SEVEN-SEAT CONFIGURATION

The seven-seat configuration is an exciting addition to the 18MY Bentayga
range, enhancing the existing practicality and flexibility offered by the four-
and five-seat configurations.

Bentayga is the only luxury SUV to offer four-, five- and seven-seat configurations.
The seven-seat option is perfect for families and adds a further level of flexibility to our groundbreaking SUV,
enabling it to adapt to, and complement, an even wider range of lifestyles.
The two additional seats are located in the third row and are deployed electronically through a switch in the boot or
the second row of seats, making them incredibly quick and easy to use.
But the really clever part is that these extra seats do not eat into the boot space in any way, and there is no loss of
functionality as the seats in the third row can fold completely flat when not in use. This design also means that all
of Bentayga’s accessories can still be used until the seats are deployed.

Black Specification and Blackline Specification.

BLACK SPECIFICATION
Designed to appeal to owners and Retailers wishing to make a dramatic visual statement
with their SUV; this specification is tailormade to give Bentayga a highly distinctive and
striking appearance.

The standout features of this broody specification are the black painted 22-inch five
spoke directional alloy wheels and the gloss black-painted exhaust tailpipes. The current
22-inch directional and handed wheel is available in a black painted finish exclusively with

The Mulliner Console Bottle Cooler can now be ordered as a standalone
feature across the Bentayga range.

Since it was launched in April as part of the standard specification for Bentayga Mulliner, the drinks cooler has
proved to be so popular that we have decided to make this statement luxury feature available to order as a
standalone option on any model in the Bentayga range.
This elegant addition is a fully integrated drinks cooler that is housed in the rear centre console between the two
rear seats. The key features are an illuminated cooler cabinet with space for one bottle, a frosted glass, soft-
close door and a separate illuminated bottle chilling ring. Also included are two handcrafted flutes, developed and
manufactured by Cumbria Crystal in the UK.

SILL STEPS

We are pleased to confirm that this stylish option is now available.

Bentayga Deployable Sill Steps allow the driver and passengers to effortlessly enter and exit the car. Running
from the front to the rear wheel arch, the steps deploy when the doors are opened and retract when the doors
are closed.
Supplied with carbon fibre inserts, the deployable sill steps are not only functional, but complement the styling cues
of Bentayga and are therefore an ideal product to promote along with the Styling Specification.
This option is included in BOOM, so ordering couldn’t be easier and customers can use the configurator to see how
this would look on their new car.

CENTRAL DASHBOARD

This is the must-have gadget for those wishing to add even more dynamic
technology to their new Continental GT.

At first glance, the central dashboard is a veneer finish, yet once the ignition is turned on, the retina quality
12.3-inch digital screen rotates into position, giving access to all the car’s technology at the touch of a button.
A third side of the rotating display features three analogue dials: outside temperature, a compass and a
chronometer. Drivers can choose which side of the display they prefer.
If you switch off the screen – you have three instruments for luxury, driving and performance: outside ambient air
temperature, compass and lap timer. These are our brand pillars and these three instruments summarise what
Bentley is about, inspired by Bentleys of the past, but reflected in an extremely modern way. They are analogue
instruments yet have a digital display. All the numbers are chrome, there is quilting to the centre, knurling, chaplets,
beautiful needles and lights. The detail is exquisite.
The temperature gauge goes from -400C to 600C. These are the most extreme temperatures on the planet. Yet we
have taken the attention to detail even further, and you’ll notice that 200C is top dead centre. Our research shows
us that the vast majority our customers set the interior temperature of their cars between 20-220C, so if the
needle is at the top they’ll know that the temperature outside will be the same as inside the car. If it’s to the left,
it’s cooler, if it’s to the right, it’s hotter. No other manufacturer would do this.

STARS OF THE SILVER SCREEN

Bentley took centre stage on the small screen when a new Mulsanne
documentary, “Made in England”, aired on Motorvision TV.

The European team had been working on this project for several months, and the show included interviews with
Bentley heavyweights Wolfgang Dürheimer, Stefan Sielaff and Derek Bell. We also took the car to Anglesey
race track in Wales with Bentley Boy Steven Kane and spoke to Crewe colleagues during the entire vehicle
manufacturing process.
The result was a 25-minute documentary about luxury, performance, Bentley’s pride and passion, and the
new Mulsanne.
The show was broadcast in 38 countries worldwide this year, having had its premiere on 2 February at 21:37 CET
on Motorvision TV in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Bentley was once again the star of the German small screen, with car
magazine GRIP featuring a one-hour documentary on our brand.

Host Matthias Malmedie was given exclusive behind-the-scenes access and presented some thought-provoking
content about our famous marque – interviewing Richard Charlesworth in the Bentley Blower, driving a GT3-R at
Anglesey race track with our race driver Marco Holzer and visiting hotspots at our factory in Crewe.

RUSSIAN MEDIA DRIVE IN
BERLIN FOR MULSANNE

Six Russian journalists took part in a Mulsanne media drive to showcase the
car’s unique blend of luxury and performance.

The journalists tested all variants in the range, including the extended wheelbase version, and drove the cars north
from Berlin to Heiligendamm on the Baltic Sea.
Yet there was far more to this event than time behind the wheel. Highlights included a visit to Berlin’s renowned
Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin and stays in the Hotel de Rome Berlin and the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm.
The driving experience was a resounding success, with the journalists praising the car’s handling, comfort and
refined ride.

MEDIA ENJOY LALIQUE LUXURY

A select group of European journalists test-drove four Flying Spur models,
including the new W12 S and V8 S, followed by an overnight stay at the
home of timeless French lifestyle brand Lalique.

The six journalists, hand-picked by the Bentley European Communications team and invited from across the
Continent, put the four Flying Spurs – also including a V8 and W12 – through their paces on the Autobahn, before
taking a detour along beautiful country roads to the Villa René Lalique hotel in Wingen-sur-Moder, Alsace, France –
home to the luxury crystal and jewellery brand.
The journalists were treated to an audience with a Lalique product expert, followed by dinner prepared by villa
chef Jean-Georges Klein at the hotel’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant. At the villa, which pays homage to the
exceptional work of the craftsmen at the adjacent Lalique factory, and the vision of company founder René Jules
Lalique, they spent the night in six exclusive, themed suites dedicated to the French designer.
René Lalique founded the Verrerie d’Alsace glassworks at Wingen-sur-Moder, at the heart of a region with a strong
and historic glassmaking tradition. This is now the world’s only Lalique factory. The next day, the six journalists
enjoyed an exclusive tour of the production facility, featuring a dedicated programme for the media specially
arranged by our team.
They also enjoyed lunch at the stunning Châteaux Hochberg – owned by Lalique chief executive Silvio Denz and
located on the site of the former Hochberg glassworks – before being chauffeured in luxury by Flying Spur to
Stuttgart Airport as their Bentley Lifestyle Drive came to an end.

CONFERENCE 2017

More than 30 people from the Retailer PR representatives visited
Manchester and Crewe for the second European Communications
Conference.

The two-day event was a very intensive affair and included speeches from several key note speakers. Caren Jochner,
Head of Communications Europe showcased the communications strategy and brand messages and explained in detail
the following:
• Communications in the sales funnel: Why PR matters for everyone
• Traditional and new media audiences: The shift from print to digital
• Social media, online and third party activation via influencers, influential, and extraordinary customers
She also touched upon the new topic of ‘social media tribes’. A tribe is social media term which refers to a community
of people who share a common interest, and who are usually loosely affiliated with each other through social media
or other internet mechanisms. Therefore, it makes sense that Bentley is looking for the best tribe to represent our
brand.
Mona El-Mahdi, Communications Manager, was next on the stage and gave an enlightening presentation on the
definition of communications & PR vs. marketing. Mona’s passion shone through, and she covered the following
themes:

They were joined by Sebastian Michel, Communications Manager, who spoke authoritatively on Retailer best practices,

media drive.
Next up was Johannes Beutler, Communications Fleet Officer, who looked at the key figures and challenges facing
fleet, before the sessions finished with Jasmine Hafez and Silvia Dieckmann, Events Managers, explaining how Retailers
can create compelling events.
Maddalena Manfredi, Communications Coordinator, then delivered a presentation on how to provide guidance, support
and content to help Retailers achieve full margin results. This included media activity, media monitoring press releases
and the next steps for 2017.
Aside from the presentations, the guests had the opportunity to visit the Home of Bentley Motors in Crewe on the
second day.

EXTRAORDINARY ROADTRIP

Continental was the focus for an extraordinary road trip, and renowned
German motoring title Autobild was along for every step of the way.

A total of 13 Continental GTs, encompassing the entire range, formed an impressive convoy for the journey, which
started at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie. This iconic building was completed in 2016 and its unique architecture
and impressive views over the port of Hamburg make it a memorable location.
After leaving the ancient Hanseatic city, the journey continued through the tree-lined avenues and winding country
roads towards the Baltic Sea, a route carefully designed to allows the journalists to experience the full power of the
eight- and twelve-cylinder engines.
After some 400 kilometres, the Continental convoy arrived in Berlin, the final destination of this whistle-stop tour
of Germany Autobild will feature more coverage form the event in a coming issue.

RUSSIAN MEDIA DRIVE

Bentayga was put through its paces recently on a media drive in
Karelia, Russia.

The top 10 automotive and lifestyle journalists and two high ranking bloggers were given the opportunity to test-drive
the W12-engined Bentayga on every type of Russian road. The car’s off-road prowess was tested on a special track in
Sortavala, while the highways from St Petersburg to Sortavala were the perfect proving ground to demonstrate the
SUV’s long-distance comfort and refinement.
Away from the asphalt, highlights included the opportunity to create some domestic art in a rare Karelian technique
called ‘Sgraffito’, a boat trip along the famous Ladoga skerries and a visit to the world-famous Ruskeala Marble
Canyon, the quarry that has supplied marble for some of the extraordinary palaces and cathedrals of St Petersburg
and the interiors of the Winter Palace.
Marco van Aalten, Head of Bentley Russia, said: “Bentayga remains one of the key sales triggers in the Russian market.
We created this extraordinary event to raise another wave of media interest in Bentayga and we have collected very

CHAMPAGNE TOUR

Six of Europe’s most prominent lifestyle journalists gathered in France for a
luxurious media event.

The two-day Mulsanne lifestyle experience, which was run in conjunction with luxury champagne brand Veuve
Clicquot, saw the scribes from Germany, Austria, Ukraine, France. Netherlands and Russia enjoy a drive from Paris
to Reims and along the Route de Champagne back to Paris.
Highlights included a talk from Brett Boydell, Bentley’s Head of Interior Design studio 2, a gourmet champagne
dinner with Edouard de Nazelle, the owner of Veuve Clicquot, at the champagne house’s Hotel du Marc and a
private guided tour through the cellars with a tasting in a private lounge.

TURKISH DELIGHT

The cream of Turkey’s lifestyle and motoring media enjoyed a luxurious
two-day Supersports Media Drive to Lake Constance.

The event started at Munich’s Hilton Park hotel. After a short briefing, the drivers savoured a performance test drive,
taking in German’s iconic Autobahns and the best scenic country roads. After stopping for lunch at the renowned
restaurant Schuppen 13 in Langenargen, the group took in more testing country roads skirting Lake Constance before
hopping on the ferry to Constance and staying at the strikingly modern hotel 47˚.
Day two began with a breakfast before the drivers set off for one of the world’s best roads – the B500 through
the heart of the Black Forest. After a brief rest for lunch at Das Hausgast in Freudenstadt, the group tackled the
legendary Black Forest Road ahead of their evening departure from Stuttgart Airport to Istanbul.
The feedback from those in attendance speaks for itself. Mr Bülent Cankurt, from magazine Şamdan Plus, said:
“The Supersports exceeded my expectations by far and really deserves its name. It was both a pleasure and huge
excitement to drive this outstanding vehicle.”

A JOURNEY INTO THE
EXTRAORDINARY

Bentley teamed up with renowned German media title ‘Auto Motor und
Sport’ for a journey in the Bentayga – a journey of the extraordinary.

The event had been carefully designed to showcase our groundbreaking SUV’s off and on road prowess and saw
invited journalists drive the car along some of the most scenic roads through the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean to
the Atlantic as they travelled from Barcelona to Bilbao.
Of course, this was a Bentley experience, so the route took in the very best the region has to offer. As well as
sampling a sunrise in Barcelona, those present enjoyed a tour of the renowned Vilarnau organic vineyard, the
Artelac organic goat cheese factory and a traditional French Boulangerie in Tarbes.
The event culminated in a scenic sunset picnic in Bakio, complete with stunning ocean views.

FACTORY VISIT

Five of Portugal’s prominent automotive journalists spent the day visiting
our factory in Crewe to experience our renowned craftsmanship first-hand.

José Caetano from Auto Foco, Paulo Passirinho from Top Gear, Pedro Silva from Auto Hoje, Julio Santos from
Turbo and Antonio Xavier from ACP, visited the wood and trim shop, the leather shop and the Bentayga production
line. Joined by Bentley Lisbon’s General Manager, Miguel Costa, the guests were amazed by the level of detail and
the precision of craftsmanship that goes into every Bentley.
The visit culminated in a private viewing of the new Continental GT at CW1 House.

Ilya Frolov from Russia’s Motor wrote: “This is an uncompromising driver’s machine, one which has undergone a
weight-saving programme in the quest for excellence. Supersports covers kilometres like a waterfall, like an avalanche,
which every second becomes only stronger under the weight of its own weight and speed.”
CONTINENTAL GT SPEED
Continental GT Speed has appeared online in a Motor 16 review. The author, Andrés Mas, was won over by the car’s
performance, acceleration and handling. He wrote: “The car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, and takes
76 seconds to reach its maximum speed of 331 km/h from a standing start.”
BENTAYGA DIESEL
Bentayga Diesel left a similar lasting impression on Germany’s renowned title, Motoreport. The author praised
the luxurious interior and the powerful V8 engine. “The two rear seats offer no less comfort than the front. Seat
ventilation and heating are available, a massage function and, if desired, the front passenger seat can also be moved
forward – when the Bentayga is being moved by a chauffeur.

Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport reviewed Bentayga on our media drive event in Spain and the car’s steering
impressed journalist Markus Stier. He wrote: “With SUVs the steering is usually vague and a bit indirect, very similar
to a large ship making a sudden movement. With Bentayga, this is not the case. The rather small three-spoke steering
wheel immediately stands out, and the longer you move it, the more enjoyment it makes, especially on winding
country roads in Catalonia or the Basque country.”

One of the world’s most iconic ski races took place and two Bentley
Retailers capitalised on the significant interest by using it to promote
their Pre-Owned stock.

Bentley Munich and Bentley Vienna targeted the high net worth individuals who flock to watch world-class athletes
compete in the legendary Hahnenkamm races, and supplied eight cars for display.
Located close to our Lodge at the bottom of the world renowned ‘Streif’ run, the Arnage R, Mulsanne, GT3R and
Continental GT Convertible were perfectly positioned to draw the full attention of our guests.
Feedback for the display was overwhelmingly positive. As well as generating a large amount of interest and
conversation starters with customers and prospects, the Retailers sold one car and nurtured one hot lead.

A full suite of marketing assets were launched for Retailers to use.

The Pre-Owned Events toolkit has been designed to be your one-stop shop for all your Pre-Owned events.
This toolkit contains all the assets you’ll need to plan and promote your Bentley Pre-Owned Event.
There are also suggested event ideas and communication timings to ensure you enjoy maximum exposure and
success. These are supplemented with full-page press ads, half-page press ads, digital banners, DM, eDMs and
suggestions for outdoor signage and more.
We are pleased to share with you the Delivery Handover Document. This document, combined with the Certificate
of Authenticity, is to be given to the customer during the final handover transaction. Supplying both of these
documents ensures a further level of reassurance to the customer, confirming that all the previously agreed work
has been completed to Bentley’s highest standard. The Delivery Handover Document includes key details that the
customer needs to know about owning their Pre-Owned Bentley. Both the customer and the Sales Executive are
required to sign the document, ensuring a seamless transaction.

OUTBOUND FEED

We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to a vital tool
– the outbound feed in the Pre-Owned stock locator.

This is the quick and easy way for you to manage your inventory from one central location by using the tool as a
‘central hub’, which allows you to benefit through manufacturer enrichment and by exporting vehicle data to a variety
of third party sites such as mobile.de or Autoscout24.
This means you will then be in a position to advertise your inventory across multiple sites and gain as much exposure
as possible, without having to key-in vehicle information multiple times, in multiple systems.
Remember that when uploading a vehicle on the Administration Tool, only select the third party within the
‘Syndication’ tab and the data will automatically be sent as part of a daily export. Any changes made to these vehicles
also will be exported to the partners.

Bentley Leusden is reaping the rewards from a simple but effective
eDM campaign – a great example of how you can increase sales with
very little effort.

The Retailer sent out an eDM to customers and prospects promoting its ‘Pre-Owned Saturday’ event and the
interest in the event was impressive.
More than 50 guests passed through the showroom doors. As well as enjoying snacks and refreshments, they
savoured the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Pre-Owned stock.
The action resulted in one new Bentley being sold and four hot leads being generated.
This strategy has proven to be a great success, and we are keen to promote it as ‘Best Practice’ for how to run

AUDI Q8

All eyes were on Detroit as Audi used the city’s motor show to unveil its
Q8 concept – a thinly veiled glimpse at its new flagship SUV, which will join
the range in 2018.

The car shares much with the current Q7 – it uses the same platform but, while it’s more than five metres long and
has a wheelbase of three metres, it’s some 40mm lower than the Q7.
The sloping roofline and tapered rear end restrict the car to four seats, although the production car will probably be
made available with five seats.
The concept car is badged as a plug-in hybrid e-tron model, which means it is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI engine
paired with an electric motor, which runs from a 17.9kWh lithium-ion battery. The powertrain develops a combined
449PS and 700Nm of torque. Power is delivered via an eight-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro four-wheel drive.
Audi promises an electric power-alone range of 60km, and the lithium-ion battery takes two-and-a-half hours to
fully recharge.

LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR S

The new Lamborghini Aventador S boasts some impressive spec – 735PS,
four-wheel-steering, with cutting-edge suspension, aerodynamics and
electronics, all in a package that weighs 1.575kg.

Yes, that’s still a considerable amount, but Lamborghini’s engineers have worked hard to give the car more
aerodynamic grip and increased agility from the four-wheel steering.
Yet this supercar also features a sophisticated electronics package, complete with a new configurable driving mode
over and above the familiar Strada, Sport and Corsa settings – the Italians have obviously retained their humour
because they’ve named the new mode ‘Ego’.
This sense of fun is reinforced by the engine – the 337km/h top is reached in just 24.2 seconds, while 0-100km/h
is dispatched in a mere 2.9 seconds. Be under no illusions, the Aventador S is a ferociously fast car and underlines
quite how outrageous this V12 car remains.

ASTON MARTIN RED BULL EDITIONS

Aston Martin launches two F1-inspired limited editions.

Aston Martin has launched two limited editions – the V8 and V12 Red Bull Racing Editions.
The cars are finished in Red Bull Racing’s Mariana Blue paint as standard, although gloss Tungsten Silver and
satin Mariana Blue are available as an option.
Other Red Bull livery touches mimicking the F1 team’s paint are red accents and yellow brake calipers, while the
car’s front splitter, diffuser, grille and side strakes are all made of carbon fibre.
The trend continues inside with headrests that bear Red Bull Racing embroidery, carbon fibre trim, diamond-quilted
leather seats and an Alcantara steering wheel.
The cars remain mechanically unchanged, which means the V8 model gets the 436PS, 4.7-litre unit, while the
V12, 5.9-litre engine produces 565PS.
Red Bull Racing’s F1 drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, will visit the Aston factory to sign the inspection
plates of cars if a buyer requests for one to do so.
Aston Martin isn’t disclosing how much each model will cost and instead is asking interested customers to contact
dealers for a price. The regular V8 and V12 models cost €112.000 and €163.000 respectively, so one can expect the
Red Bull Edition – of which just 20-30 units will be produced – to have quite substantial price increases.

MERCEDES AMG GT FOUR-DOOR

Mercedes’ 608PS pretender to the Continental GT crown.

The four-door Mercedes AMG GT concept is built upon a heavily reworked version of the E-Class structure with a
stretched wheelbase that delivers a lower, sportier stance. Despite the name link, the concept’s drivetrain is closer
to the E-Class than the Mercedes GT sports car. The gearbox is front mounted, rather than rear-mounted transaxle,
and drives all four wheels.
Externally, the car features distinctive LED headlights and a slim glass line. At the rear, heavy cladding covers the
tailgate’s lines, but it’s likely the same swooping lid leads into thin taillights that resemble those of the GT Coupé.
Initially the Mercedes AMG GT will be launched with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine, but it is not
yet known if it will be the dry-sump M178 unit of the GT or the wet-sump M177 used in the AMG 63. Power is
expected to exceed 608PS, ranking the four-door’s unit above even that of the hardcore GTR track-focused model.
Later, the car’s drivetrain is expected to mate an electric motor to AMG’s 4.0-litre V8 to produce 805bhp
and enable a sub-three second 0-100 km/h time. Mercedes may not name its four-door GT model the GT4,
because it already produces a GT4 racing car that’s based on the GT road car. However, GT could be used in
some way to distance the model from the four-door CLE, which will replace the CLS, to emphasise the car’s
powerful performance.
The car will arrive around September 2018, and is likely to be priced slightly higher than the 550PS Porsche
Panamera Turbo, which starts at around €120.000.

JAGUAR XEL

The Jaguar XEL, a long-wheelbase version of the XE compact executive
saloon, is earmarked for a market launch in China.

The new saloon will be around 12cm longer than the regular XE – perfect for offering more rear passenger space while
catering to Chinese demand for chauffeur-driven models.
The XEL will almost certainly not be sold in the EU, but it could be offered in other markets outside China.
