley logo. The event was very well received and
resulted in the sale of a Continental GT Convertible and a Bentayga.
BENTLEY DRESDEN
Bentley Dresden invited 50 guests to its showroom for an exclusive introduction to the new Continental GT. The
car took pride of place among the other models in our current line-up. After a speech by Brand Manager Holm
Hübler, those present relished the opportunity to experience every aspect the car up close. Other attractions included
items from the Bentley Collection, champagne and live cooking of crepes with fillings tailored individually to the
customers’ taste.
Holm Hübler said: “The event was a great opportunity for me to participate in conversations around the new car and
take away what is important for our customers. The new technologies are a big topic. I answered a lot of questions
about the Active All-Wheel Drive System, the 48V Active Roll System and the Connected Car features. It is a huge
advantage to have these new technologies on board.”
BENTLEY RIGA
The new Continental GT Roadshow in Riga took place in one of the best restaurants in Latvia – Bibliotēka Nr.1, which
is located in the very centre of the city with a beautiful park surrounding it. Thirty people attended the event, and after
the car was unveiled each guest was treated to an individual introduction to the car by the Bentley Riga team.
For the majority of those present, this was the first time they had seen the car in real life and the reaction was
extremely positive. The Rotating Display was certainly the star of the night, and this feature was appreciated by
almost every customer. Others, in particular the taller customers, were impressed by the spaciousness of the cabin,
adding that the car looks much smaller from the outside.
The evening also featured the Retailer’s long-term affinity partner, Pernod Ricard, who were on hand offering Chivas
cocktails made specially for the new Continental GT Roadshow event. The evening resulted in four strong new leads,
one of which has already been turned into a deposit.

THE UNVEILING OF A SPECIAL CAR
This week the new Continental GT was the star guest at several unveiling
events at Bentley Retailers across our region.
BENTLEY BARCELONA
Bentley Barcelona threw open the doors of its new showroom as the new Continental GT roadshow visited the
Catalan capital. The event saw 88 guests marvel at the car, and the new retailer facilities. Of course, this was a
special occasion, and to celebrate the re-opening there was exquisite catering from Esther Conde – a famous culinary
company in Barcelona – live music from DJ Bea and each guest was presented with a gift from Princess Yachts, the
official partner for the event.
The car left a lasting impression on those who attended, with one guest saying: “The new car is fantastic, lustrous,
luxurious and amazing. When can I have it delivered?”
The day was a resounding success and generated six leads and six requests for test drives.
REAL ESTATE LEADERS’ SUMMIT AT KITZBÜHEL
More than 200 guests attended the Real Estate Leaders’ Summit at Kitzbühel and Bentley was on hand promoting
our brand and cars. The three-day event brought together the chief executives of state and local associations to forge
and encourage lasting connections in the real estate sector. Star speakers at this year’s summit included futurist
Nicklas Bergman, politician Nigel Farage and Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia.
Such a gathering of minds was the perfect window to showcase the cars and Bentley Europe seized the opportunity
to display the new Continental GT, Bentayga W12 and Supersports.
The guests clearly appreciated our cars, and our presence resulted in 18 requests for test drives.

BENTLEY MANNHEIM
Bentley Mannheim attracted more than 300 guests to its three-day celebrations showcasing the new Continental GT.
The first day saw the Retailer invite 100 VIPs into its showroom to see the new car up close, as well as the complete
model range. Other highlights included the finest dining and atmospheric music, and those present could test their
driving skills on a racing simulator provided by the Technical University of Heidelberg. The event was a resounding
success and led to a contract for a stock Continental GT Convertible being signed.
The second day saw the car presented at the trendy Dom-Grill Kitchen Bar in Karlsruhe, with the aim of attracting
as many new customers as possible. Positioning the car opposite the Guts and Glory Cocktail bar, one of the region’s
hottest hotspots, saw 150 people drop in to see our newest addition, as well as Bentayga Diesel and Mulsanne Speed.
Aside from the cars, attractions included the gin-tasting session and special menu.
The final day of activities saw the car presented at an exhibition at the renowned Print Media Academy in Heidelberg.
The location couldn’t have been better – situated across the street from Mannheim’s main station, the academy is
passed by some 40.000 cars each day. This strategy paid off handsomely; more than 50 people took the opportunity
to see every aspect of the car in the finest of detail.
BENTLEY STOCKHOLM
Bentley Stockholm saw more than 250 people attend its showroom for its presentation of the new Continental GT.
The event began with guests enjoying a glass of Nyetimber champagne as a pre-drink before the reveal of the car. One
guest said: “Such an elegant car, yet so modern and with an edgy attitude to it.”
The showroom was decorated in an ‘into the future’ theme, complete with light all around the showroom, ballet
dancers with feisty make-up, and bartenders who were making a bit of a show around the bar area. At the end of the
evening, those present were given a gift with a brochure of the car, as well as a spa treatment from one of the local
luxury spas to ensure it really was a night to remember. The event was a resounding success – the very next day the
Retailer received a handful of calls from customers and prospects registering their interest in the car.
BENTLEY MAASTRICHT
Bentley Maastricht chose a walk-in concept to present the new Continental GT, and more than 120 customers and
prospects seized the opportunity to see our latest addition. The car was undoubtedly the star of the show, but
there was much more for guests to enjoy than just the new Continental GT. The round-shaped bar in the centre of
the Maastricht showroom was the perfect location to offer high-end hospitality. As well as Pommery Champagne
and luxurious amuses, there were also special champagne bonbons complete with a Bentley logo which were made
exclusively for this event. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive, with one guest saying: “The new Bentley is
fantastic. I love all the new technology of the new Bentley Continental GT, especially the Bentley Rotating Display. It’s
truly awesome, almost like a James Bond feature.”
The following day saw the new Continental GT tour the area’s most important cities on a trailer, with the car enjoying
some very good reactions on the street and on social media. This two-pronged approach paid dividends with Bentley
Maastricht securing 12 sales and pre-orders, as well many new leads for the first test drives with the new Continental
GT at the beginning of 2018.
BENTLEY MILAN
More than 200 guests enjoyed Bentley Milan’s presentation of the new Continental GT. The Retailer pulled out all
the stops to ensure it was an occasion to remember by teaming up with one of the city’s premier restaurants, Lume
Milano, which is directed by the award-winning chef Luigi Taglienti.
The event was organised in partnership with stylist Chiara Boni. As well as the sublime food, there were also cocktails
and music by the renowned singer Miza Mayi. And if that was not enough, there was also a bottle of perfume for
every female guest attending. One lucky guest even won a speaker courtesy of a ‘mystery box’ competition run by
Bang & Olufsen.

the car. The Retailer welcomed guests with an aperitif courtesy of a 5 Star Hotel in Lugano, and ensured it was an
occasion to remember by decorating the showroom in white-themed colours to guarantee that the car, in Candy
Red, really stood out. Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with those present appreciating the
handcrafted luxury and cutting-edge technology; commenting that it was these two elements that made this new
product a perfect union of design and engineering.
BENTLEY FRANKFURT
Bentley Frankfurt created a true ‘hands-on’ experience for its guests by combining their roadshow event with a driving
day and a wheel-changing breakfast. The two-day event saw 30 customers, a wife, guests and friends try their hand
at the challenge before enjoying their time behind the wheel. This different approach paid dividends and led to the sale
of a Continental GT V8 S stock car, and one order for a new Continental GT. In addition to this, many of those present
also expressed their interest in the newest addition to our ranks.

Bentley Lyon held an exclusive two-day event to showcase the new Continental GT to its top VIP customers. More
than 20 invited guests experienced the car in the privacy of the showroom, with each having their own personal
appointment to allow them to discover every intricate detail, unhurried at their own pace. The event was an
unqualified success, with those present praising the car’s design and beauty, and it led to the Retailer confirming
three new PIs over the two-day event.
BENTLEY MOSCOW
The Russian premiere of the new Continental GT took place at Rozhdestvenka Bazaar, a unique spacious location
in the very heart of Moscow. More than 400 guests from Russia and the CIS markets had a privilege opportunity
to immerse themselves into the world of Bentley while going through the specially created ‘customer journey’ – an
extraordinary installation about Bentley’s past, present and future – in the company of a Bentley guide.
Then it was time for the main event; a private preview of the new Continental GT. One of the highlights was a
masterpiece created by leading Russian modern artist Grigory Orekhov: a Russian doll ‘Nevalyashka’, which symbolises
perfect balance. Made from stainless steel, it was polished 12 times and it took Mr Orekhov more than a year to
create this stunning piece of artwork. This handcrafted masterpiece was the perfect accompaniment to the car, which
many of the guests present considered to be a unique piece of art created by extraordinary people.

BENTLEY BUCHAREST
Bentley Bucharest took the decision to initiate a three-pronged integrated strategy for promoting the new
Continental GT. The Retailer held a brunch in its showroom for 49 guests to allow them to savour the car in a very
relaxed atmosphere, before giving 20 journalists the opportunity to experience the car during a press-only event.
Yet the Retailer really pulled out all the stops for its final event – a presentation for more than 800 of the country’s
high society at a special luxury gala in one of the city’s most exclusive venues, the Parliament’s Palace.
The 10 Years Luxury Gala is attended by royalty, public figures and prominent people. As well as a static display of
the new and current Continental GTs, there was also a Pre-Owned display, and a fashion show designed exclusively
for the car by renowned fashion designer Catalin Botezatu. Other attractions included gourmet catering, Luc Belaire
champagne and live music for the guests to enjoy.
Loredana Matei, Marketing and PR Manager, said: “The new Continental GT is the first car ever to go through the
front doors of the Parliament’s Palace. We had to do a lot of preparation to ensure we had all the permits from the
government and security authorities. It was an adrenaline rush, our mission impossible, and we enjoyed every moment.

Bentley Hannover unveiled the new Continental GT during a Christmas-themed event at one of the city’s most
prominent locations – the Peppermint Pavillion. The Retailer created a #NewGTWelcomeAfterWorkChristmasParty
event, and invited 350 of its loyal customers and partners, using social media to promote the evening.
The presentation of the new Continental GT was undoubtedly the highlight, but the Supersports, first generation
Continental GT and the Speed 8 Racing Car all generated their share of interest among those present. Aside from the
impressive display, carefully chosen to highlight the past, present and future of the full Continental range, the Retailer
ensured it would be a night to remember by offering the very best in entertainment. As well as live cooking stations
(divided into ‘Spirit of Asia’, ‘Bentley BBQ’ and ‘Continental Special’), there were also special drinks in partnership with
Remy Martin – “The New Continental GT Cocktail” and the “Bentley Driver”. As if that was not enough, the Bentley
Boys were on hand to offer an insight into what makes the car so special, and there was live music by local band
Gemini and a dance stage for guests to enjoy.
The atmosphere in the Peppermin Pavillion was absolutely electric. As music filled the room, the dance floor swelled
and the mood became as vibrant as the surroundings. At the end of the evening, each guest was presented with
candles and fragrances as a memento of the very special proceedings. The event was a resounding success and led to
more than 100 new leads with a high potential to buy the new car.
Speaking as they left the venue, one guest said: “Bentley Hannover definitely made a bold statement with this
incredible set-up and the launch of this new car – a statement of true luxury with its bold, sculptured exterior design.
I’ve never experienced such a great event; Bentley Hannover has set a new standard for excellence.”

GT with thanking our extremely loyal customers and partners for the success we have enjoyed in 2017, and I think our

BENTLEY LEUSDEN
Bentley Leusden chose to showcase the new Continental GT at one of the Netherlands’ biggest and most well-
attended luxury fairs – the Masters of LXRY*. The event, held in the Rai in Amsterdam, enjoyed a record turnout this
year – more than 52.000 people flocked through the exhibition centre’s doors – and this was the perfect venue to
promote the car’s blend of performance, comfort, attention to detail, exquisite materials and four-seat practicality. The
five-day fair started with an exclusive VIP night complete with black tie dress code and climaxed with a Business Day,
and featured entertainment and the very best catering throughout.
Daniëlle Bindi, Marketing and Events Manager for Bentley Leusden, said: “More than 50 of our clients visited us during
the Masters of LXRY*, but of course we met many more new people during the fair. The car generated a lot of positive
feedback, earning plaudits for its sportiness, class and discreet yet striking styling.”
BENTLEY WARSAW
Bentley Warsaw took the opportunity to showcase the new Continental GT in three vibrant cities – Silesia, Warsaw
and Poznan. The first event was held at the renowned Tyskie Brewery in Silesia for 50 guests. As well as elegant
catering, a Flying Spur was also on display.
The second event saw 65 guests flock to the showroom in Warsaw to enjoy an individual presentation of the new car.
Two affinity partners also took the opportunity to showcase their products – TACIT (exclusive apartments in Warsaw
– Cosmopolitan and Park Lane) and Moët & Chandon (who served champagne for customers on the day of the event).
After savouring the new Continental GT and the full range of our products, each guest was presented with a gift
bag containing Moët & Chandon champagne and elegant Parker pens. The final event saw the new Continental GT
presented to 30 customers at a special invite-only reveal in the Młyńska12 Conference Centre in Poznan.

BENTLEY MADRID
Three open days at the Bentley Madrid showroom generated a great deal of interest in the new Continental GT, with
the Retailer reporting that plenty of leads and test-drive requests were generated – three of which have already come
close to resulting in deals.
The feedback from VIP customers in the Spanish capital was extremely positive, with one current Bentley owner,
who has already placed an order for a new Continental GT, commenting: “It was not easy to replace the iconic
Continental GT, but the new one is amazing. It looks more sporty and the new technology is fantastic.”
The highlight of the event was the closing party, where 40 guests partied the night away in the Bentley Madrid
showroom, which was transformed into a tequila bar for the evening. International flamenco superstar Joselin Vargas
provided the music and Bentley racing star Andy Soucek, who was born in Madrid, outlined the team’s plans to build
on their extremely successful 2017 season. Andy also donated his race driving equipment to the charity auction, which,
along with some other fabulous prizes, managed to raise more than €5.000 for child cancer charity The Dream Of Vicky.
BENTLEY LUXEMBOURG
Heavy snowfall did not deter VIP guests from flocking to the Bentley Luxembourg new Continental GT special open
day. More than 150 guests braved the conditions to attend the event, which was held at the Bentley Luxembourg
showroom and they were rewarded with a sparkling evening. With a group of four jazz musicians providing musical
entertainment, guests were also treated to high-quality finger food and live cooking stations.

However, the star of the show was the new Continental GT. A video installation projected on to a large screen on the
showroom wall showed off everything the new GT has to offer and guests spoke admiringly of the modern design.
Alongside the positive feedback came plenty of requests for test drives, and the Retailer is expecting a big boost
to sales.
BENTLEY VILNIUS
More than 50 guests were treated to an evening of opulent luxury when the new Continental GT Roadshow rolled into
Vilnus. The city’s famed Kempinski Hotel, which lies in the heart of the Lithuanian capital’s Cathedral Square, was the
venue for a night of unforgettable hosting and entertainment.
After the VIP guests were treated to a delightful feast of the finest champagne and oysters, the new Continental GT
was given centre stage in one of the hotel’s special presentation rooms.
The latest addition to the Bentley family was the star of a specially crafted stage show, with a voiceover that
highlighted the car’s technology, innovative design and individuality – all set to the live music of a classical orchestra.
During the recital, opera dancers slowly unveiled the car ‘piece by piece’ to the captivated audience, revealing its
handmade, luxurious features one at a time.
Feedback on the new Continental GT was overwhelmingly positive, with 12 leads created and eight test drives already
booked in.
BENTLEY BORDEAUX
More than 40 VIPs and special guests attended the prestigious events at Bentley Bordeaux. An innovative approach
was taken, separating the roadshow into two distinct parts – a static presentation and a luxurious dinner.
Low lights and music, inspired by the Buddha Bar, provided the ambience as guests were seated at round tables to
provide additional friendliness and conviviality.
Romuald Guy, Marketing Manager, commented: “The customer reaction and feedback was extremely positive, with
many booking test drives. We finished the evening with a small gift of a Bentley pen, which was very well received”.
Prior to the customer events, there was a private presentation and a special dinner for 14 of Bordeaux’s most
influential citizens.

NEW CONTINENTAL GT AT THE
LISBON BOAT SHOW
For the second time, Bentley Lisbon used the Lisbon Motor Show to
maximum effect, promoting the new Continental GT and Continental GT
Convertible and selling out their entire stock of Bentley Collection items.
The Bentley Lisbon stand was one of the most visited in the show, attracting both customers and new prospects,
many of whom turned into leads. Miguel Costa, General Manager at Bentley Lisbon, commented: “We also took
advantage of the press day, where all the journalists joined us on our stand, and we even achieved local TV coverage”.
Yet it was the Bentley Collection that was the runaway success with every item sold – including display items –
over the course of the show. This included a handbag from the new Collection, new Continental GT luggage and
Bentayga luggage.
Susannah Platt, Commercial Manager, Brand Lifestyle, commented: “This is an excellent example of how Bentley
Collection items can add an additional dimension to a show or an event, creating extra excitement around the cars
on display”.

Christophe Husser of Bentley Cannes tells us how the Retailer’s
Follow the Money initiative has been targeting the yachting sector.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
I chose to target the yachting sector as we know this is a popular leisure activity for our customers. Moreover,
every year, the city of Cannes welcomes a prestigious international yachting fair, so it seemed logical to target
this sector.
Describe how you targeted this sector?
For three years now, we have had a very close partnership with yacht manufacturer VanDutch, who has a Bentley
GT W12 Coupe. We visited the factory in Crewe together last November and participated at the ice-driving in
Finland in January. He comes with me every year to Le Castellet for the Blancpain series and does not hesitate to
talk about our products to his own clients. We also made a sale to one of his customers in the summer of 2015.
We invite our partners and clients to each Bentley event and vice versa, it’s a real partnership. The main event is
naturally the Cannes Yachting Festival. We use the Grand Hotel’s dock on the Croisette to organise test-drives of
our range. Our customers and prospects begin test-driving a Bentley car, then leave it at the end of the dock at
VanDutch to go directly to the heart of the show. It’s an experience that our guests seem to enjoy every year.
How successful were you? Any strong leads or sales? Did your initiative generate any test drives or
any recommendations?
Indeed. As I’ve already said, I sold a Bentley GTC V8 in 2015 to a VanDutch customer, who owned a
Mercedes-Benz 500 SL. It was a wonderful meeting that resulted in a sale of a vehicle in stock, but other
qualified and interesting leads can be opportunities for the future by maintaining regular contact.
Post-event, how do you follow up?
With Manon, our Marketing Manager, we plan the event and we think about how to optimise the next one.
We are always searching to be more innovative or finding other partners. This was the case last year with the
participation of an artist, who painted a boat especially for the event. Finally, the guests must confirm their
participation by mail or by phone. Thanks to that, we can measure the real participation.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
For the moment, we would like to stay with this major event in Cannes. In the future, it’s not out of the question
to participate in other kinds of event, especially near Marseille, in La Ciotat to be more precise.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?
There are always ways to take a turn for the better. We can imagine making a trip in a Bentley along the Estérel
coast and returning back by boat to join the Yachting Festival. We need more Bentley Boys, but also more
VanDutch boats or other brands... With the new partnership between Bentley and Princess Yachts, we are open
to new projects in order to satisfy our customers and to meet new potential customers.
Are there any segments you think Bentley could target more aggressively?
Personally, I love classic cars and our brand has a very strong history. Our customers are often very interested in
our brand’s legacy and we have benefited from the arrival of the Tour de France Auto last year on the Croisette in
Cannes. Elegance and refinement works perfectly with the Bentley brand.
What did you learn from your initiative?
That we have to take pleasure during the organisation of our events to better share this pleasure with our
customers. We are lucky to have a partner that shares the same desire with his customers. I’m especially lucky
to have a great team that does a lot of work. Manon, my Aftersales manager, and David, my preparator, give
the best of themselves to make each event an exceptional moment. Nothing would be possible without a team
motivated by the desire to show the best for our Bentley brand.

Through a partnership with Engel & Voelkers, Germany’s most prominent luxury real estate agency.
What were the standout features of your initiative?
The event was held at Schloss Solitude Business Club, the most renowned private club in the southwest of
Germany, which formed a stunning backdrop for this successful partnership event.
The theme was a Spanish evening, with paella, summer decorations complete with sunbeds and lounge music,
while the cars on display were Mulsanne and Bentayga. Guests were given the chance to get exclusive insight into
the newest luxury property project, which is being developed by Engel & Voelkers on the island of Marbella.
How successful were you? Any strong leads or sales?
Not yet, but we are scheduling a test drive with one of our Bentaygas in the future.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?
We’ll try to invite more customers because most were Engel & Voelkers clients.
Are there any segments you think Bentley could target more aggressively?
In my opinion Bentley should focus more on horse owners – they need an SUV, especially Bentayga Diesel,
which is very interesting for this target group.
What did you learn from your initiative?
For us, following the money also means creating win-win situations. We know in the life of many of our existing
and potential customers that real estate plays a vital role, be it as investment or ownership. During the evening,
we could add the perfect extra to Engel & Voelker’s presentation, while our customers had the chance to get to
know a highly exclusive project.

Bentley Hannover’s initiative leveraged the luxury hotel market.
Branch Manager Marcus Kahler tells us more.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
We have chosen the sophisticated hotel sector as there is a high percentage of our target group accommodated
in these sorts of hotels.
Describe how you targeted this sector.
Through last year’s #BeExtraordinary Tour, we worked with The Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg and found them
to be an excellent affinity partner, with a strong focus on the automotive sector as the hotel is situated in the
Autostadt park of the Volkswagen Group.
What are the standout features of your initiative at The Ritz-Carlton?
The strategy is to display the model range in the driveway of the hotel and offer dynamic Bentley experiences to
the hotel guests. That way, arriving guests are already welcomed by the extraordinary presence of the vehicles
and have a topic for small talk. The hotel staff then take the next steps by offering test drives if the guests fit
our standards. Additionally, we offer a Bentley Package that contains a night in the hotel’s suite, which includes
a Bentley model. Depending on the season, we offer convertibles for the summer months and different models
for the other seasons. Also included in this package is a dinner at the hotel’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant,
Aqua, which features different courses with certain Bentley design elements.
How successful have you been? Any strong leads or sales? Has your initiative generated any test drives or
any recommendations?
Our presence at The Ritz-Carlton is a real success. Potential customers contact us via telephone or mail on a
regular basis and at least one car has been sold because of our established co-operation with the hotel. Many
prospects take the time to travel the short distance to our showroom and gather more information on cars
in stock. Our recent factory tour is powerful testament to just how successful this partnership between our
exclusive brands is. We took an exclusive group of VIP guests to the factory for a tour, including the hotel’s
three-star Michelin chef, Sven Elverfeld.
Mareike Meyer, Marketing Manager at Bentley Hannover, adds: “The event was a success, so much so that we
have been inspired to create a taste experience, combining the design elements that make a Bentley so special
within an incredible menu by Mr Elverfeld. We’re looking forward to offering this culinary treat to our customers
and guests at The Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg.”
Post-event, how have you followed up?
As this is more of a partnership than a single event, we keep our presence fresh by regularly exchanging
the models on the spot. Single events are currently being discussed, which will be followed up with C@B
follow-up regulations.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
The co-operation has proven to be the right segment, so we will keep it running until further notice. Anyhow,
we always keep our eyes open, looking for further possibilities to raise our level of awareness.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?
Currently our partnership does not need to be improved, but we always check our processes for further chances
of improvement and stay in permanent contact with the hotel staff.
What did you learn from your initiative?
Never to be satisfied with the chances you get in the showroom and always stay hungry for chances to raise your
level of awareness in your region and beyond.

tells us how prospects are reached during the Italian holiday season.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
The Italian summer attracts the international jet set through a unique combination of breathtaking, natural
coastlines, stunning locations – trendy clubs, enticing marinas, glamorous parties – and a vibrant nightlife.
In the Costa Smeralda, a popular tourist destination in Northern Sardinia, you can always find an exclusive collection
of actors, singers, sports stars, politicians and international billionaire entrepreneurs – exactly the target we are
looking for at Bentley Milano during the Italian holiday season.
Describe how you targeted this sector.
In 2016, we began to consider extending our business reach by leveraging customers during their holidays. The
Costa Smeralda area immediately presented us with a range of exciting opportunities, as we believe interactions
with the Bentley world and culture can be more valuable to our customers when they have enough time to enjoy
and share them with their family.
A further advantage the destination presented to us is the opportunity to leverage our customers’ friends and
introduce them to Bentley’s undisputable uniqueness.
What were the standout features of your initiative?
After some evaluation in 2016, we decided to partner with Hotel Punta Baja, one of the most popular and exclusive
locations in Baja Sardinia, which has luxurious accommodation and an outstanding restaurant with a seafront view.
Additional factors that attracted us were the location, adjacent to Phi Beach, the most trendy aperitif bar in the
area. it includes a Chiringuito style bar with a seawater pool and small piers that go into the sea, as well as a disco
restaurant for guests to moor their yachts, right in front of the Napoleonic fortress, Forte Cappellini.
One thing we know for sure, nobody in Costa Smeralda last year could have missed having an Aperol Spritz at
Phi Beach, in front of our car display area. The range gained plenty of attention!
How successful were you? Any strong leads or sales?
We had a clear objective: build relationships with high-net-worth individuals in a quality and exclusive location,
easing the opportunity to interact with traditional Bentley customers and their friends.
We secured around four test drives every day, collected some interesting new contacts and ensured that the
Bentley brand was visible in Costa Smeralda throughout the summer season.
Post-event, how do you follow up?
Qualified contacts are now included in the Bentley Milano database and regularly receive our newsletters and event
invitations. We will also update them about all of our 2017 initiatives. The first event in Costa Smeralda will be held
in Porto Cervo on 24 and 25 June with Benetti Yachts.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
We would like an even stronger presence in Costa Smeralda for 2017 and a more concrete action plan that could
include: multiple pop-up locations (Bentley Lounge for test drives and beat the competition); harbours’ partnership;
luxury and exclusive nightlife events; fashion events support (VIP shuttle service); and other selected initiatives to
be agreed with local entrepreneurs.

on holiday. Bentley always keeps ‘lights on’ customers.

Bentley Monaco’s Stéphane Lévy explains the Retailer’s initiative to
seek prospects through real estate and luxury hotels.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
We chose to target real estate and all the luxury hotels and palaces in Monaco. There are a lot of new residents
each month, which means good prospects for us. People who live here have good potential. Most of the time,
they can afford to buy a Bentley.
Describe how you targeted this sector.
We are constantly in contact with concierges and with real estate agencies. Every two months, we send them
our Monaco Luxury Group magazine. We also call them to propose test drives for people who are interested and
represent good potential. We leave them our business cards and we send them advertising by email. For the past
two years, we have forged partnerships in Monaco with John Taylor, a luxury real estate agency.
What are the standout features of your initiative? How do you seek to engage contacts in this sector?
When we host special events in a prestigious hotel, we always ask the hotel if we can invite some of their clients.
The hotels have permanent residents, or people who stay for long periods as they search for an apartment. Two
months ago, we did a GTC test drive in front of Le Café de Paris at Place du Casino, next to the Hôtel de Paris,
one of the most beautiful hotels in Monaco. With this kind of strategy, we can be more visible. We also held
test drives at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap Ferrat, a prestigious hotel where people in Monaco come to have lunch.
Regarding the real estate partnership, we have organised golf competitions featuring clients from real estate and
staff from Bentley Monaco. That’s a really good opportunity to meet new prospects.
How successful have you been? Any strong leads or sales? Have your initiatives generated any test drives
or recommendations?
Of course. When we have three or four cars in front of a beautiful hotel, there are a lot of people who want to
try one of our cars. We offer test drives using this strategy and people are always happy to try cars and to speak
with us. They then become more comfortable talking about prices. It’s a different atmosphere to the showroom.
At the end of each test drive, we offer them a coffee, get to know them better, talking about the Bentley brand.
They appreciate the attention a lot.
Post-event, how do you follow up?
We always take the prospect’s information. We enter all their information on the CRM, and we always call them
back later to ask how the test drive was, to propose an appointment in the showroom, or to invite them to
another event. Then we post the photos of the event on Facebook to share with everybody.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
Of course, this area is a very good way of finding prospects and trying to sell cars. Another good way of sealing
the deal is to organise a nice event at our villa, and meet owners and potential buyers. We are also considering
working with luxury boutiques in Monaco and organising some Bentley days with them. For example, we would
organise an event in their boutique, invite their clients, meet them and show them the cars, arrange some test
drives, and also invite our clients – the partnership is a win-win for us and the boutique.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?
We can always do better. We would like to organise a road trip, with several stages. For example, we might meet
at the villa in partnership with a real estate company. Then we drive a Bentley to a nice restaurant or hotel, have
lunch, and after that finish the tour at sea – on a Princess Yacht, for example. We could invite both clients and
partners for an interesting and co-branded day.

Q: Are there any segments you think Bentley could target more aggressively?
I think we could have more partnerships with the fashion industry and make a special car. For example, we
could create a special Bentley with the codes of a luxury maison like Chanel, Dior or Hermès. This could be a
good initiative to reach female prospects. We think a little more glamour for the brand is a good thing. A little
feminine touch!
Q: What did you learn from your initiative?
We have to work very closely with others in order to know what’s happening in Monaco, who is new, who has
a second residence, who wants to change his car, and so on. And for that, it’s important to be connected via
Facebook and WhatsApp. For the past year, we’ve also been in partnership with the Club of Foreign Residents
and that has provided a real opportunity to meet all the new people who have moved to Monaco.

Giordy Wammes describes Bentley Leusden’s successes in targeting
the private banking sector.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
We chose to target private banking, as we are already quite well established in other fields such as jewellery and
yachting, so decided to search for new roads to meet the money.
Describe how you targeted this sector.
We have several private bankers in our prospects and have met many members of the private banking sector
at motor shows on the Bentley stand. We have one banker, to whom we sold a Bentley Continental GTC V8
Mulliner, and we used this to target his associates and sphere of influence.
What were the standout features of your initiative?
As we had a direct contact with the banker and his clients, we took advantage of our Bentley Commissioning area
to set up a very comfortable meeting with a good glass of 20-year-old port. This is the exact same approach we
use for our sales conversations – relaxed and interesting. We decided to hold a joint event, combining five of our
private banking contact’s highest-level clients, with our jeweller (Schaap & Citroen) and five of the best clients
of our yacht affinity partner (Riva). The day started with a nice drink in the private harbour in Muiden before we
transferred to three Riva boats on the IJsselmeer (a lake district in the centre of Holland). The return journey was
by helicopter and guests were treated to a flight over the water, taking in the most expensive area of Holland.
The day culminated with an exquisite dinner in the Bentley showroom.
How successful were you? Any strong leads or sales?
We created a strong connection with the new and existing clients and even sold three cars – two GTC V8s and
one Mulsanne.
Post-event, how did you follow up?
We invited every prospect for an exclusive viewing in our showroom, with our existing clients acting
as ambassadors.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
We are quite creative and will search and change our approach to find the money.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?

Are there any segments you think Bentley could target more aggressively?
Hunting. We are busy to do this for our clients – it is a sport that is more connected to Bentley than I thought.
What did you learn from your initiative?
Teamwork is the most important ingredient of every project – Sales, Events, Aftersales. Without the marketing
team this would not have been such a huge success.

Bentley Geneva conducted a campaign dedicated to profiting from the
lucrative real estate market. Frédéric Manfrini reveals more.
Which sector did you choose to target, and why?
We chose to target the luxury real estate market as every customer who is interested in a house worth over
10 million Swiss Francs can afford a Bentley.
Describe how you targeted this sector.
We chose to offer a chauffeuring service through a local real estate agent. Driving in high-net-worth clients
creates opportunities while increasing the exposure of the brand.
What were the standout features of your initiative?
We engaged in discussions with one of our clients, who owns a top end real estate agency. Having advertised
through their magazine, we were able to provide chauffeuring for their top end-clients.
The idea was to create a win-win situation with the agency, providing their clients with an extraordinary
experience and generating new sales leads for us.
How successful were you? Any strong leads or sales?
We have sold one Continental GT and we have two offers on-going. We will continue providing the service and
will be hoping to sell more cars in the near future.
Would you target this area again in the future or choose to change segment?
We will continue for at least one more year, given the fact we have already sold one car through this partnership.
Is there anything you’ll try to do better next time?
Given that a large part of this clientele are foreigners settling down in Geneva, we could create a dedicated
brochure with a kind of concierge offer for a very specific clientele.
Are there any segments you think Bentley could target more aggressively?
I think Bentley should be more aggressive in the private jet sector
What did you learn from your initiative?
The further you go into a sector, the better chance you will have of performing.
