United in Kindness and Diversity
This has been a year unlike any
before. We have braved the
untimely loss of our beloved
leader and friend, Vice President
Townsend, who reminded
us all of the importance of
kindness. We are confronting
unprecedented challenges due
to the coronavirus (COVID-19)
pandemic, which is impacting
our world, our communities
and our Lions. Yet through all of
this uncertainty, our resolve has
Dr. Jung-Yul Choi remained unshaken.
International President Great challenges require us to
come together to overcome
them. They require the compassionate service and the kindness
of Lions—all 1.4 million of us, each one bringing our diverse talents,
experiences and cultures to our service. That is why I have chosen
my new presidential message, “United in Kindness and
Diversity.”
I am looking forward to sharing this message with Lions around
the world in July. And I am looking forward to working with you to
meet the challenges ahead so we can move this great association
forward. And I know we will when we serve, united in kindness and
diversity.
Regards,
Dr. Jung-Yul Choi
