Healing and Reconcilliation Framework 32
Healing and reconciliation is a goal and a process relevant to reintegration work with former rebels.
It is about re-establishing relationships between and among individuals, groups and communities.
It contributes to the restoration of the psychological and social ways FRs so that they are better
able to attain personal well-being, to establish healthy relationship with others, and to become
a productive member of their communities (DILG-DND JMC 2018-01).
The framework operationalizes the concept of healing and reconciliation work with FRs at the
levels of the individual, family or group, and community. Case managers can refer to this in
developing intervention plans with FRs.
