Warm- Up

• Run 2 Laps Around the Gym
• 5 Jumping Jacks

• Arm Rotations

• Extend arms straight out. Rotate arms forward and then backwards

• Arm Stretches

• Both arms straight up in the air
• Right Arm across the chest
• Left arm across the chest

• Leg Stretches

• Feet apart, stretch down
• Feet together, stretch down
• Stretch down towards right leg
• Stretch down towards left leg

Over Under Relay

• Instructions: Players will be divided into two teams lined up directly behind one another. The designated
cones will be the finish line. Each player at the front of the line of each team will have a ball. The first
player will either pass the ball over his/her head or under their legs. The next player has to keep passing
the ball but the opposite action of the first player. For example, ( if the first player passes the ball over the
head, the next in line must pass the ball under the legs and the teams must continue the pattern. When
the last player in line gets the ball, he or she runs, skips, or jumps to the front of the line and it starts all
over again. The team that makes it to the finish line first wins.

• Objective: The object of the game is for the players to keep alternating methods of passing the ball over
and under until the team that finishes first reach the finish line.

• Equipment: Balls and Cones
• Key Skills: Cooperation, Teamwork, Movement
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirements: 5 Minutes

What Time Is It Mr. Fox ?

• Instructions: One student will be Mr. Fox while the remainder of the
students stand on the opposite far end of the gym. The Fox will stand with
his back turned. The players will call out loudly, “ What Time Is It Mr/ Mrs
Fox”, the Fox will then turn around and yell out an even time such as 5:00,
3:00. Whatever time that is called, the students must take that many steps
trying to get to the Fox. For example, if the fox says 7:00, then the players
will take 7 steps until someone touches the Fox and then they will become
the Fox. TWIST ( If The Fox turns around and yells LUNCHTIME! All the
players must ran away. )

• Objective: The objective is to try to be the player that reaches the Fox first.
• Equipment: Gym
• Key Skills: Listening, Counting Skills, Movement
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirements: 6-7 Minutes

Germs

• Instructions: Players will sit in a large circle with one person remaining
standing in the middle. The players will begin rolling the ball lightly or even
tossing the ball gently trying to touch the player in the middle with the ball.
The player in the middle can move around or jump over the ball but must
remain in the center of the circle without getting touched by the ball (germ).
The player that is able to hit the person in the middle gets to switch spots and
be in the middle. The game will repeat until everyone has had a chance to be
in the middle of the circle.

• Objective: The objective is to touch the player in the middle with the ball
(germ) . The player that gets the person in the center out gets to switch places
and get inside the circle.

• Equipment: Bouncy Ball
• Key Skills: Movement
• Space Requirements: Half Court

Time Requirements: 10 minutes or longer

Number Red Rover

• Instruction: The players will each be given a different number of their own.
Two players will start on the opposite far end of the court while the other
plays stand on the other side of the gym. For example, The first two that
are standing will join hands tightly but not too tight and one will call out “
Red Rover Red Rover let number 5 come over! Player five will then run and
try to break the chain ( teammates holding hands). If the player breaks the
chain, he becomes apart of the chain, if not he will go back and wait to be
called upon again. The game will repeat until all players have been called
and create one long chain.

• Objective: The objective is for all of the players to end up holding hands
forming one long chain.

• Equipment: Gym
• Key Skills: Memory, Running, Movement,
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirement: 8- 10 Minutes

Statues

• Instructions: One person will stand on the far end of the court while the
others stand on the opposite side of the court. The individual player
stands with his back turned to the other players. While player one’s back is
turned the players will dance around and move around while walking
towards the single player. When he turns around, all the players must
freeze like a statue in a different pose every time. If a player is caught
moving while player one back is to them, they will have to go all the way
back and start again. The statue that makes it all the way all the way to
player one wins . The game can repeat as many times as needed.

• Objective: The object of this game is to be the statue that makes it all the
way to player one without getting caught.

• Equipment: Gym
• Key Skills: Movement, Balance
• Space Requirements: Full or Half Court
• Time Requirements: 10- 15 Minutes

Crab Soccer

• Instructions: The All players will be divided into two teams and
must be on the floor in crab position in order to play this game. Players
can use feet and head to kick the soccer ball but no hands are allowed and
players may not stand up. The ball will be dropped in the middle for a kick
off and the goal is for each team to kick the ball onto the opposing team
side to score a point.
• Objective: The objective is for the teams to compete and kick the ball onto

the other teams goal without hands or standing up and whichever team
has the most points win.
• Equipment: Soccer Ball, Cones
• Key Skills :Team work, Feet Coordination
• Space Requirements: Full Court
• Time Requirement: 20-30 minutes

Catch or Don’t Catch

• Instructions: The players will form a circle standing up. One player
will start off in the middle of the circle and will go around the circle and
choose someone, stand directly in front of them and say either catch or
don’t catch. If the person does the opposite of the command being called
then they are out. For example, if the person in the middle stands in front
of a player and say don’t catch and they catch the ball then they are out.
The game can also be sped up to make it more intense.
• Objective: The objective of this game is quick thinking and being able to

perform the command called out without doing the opposite.
• Equipment: Bouncy Ball
• Key Skills: Movement, Quick Thinking
• Space Requirements: Half Court
• Time Requirements: 3-5 Minutes

Toilet Tag

• Instructions: The player that is “ IT” will begin to run and try to tag
the players. If a player is tagged, they must sit in the toilet position with
their hand up. In order to rejoin the game, someone must come and touch
their hand and say “flush toilet”.
• Objective: The objective of this game is to not get tagged so that the

player will not have to sit in toilet position.
• Equipment: Open Space
• Key Skills: Running, Movement
• Space Requirements: Full Court
• Time Requirements: 10-15 Minutes

Hula- Hoop Hot Potato

• Instructions: The players will sit in a large group circle and begin to
pass the ball and sing the hot potato song. The player that is caught with
the hot potato must step out of the circle and hula-hoop continuously the
next round while the remaining players continue singing and passing the
potato. The next player that is out, gets to switch places and hula- hoop
and the game will continue as needed.
• Objective: The objective of this game is to not get caught with the hot

potato. The player that is caught must hula- hoop the next round until
someone else is out.
• Equipment: Small Ball, Hula hoop
• Key Skills: Movement
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirement: 5-10 minutes

Wheelbarrow Race

• Instructions: The players will be divided into two teams. On each
team one person will be the wheelbarrow and the other will be the holder.
The player that is the holder will hold the player that is the wheelbarrow
by the ankles in wheelbarrow position. The teams will then race from one
side of the gym to the other, turning around the cones and returning back
to the finish line. The team that gets all players back to the finish line first
wins.
• Objective: The objective is to be the first team that completes the

wheelbarrow race.
• Equipment: Cones
• Key Skills: Teamwork, body movement
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirement: 3-5 Minutes

Stuck In The Mud Tag

• Instructions: One player will be “IT” and the other players must
run away from the tagger. If a player is tagged, he/she must freeze
standing with their legs apart as if stuck in the mud. In order to rejoin the
game, someone must come and slide through under their legs freeing
them from the mud.
• Objective: The objective is not to get tagged so that you will not get stuck

in the mud.
• Equipment: gym
• Key Skills: Movement, running, teamwork
• Space Requirement: Full Court
• Time Requirement: 10-15 Minutes

Hula Hoop Sack Race

• Instructions: Students will be split into two teams. Each team will
stand behind the cones. The first players will sack race to the opposite side
of the gym, once there they will get out of the sack and pick up a hula
hoop to hula hoop and then get back in the sack coming back to the next
team member. The first team that completes the sack race first wins.
• Objective: The objective of this game is to be the first team to complete

the sack race.
• Equipment: Hula hoop, cones, sack race sacks
• Key Skills: movement, teamwork
• Space Requirement: Half Court
• Time Requirement: 5-10 Minutes
