For me, art is the expression of creative rebellion – it is the accumulation
of experience and beliefs transcribed into visual form. This level of ab-
straction allows me to reflect deeply on the nature of objectification in the
compression of a single scene and in doing so restore passion and revive
it anew. This passion, the catalyst for love and life itself, is the theme of
my work. The creation of a visual space which is thought-provoking and
transformative for every individual, unveils the quintessential nature of re-
ality and promotes public engagement with the crucial challenges facing
today’s society.

Fast-paced, vibrant, East meets
West - these are only a few
terms to describe the small
land of Hong Kong. Formerly
a fishing island, the city has
came a long way, and through-
out history has earned its place
in becoming Asia’s world city.
Born in Northern Italy, Franc-
esco left the country after completing his studies in
Milan, before going abroad. He then furthered his
studies in Paris, and lived in London for the next dec-
ade after. Many of Francesco’s paintings are related
to travels – places he visited and enjoyed along his
journey. Inspired by the colours of Asia, architecture
and abstract paintings. His paintings are a combina-
tion of memory and fantasy, where the artist takes in
two contrasting elements – the city and countryside
– to recreate his own landscape. Using bold, striking
colours, the painter takes images from his memory
and enlivens the cityscape with every stroke on the
canvas. The artist works in acrylic on canvas, and
mixed media such as newspaper cut-outs and uses collage to give his works texture and depth.
Now an established artist in Hong Kong, Francesco Lietti has exhibited across galleries in the city
and has been featured in numerous publications.

The figural record is a combination of drawing, painting, digital me-

drawings and paintings is replaced by the concept of precise shapes
defined by the external and internal lines. His work cannot be accu-
rately incorporated in one of the above media. The work is usually in-

visualization is the result. He defines the form that generates his perceptions and emotions.

My art can be described as abstract and contemporary. My tools include
needles, putty knives, brushes, pencils and, of course, my hands which
enable me to feel my art. Most of the time, I use whatever I can find,
amongst other things: acrylic and oil, varnish, coal and chalk. I use a
very special style which features synthetic drawing. I take the shape of
an accidentally chosen object and draw part of it onto my canvas. By
putting these randomly selected outlines together, I have created an arti-
ficial object. My work is pervaded with lines, which arise from synthetic
drawing. Combining outlines of existing forms and objects creates a new
reality. To finalize my work I connect the graphics with the painting by additional colorizing.
People often view my work and find the unexpected. Looking at my paintings more closely

remained covert.

along with her grandmother’s stories, have been very powerful influences in what she paints.
Her Latin heritage and the Maya influence in her native country, Honduras, are reflected in
her work. Maria’s works are iconic and figurative – a blend of cultural symbols, metaphors,
allegories and legends;
stories of creations which
are filled with symbol-

contributed. „Gradually,

reflections addressing physi-
cal, psychological and spir-
itual proximities in relation to
the home. His work addresses
the love and steadfastness of
the family while also provid-
ing visual honesty concerning fears, uncertainties and resentments. Housing structures, as
bodily forms, create a dialog which places all parts as important for the structural integrity of
the form. Missing parts that are physically distant, yet psychologically present, in his works,
cause trauma which leads to an unstable foundation, and thus an infected body and home.

Graphic segments are the primitive bricks of a universe that forms and
transforms. These are the palette of the artist who uses them to play as a
musician with the notes. He works as the composer who already hears
the sounds when he writes a partition. The drawings describe a world
where exist visible, invisible, the magic and fantasy. The intention of
the creator moves to second place. Each person interprets what he sees
according to what he is.

EllesBB is a very colourful person, who has a relentless need to express
herself. She wants to beautify her environment. Before she starts paint-
ing she never knows what the result will be, she she cannot see things
in her mind. Therefore the result is a surprise for her as well. She likes
to work on large canvasses and hardly ever uses brushes; instead she
uses paint rollers and knives. We are proud to show you a small selec-
tion of her work.

Beneath her skin, acrylic on wood, 60x90 cm, 2012
Works mainly in acrylic on wood, but is
constantly expanding her ideas into further
media. Her work like a camera obscura, is
distorted. Filled with something elsewhere;
Her paintings trace a time and place seem-
ingly non existent but through her eyes ever
so real. She is inspired by anything weird
and unconventionally beautiful; the little
things that go unnoticed. Reclusive by na-
ture Everly Dark enjoys absorbing her mind
in the world of books and in her spare time
spends a great deal of time staring at the sky.

My drawings are intended to be part of the reflection that I do regarding spirituality, which I
live like ‘the path of unity’. They seek to record the beauty of all links that appear in diversity,
the depth of common people, Nature’s simple life and the extent of cultures, especially the
one regarding Latin America. I have discovered that drawing is a space to meditate, similar to
the creation of mandalas, allowing me to stop mind’s whirlwind and achieve tranquility. I have
also been able to explore new areas such as music, painting, photography, etching, carving
and writing, all means that give me great joy.

the spirit and life in Miro’s expres-

Klee’s great sense of color and form.

Marianna Venczák’s figurative and cityscape works provide lyrical figurative reflections and
adagio impressions. With symphonic tributes to the elements of fortissimo form and musi-
cal color, she orchestrates soulful figurations and joyful entertainment scenes, utilizing an
aesthetically unique color palette accompanied by a compelling viewpoint. Like a musician
who plays with sounds, she mixes her vivid colors to become a rhapsody of chords, which
metamorphose into an integral part of her compositions: she conducts a symphonic overture
of beauty, emotion and depth. Marianna has showcased her art throughout the world, and her
artwork is held in private collections worldwide.

Dream and abstract landscapes are the themes of most of Matt’s paintings. Images often come
to him from dreams, or when he is in that brief state between sleep and wakefulness when
“imagination reigns free”. He tries to communicate ideas, feelings, mood, or atmosphere in
his paintings. In particular he likes art to present a different perspective and give the viewer
something to think about.
