Everyone on-board heard the engines roar like a mighty beast, it sounded like a brrrrrr. The captain asked the co-pilot to do the engine startup checklist. After the engine starts the captain again establishes communication with the ATC “LH 756 heavy requesting taxing clearance”. The ATC replies “LH 756 heavy cleared for taxing head towards runway 07 right”. The captain replies “Thank you ATC.” The captain asked the first officer to complete the taxiing checklist. While taxiing the passengers were able to spot various aircraft like the A220, the A320 family, A340, A350, A380, B747, B767, B777 and the B787. The aviators on that flight took pictures of all the different aircraft that they saw they had a delectable experience. Chapter 3: The Take-off from Frankfurt After taxiing they were holding short of a Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000 and an Air India Boeing 787-8. After a Vistara Boeing 787-9 landed the Qatar Airways took-off and the Air India following the Qatar Airways. Afterwards the ATC asked LH 756 heavy to change the radio frequency to 120.8 and said bye. Afterwards the captain also said bye, then the pilots changed the frequency. Then it was time for Lufthansa to take-off so, the captain asked, “Good evening ATC, LH 756 heavy requesting lineup on runway 07 right”. “Good evening, LH756 heavy, cleared to lineup,” said ATC. “Thank you,” said the captain. The captain puts the flaps, slats (flaps and slats are instruments attached to an aircraft’s wing which creates a streamline wing reducing drag during take-off and not risking the aircraft being in a stall like situation) and lines up with the runway. The captain asks the ATC “LH 756 heavy requesting take-off clearance”. “LH 756 heavy take-off clearance approved,” said ATC. Then the captain asked the first officer to start the take-off checklist. The first officer tells to apply full thrust. So does the captain, then the first officer says v1 when they are at 140 knots (v1 is a callout which means an aircraft cannot reject a take-off because having excessive speed even if has an emergency), afterwards when they reach 160 knots the first officer says rotate (rotate meaning take-off) then he says v2 (a callout which means that the aircraft has a normal climb rate so, the flaps and slats can be retracted as well with the landing gear) . Afterwards the ATC says, “LH 756 heavy climb to forty-five hundred, head 111o and increase speed to 500 knots. “Ok thanks,” said the captain. The ATC said, “LH 756 heavy please change frequency to Munich 123.12, bye.” The captain replied, “ok, thanks, bye.” Then they connect to Munich and the flight climbs to their cruising altitude and continues to head towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja International Airport. Chapter 4: Heading to Mumbai After LH 756 heavy climbed to their cruising altitude, their flight became uneventful, the usual flight catering, and passengers started to use inflight entertainment screens (IFE screens). While they were climbing the passengers and crew saw the magnificent sunset it looked like a massive fireball was covered by a purple-ish blue blanket, then it slowly got dark and the seatbelt sign was off so, passengers can move around and use the lavatory in the flight. By this time, they were flying over the Astro-Hungarian border. Around 45 minutes after take-off, the catering was served to passengers, which had many intercontinental dishes. After catering services many people slept now, they were flying over the Romanian-Bulgarian border near the Black Sea it was an hour and 30 minutes after take-off. Then they proceeded to Mumbai flying over the Black Sea while they were flying over it heavy turbulence hit the aircraft causing passengers to be restricted to sit in their seats for almost half an hour, then entering Türkiye technically they entered the Middle East by this time the pilots who took-off from Frankfurt went to rest and gave control to the flight engineers and it was not only the pilots from the 12 flight attendants 6 of them were also on rest and catering services again started , afterwards flying over Iran exiting the Middle East once again

starting catering, then entering Pakistan at this time they were getting close to Mumbai, after flying over Pakistan they entered the Arabian Sea, they were getting close to Mumbai. Chapter 5: Landing in Mumbai Flight LH 756 started their descent to Mumbai when they started their descent and the crew resting came back on to the deck, 7 and half hours after take-off they were over the Indian land. The pilots were in contact with Mumbai ATC, the ATC told “LH 756 requesting to hold the holding pattern.” This meant LH 756 should wait to land fly around in circles until the runway is for clear for LH 756 to land/waiting for further clearance from ATC. After holding their holding pattern the ATC contacted LH 756 and said, “LH 756 cleared to approach Runway 27” and informed the weather details which included of wind speed, temperature, etc. The captain responded, “Thank you, Mumbai tower.” Then the pilots were in visible contact with the runway, they reduced their speed, applied the flaps and slats, slightly put the spoilers (an instrument attached to an aircraft’s wing which increases drag by interfering the air distribution on the wing section so, the aircraft slows down rapidly). The captain decided he would do the landing instead of ILS (Instrumental Landing System) and his co-pilot would do the landing checklist. Then the captain told to start doing the landing checklist, and so did the first officer. When they were 40ft above the runway the captain initiated a landing flare (landing flare is a type of aircraft maneuver where the nose of the aircraft goes up and the aircraft is at a tilted position so, the rear landing gear touches the runway first then the front landing gear resulting in a soft landing which aviators call “butter landing”), just before the captain initiated the flare the first officer tells thrust ideal meaning the there should be no thrust and the throttle should be back then when the aircraft touches down the first officer says reverse thrust (changing the angle of propeller blades to alter the direction of the exhaust airflow) and the captain does that then they slow down and towards Terminal 2 gate A1. They had a one-time landing at 02:45 UTC Chapter 6: At Mumbai Airport While heading towards the gate the crew makes the announcement about the weather outside, time, formalities that passengers must do while leaving the aircraft or who are continuing their journey to Sydney and thanking the passengers for choosing Lufthansa. Soon after the announcement the airbridge got connected then the passengers whose destination was Mumbai or had a layover at Mumbai disembarked. While passengers were disembarking the ground started refueling and catering was going on. Then the pilots and crew got out of the plane and handed over the jumbo-bird to the second leg crew. After the 2nd leg crew came, the pilots inspected the aircraft and went inside of the aircraft. This time the pilots were experienced but less than the last pilots operating the aircraft with the captain having around 3500 hours (about 5 months) experience, first officer having 3000 and the flight engineers having around 2250 hours (about 3 months) experience of flying. The passengers inside who were waiting for the plane to leave for Sydney got light snacks which included a choice of mixed dried fruits or chips with a choice of beverage. After the passengers disembarked the passengers traveling to Sydney boarded. While all this was happening, there was a sweet German classical melody playing in the cabin to relax the passengers and crew’s minds. As the boarding completed, passengers were greeted again with beverages and choose between a hot or cold towel. As they completed the service or cold tower according to their preference. As soon as the boarding was completed the pilots requested the ground crew to leave the aircraft and then the cabin crew to close the doors and arm them. Afterwards the cabin crew informed the safety features of the Boeing 747-8I in English first then in German to the passengers. As the cabin crew was informing the safety features the captain asked the ATC (Air Traffic Control) “Good morning, Mumbai tower, LH756 heavy requesting pushback”. “Good morning, LH756 heavy, you are cleared to pushback, you would be taking-off from Runway 27 Right the same runway that you landed so, while pushback you will be facing your right,” said the ATC. “Thank you, ATC” said the captain of LH756 then he asked the co-pilot to start pushback checklist. During the pushback, the captain asked the ATC for engine startup “LH756 heavy requesting engine startup”. The ATC answered “LH756 heavy cleared for engine startup”.

Chapter 7: Off To Sydney After taxiing they were waiting for an Air India Express (AIX) flight to land, it was a Boeing 737-800 coming from Dubai. Then after the AIX landed, the ATC contacted LH756 and told “LH756 heavy, change radio frequency to 024.7, bye”. Then the captain of LH756 replied “LH756 heavy, changing frequency to 024.7, thank you and bye”. Immediately the captain asked the co-pilot to change frequency to 024.7, and so did the co-pilot. Then the captain contacted the ATC and told “Good morning ATC, this is LH756 requesting for runway line up”. The ATC replied, “Good morning, LH756 you are cleared to line up and immediate take-off". Then the captain told “LH756 heavy, thank you ATC.” After that, the captain asked the co-pilot to apply flaps and slats and told “Sir we will be doing an immediate take-off as per instructions from ATC.” the first officer replied, “Ok sir.” Then, the captain instructs the crew to be seated for take-off, lines up the aircraft, and tells the first officer to start the take-off checklist. After lining up the take-off sequence starts then, captain applies full thrust so, passengers and crew hear the epic roar of the GEnx-2B engines. When they accelerate to 135knots the first officer says V1, then when they reach 160 knots the first officer says rotate as soon the first officer says that the captain pulls up the yoke thus leading the aircraft to take-off soon after the first officer says V2 so, the captain retracts the landing gear, flaps, and slats. Then the ATC contacts them and tells “LH756 heavy change frequency to 079.9 bye”. Then the captain replies “LH756 heavy changing frequency to 079.9, thanks, bye”. They had on time departure. Then they change frequency and go to their cruising altitude. Chapter 8: Mid-flight After taking off from Mumbai, passengers could use their IFE screens, then they were served breakfast by the crew flying over the Oxford of The East (Pune), about 45 minutes after take-off. The catering was completed quite fast, taking just an hour, so the crew could now have their own meals. Now the 747 was at its cruising altitude so, the flight engineers took over and the captain along with the first officer and half flight attendants went to rest. Now they had completed two tenths of their flight and flew over the Bay of Bengal heading to their next way point which was near Andaman and Nicobar Islands. At this point, the flight was uneventful and nothing much interesting had happened. Some people were sleeping, some were watching movies and shows on their IFE screens, and some were listening to music. As they crossed the Andaman and Nicobar Islands there was some heavy turbulence due to the weather outside now it was about three tenths on to the flight. They soon got out of the turbulence and were heading towards the north-western part of Sumatra. The crew were also socializing with each other by now, they got to know about each other and started having small talks. As they enter the Indonesian airspace the pilots and passengers witnessed blue, purple, and whitish lights hitting the windows and wings of the aircraft. The pilots knew what it was so, they informed the passengers “Greetings dear, passengers we have noticed some purple-ish, blue and white light maybe hitting your windows please do not get worried it is a St. Elmo’s fire which occurs due to the ground below having a storm which is electrically charged, and there is high voltage in the air between the cloud and the ground. You can put on your seatbelts, sit back, and watch the lightshow.” Few moments later passengers seated next to the wings report that they smell a weird odor to the flight attendant the passengers described it like the smell from rotten eggs so, the flight attendant reports it to the relief pilots then the relief pilots ask the captain and first officer to come to the cockpit after, they come to the cockpit the relief pilots tell them about the situation and the captains says “I hope this isn’t a volcanic ash

Named City of Edinburgh, the three-year-old aircraft was scheduled to make four stops in Mumbai (Bombay), Kuala Lumpur, Perth, and Melbourne before flying on to Auckland. However, an alarming encounter with a volcanic ash cloud forced the flight to divert). The first officer replies in confidence “But, sir in our weather reports and radars we didn't report any volcanic eruptions and volcanic ashes.” The captain replies “It’s better to be safe than sorry.” “So, what shall we do?” asks the first officer. The captain says, “We’ll ask EK 412, who was flying over this area about 15 minutes ago, they also are going to Sydney”. So, the first officer asks EK412 about it and they reply that nothing was reported like that. Then the crew decides to go on with their original flight plan. Chapter 9: When Things Went South Continuing with their original flight plan was not a wise decision. Despite the radars and reports showing clear skies the pilots turned on the de-icing mechanism and seatbelt sign as a precaution. Soon smoke accumulated around the cabin and the crew thought it was an electrical issue so, the pilots investigated, they found no electrical malfunction. The oxygen mask dropped as the density of the smoke increased. At 9:28 UTC engine 1 flamed out and seconds later engine 4 also copied. The pilots immediately turned the engines off and armed the fire extinguishers. Soon after these failures engine 2 and 3 flamed out. The pilots again turned the engines off and armed the fire extinguishers. Now the jumbo bird was flying with zero power, the 747 had a gliding ratio of 15:1 meaning the aircraft can fly 15 nautical miles every thousand feet so, the 747 can be airborne for 45 minutes at the longest and travel around 675 nautical miles. Luckily, the pilots could land at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) which was around 330 nautical miles away. The captain declared an emergency he made a mayday call to Kuala Lumpur ATC “LH 756 mayday, mayday, mayday, we are having an emergency all engines are flamed out we are requesting for an emergency landing in KUL”. After contacting the ATC the captain made an announcement to passengers as calm as possible said “Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking, we have run into a slight problem. 4 of our engines have stopped working and we are diverting to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Here on the flight deck we are trying our best to assess this situation. I assure you we will land safely in Kuala Lumpur. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.” Then while heading to Kuala Lumpur the crew tried to restart the engines but once again, failed. They even tried to use the RAT (Ram Air Turbine) yet failed. Chapter 10: Landing at Kuala Lumpur A wonder had occurred as the aircraft was on its final approach to KUL the engines started to function. But the pilots could not see a thing, it looked like the windshield had been sandblasted due to the fragments from the ash clouds hitting the windshield. To add on to more problems, the ILS was under maintenance on that day so, it would be a visual landing without any visibility. The captain decided to land. He told the first officer to do landing checklist, he put the flaps and slats and retracted the landing gear. Moments later a screech is heard from the landing gear touching down and braking. As soon as the touchdown everyone applauds as loud as possible. The aircraft comes to a halt on the runway, air-stairs are connected, and passengers get out and go to the terminal in buses. Then followed by the crew. Chapter 11: Investigation The German Civil Aviation Authority, DGCA India (Directorial General of Civil Aviation India), DGCA Indonesia and CAAM (Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia) came together and investigated upon the incident, they made an eerie connection with BA009 that both incidents had the similar issues and story. So, their hypothesis says that the aircraft's weather radar was set up to detect moisture, but, because the ash cloud was dry, this phenomenon did not show up. Because of the abrasive nature of the ash, it effectively sandblasted the windshield and landing lights, while also clogging the engines. As the ash was ingested into the engines, it melted and stuck to the inside

of the powerplant. When the crew shut the engines down, they cooled off, solidifying the ash to the extent that as the aircraft descended, it started to break off and flow through the engines. With air now flowing smoothly through the engines once more, the crew was able to make use of a generator and onboard batteries to restart the engines, preventing what could have been a horrific accident. Halloween treasure By Nivedh Sai Reddy PYP5B Chapter 1-the curious five Once in the year 2030, there was a small town named Macaw. It was in between a huge forest. They were a group of five kids with two dogs. Dharsh, Niv, Shiv, Ved, and Rinav were a gang of five boys who were always curious about the town’s mysteries. They used to read a lot of history associated with the town in their school. They formed a group to solve local mysteries like missing dogs, missing phones, etc. in the towns. They were known in the community for their mysterysolving abilities and were famous in the town. Once they found two runaway dogs while solving a missing pet mystery, since no one took these puppies, they adopted them. They named them Scooby and Pepper. They were trained to help the group to solve mysteries. The curious five is what they called themselves. The town was famous for its Halloween festival. This festival was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in this town. All the houses decorated their garden and front door with Halloween decorations and spooky stuff. The kids go around the houses asking for treats. On Halloween night the curious five went trick-or-treating all around the town. It was super fun as Niv and Ved had learned a few tricks and were very happy to show off their talents in different houses. Chapter 2-the strange noise? After their fun walk around the town, the boys went back home with their tummy full of candies.as they were tired walking they decided to take a shorter route to their houses which were on the other side of town. They had to cross through the forest, so they took out their torches and started talking about scary stories they had heard their grandparents say. The dogs were walking in the front and the five boys were walking behind. When they were almost at their houses, they heard a strange noise. In the dark they couldn’t find out where the noise was coming from so, they decided that they were going to come back in the morning to see where the noise was coming from. Chapter 3-the suspicious noise! When they came in the morning to find out where the noise was coming from, they were all in shock when they got to know what was making the noise. They started searching the area thoroughly, they found a Jack’o lantern continuously oscillating. When they cracked open the pumpkin, they saw a big, long glass bottle fall out of it. They were all so curious to see what was in it. It had a few sand particles with a piece of paper rolled up and tied with a twig.

They took it back to their tree house to observe it clearly under a lens. The paper note was a little torn and the writing on it was blurry. The sand from the bottle looked like from the beach. They knew what it was, it was a message sent through the sea. The note had a secret message that said there was a treasure chest that contained macaw town’s gold coins. All the boys were so puzzled, they had to solve this with all their skills. They went to their school library to research the town’s treasures. In one of the books, it said there was a pirate who used to rob the ships that sailed near the town, and he used to melt all the gold and make it into coins with the town symbol and name on it. He hid all these coins in the forest many years ago. The town’s authorities tried searching the forest area but couldn’t find any. Chapter 4 – the secret tunnel The boys put on their forest gear and took their camping bags. They were planning to spend the weekend in the forest with the dogs. Since their parents didn't allow them to do it alone, they were accompanied by their uncle Tom who would guard them on their night stay. The first day they started early hours as soon as the sun was up. They spread out the forest map, marked all the zones of search, and split up into three groups to cover more area. By afternoon they had finished searching at least 30% of the forest. They were tired, hungry, and thirsty so they decided to take a break. They found an old building in the forest which was once a shelter for the soldiers during war. They decided to eat their snacks and rest for a while there. The building was spooky, it had a lot of cobwebs and old broken furniture. In one of the rooms, they saw a map with a plus mark in one of the forest areas. They decided to check on it on their way back to the campsite. They reached the red plus mark, it had nothing but just lots of bushes and grass. Suddenly one of the boys stepped on grass where a door opened, and he fell into a pit. Everyone was so scared they ran to help him up. The boys used a rope to pull him up. But later they realized that it was a secret door to a tunnel. So, all the boys got down into the pit with the rope and used their torch to walk through the tunnel. Chapter 5- the surprise treasure The tunnel was a long way, they nearly walked for 1 km then they saw a huge cave that opened into the beach. They couldn’t believe what they saw. Then they just had fun playing in the beach. As it got dark, they returned to the tunnel. When they were walking through the tunnel, they saw a big pile of rocks and mud inside the tunnel. They began digging through it. They found a huge metal box rusted and heavy.

The box could not be moved as it was under the rocks. Two of the boys went back to the camp to get their uncle to help them move the box. Finally, with their uncle's help they could remove all the rocks. The box had a huge lock. Their uncle suggested they take it back home and break it open. At their home, all the boys were curious to see what was in the old box. They finally opened it with a huge hammer. The box was filled with sand and seaweed. Then they cleaned all the dirt to find one huge gold coin. They all shouted hurray! They were all so happy that they finally found the treasure. They called all their parents; they cleaned the coin and gave it to the town’s government. The coin was kept in the town’s museum with a huge picture of the curious five as the great detectives who found this treasure.

The story of Benny the footballer By Darshith PYP5B Chapter:1 A fine footballer Once upon a time, there was a boy named Benny. And he loved to watch and play football. Because his dad was pro football player named Bulk. He would go to his dad’s matches, watch him play at home[training], and his dad is a pro he gets free stuff from the football club [sunderland]. He would get to meet the other players too1. Benny was very lucky until… 14 years later his dad died due to cancer .Benny was sad, but he was determined to become a pro footballer, and he was even more determined to fill in his dad’s shoes, that means he has to go to sunderland football academy and in the future win 2 premier leagues,4 uefa champions leagues,1 ballon do’r,2 uefa mens player of the year,1 puskas award,1 finest footballer plaque, and one fifa world cup [for England] . Benny used to skip his classes to go play football in the fields. Eventually he would get expelled from his school. After being expelled he had nothing to do except for training every single day. And he would take extra classes in sunderland football academy. Chapter:2 Selection match One day he went class like it was a normal day, but the coach was announcing something big they were having a competition in another football coaching. But only a few players will be selected and will be playing in the competition. After class he was ready to train his hardest to get ready for the selection day for the competition. Next day in class they played a match so the coach could select people depending on how the play. Benny is a left winger just like his dad, but he was forced to be a defender which he is not that good at. Benny thought that he had a low chance getting selected because if you are a forward player, you assist and score goals, and if you assist or score you have a better chance of being selected. But benny had a dirty plan, he would not pass to his teammates he would dribble all the way to the other side of the pitch and try to score. The match kicked off and defenders are supposed to be near the goal post and wait for the opponent team to come and slide tackle or tackle right? But he just ran forward, and it was the start of the game, so his teammates did not even notice that he was forward. Benny got the ball and ran but he got tackled and the opposing team had a counterattack. Rushing back the team realized that there was no defender and other team scored! Benny was thinking why did I run forward? Now probably the dude who scored is selected and now there are only 7 more spots left. After getting yelled at from his teammates he was going to stay back and defend. Benny was very nervous that he wasn’t going to get selected. His team wasn’t playing very well so during half time his team captain decided that benny would play forward. Now that Benny is playing forward, he thinks that he has

a better chance of being selected. The match just started, and Benny is now striking he can now assist and score some goals. Defender passes to midfielder, midfielder to striker goal!!!!!!!!!!! Benny’s team scored! Goal after goal after goal. In benny’s mind if 2 more people score goals and he isn’t one of them he may not be selected. One more person from the opposing team scored. Benny must score to have a chance of being selected. Benny is sweating his face of running with the ball skilling every single one of them and finally Benny scored a banger shot into the top corner. Benny was very relieved that he scored a goal. He was celebrating the whole time until on guy named mike scored from the other team that means 1 out of the 8 people who scored are not getting selected. Full time, Benny left mostly happy but little nervous. Chapter:3 selection day Benny was entering class looking very nervous, but he was very exited to know who got selected. The coach was still writing down the names of the people who will be playing in the competition. He took along time to choose between two people. Benny is thinking that because he ran forward in the start of the game, that he was choosing between him and some other guy. Benny should stop being nervous because coach called his name first! Benny was on top of the moon. Chapter:4 competition week Now that Benny got selected, he must train extra to try and win games. The next class they would go to the academy that is hosting the football competition. Benny entered that football pitch with confidence. But then benny did something very unexpected he asked the coach if he can play as defender for this match, Because Benny wants to become his own person/football player. The coach said sure, but you can’t play the first half, Benny was mad that he didn’t get to play the first half of the game, but he wants his name to be Benny not Bulk.

Mystery? By Avni Jain PYP5B I am Eleanor and I come from Hong Kong, with my two other friends Charlotte and Lucas. We all stay in the same house; we have known each other since we were born! Have you read/watched Anne Frank? Our story is the same! (but I don’t die at 15). Chapter 1 - Creepy Man One day we were coming back from School alone when we saw someone following us. We didn't think much at first, but a few minutes later he was hot on our tail. There are 5 minutes till our house, so we ran (fast). He Caught up with us in seconds, he held Charlotte hand put a note and ran the other way. *At home* Once we came home. We told our parents about the note and what happened. And the conversation went like this: Charlotte - “a man was following us and gave us a note it read”: Get out of the house at 2:00 am sharp or else your parents will die! (I am watching you). Parents: “Guys, we need to go to the police now!” *At police that station* They told him what happened and showed the note to them. He was not so smart; his DNA was on the note, so they copied the DNA on the note. One of the police officers suggested we stay in the SAFE HOUSE. Chapter 2 – Marshmallow So, we all were taking our basic needs. Then I came across a note under my bed it said: You better not tell the police about me or else.

I immediately showed my parents, my dad took it and when we were all done packing, we went to the safe house. My dad showed the note to the police. They took it and went to check if the DNA was the same. Soon the police found out that he was a wanted criminal, his name was Alexander. He was going to different countries, and we were the target this time. The police suggested we semi-settled in a different city. For our safety, our parents said yes. We all decided that we were going to semi settle in Bruges, Belgium. God dam this place was beautiful. Me, Charlotte and Lucas went to explore we stopped by a box which said free baby Samoyed with a baby Samoyed inside. We took it home to show our parents. They couldn't saw no because it was too cute. *Weeks later* We decided to name him Marshmallow, love the name. The name. Later Marshmallow started acting weird, he would always try to take us somewhere today we let him take us. He took us to..............! Chapter 3 – The House He took us to a hut? What did that mean, confused we went in. There was the same creepy man, me Charlotte and Lucas got scared (really). My mom took the 3 of us outside so we were safe. We heard them talk mom called the police but told them to not turn on the siren or he would run away. When the police came the marshmallow started barking as he loves cars. Alexander saw the car from the back of his eye, he jumped out of the window, snapped, a black car came, and he hoped in, and they drove off. My dad had a talk with the police that we can't keep moving. We need a safer place to stay. We can't risk our kid's life. That same night we felt more safer because a police officer was guarding the front door. Days pasted and no sign of him. Chapter 4 – Alexander Not the Great *In the evening* The police officer took me, Charlotte and Lucas to the mall cause our parents were busy when we came home there was blood on the floor! The we could hear someone coming so the police officer lifted the carpet opened a door underneath the carpet pushed us inside the secret room closed the door and covered the door with the carpet. In the room was another police officer, we were so confused. We asked the police officer why there was blood of the floor. He told alexander killed our parents. Me Lucas and Charlotte couldn’t stop crying, why did he kill our parents? Chapter 5 - Explanation So, we came out of the secret room, and we went to the police station. The car was running out of gas, so we went to get more gas. Next to the gas station was a farm I kept hearing “HELP”, so I told the police officer. After the gas was filled, we went to the farm. The officer went to the farm with us; we 3 screamed in joy. Our parents were alive! This time the police officer caught alexander and shoved him in the back seat. Chapter 6 – The Final

Alexander was sent to court. He was sent to jail for 7 years. Now we are finally safe Clear. And we even moved back to Hong Kong. Then Alexander was sent to questioning and he told him he did all this for fun. Our story was All over the news. Later the police told us. The Animation: By Dripto Chakraborty PYP5B Warning: - This Story is fictional – Hi, my name is Sarmento and today, Monday 21st 3047, I show you an incident that happened when I was surfing through the XPSuPreMe search engine when I saw a time portal open in my computer which showed “TIME PORTAL TO YEAR 2023, DRIPTO ENGINE STICKMAN”. I was surprised and shocked to see that I was being led into a time portal who had my long great grandfather, Dripto Leven Chakraborty whom I do not know a single thing about. So, I clicked the time portal and felt dizzy and went to the year 2023 in a very unusual house (Which later turned out to be a basic 2023ian apartment.). Then a small boy came to me and said “AAAH, who are you!?” and I explained to him who I was and how did I end up here. He told me that I was his long great grandfather and remembered an old sheet of paper lying in one of his old cupboards. But there was a problem, how would we go without being noticed? Never mind, I have an invisibility machine which made us invisible. He took out a faded sheet of paper and told me that he got it inside one of his mother’s newspapers. He told me that his computer had been badly cyberattacked by a virus named Time future and that caused a time warp to form in his computer to a place where computer stickmen live. I told him that did he have a drawing editor and he said yes. He opened the computer and I saw a very unusual, hacked screen. He then opened the application named Editor and saw a time portal near the screen. I immediately told him to draw a stick figure in the exact coordinates, 254,408 which made the stick figure come in life and take us inside the time warp and we fell from a very high place with thousands of usernames and password at the top and landed on a cartoonish lake and land. I saw my hands and was flabbergasted to see that I was a stick figure! Then suddenly someone (Deb Squash) came near me and said, “Well, I see you have come again, Sarmento. How’s ye life doing?”. He is a computer swash boggling hacker and the greatest rival of our civilization. He used to be a nice man in real life and said every food was scrumdiddlyumptious. He was also my closest friend but now let me tell you the scary story. Later when he was making a new antivirus, he made some mistakes in the code and formed a time portal and exploded to form a virus named Time Future which we encountered in Dripto’s computer. Now he was not dead, but his brain and body changed to a deadly opposite which meant he turned into a stickman, turned evil, and was stuck in his computer forever. I quickly took out my phone and called all my friends who quickly became stickmen and joined the world not long before Deb drew a knife and nearly sliced my head in half. He told me to have a challenge before me and my friends quickly took out our weapons and dove into the lake to hide in a shipwreck we found. We hid under a trapdoor in the ship and made ourselves ready to defend.

We turned into our god-mode forms which namely I was Endstorm, with others being respectively Lifes, Firestorm, Nightshine, Water and Spiderflash. He came and we started the fight with our powers. But instantly we teleported to a city where he threw a lightning bolt from the sky and killed Water as he was a form full of water which caused him to get conducted, instantly killing him. Firestorm told him he would take the lead and blew him up with his fire abilities. But Deb blocked him, and they both started fighting until Firestorm and Nightshine lost both their powers and became normal humans and ran away. With Lifer and me remaining, we both started fighting as I pushed him, making him lose the ability to hover and fall and get injured. But then I just realized he has the ability to consume powers and he did that to Lifer, now having the ability to be immortal. Now it was me vs him. So, we now start to aggressively fight with each other, throwing things at each other, with me going at the speed of light by Spider flash and entering Area 51. I made some ultrasonic noises, not just for fun, but for calling aliens from space, to be precise, four light years away in the Alpha Centauri System, Mors Planeta. They came with many indestructible weapons, such as bombs, death rays, etc. I told them to hide so that when he comes we will all attack at once and end this fight. So they hid and me and Spiderflash just stood on the ground. When he came, he said “ Είναι καιρός να παραδοθείτε, Endstorm, ή η πραγματική σας μορφή, ένας άνθρωπος. Εντάξει, τώρα δώσε μου τις δυνάμεις σου.” I did not know he could speak Greek! Anyways he told me to surrender and give me my powers. I said no and snapped when all the aliens came out and destroyed him completley, with me removing nearly all his powers. He ran down to a radioactive test room, where I got a nuclear bomb and destroyed him. He was finally dead ! I rebirth all my team members and we went to get Dripto, who was very happy and we said goodbye to each other and left with me and Dripto, where we went back to present time and Timefuture was removed from his computer and we were renowed and awarded many awards for deafeating the legendary Deb Squash. From bad to good BY Fateh Vir Sing Bedi PYP5B Once upon a time, there lived a small boy who lived in a big city. He had been living on the streets ever since his parents died in a car accident when he was three years old. The boy had no one to rely on and was struggling to survive without much food or any water all by himself. He had been living like this for seven years in this miserable condition. While his parents were alive, he took everything for granted as his family was very rich, but only now had he started understanding the value of things like food, water, clothes, etc. One day, while he was looking around and begging for food, a man in black clothes came up to him and said that he would give him food if he followed the man in black clothes, but the gullible boy followed him when the man picked him up and threw him into a sack and threw him in a van [or what felt like a van because he couldn’t see inside the sack] the boy was now kidnapped. But luckily, he noticed a hole in the sack and immediately knew that he could stretch the hole until it was big enough for him to escape from, he managed to open the sack, but could he jump out of a moving van? He looked out through a window in the van which was just about big enough for him to jump out from while he was trying to squeeze himself through the window, the guy in black clothes was singing a loud song in the front of the van which really did not fit the theme of what was happening right now. He finally got out of the window, but all he had to do now was jump. So, he gathered his courage and jumped out. He hit the ground hard and now had an injury to his right arm, he smiled at the thought of the look on the face of the man in black clothes when he noticed the boy was missing. But his smile vanished when he looked around and found himself stranded in the middle of a huge jungle, with no idea of what to do or where to go next. Tired and scared, the boy stumbled upon an old hut in the middle of the jungle. He went inside it and asked if anyone was there. No one replied. He decided to rest in the hut for the night or maybe even a few more days if no one came to help him. But little did he know this would be the start of a big adventure for him that would change his life. On a shelf in the hut, there was a wooden bowl with what looked like soup in it. The boy did not hesitate. He put the wooden bowl to his mouth and gulped the soup down. For some reason it was hot. Why it was hot is something that the boy never found out. After about five minutes of drinking the soup, the boy started feeling very sleepy and lay down on the floor and went to sleep

The next morning, the boy woke up to find a mysterious entrance in the hut. He had not seen this before when he had arrived in the hut. He cautiously stepped in, not knowing where it would take him to. To his surprise, he found a wall glowing purple in colour he touched it, but his hand simply went through the wall. He then jumped in it to find himself in a world full of magical creatures and beautiful lands. He quickly realized that this was no ordinary world. He was in a completely different realm, a different dimension, much different from Earth which he soon discovered was called the γη του tou Μαγεία in their language. As he explored this new world, the boy met many interesting people [most were not people] and magical creatures. The boy also encountered magical beings such as fairies, elves, and even talking animals. He also encountered a few scary and dangerous creatures, but he managed to stay away from them [most of them]. This world was so much more different from where he came from. The boy made a lot of new friends and had a lot of incredible adventures with his friends. He even found a magical sword that would help him in all his battles against the evil forces of this world. He even became recognized as a hero in this world. But all good things come to an end. The boy eventually found himself back in the hut in the jungle but not in the body of the frail young boy he had been before, but as a strong and healthy grown man. not knowing how long he had been gone. He decided to stay in the hut and make it his home. He also started a farm in the jungle and over the years, more and more people started living there with him until it became a very famous place all over the world it is these days known as Corfu. From then on, the boy would often go on adventures into the Land of Wonders. He would help people in need and fight against evil forces. He was also able to make a living by scavenging for food and selling items he found in the Land of Wonders. The boy lived happily in the jungle hut for many years. He eventually grew a lot older and wiser, but he never forgot the magical world that he had discovered. The boy's story of adventure and courage has been passed down through generations and is still remembered today. It is a reminder to all of us that no matter how small or helpless we may seem, we all have the power to do great things whether you are disabled or poor.

The Haunted House in Forgotten Hill By Humisha Thyagraj PYP5B One random evening, Danielle decided to go camping that weekend and, since she had no one to go with, she invited her friends Hayley, Mimi, and Hannah. She called them and confirmed with them whether they could go with her, and everyone was allowed to, so she was happy to go camping with her friends. They were all excited and started packing so they could have the best time ever. They all left the house and started driving to the camping spot in which they planned to camp in, and it was next to a forest. After driving for 2 hours, they finally arrived and they all set up their tents and Hannah decided to explore the area, so she went around the whole place while Danielle, Mimi and Hayley were gathering wood to make a fire. After a few hours when everyone came back it started raining heavily and their tents could not stand in the rain and suddenly Hayley remembered she saw a house near the forest, so they all went there and rang the doorbell and suddenly the door opened but no one was there inside. Hannah went inside and everyone else followed the house was covered in cobwebs and there were spiders everywhere and creepy statues of villains and monsters. The house looked like a haunted house, and it was also abandoned. Mimi remembered that she read a book about a place called the Forgotten hill and the house they were in looked like one of the houses in forgotten hill. After she told everyone, they started to get scared because everybody who lived in this house had disappeared never to be seen again. They knew they had to get out of there and they tried exiting the house, but all the doors were locked and so were the windows, they even tried breaking the windows, but the glass was super strong, and it did not break. They went into every room and when they came back to the front door, they saw a note saying “If you want to survive you need to escape before 24 hours before or else you will also disappear and end up like all the previous owners or people who used to live here. Your first clue is on the back of this paper” Danielle was good at escape rooms, and she would finish the hardest escape rooms in under an hour, so this was easy for her, she went around the whole house and did all the clues and finally finished. When she solved everything, the door suddenly opened and they all ran out of the house and went back to the car and drove back home, they decided to never ever come here ever again but Everyone still wondered who was doing all of this? Who is the owner of Forgotten Hill? There were so many questions but for now they escaped and went back home.

End of Mercury By Krithik Perumal PYP5B And they have done it! … those were the first words on the radio when the mission ‘Mercury 5’ had been named a success. The Earth had evolved a lot, that including the people as the Earth was crumbling, decomposing. That’s when a space scientist named Erickson had an idea to send a group of astronauts to a distance as they found a new planet like Earth. They were troubled as previously a rocket named the SM-35 tried to go to a closer planet, but they failed, costing the lives of 7 people. Fast-forward to the present, they needed to make a suit that would survive all environments, while also needing a Rocket fit for the journey. It would take months to finish. As time flew by, they were ready they picked a group of 6, and completed their suits. Now they would need a proper launch. The date was October 11, 4:35. They started the mission 3, 2, 1, Launch! As the rocket started shooting out of the Earth The only thing they could do, is hope that they succeed. As many minutes go by the whole world was watching… One of the explorers named Nick responded with 'Do we have any food up here?'. As they said that everything was responding and that they were good, everyone down on Earth were joyful. Erickson responded with 'Yes, yes we do have food up there'. Right now, they just had to start their journey as they won't know what is coming up for them. Two hours and 30 minutes passed as they quickly found a problem. Up ahead was a giant cluster of asteroids with humongous meteors. It was coming right towards them. Every minute counted as they soon found a small planet without knowing what would be there. The previous SM-35 tried to go to this planet but had malfunctions. The ship started making sounds in which they would need to check up but not now. As an asteroid hit the ship, they started setting track to the new planet. As they slowly start landing, they check the air to make sure that it is safe for them. The test shows that the air is good, but they don’t know what will be on that planet. As the door hisses open, they get their laser guns and start going around the place. It was muddy and wet, just as they saw footsteps that weren't theirs, they realized that there were other creatures on that planet. They went deeper into the giant forest until one person suddenly disappears. They looked around and felt ill. They could hear the leaves rustling. Out of nowhere a mandrill starts making noises, like calling others. The next thing they know, the mandrill starts chasing them. They ran for their lives as it starts becoming aggressive. They ran and ran and run until they finally got it away. They found a small cave just enough to fit them, they decided to set camp in the cave and that they would return to the ship the next morning. The team woke up early and began on the journey quickly without wasting time. They started going towards the ship as they got closer and closer. They got to the ship while finding small footsteps around the place. They look around the place to find the ship damaged by the asteroids. With the emergency utilities found by them, they fixed the ship. By then, it was about to be sundown and they needed to get ready to make a big step and move out of the planet. They swiftly got into the ship and began the advancement. The ship made a nice sound as the engine started. Just as they knew it they were off the planet. But there was a problem. The system spotted something at the last and 3rd part of the ship. It was sensing movement when it shouldn't

be there. It gave a slow alarm, and they went to check it out. Nick asked one of the passengers to go check it out and tell us what was happening, but they did know how important it would be. Minutes go by and they didn't get anything for the passenger. The passenger’s name was Ryan and what nick saw through the window were the remains of Ryan. Following the trail was none other than 3 mandrills that got on board. No one expected them to come on, but they did, and it cost the life of 1 person. Nick soon ran to the main cockpit and told everyone what happened. They didn't know how to finish the mandrills of. As it was a moment of silence for Ryan, they later got an idea. Nick informed two people to come with him, with three laser guns. They decide to try and eliminate all of the mandrills and dispose them in space. They go to the last room of the ship and look into the glass in the door. They also told the main pilot whose name was Amelia to continue the mission even if anything would go wrong, Nick and his partners called Alec, and his older brother Andiron and out of the rest they had a big connection. As Nick was slowly walking towards the door, they had a countdown. On three. 3! As they swiftly opened the door, they hit the violent mandrills. One by one. After the match they finally terminated all the mandrills, and they opened the far end door in the back so that everything would vacuum into space. A while after the fuss as it was like nothing bad was going to happen, nothing happened. It was weird as they finally don’t have a problem, and the fact that there wasn’t any chaos. They all sat down Nick, Alec, and Andiron. There were two piolets the main one was Amelia, and the navigator was Ella. They have a quick snack and were on the move. To pass time they went around the ship to see what was there. Nick went on to find comic books about his favorite’s heroes. Alec went on to find his childhood chocolate and Andiron was drawing as he always would. They decided to take shifts for the navigating and control area so everyone can rest. They were getting much closer and they could see the planet. Once they laid eyes on the planet, they now understood why the scientists wanted to go to this exact planet. It was amazing with water all around it and had beautiful green lands. They soon informed the people on Earth that they were close and that it would take a few hours to get there. They said that there no way to make sure that the mission would be successful. After a while they looked at the planet and realized that they were only minutes away. They all got ready to see life on a new planet. They put their suits on, and they were ready to face anything. The ship landed and they were on the news on Earth, as Nick thought what they would think of us back there. The doors hissed once again, and they couldn't believe their eyes. They found a new planet with and living ecosystem just like Earth. Go a few years from now and you'll find a new plant like Earth with civilization including animals and creatures, as they will never forget the mission of Mercury 5. The end

Head full of thoughts By Marie Christina Angel PYP 5B Thought 1: Mr. stick or Mrs. twig? One sunny day, on the planet Lily, there lived an alien called Ally. Ally was young and was always in a dreamy state. He did not know how to drive a spaceship well, but he was good at it. He loved to explore and his favorite color is green. He planned a vacation to Uranus which was about 2.5 million light years away. On the way he bumped into a rock in mid space and turned off course to planet earth. When he reached the atmosphere, he realized that he was on earth, not Uranus. He clicked the button ‘back’ but found it not working. He tried to turn back but there was so much pressure that it flew into a mountain opposite to goa. There he saw a shepherd boy grazing his sheep at the grassy side of the mountain. He was relieved that he was not alone on this new planet. But he was afraid that he would scare everybody as he was not human. He also thought of how he used to have mind movies about people and imagining that they would do something to him…………... And knowing that it was not real was like thinking that the sun had vanished. ‘I will have to do this’ thought Ally. So, he put on his anti-alien suit and stepped outside. It was a lovely spring with flowers galore and beautiful green grass which sprang across the side of the mountain. Ally was so dazzled that he did not notice the shepherd boy peeking at him! When he turned back to see where his ship was, he realized the boy was staring at him. He looked at the boy for a minute and thought ‘He is holding a stick..........he will probably poke me with that twig and....who is he? probably a shepherd......got to run otherwise he will poke me sooner or later.’ He looked at the boy for one more minute. Then he ran downhill, as fast as lightning! He raced down the mountain and when he reached the bottom of the mountain, he saw a dot which became a blob that became a figure which became......what looked like a girl! She had a knife, and she wore a pink robe made of satin. He looked at her for a minute and thought ‘She is going to poke me! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!’. Again, he ran but this time into a city full of lights and stalls. Thought 2: Run out of the city! Ally was dazzled by the beautiful lights in front of him. It sure looked like heaven. He was even more amazed by the stalls beside the road. He saw how the people in the city were celebrating in unison and shouting with joy. He could hear distant trumpet calls from afar. He was so mesmerized by it that he did not notice that everyone had stopped celebrating and was staring at him. Finally, when he got back to his senses, he then started walking towards a stall which was selling some maps & he realized that all the citizens were watching him, Even the shopkeeper! He stared at them back. Then as if he could not control it, he thought ‘oh my! They are staring at me as if I were an alien!’ Then, he realized that his suit had worn out. ‘Oh no. I am in big, big, big, Trouble!’ He ran. Oh boy how fast he ran! It would have been just a minute before he reached over, let us estimate, about 5,000 kms (about 3106.86 mi) across a country. He finally stopped in a deserted place, over 40,000 kms (about 24854.85 mi) from goa. He was, in fact, in a place called ‘Gujarat.’ He thought ‘Now I am lost.’ But he sure was not! Thought 3: Maps are great!

was completely confused. Questions like: Where are we? What is this place? How did I come here? Am I alone? Or is this a dessert? we are forming in his mind. He walked toward a shining city with lights. It was nighttime here and everyone was sleeping but some people were having a party. Ally thought of joining them. But on second thoughts, stopped himself. He did not have a suit since his anti-alien one had worn out as he had run a long way from that town. So, he decided to sneak in and grab a snack. He made no noise as he moved to the bouquet full of delicious food. He grabbed a piece of cake and ran away. He went into another town and found himself strolling into a shop. He saw maps pinned to the wall which also covered the ceiling. He saw one map that was interesting to look at. He melted the pins that were used in the map to shape them into a coin. Finally, he made 50 coins. Then, he asked the shopkeeper: ‘how much is this?’ he replied ‘Rs 20’. Ally handed him 20 Rs. As he strolled out of the shop, he glanced at his newfound map. The map was labelled ‘Gujarat’ and it had a variety of lines in rows and columns full of dots with tiny labels. Ally squinted at them. Each of them represented a place or station or even a house! Some of them were labelled as in the following: Gujarat gas CNG station, hotel Orion, Nana Madad primary school, Bimora caves, He thought to himself: what time is it now? I need to go back to my ship! Thought 4: Scare the crows away! Ally checked his watch. The time here was 11 pm in the night but the problem was that Ally’s new smart watch he got from home, showed the time it was in the planet lily, not earth. And so, he was just left there, clueless, and with nothing to do, and nowhere to go. Suddenly, he got an idea! He ran to a bar and swung open the door. Everybody in it ran out, calling the police. Ally locked the door and went up the stairs. He thought: What a cozy room! I shall spend the night here. And so, he got on to the soft bed and slept soundly. That night was the best of all. Thought 5: Welcome to......Greece! Ally woke up early the next morning. He checked the alarm clock beside the bed. He cannot come out of the shop as he does not have a suit to wear. Until a spark tinted his eyes! He had a great idea! He has a friend who lives on earth, too! Her name was Rennie. She had extra anti-alien suits which he could use! So, he worked a plan to go to Greece, the very place she lives. He snuck out the door and into the village. He painted himself peach and put some random clothing hanging on the line, “What a good disguise!” Thought Ally. He took a taxi to the airport. He bought himself a donut and a sandwich. Luckly, he escaped the scanning machine by going to the bathroom. As he got onto the plane, he said to himself ‘this place is amazingly comfortable. I love earth!’ 1 hour later............................................................................................ As soon as the plane took off, it landed, into the capital of Greece, Athens. He looked around to see bright buildings full of lights. He called a nearby yellow taxi. As he sat in the car, he said to himself with a worried face ‘I am never going to find her. She roams too much.’ But he does not know how much luck he is going to get in the next chapter. Thought 6: Back to start. As the taxi pulled round to Rennie’s house, Ally was sure she was not here. She lives in Velestino, Magnesia regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. She usually drinks coffee, in the famous Frankly coffee

shop, Velestino. She explores earth and usually gets lost. But she rarely stays at her house in Velestino. But when Ally rang the bell at the front of the house, he heard no noise. He said aloud: ‘hello, anybody home! Your friend is here!’ but there was still no response. Suddenly, he heard a loud voice. It said ‘Voucher! Who is here!’ Ally replied happily; ‘it is me! Your friend. Remember? It is Ally, Rennie!’ Rennie swung open the door and hugged Ally. ‘I am so happy to see you! I knew you would get lost, so I waited till you came here. How was the trip to Uranus? Come inside!’. Ally stepped inside. He then explained to Rennie the whole story. ‘.......and then my suit got torn out and I took an aero plane to meet you so that I can use your help to blend in and find my ship.’ ‘Okay....’ she said, ‘So what help do you need from me?’ ‘Well, I need you to come with me to a mountain opposite to goa and get my ship to go to Uranus.’ ‘Okay, sounds like a Terreri'll idea! Anyway, how many days pasted since you left goa?’ ‘10’ Ally replied. ‘Then we must sneak in there. But we must be mushy quiet.’ ‘Okay.’ ‘That seems fine with me.’ So, Rennie gave Ally a suit and they packed some food and water for the journey. They left the house at 4 pm in the evening as Goa is 2 hours away. Meanwhile in Goa...... The mountain in which Ally crashed his ship was crowded with people. Everyone was wondering what it was and whose it belonged to. Scientists and experts from all over the world came to see the crashed ship. The place was noisier than a zoo. The guards there restricted everyone from going there at night. All the experts and scientists have been keeping a close watch on the ship to see who comes out. Then they can prove their theory about the aliens owning the mysterious ship. Thought 7: What a mess! Ally and Rennie reached Goa at exactly 6;37 pm. They were in a little hurry as the guards would be back from their dinner soon. Finally, they reached the bottom of the mountain. ‘Now, time to say goodbye’ Rennie said as she bid him goodbye. But Ally said ‘Come with me. Let us explore!’. Although Rennie had other work to do, she still came. She really loves exploring thought Ally as he hiked the mountain. Then, unexpectedly, they saw what looked like a random drilling machine stuck to a UFO. It had 3 tubes sticking out, as if it were drilling something. Then, a loudspeaker said; ‘Ahoy mate! Us the ores have come!’ ‘Oh no. They have come again!’ Rennie said. ‘Who are they’ wondered Ally. As if Rennie had read his mind, she answered ‘They are the ores of planet * “ORG”. ‘Oh’ Ally said. The strange ship landed in the soft grass below them. It was so large that it was in level with the mountain. There were numbers written in it. They said: 449120667388. It was exceptionally long, so the numbers had to wrap around all the tubes plus the UFO. Then, suddenly the ship began to whine. Then, a trap door opened at the back of the ship. Surprisingly, it was full of TRASH! The ship dumped it all on the mountain and flew off. On the way the ship shot an arrow at Ally’s new ship. Ally got mad!! He threw a rock at them which broke their shooter. The ship went faster and faster out of the atmosphere. Ally was even sadder than a rat lost in the desert. ‘It is fine. We will fix the ship.’ Rennie consoled. But Ally was not going to budge. Early next morning, they start to work on Ally’s ship. ‘We will need to postpone the trip to Uranus, Ally.’ Rennie said. Ally was sad. But what to do? He anyways will have to take some revenge on those “Ores.” Then, Ally got a great idea! ‘Hey, Rennie.’ ‘Yeah?’ ‘Where is this place where the ores live in?’ ‘In planet ORG’ ‘No, I mean which galaxy do they live in?’ ‘In..... well, in MS 27’ ‘Oh.’

Ally knew galaxy MS 27 but really did not know where it was located. Then, he asked Rennie: ‘Where is MS 27?’ Rennie replied ‘well, I do not know the coordinates, but I could tell from which in the night sky.’ ‘Ok.’ Ally was happy about his solution. As he and Rennie fixed the ship, Ally worked out a plan to take revenge on the Ores . *The word ORG is not a short form of ORANGIZION. It is pronounced as ORG (ooh-rr-g). Thought 8: Revenge for revenge! Early next morning, Ally and Rennie finally finished fixing the ship. Rennie started the engine and it miraculously worked! Ally and Rennie then shot off to the sky! They stuffed all the trash the Ores left behind. Luckily, the humans never even noticed! As Rennie took control, Ally peeped out the window to see miraculous nebulas and bright stars at the center of huge galaxies full of sparkly--- Ally was interrupted by Rennie who said, ‘Ally we have reached!’ Ally looked out the window to see MS 27 far ahead. Rennie pulled the lever and shot off to the planet ORG. Finally, they landed on ORG’s surface. The Ores thought that they were another Ore family, so they greeted them warmly. As per the plan, Ally snuck out with Rennie in the night to dump their trash. They escaped with no trouble. Thought 9: Home, sweet home! At last, they reached home. Home sweet home! Ally loved being home. He promised himself that he would never go on any such trips like this! The end!

The Halloween Party By Tara Kaitiaki PYP5B 1 Sabrina Melmen, a young librarian, sat behind her desk chewing gum. She gazed out a window twirling a lock of curly, honey-brown hair around her finger. Her electric blue eyes scan a bush for any kids trying to egg the library like they did last Halloween. Thoughts whizz through her head like a merry-goround – She's thinking about her Halloween costume. She was planning on dressing as a witch, but now she was thinking a witch was too simple. Then it hit her! She was going to dress as Ras Vivian from Miraculous Impact. Miraculous Impact is an adventure game that barely anyone knows about. Sabrina loved to play this game, so the idea was perfect! Ras Vivian was her favorite character. Her eyelids began to feel heavy, so she closed her eyes. ‘Excuse me?’ A deep voice snapped Sabrina out of her daydream. A tall boy with messy blonde hair and alluring green eyes was leaning over Sabrina’s desk and waving a hand over her face. The moment she opened her eyes he jumped backward as though he wasn’t expecting her to awaken. She looks up to see the boy with a startled expression molded onto his face. He’s wearing a loose white T-shirt with dark green sleeves paired with jeans and red sneakers. ‘What can I do for you?’ She asks, still in slight shock. The boy forcefully placed a large, hefty book that made a thud when he slammed it down. He places his weight on his hand, which is still resting on the book’s leather cover, and hovers over Sabrina. With his height, it’s more of towering over Sabrina. ‘I’d like to borrow this,’ he says. Sabrina nods and opens her record book. ‘It’s “A history of unfortunate souls”.’ Sabrina scribbles it down in the record book. ‘Name?’ ‘Andrew.’ The boy replies. She scribbles that down too. ‘Alright, you’re free to take it, but remember to return it in 2 weeks.’ ‘I sure will~’ Andrew chuckles. He picks up his book and leaves the library. Sabrina sighs and leans back in her chair. When will my shift be over? She thinks to herself. She checks her watch – 6:55 PM – 5 more minutes till she can leave. Her shift passes by quickly as only a few youngsters are asking to borrow fairytale books. Soon she packs her things and heads home. As she leaves the library, she notices just how cold it is. She rummages through her bag but doesn’t find what she’s looking for. ‘Shoot, I forgot my jacket...’ She sighs and continues walking the cold streets of London. Once she reaches home, she dives headfirst into her bed and muffles a frustrated scream in her pillow. At the time, she was not quite sure what she was frustrated about. She drapes a warm, fuzzy blanket over herself and lets out a large yawn. Off to sleep she goes... 2 Sabrina woke up early the next morning, for she had to set up her whole house for Halloween. Halloween is Sabrina’s favorite holiday, and she was particularly excited this year. Feeling a rush of energy, she jumps out of bed and gets ready to go to the store. She looks at her grocery list - ‘Pumpkins, fake blood, bats and skeletons, a magenta wig’. Simple enough. Down the ‘Halloween

decoration aisle, she found a child who seemed to be lost. She was wearing platinum blonde hair in two pigtails, dazzling green eyes, a sky-blue dress, and a very worried expression. Sabrina never really had any empathy for children – She always thought they were annoying – But there was something about this little girl that Sabrina just couldn’t ignore. She came up to the little girl and asked - ‘Hey, where are your parents?’ The girl backed away from Sabrina with an afraid look in her eyes. ‘It’s alright, I’m only trying to help.’ She tried to speak in the gentlest tone she could. The quivering girl shook her head. ‘Sally!’ A familiar male voice calls out. Andrew from the library ran to the girl and hugged her tightly. ‘Sally, don’t stray too far from me, you don’t know your way around the store!’ Was the little girl Andrew’s sister? ‘A-Andrew?’ Sabrina asks hesitantly. ‘Oh! You’re that librarian from the Wonder Tale Library!’ Andrew says, looking up at Sabrina. ‘What was your name again?’ ‘Sabrina.’ She replies. ‘So, are you here to buy Halloween decorations too?’ ‘No actually. Every year my sister and I cook an extra special Halloween dinner. So, we’re here to buy the ingredients.’ Andrew holds Sally closer. ‘That’s sweet, I haven’t been in touch with my family in a while. We got into a sort of fight, and I’m still waiting for a reason to forgive them.’ Sabrina blurts out. ‘I’m sorry to hear that.’ Andrew says softly. ‘It’s alright.’ Sabrina smiles and shovels some things into her shopping basket. ‘I’d best get going now, I have to decorate my house.’ Andrew and Sally wave goodbye as Sabrina exits the market. She walks home drearily, somehow already tired. Sabrina sets down all her decorations on the kitchen island; Where should she start? She glanced back at her to-do list; it’s better to start with the hardest part. So, she gathered all the bats and skulls and string and headed outside – She was going to try hanging them from the roof. She set up the ladder, climbed up and stood precariously on the edge. She strung together all the hanging decorations with a singular hook between each decoration and attached the hooks to the roof – That should hold long enough for the trick-or-treating to end. Upon carefully climbing down, she spotted a young boy with chocolate brown hair standing in front of her lawn. ‘Do you need something?’ She asked, wondering if he was trying to prank her like all the other kids did. The boy gave her a wide grin with two teeth missing in the sides before grabbing the head off one of the skeletons and running like his life depended on it. ‘Hey! Come back!’ Sabrina called out in despair, but the boy obviously did not return. She looked at her now headless skeleton and wondered how she could fix this, then it came to her. She rushed back inside and grabbed one of the jack-o-lanterns that she had carved the day before and planted it on top of the skeleton’s neck – It felt like it was missing something. She went back inside and grabbed a long furry coat and knee-length leather boots. After somewhat struggling to dress the skeleton, Sabrina took a step back to look at her work – Perfect. The skeleton was leaning on the fence, ready to greet the children as they made their way to the front door. She ticked two things off her list. She set up the remaining jack-o-lanterns and Halloween decorations and collapsed on her couch – All her work had been finished. 3. Sabrina had been cramming down this excitement all day, but now it was time to unleash the beast. She threw her closet doors open wide and began shoveling through all the costumes shoved behind all her regular clothes. Her costume consisted of – A blue cravat, an orange shirt with navy blue sleeves, one long one short, a pickle green sash, a navy-blue skirt and an orange tinted frockcoat, long pickle green leather boots and a magenta wig tied into a braid. She was dressing up as Rasvivian from Miraculous Impact. Miraculous Impact was an adventure game that barely anyone knew about. She pulled on her costume and checked herself out in the mirror. After checking her watch, she realized that she’d better head to the Halloween party that she was invited to or else she would be late! She grabbed a matching pickle green sling bag with navy-blue diamonds printed cheaply on its sides and began shoveling in everything she needed for the party – A jacket in case she got cold, a change of clothes in case her costume became uncomfortable, a water bottle in case she got thirsty and a Desert Eagle Mark XIX Pistol. She merrily skipped down the street to Casey’s house where the party was being held. The loud music and lights blared faintly from inside the house as Sabrina knocked on the oak door. Casey, who was dressed as a zombie, opened the door and gestured Sabrina inside. The party had props, drinks, music, and an empty room with a back door. It was no different from any other party Sabrina had gone to, but it was still perfect for the plan she had in mind. All she had to do now was find her target and take her target to an empty room. Step one was easy – she was dressed as a witch and was always

hovering round the drink table. Sabrina approached her and placed a friendly hand on her shoulder. ‘Leslie! Long time no see, how has life been for you?’ Leslie swung around with slight confusion. ‘Oh, Sabrina! I missed you! Life’s been great, how about you?’ She gently dusted Sabrina’s hand off her shoulder. ‘Nothing out of the ordinary, but I’ve found an invigorating new hobby.’ A large grin broke upon Sabrina’s face. ‘Oh really? Please, do enlighten me.’ Leslie smiled, trying to ignore Sabrina’s almost threatening smile. ‘Why don’t we talk in private? I know just the spot.’ Sabrina placed her hand back on Leslie’s shoulder and almost forcefully guided her to an empty room. Leslie sat herself down on the warm, fuzzy rug as Sabrina locked the door heavily. She reached a hand into her bag and crouched down so close to Leslie that the tips of their noses touched. Just as Leslie was about to ask what her old friend wanted to talk about, Sabrina bolted upright and pointed her gun to Leslie’s forehead. Quivering in fear and confusion, Leslie struggled to ask; ‘W-why are you doing this? I thought we were f-friends...’ ‘Oh Leslie my dear, you trust people too easily. From the moment I saw you, I knew exactly what I had to do.’ Sabrina crouched back down and ran a finger over Leslie’s lips. ‘Now, if even the tiniest grunt comes out of your mouth, I’ll pull the trigger faster than lightning. But wait...’ Sabrina allowed herself a chuckle. ‘I’ll do it anyway~’ The last thing Leslie Baker ever heard was the sound of a gun cocking. The deafening sound of a gunshot rang through Sabrina’s ears. Sabrina stood up and watched as Leslie’s lifeless body lay limp in a pool of her own blood. A small smile crept upon Sabrina’s face as she made her way to the door. She wrapped her cold hand around the nob, but no matter how much she tugged, the door would not budge – It was locked. People’s screams filled the small space of the room as the blaring of police sirens grew louder. Sabrina’s pupils shrunk into thin slits as she backed into a corner – There was no escape now. Four police officers burst through the flimsy door and cornered Sabrina like a hunter and a deer. One squeezed Sabrina’s hands into handcuffs and lead her out the door; ‘Sabrina January Melmen, you are under arrest for the murder of Leslie Baker.’ Seven years later, an older boy with chocolate brown hair sat on his couch reading a newspaper - ‘Sabrina January Melmen, arrested for the murder of the surgeon Leslie Baker, mysteriously disappears seven years later,’ The familiar voice of a honey blonde-haired woman whispered in the boy’s ear; ‘You owe me a new skull...’ The sound of a sharp axe scraping through flesh filled the room followed by a thud. The room fell silent as the boy’s head rolled in a pool of blood on the wooden floor....

The Halloween Scare By Aryamann Singh PYP5B The start of disaster Chapter 1 This was the night I will never forget. It was a day before Halloween, and my friend Kishan was setting up our Halloween costumes. My friend was a ghost, and I was a zombie. This Halloween would be the best I said! I was looking at my costume and I saw that I had forgotten the most important thing, my mask! I hurriedly went to the store they said that they had none left. Great I said now I must be a zombie that is not scary, but the whole part of a zombie is being scary! The shopkeeper said there is the best mask I think you will ever get. I burst up with joy I asked him where it was, and he, unfortunately, said the last place anyone would go was "Death Road”. Anyone who dared step foot would never return but I was a daredevil and say I would go to Death Road! The shopkeeper said YOU made a great blunder, but his voice was looking like he wanted me to go. I went out of the room in a hurry. I had to plan. On Halloween morning I would go to Death Road with me I begged him to come it would be a quick plan and to distract my parents I would tell them that I was going to my friend's house! The plan was done, all that was left was to execute the plan I went to bed and slept till 7:12 am. I ate my breakfast and said I was going to Kishan’s house. I picked my friend, and we were about to make the biggest voyage ever. The Epic voyage of life and death Chapter-2 We were about to get started and if we made it out my reader would be the best accomplishment we’ve ever done. We took deep breaths and started the epic voyage of life and death. There was nothing too bad when we started but when we kept on walking further every time it felt like someone was watching our every step. We thought that it was just our minds playing with us but then we heard whispering, so we moved faster. We got so scared we started running every step felt like a million after that we realized it stopped, we hugged each other, and I saw that it was already 2:00 pm we had to rap this up quickly Kishan said we wanted to go back its okay if we don’t get 1 trillion dollars and the best zombie mask in the world. I also wanted to go home but a thought came to my mind maybe this was all a trick to not come here that would make some sense that’s why the shopkeeper was looking happy when I said yes. A plan was starting to form. I told my thoughts to my friend, and he jumped with glee! but we had to make and execute this plan before Halloween I checked the time again and it was 3:00 pm.

So, the plan was to act casually when all the scary things happen till it stops and after we do that, I’ll tell the second part of my plan. We were ready. We started to walk slowly and talked about Halloween preparations scary stuff kept happening, but we kept our guard on a whole other level. We kept walking but then it immediately stopped. We were so happy that my plan worked out for us but then we heard the bushes rumbling Kishan got armed and I did too. It was just a dog he looked cute when we came closer but after a few steps closer it started to attack us Krishna hit the dog with my bottle it scratched me a little, but everything was okay I thanked my friend, and we went on. After that, we kept on walking but nothing scary happened but suddenly something whispered that “you will die today”. We got so scared that I started to cry. The voice kept repeating until it filled anger in my mind, and I shouted “Stop!!!!”. At that moment the voice vanished into the thin air. Help Chapter-3 I was so relieved that I kissed the ground! Suddenly, my anger just came and went. We kept on moving as we were getting late. This incident made me think that we would never get out of here. We kept on moving while thinking about what to do. During this episode, I forgot something that could have gotten out of us here, “MY PHONE”. It was fully charged, and we could call my parent and Kishan’s or even 911. We were so happy, but we were tired, hungry, and thirsty. We found a good place to rest took out our snacks to eat and drank some water. We started dialing 911 and did a video call to show the evidence. Luckily, they picked up and we told them what was happening and then they said help was on the way. We packed up everything and before we went, we called our parents, and I told my story. My mother asked whether I called the police to come find us. My mother said that I’m coming with the police to come find you. I told my friend the great news. We were going to get out of here! We made a shelter and waited till my mom would come here. Luckily, I packed food on the way just in case we got hungry. I had chicken burgers, and we got a soft drink too. It was starting to get dark, and we started to get hungry, so we ate the burgers, drank, and talked. My friend said he got a surprise for me. He asked me to close my eyes and walk with him. When I opened my eyes, I saw that the most valuable thing that he got on this voyage was a sleeping bag. Missing trick or treat this year made me feel sad. My friend said that at least were together. While talking we wished each other good night and dozed off. Chapter:4-hope It was morning and my friend was still sleeping. I called my mom to see where she was and fortunately, she was on the right track. So, she asked me what my place looked like, and I said I was near a golden tree she told the police and said they were on their way. After I disconnected the call another creepy voice said, “Your mom will never come I will make sure of that”. My friend was already awake, and he unfortunately heard the whole thing. Then it felt like someone was behind us waiting for us to look behind. A slow breeze penetrated our body and it felt like a bad entity controlled this forest. The voice said, “Yes I control this forest you’ve made a grave mistake calling for help I won’t kill you I will kill them “. No, this was all my fault my parents and Kishan would die because of me I burst into tears my friend could not say anything. I snuggled into my sleeping bag and remembered my past and what my father said before he died Wilson never quit. I felt a rise of hope in myself. I said to the voice I will get out of this forest with everyone no matter what. My friend was so happy I was back. I said let’s do this!

The battle for freedom Chapter:5 My friend said what’s the plan. Okay, we know that our parents are on the right track, so we must stay calm got it, yes, he said. WHEN I was about to explain the second part of my plan, we heard the bushes rumbling again we stayed calm and were ready to face whatever came our way. They kept rumbling then a creature, not a dog, but a human came out and it wasn’t my mom, but the shopkeeper and he had a gun. We immediately pinned them on the floor and threw his gun he moaned “Please give me mercy”. We looked at him in surprise and asked him why he was there. He said to get the trillion dollars by myself so I could be rich and push people around as they pushed me, and I knew where it was, and it was the way out of this forest but when I reached for its multiple real zombies came from underneath and a shadow shimmering from the distance was saying for them to kill me. I fortunately found a gun with ammo and there was a dead body. I shot the zombies, but nothing happened I had to make a run for it till I reached here. We made a deal that if he would tell us the coordinates to the trillion $ we would split it, but the real reason was to tell my mom where I was exactly and to sweeten the deal, we made some weapons when we were getting prepared so he would stay safe. He bluntly said OKAY fine. I got a piece of paper, and he wrote where it was, and I said I had to get on the call with someone I told my mom where I was going, and she said okay but stay safe. We are about to start the “Battle of Freedom”! The cave of death Chapter-6 We started to walk to where he found the place, we asked him at what series of times he went, and the zombies started to attack probably at 4:00 it was 4:30 right now. So, I think there could be a certain time they come to check and how many were there Kishan adds. About 30 of them were walking in a straight line the shadow looked like a person I knew but I just can’t remember when we had arrived at the cave of death. We waited heretic our parents came after 1hour and 30 minutes we heard a voice the person came it was our moms with an army of police officers we ran immediately to hug we were so happy I said you did not die I was in so many tears my mom said to calm down she said she’ll always be by my side. After that, we were ready to enter the cave of death! The amazing adventure ends. Chapter:7 We entered the cave after that the shopkeeper said to stop and jump, we all jumped and he flicked the hidden string a flock of arrows went in a shaped line we thanked him and he warned this was full of traps I asked how do you know this place so well he said because my brother studied this place and he died here that skeleton was him. I apologized and we went on we went through all the traps and finally reached the chest of all 300. policemen went in front of us they got swords I never knew the police never had them but I had no time to be surprised we got our wooden spears and I threw the can of Fanta the shadow appeared and he said you are no match for my army the zombies came from the underworld there was an epic battle my mom almost got bit but I saved her we killed all the zombies and before we went we to the chest and he said to be on the ground all the traps the voices last words were “No” we made it out this was the most amazing adventure ever. We went home and I knew my dad would be proud. THANK YOU

The unknown world By Dhruv PYP5B Chapter 1: A chance to follow. Once upon a time, there were two brothers, Bob, and John. It had been almost two years since John had seen his parents. They had gone through a mysterious portal that had appeared in his bedroom. Bob and John had longed for an opportunity to follow in their parents’ footsteps. Their wish had just come true. As John walked into his room, he realized his cupboard was open, and when he investigated it, he saw a fiery blue ring bobbing up and down. “Bob come here!” he yelled. “Coming!” Bob yelled back. Soon Bob was there too. Both gaped in disbelief. It was the exact same portal that their parents entered a few years ago. It was Bob who broke the silence. “Oh my god!” he shouted with excitement. Their chance to follow their parents had finally come. Without wasting time, they started packing all the essentials, ten pairs of camouflage clothes, a revolver and dagger that their parents had given them, bullets for their revolvers, a flashlight, and two pairs of shoes each. About half an hour later John and Bob heaved their suitcases through the portal which was getting smaller by the minute. They pulled on their camouflage clothes, hiking boots and jumped headfirst into the portal. Chapter 2: Reunited at last. John and Bob felt like they were going up, down, forward, backward, right, and left at the same time. After some time of feeling the queasy sensation Bob and John found themselves in the middle of a jungle along with their suitcases. They looked up at the sky as the predawn grey started to light up the area. It seemed just like home. But the similarities ended there, there were no buildings in sight, and it looked as if the forest covered everything. They started to look for their parents, they searched for hours fruitlessly. Just as they were about to give up Bob spotted a thin curl of smoke in the sky. “Come here John!” Bob called. “Coming!” John said. When John reached, he said, “Last one there is a rotten egg!” John ended up reaching first because he had caught Bob off guard. John rang the bell, which was not like the switch ones at home, it was a church bell fashioned out of brass. As the door creaked open John and Bob were caught by surprise. They could not believe what they saw and so could not their parents. They had been reunited at last! Their mom and dad,

whose names were Mitchel and Michael, at once embraced them. Eyes brimming with tears, Bob and John returned the hug. Chapter 3: The Abduction After the teary greetings, Michael helped John and Bob to unpack while Mitchel was cooking a delicious lunch. John and Bob attached their daggers and revolvers to a belt around their waist just as they heard a high-pitched scream come from their kitchen. Michael, Bob, and John rushed to the kitchen and caught a glimpse of three black-clad figures capturing Mitchel who was bound by ropes and gagged before they disappeared. They left a strange insignia and next to it they wrote ‘FOR MORGOTH.’ They were shocked. Thankfully, Michael had been trained as a tracker and easily followed their tracks. He led the way with Bob and John at his heels. After half an hour they saw a bridge and the black-clad figures seemed to have crossed it. As they approached the bridge, they saw two armed soldiers wearing the same black clothes as Mitchel’s abductors. They knew this would spell trouble for them, so Michael decided to tell Bob and John to stay in the cover of the trees while he used the bushes as cover and shot the black-clad figures with tranquilizer darts. Michael silently crept towards the black-clad figures but kept in the cover of the bushes. He quietly slipped his dart gun out of his belt, loaded two darts in and fired one at each black clothed figure. Both abductors fell to the ground with a thud. Chapter 4: The Forest Michael quietly stepped out of the bushes and prodded the abductors with the butt of his knife. Satisfied that they were tranquilized, he kicked the motionless bodies into the fast-flowing river. Michael then signaled for Bob and John to come out of the bushes. Bob and John jogged toward Michael, and both said, “Nice one dad,” “That is what they deserved,” Michael replied. Michael continued to follow the tracks of the abductors, who Bob and John had started to call Morgoth’ s sergeants. After a while the tracks lead into a dense forest. Since it was getting dark, Michael decided to camp at the edge of the forest. Michael was the first one to wake up, so he removed all traces that he, John, and Bob had been there, except for the tents. He decided to let Bob and John sleep for half an hour more. “They had a long day yesterday,” Michael said to himself. He decided to go into the forest to forage for some food. He found a small clearing laden with many berry bushes; within a few yards he found a tree with semi-translucent papaya shaped fruits that he called Trapayas. Michael gathered lots of berries for rations while they were traveling and a few Trapayas for breakfast. Michael made his way through the dense forest back toward the campsite. He then prepared breakfast and woke up Bob and John. They enjoyed a delicious breakfast of Trapayas and berries. Later, they set off into the dense forest with high hopes.

Chapter 5: The castle It felt like the forest had its own feelings, John thought as the early morning wind whistled through the forest. The smaller tree’s branches swayed casting creepy shadows on the grassy floor. They continued through the forest for hours, until they stumbled upon a massive castle in the middle of the forest with soaring towers and black granite walls. Michael, John, and Bob just stood there staring in awe at the majestic castle. After staring at it for minutes on end they finally recovered from their daze, Michael realized this had to be the place where Mitchel was being held. He justified this by the tracks of the abductors which lead straight to the main door. Michael told John and Bob not to say anything to the guards as he would tell them why they were there. Michael walked toward the large chestnut oak door with Bob and John at his heels. “State your business,” the guard said with a superior look on his face. “We have come to take my wife back as you have abducted her,” Michael said. The guard smirked, “Good luck with that,” he said with a sarcastic grin, “you may enter,” he said as the other guard opened the grand doors. “Make sure to go to the seneschal’s office first, it’s on the first floor first room on the right,” the other guard added. Chapter 6: Meeting the seneschal. Michael, Bob, and John followed the guard’s direction and found themselves in front of a large fir door. Michael knocked politely and was answered by a muffled voice, “Come in,” the seneschal said. Michael opened the door, let Bob and John in and closed the door. “Please state your business and take a seat,” the seneschal said, “by the way my name is Odell.” Michael, Bob, and John took a seat, while Michael repeated what he had said to the guard. “You may stay here for some time till the King has a challenge ready for you,” Odell said, “Your room will be on the second floor of the keep, corridor three, and seventeenth room to the left, room number 458. Breakfast is at 8:30am, Lunch at 12:30pm, and dinner at 8:00pm”. They thanked Odell and made their way to their room. It was not exactly luxurious, but it was good enough for them. They had a bath, changed, and got ready for lunch. Lunch was a delicious combination of sweet and savory, air-cured ham in caramel sauce, with bread and soup. Dessert included a strawberry pannacotta and a raspberry cheesecake. They spent the afternoon lounging in the open parkland in front of the castle. They played football with an inflated pig bladder to pass the time.

Chapter 7: The Conditions Michael, Bob, and John were called to King’s office the following morning after breakfast. They knocked politely and heard the muffled permission to enter, they opened the door and were greeted by a grim looking man wearing black robes and laden with gold and jewelry. “Take a seat, by the way my name is Morgoth,” the king said. They did as he said and sat down on the straight-backed heavily cushioned seats. “Your challenge will be in the evening of Thursday, three days from now,” Morgoth said with a sense of finality in his tone. “The venue will be set up in the parkland in front of the castle, I will set up an event where anyone can join. We could make a lot of money from that,” he mused. “You and your sons will face my best warrior,” their hearts sunk. “With any condition of your choice,” Morgoth added after seeing their disheartened faces. “Any condition?” John asked eagerly. “Yes, any condition of your choice,” Morgoth replied. “Calm down John,” Michael said, then addressing Morgoth he said, “Your warrior is not allowed to use a helmet of any kind.” “That’s it,” Morgoth asked with an expectant look. He expected them to say something like “your warrior cannot use any weapon and cannot touch us.” “Yes, that’s all,” Michael replied. “Well then, it is set. You and your sons will battle my best knight, without any armor on Thursday evening 5:00pm in the parkland in front of the castle. Is that right?” “Yes,” Michael, John, and Bob chorused. “Wait what’s that hanging from your belt, Michael?” “Oh, it is a gun,” Michael said, then seeing Morgoth’s bewildered expression, he added “It is like a bow, but it smaller and shoots much faster, smaller arrows.” Morgoth frowned, this weapon seemed too overpowered, and he realized it would not be a fair fight, in favor of Michael, Bob, and John. “You may use that weapon, but instead of those mini arrows you should use pebbles.” “Hmm, ok sure,” Michael replied. Chapter 8: The Duel The days preceding the event flew by with Michael trying to change their guns so they could shoot pebbles and balls of lead. Michael, Bob, and John kept rehearsing their plan to defeat Morgoth's best warrior. John and Bob were to flank the enemy and distract him with tiny harmless pebbles, snuck up on the warrior from behind and knock him out with a massive ball of heavy lead shot from his modified gun. Michael made sure the plan was drilled into both of his sons’ brains, and often asked surprise questions about the plan to make sure his sons remembered the plan.

John and Bob were extremely nervous as they headed to the parkland, they found many people, food stands, and gamblers around a rectangular area marked with chalk powder. The knight walked into the rectangle and bowed to the king. He took his position at the right side of the rectangle. Michael, Bob, and John copied the knight’s actions and went to the left side of the rectangular area. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and your majesty, my name is Gerald, and I will tell you all the rules for this duel,” Gerald said, “The first one to knock the opponent or opponents out of the marked rectangle will be declared the winner. With your permission your majesty may the duel begin!” Morgoth nodded his consent. When Michael heard the new rule, he told Bob and John, “Once he is knocked out, we will roll him out of the rectangle.” “Ok,” Bob and John replied. The fight went just as it was planned, Bob and John distracted the knight with small pebbles, aiming at his head, but purposely missing, while Michael ran around to the back of the knight, loaded his gun with a heavy ball of lead and launched it at the knight, knocking him out. They then disarmed the knight and kicked him out of the rectangular area. Chapter 9:Back home Morgoth was surprised. He never expected his best warrior to be beaten with such ease. Anyhow, he had to keep his side of the promise, so he called Michael, Bob, and John over to him. “Congratulations, Michael, Bob, and John, I will lead you to the room where your mother is being kept,” Morgoth said. They followed Morgoth to the second floor of the keep, corridor first, last room to the right, room number 87. Morgoth knocked on the door and said, “your family is here to meet you.” “Oh my god,” Mitchel exclaimed from inside. She quickly opened the door and hugged John, then Bob, and finally, Michael. “I thought I would never see you guys again,” Mitchel said. Then addressing the King, she said, “Thank you Your Majesty.” “They deserved it,” Morgoth said simply. “What did they do?” Mitchel asked. “They managed to kill one of my best knights in a fight,” Morgoth replied. “Really?” Mitchel asked. “Yes, I’m not lying,” Morgoth said. “Oh my gosh, Bob, John, are you hurt?” Mitchel exclaimed. “No Mom, we are fine,” Bob said. “You’d better be,” Mitchel said. “Can we go now Your Majesty?” “Yes, you may leave,” Morgoth said. A few hours later the reunited family reached home. All of them were extremely surprised when they saw a fiery blue ring bobbing up and down. It was the same portal that had taken them from Earth to the unknown world. They carefully opened the door and slid into the house without touching the burning hot portal. Sometime later the foursome appeared from the house with their suitcases. They heaved their suitcases into the portal and jumped in after them. They felt the same queasy sensation as before and they arrived back home.

How to defeat monsters By Reyansh PYP5B Chapter-1 I predict a monster is hunting me. Have you ever heard of the Kraken? Well, I have, and I know that it is dead since I saw it in person. Now don’t think that I came in front of it and said “Hey! Don’t I look delicious? Come have me for lunch!” However, I am sure I made its father angry, but at least its mother is dead. The Kraken’s father, the Kraknoyl is not going to hunt the military (the military killed the Kraken), it is going to hunt me. Don’t ask me how I know…. I just know. But the myths say that the Kraknoyl is invisible, and it can go on land and water, it may be fake, but it said the Kraken and its father, the Kraknoyl is real, and it is true so basically the myths never lie. Now you may be wondering why the Kraknoyl is going to hunt me and not the military. Well, me and my friend Connor were seeing who can throw a heavy rock the highest. So, I went first and threw the rock high, but it came and hit one of those telephone wires, and the connection broke. I did not know the military was fighting the Kraken 250-300 meters far. They were extremely quiet. Then, fortunately it zapped the Kraken and for some reason it stayed still, and the military had time to aim their most powerful bullet in the Kraken’s eye. Unfortunately, it also zapped some like 1 or 2 cm away from me. I did not say that I helped because I figured out that this would take at least 100$ to fix. Chapter-2 Bran joins! By the way, my name is Garrin. And how does this past effect present day? The Kraknoyl has also been expressing its anger on everyone else. To some people it is like some invisible force is destroying everything in its path and marching towards New York for something. For most people like me, we know that it is the Kraknoyl. When Connor heard this news, he gulped so hard he almost choked we……. he said, we live in New York. Yep, I said, it wants to kill us. Me and Connor share this with our friend Bran only because he was smart and could think up of many strategies and could probably find out a way to defeat the Kraknoyl.

Bran always wanted to become famous, so maybe he can become famous after killing the monster. (I told him not to tell anyone, not even his parents). I will become famous. Bran asked. Maybe you will, but only after killing that big trouble-making monster. So, Bran said dreamily, I want to just go and stab one and become famous. But there is only one monster on the loose now, and it is invisible, so how will you find it? Conner asked. Then how do you know if it is here or not? Bran questioned. Me and Connor looked at each other and back at Bran, we don’t, Connor said. Chapter-3 The fight begins! But one thing, I said, it will haunt us, we won’t hunt it. Why? Bran asked. Since if it is not hunting us then we don’t need to put our lives on risk. Right? Connor asked. Right, I said. Just then, we heard a low, deep growl from……. nowhere. The Kraknoyl! Bran exclaimed. It is invisible right? Yep, I said. Okay, now hand me some pepper or some flour or anything to make the monster visible, Bran said. Meanwhile Bran was finding pepper or something else, Connor silently whispered in my ear- I knew Bran would be a helpful guy in this situation” I found flour! Bran said. Well then, throw it everywhere! Okay, okay he said. Done! The Kraknoyl is right over there about 600m away from us, but it is sprinting fast towards us. Okay, so, Connor, you take a pair of scissors and climb and cut that electricity wire over there and point it towards the monster. Garrin, you can take my chainsaw and throw it towards the monster’s eye after Connor points the wire on the Kraknoyl. What about you? Connor asked. I will go call the military for help. Bran said. Everything went according to the plan, but a chainsaw could not stop a monster. Bran called the military. The commander charged the monster with no fear like he’d done even more dangerous things before. He was probably in his 50’s or 60’s and he wore soldier-green cargos and a green shirt with a badge. But despite his old age, he still was fast. He dodged the monster’s first slash and kept running with a gigantic spear. Everyone else just stared at him in awe. Well? Bran said, help him! All the other soldiers came to aid, but even they could not keep the monster engaged for so long. Half a dozen tanks came along with them. Just then, Connor got an idea. The tank person can load their all-new poison bullet in the tank and try to get aim in the Kraknoyl’s eye. Connor told this to the nearest person operating the tank and he also told him to tell the other five tanks to load powerful bullets and fire at the same time. Chapter - 4 The tanks get destroyed. While the monster was distracted Connor gave the tank people the signal to fire. At least he thought it was distracted. But apparently, the monster was also paying attention to us, and all the bullets uselessly whistled past its head. The Kraknoyl came towards the tanks. 50m, 40m, 20m, 5m. Connor made a large dive to the left about two seconds before the monster crushed the tanks under its foot. The other tank people found out that they were going to need to flee from their tanks. Soon, all the tanks were destroyed.

You’re going to pay for that! Yelled the commander and together, Bran and the commander charged the monster. Bran had found a knife, maybe from a fallen warrior. But all this because of me and Connor, Connor was at least trying to help, but I was just standing here completely unarmed like a fool. Finally, I came to my senses. Chapter 5 I save the day. I went to a soldier and asked him if he could lend me a sword of imperial gold or stygian iron or celestial bronze. Sir, stygian iron is too dangerous for mortals, and it is mined from the underworld itself, but we have one imperial gold pilum, you may take it, he answered. I took it and somehow knew I should point it at the sky. I did. Lighting struck it and when everything was visible again, the tip was blazing with energy. Garrin, Connor said how did you........but I was not going to stop and chat. I pointed it at the Kraknoyl. It blasted the monster to bits, and I threw the pilum at one protected part of the monster’s thigh, and it tore apart. The pilum disappeared. Now all that was left of the monster was a few thousand bits of monster flesh and two big parts of a meaty thigh. Everyone stared at me in awe. What? I asked. You knew exactly what to do, and that was a pilum probably used by roman/Greek demigods. It explains the lightning, Bran said. Chapter -6 Me, Connor, and Bran have a hard time explaining. We needed to explain a lot. First to our parents, who were super proud of us for having so much courage and taking the risk and…blah….blah….blah. When we thought that it is all over, we were called on the stage for the news. I bet the entire New York was on their TV’s right now. My friends told me that they would just stand with me, and I would speak. But before I could argue, the news was on. I was live on TV. I explained all from the start and to the end. My friends here, Connor and Bran, helped me a lot, I said. Even the commander and his army helped us a lot. In fact, they even provided us that ancient pilum. It went on and on until it ended. Summary: we were famous. Long story: too long and anyway my throat is hurting from all that explaining.

The Lord of Time By Sriram.K PYP5B Chapter 1: The power On a cold spine-chilling day, a few wise monks traversed a pearl-white mountain as they needed to meditate. Suddenly, a ground-breaking thud eliminated the peace weaving through the wind. The monks climbed atop the mountain to see a man holding a golden pocket watch which was erupting with a green aura that consumed the man in a flash of light, transporting him through the plain white breeze. The look on the person’s face was consumed by a dark, malevolent smile, his eyes showing no hint of happiness. The monks stared at each other in a cloud of despair, as they had seen the power of time go into the wrong hands. Chapter 2: The savior Covered in a warm, cozy blanket of bear fur, Kyle woke up from his slumber rising to the new day. Kyle wore a tan leather shirt with a coat of comfortable bear fur covering him. The village he lived in was covered in cloud-white snow with scarce amounts of stomach-filling food. The villagers were doing their chores to survive when a column of algae green rained down from the sky, revealing a malicious smirk from a dark parched figure. Standing weakly, the figure announced, ‘Kneel before me!’ Then Kyle bravely replied ‘We shall not kneel before you! 'Kyle sprinted towards the monstrous-looking man and sheathed his metallic knife which struck the man devastatingly. Then the man ferociously looked at Kyle and slaughtered all the villagers with his crooked sword, as they helplessly tried to flee. Kyle stared; his knees bent as the man froze the entire village in time. He called himself The Lord of Time, but Kyle looked at him as a monster, devouring his way through villages and cities until he took over the vast world. After seeing this havoc, Kyle decided to stop this destruction before he used the power of time to destroy the entire race of humankind. Chapter 3: The weapon Kyle boarded his chocolate brown stallion and bounded off into the expanse, looking for a village called Ironville, hoping a muscular blacksmith or a mystical wizard would help him find a weakness for that golden weapon. Kyle raced across plains filled with icy, vanilla snow with spike-shaped, rugged spruce tree rooted into the leather-brown soil. He brushed past leafy trees, gritting his plain teeth with determination, his blood boiling to the corrupt voice of The Lord of Time. Kyle eventually reached his destination, the village of Iron Ville. Through the cold, blood-chilling mist, Kyle realized that the entire village was frozen in the inevitable power of time. The village was very silent, even the sweet chirping voices of birds could not be heard in this chasm of tranquility. Kyle knew these were the consequences that the Lord of Time had uncovered for this village of knowledge. Suddenly, in this moment of sadness, a snow-consumed door creaked revealing a wrinkled, elderly man peering through the tarnished door embedded in the cracked walls of the tower. Kyle approached the elderly person and asked him if he could tell him any prophecy or weapon that

could help him defeat this rising evil. He said that there was a pocket watch that granted him ten times the power of the one the Lord of Time had in his possession. Kyle assured the wise wizard that this destructive evil will be put to an abrupt stop, freeing the hardworking villagers from their dreadful curse. Kyle, from his time-taking journey, felt like the hut door was a million kilometers away from his flailing body. He devised that he would depart and traverse the landscape towards the highest peak in the world, the Mountain of Heaven. This treacherous mountain’s peak lay in the empty, clear environment above. Kyle took this burden, keeping his life on the line, climbing the towering figure that shadowed Kyle. He traversed the mountain’s landscape having to cope with situations where his heart skipped a beat. Kyle swallowed. As he saw the path in front of him, he knew he was stuck in a very tight spot. If he just moved a delicate, miniature stone the entire connection would disappear in the light toned clouds. Kyle knew if he gave up now, the Lord of Time would threaten the intelligent human race, devouring village by village until all that they had before would just be a dream. In his determination, Kyle took a leap of faith. Chapter 4: The Lord of Time is wiped out of existence. Kyle had accomplished his greatest achievement yet, climbing the Mountain of Heaven. When he turned around, he saw a golden pocket watch emitting a ray of lapis blue around the peak. Suddenly, a thud shook the ground below Kyle, sending him off his feet. From the corner of his eye, Kyle saw the Lord of Time approaching the mythical watch, then Kyle swiftly knocked the cruel being off his feet, sending him to the rugged ground below. Kyle, at that time, grabbed the watch and embraced its mystical aura flowing through his scarlet red blood. Kyle was surrounded by green energy; he could feel its incredible power flowing through everything around him supporting him in this battle. The Lord of Time charged at Kyle, but he blasted The Lord of time with a ray of emerald, green energy, which disintegrated The Lord of Time where his ashes succumbed to the abyss below. Kyle reached back to his village to see everyone rejoicing in the fall of the malevolent Lord of Time.

Shari and Sirena, the Jump-scare girls. By Teeya Teng PYP 5B. Shari loved to jump-scare her family members. Like her mom, dad, cousins, and everyone. Especially her elder sister Sirena, who is 4 years older than her. Sirena is Shari’s big sister, who loves to be jump-scared by her little sister. She has experienced a lot of Shari’s jumps- and scares. This all started when Shari was 3 years old. That time Sirena hated jumpscares, but now she’s used to it. Here are some scenes when Shari Jump-scared her sister Sirena. Scene 1: The ghost jumps scare One afternoon, Shari had a creepy but fun way to jump-scare Sirena. And that’s when she will wear her old ghost mask, she used for last year’s Halloween party. So, she started digging in her room, looking for her mask. When she found it, she put it on and went to Sirena’s room. She first spied on Sirena to see if she was holding a funny object. If she was then she will plan it out how to jump-scare her in a hilarious way. Right now, she saw Sirena holding a plastic water bottle which was open. So ,she thought, if Sirena will get jump-scared with that open water bottle, then she would just throw the bottle in the air and it would land on top of her head. Shari then went in-front of her sister’s door. When Sirena came out with the open bottle, she got so scared that she let out a loud shout “AHHHHHHHHH!”And just what Shari expected, her sister threw the bottle in the air. But this was not the thing she expected. When Sirena threw the bottle, she was swung back! She went back as her arms swung back. And the bottle flipped but landed in that position only! It landed when the open part of the bottle was pointing to Sirena’s head! All the water fell out and Sirena was drenched with the Liquid! “WHAT THE HELL SHARI?!” Sirena screamed. “Sorry Sis!” Shari said as she took her monster mask off her face. “I just... just like jump-scaring!” Shari sputtered. “Urgh, you got me as wet as the ocean by doing that jump-scare on me!”

Scene 2: Waterbed The next day, Shari was in a mood to play and crack jokes with her sister. So she woke up, brushed her teeth, freshened up and ran to Sirena’s room. Her sister was still sleeping like a baby! She tried to wake her up without jumpscaring her but she wouldn’t budge! Shari even tried to push her off her bed by her head! But nothing seemed to work. This time Shari had no choice but to jump-scare her. And she had a hilarious way to do this one, she went to the kitchen took a glass filled it with water and returned to the room. With the glass of water in her hand, without hesitation, she threw the whole thing on her sister’s bed! Sirena woke up drenched and cranky! And she was very sleepy. “SHARI NOT AGAIN!” Shari told her “Sirena, I tried to wake you up without jump-scaring you! I was yelling continuously Sirena, wake up! Sirena, wake up! But you weren’t listening! I even tried to push you out of bed by rolling you up with my head!” Sirena, drenched in water again but having a relief. “Well... good to see you aren’t jumpscaring me anymore. BUT HEY! I still have a watch on you...” Shari rolled her eyes. “We’ll see about that!” Scene 3: Car chaos During a road trip to California, Shari had another jump scare in mind to play on her sister. She had a Minecraft creeper costume she could use. She knew that her sister did not like Minecraft creepers. So, she thought it would be a good jump scare to play on her sister in the car. The good thing is she packed it up. Shari reached for her bag and took out the costume. She put it on. She tapped Sirena on the shoulder. Sirena looked at Shari’s side and saw a Minecraft creeper! She screamed at the top of her lungs because she was really scared of Minecraft creepers. Which made her parents also scared of what was going on! And even worse! Their dad lost control of the car! He slammed on the brakes! “WHAT WAS THAT?!” Mr Kevin, their dad screamed. “SHARI SCARED ME AGAIN! WITH A MINECRAFT CREEPER COSTUME!” Sirena screamed “SHARI!” Mrs. Zora, their mom shouted at Shari. “WHY DO YOU ALWAYS SCARE YOUR SISTER?!” Zora asked with anger. “I just like too... what?... Why are you glaring at me like that?” But Zora didn’t answer. She glared at Shari for scaring Sirena all the time. Shari’s voice shrunk tears of guilt in her eyes. “I’m sorry Mom! (Sobs) I didn’t mean to... I just like to see her react-” But before Shari could continue, Sirena pulled her into a big hug. “I’m sorry sis...” She whispered. “It’s alright!” Sirena whispered back accepting her apology “Just... be a little more careful next time, ok?” “Ok...” Shari whispered. And they continued their journey.

Scene 4: unexpected meme replies note. Note: This time, in these 2 scenes, Shari will Jump-scare Sirena through unexpected meme and jokes replies, and funny faces! In the car, Shari and Sirena decided to create some memes. This one Sirena created but with a little help of Shari’s: - SIRENA: - How lazy are you?? SHARIME (AND SHE IS DOWN ON THE SEAT IN A VERY FUNNY POSE AS IF SHE CAME BACK FROM WORK!) Sirena laughs! “That was... Unexpected!” Shari laughs back “I KNEW IT!” Shari yelled in laughter. Now, Shari takes this meme and Sirena helps her. SHARI: - During a school field trip, 2 girls want to sit at the back but the teacher tells them to sit in the front, their faces:- SIRENA-(DOES A FUNNY SAD FACE WITH HER MOUTH CURVED STICKING OUT) Shari laughed. JOKES!!! Shari went first... SHARI: - “What do you call a berry that is always sad??” SIRENA: - “What?” SHARI: - A BLUE BERRY!” Sirena’s jaw dropped and eyebrows shot up. “OHHHHHHHH!” Shari, like always, laughed out loud! “HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Sirena couldn’t help but smile. Now it was time for her joke, which: - SIRENA:- --“Why did the scarecrow win an award??” SHARI: - “Why??” SIRENA: - “Because he was outstanding in his field!” Shari laughed again “Wait what??” She giggled. “Seems like you are getting the spirit of laughter, huh Shari?” Sirena said with a playful grin. Scene 5- funny faces This time, they were back home in Sirena’s room. And it was nighttime. “Should we make funny faces??” Shari asked, looking at her sister. Sirena looked back and said, “I suppose we can do a few...” Shari went first. She squished both of her cheeks and stuck out her tongue! BOY did Sirena laugh like a hyena! “Okay now look at mine.” And she stretched her mouth horizontally with her index finger and stuck out her tongue! “HAHAHAHAHAHA!!” Shari laughed. “Let’s do more!” She giggles. “I think this should be enough laughter for today! My tummy pains now!” Sirena said holding her stomach. Shari agrees. “Yeah, you’re right. Let’s save the rest of the laughs for tomorrow.” And snuggled with each other in the blanket and had a goodnight sleep. The End

His father and mother was also welleducated Ragav was very interested in research skills, he was a risk taker and knowledgeable. Once Ragav’s mam gave each student a research project on disaster that is flood, volcano etc. as they were having Christmas holidays. Ragav topic was regarding TSUNAMI. He was very keen in researching. He read lot of books and searched in many sights and got much information while he was researching, he came around the place Andaman and Nicobar Island where tsunami took place in 2004.There he read an article that the tribe jawars escaped from tsunami. Ragav was very thrilled to know How they escaped and where did they go. He had gone through many sites, but no information was regarding his questions. So, he asked his father to take him to Adaman and Nicobar for holidays so that he can meet them and know about what happened. His dad was shocked and asked why? He told I want to know the answer for his questions. Dad: For this you need to go to Andaman. They are. “Tribal “you don’t know there language. And how do you communicate? Son: I have solution. In Andaman and Nicobar there Are people who speak to the tribe let’s go to? Them and ask for help Dad: Are you sure you want to go? Son: Yes, dad I can’t just be like without the answer. They flew to Andaman and Nicobar as to enjoy the holidays and to research about the tribe. Chapter -2 Ragav got down the flight and reached the hotel. of tribes. Jawaras is the oldest, they are semi nomadic. For food they only depend on nature. They are almost 400 to 1000 tribal people. They carry arrows and bows, wore colored head bands with leaves. They leave in an isolated northern region. They don’t allow to take photos as they believe that “they fall sick if they are photographed”. They mostly eat pork, fish, honey, and raw roasted bananas. They don’t like people from outside. Ragav was very eager to meet them. They all went to the island. The person from the association called the tribe in their language. Three of the tribal came near them. He was so excited to see them in real. Ragav started asking questions to the person as he convey that to the tribe. Ragav: Is everyone safe after the tsunami. Tribal:” We are all safe” after the tsunami we were in Forest Balughat Ragav: May I know your names. Tribal: Danna, Lah and Tawai Tribal: He gestured with his hands and asked “khamma”-water is dialect used by the jawaras and drank from a bottle offered to him. Ragav: Please take some chocolates and biscuits. Tribal: The packed food upsets our stomach. We don’t eat ripe bananas only raw banana as ripe bananas makes us sick. Ragav: How did you escape from tsunami? Tribal: It’s ancient knowledge of the movement of wind, sea, and birds we come to know the earthquake and tsunami. Ragav: lastly what do you want to say about your life. Tribal: My world is in the forest; we don’t like outside world. Ragav felt very happy meeting them and speaking to them. After that, he enjoyed his holidays and flew back to his place. He completed his project with a beautiful pictures and explanation. He felt very happy from the bottom of his heart.

Another Family By Noora Ataullah PYP5B I was awakened by the sound of boxes moving rapidly throughout the house as my mom, dad, and my two siblings Naomi and James hustled to get all our furniture and belongings out of the house. Today was moving day, the day I’ve dreaded since we decided to move. All I could think about was my new school all the way in Kansas: Lincoln Elementary. My mind was like a carousel, spinning with endless thoughts and worries: Will school be too hard? Will school be too easy? Will I get a strict teacher? Will I get one who’s overly nice? What if I get lost in school? What if I embarrass myself in front of everyone? All kinds of negative thoughts rushed through my head, but unfortunately, all I could do was worried and hope for the best. Finally, when the day had come to an end, I got my stuff for my first day ready, tiredly tucked myself in bed, pulled my sheets over my head, and drifted off to sleep. After such a busy day, it felt like the best sleep of my life. The next morning was eerily quiet, but I just assumed everyone was sleeping in after doing so much heavy lifting. So, I quietly brushed my teeth, changed my clothes, combed my hair, and then headed downstairs for breakfast. Once I was ready, I went back upstairs to ask one of my parents to drive me to school, but no one was upstairs. That’s when I realized I was alone in the house, and to make matters worse, my parents were all the way in Kansas! We were supposed to leave early in the morning, but they must’ve forgotten me in all the chaos! At first, I wasn’t quite sure what I should do since I don’t have a phone, but then I thought “Maybe the Neighbour's can help me” so, I went outside and walked around the neighborhood looking for someone to ask for help. However, most people weren’t home. As I walked around, I saw a house with an open door. I was curious to see inside so I went in. As soon as I walked in, a wispy, grey wall, with a wooden shelf of books welcomed me, so I kept walking. Then, a marble coffee table with a fresh mug offered me a drink, but I kept walking. I came into the dining room next, and a long, white, dining table, with a lovely, tall, vase greeted me and asked if I wanted anything, but I wasn’t hungry, so I kept walking until, I entered the living room and saw a big, soft, comfy, cozy, couch and then, I stopped walking. Instead, I fell onto the couch, and fell asleep. Hours had passed, and soon enough the door was unlocked while I was fast asleep, and I'd never even known someone was living in that house. The anonymous people didn’t even notice me until their kid came into the living room and started screaming! He was saying something, but he was speaking a different language than me. In a few seconds, his parents were with him, and they all seemed to be judging me. I felt like Goldilocks being stared at by the three bears! I kept trying to explain the situation of how I got left behind and at first, they didn’t understand but eventually, one of them replied in broken English. I took them outside to show them my house and then they remembered seeing a moving van before they went out and they understood completely. We then went back inside, and they fed me a nice dinner. We finished eating and then went around asking neighbors who were home if they had my parent’s contact. It took a while, but we found a family who had their contact, so we called them and discussed how they would get me back safely.

The family was very kind and let me stay overnight until the next morning when my parents came. The second I saw them; I was bursting with joy and ran to hug them! I couldn’t have been happier! After thanking the family, I stayed with, we went to the new house and fell asleep. The next day I had my first day of school, and it was great! I have a great teacher; all of my classmates are nice and funny. They even showed me around the school! I enjoyed all the subjects and told my parents all about it when I got back.

Jack’ s Family By Ryaan Eric Khanna PYP5B Jack: A sneaky and smart kid Jack’s big brother (Mike): naughty and clever kid Jack’s little brother (Steve): the most annoying kid Mom: home teacher Dad: worker (NARRATOR):So one day Jack was chilling and watching TV with his brothers, but ! out of the blue mom came in front of the and told that(MOM): WE ARE ALL GOING ON WINTER ROAD TRIP ! (JACK): Mom! why are we going on a winter road trip? And where are we going to for the night? (Mom) : So Jack I want to celebrate Christmas somewhere out of station and when we are in the car I will book a nice hotel for all of us for Christmas Trip day (Tuesday) (Narrator): So everybody started packing and had put their stuff at the back of the of the car. When everyone was in the car dad started to drive the car , while on the way mom started to get bored and she had put her favorite song which everybody got annoyed of expect dad and Steve, so Jack and Mike pulled out their phones and started watching some crap but mom had heard what they both were watching and told them to hand over their phones to her and get a bit bored or listen to the song what she was playing, so Jack had pulled a chips packet and it while the sunroof was open after a while, one of the seagulls saw the chip packet and came inside the car so everyone were surprised to see that a seagull is inside their especially Steve. So Jack didn’t knew what to do so he tossed a chip on the floor so that the seagull eats the chip, but ! Instead of eating one chip all the seagull came inside the car and snatched the chip packet and ate all of the chips.

Halloween Horror By Tricia Mehra PYP5B I was home alone on Halloween night. My parents said I was too old to go trick-or-treating, so they stuck me with handing out the candy. It was getting dark, and I had not had anybody come to the door for at least 15 minutes, so I thought it was time to turn off the lights and head upstairs to my room. Boy, I was wrong! Just as I opened the door to my room, I heard the strangest noise it sounded like zombie groans i raced downstairs to see what was going on. It was a kid dressed up as a zombie and it looked quite real cause of the zombie groans, I went to the kitchen to get the candies and rushed back to the door, I opened the door and said trick-or-treat but the kid didn’t say anything so I dug into my orange pumpkin shaped candy basket for candies, I took a few and gave it to the kid and then I closed the door. After that, I questioned myself about the moment and thought to not pay a lot of attention to it. After that I walked to the couch, put the candy basket beside me, and turned on the T.V. As it was Halloween, I put on a horror movie cooked myself some popcorn and came back. I watched the movie and a lot of time passed by, but no one came. The start of the horror movie was fine, but after that, it started to get very eerie. I had a lot of interest in the movie, but I didn’t realize how fast time passed by. I was about to go upstairs when I heard the bell ring “Oh no, not this again” I went downstairs to find my parents outside the door, I opened the door and let them in. My parents said they were going to go to sleep, and I was watching the movie. The movie was unexpectedly long and attention-seeking. I was tired as it was very late in the night, I kept everything where it was meant to be and I was walking outside to turn off the porch lights but as I opened the door, I saw a distant figure. I did not like that and walked to the switch but saw the figure coming closer I realized it was walking on its hands and doing it a back bend it was coming so quickly, I dived for the switch and ran inside I looked outside the window and saw it standing at my door. I went upstairs to sleep and found it staring at my window. It was standing normally with black torn clothes and pale white skin in pitch black hair on front of its face. Then a smile slowly came across it face, and I jumped into bed. I tried sleeping but I couldn’t sleep. I was awake the whole night and was never able to forget about that day.

A friendly alien visits Earth By Aarav Achan PYP5B Ben put down his book on “Planets and Stars” on his study table and ran out to play in the garden, with his favourite blue football. He enjoyed being out in the garden kicking around his football under the warm, afternoon sun. Then, Ben decided that it was time to go and get his favourite blue and gold hat gifted to him by his grandparents, on his birthday. It was his favourite accessory for all occasions, as he believed that wearing the long, striped colourful hat brought him adventure, good luck and fun. Ben went back to his room, took out his favourite hat from the hat box, put it on and ran out into the garden. He started chasing brightly coloured butterflies in the garden, running behind them around the plants, bushes and on the grass which looked like a thick green carpet. He spotted a butterfly with purple and grey polka dots on its wings and was trying to chase it down to get a closer look when he heard an unusual, loud thud and screeching noise on the far side of the garden. Ben was startled and ran as fast as he could, to see what had created the loud thud. As Ben came out from behind the bushes, he saw a big, blue cylinder shaped object on the grass on the other side of his house. It had antennas on top and bright, glowing colours in the front. Ben was intrigued and was wondering to himself “should I go closer and explore or play safe and run back home and get mom and dad to come along and check”. And suddenly, quietly but swiftly a figure emerged from the other side of the blue dome and cup shaped object. It was robot like thing with a large face, sockets for eyes, two horns and two stick like arms. The figure glided on the grass and seemed to be moving towards Ben. Ben was terrified and was about to sprint back home, holding on to his long hat, when the figure stared to make some noises “peep pluu blee blaa phlee”. The figure continued to glide on the grass, towards the house and then towards Ben, Ben wanted to run but his legs seemed to be frozen and stuck to the ground, he was terrified as the large figure moved towards him. Ben thought he saw a bright red light high up in the sky as the figure continued to move towards him, he then turned around and tried to move away quickly but his hat flew away from his head and fell near the large figure, the hat flew to his stick like hands as if it were a magnet. Ben was even more scared, so he ran back to his house and peeked out of his window, he was surprised at what he saw. The big figure then seemed to drop his hat and something shiny on the grass and then glided back towards the dome shaped object.
