SBP INTEGRASI GOPENG ABSTRACT
This study aimed to investigate global economic sectors which have been impacted during Covid-
Teacher Advisor : 19 pandemic. Being a region consisting of rich, developing and low-income countries, Asia is
chosen to represent the world’s current economic situation as it narrows down the scope of the
2 Norazima binti Che Teh study. Apart from that, it also fits the purpose of understanding our own economic condition. An
online research was conducted in order to collect background information regarding the area of
study. Through the findings, it is learned that many of Asia's economic sectors have rebounded
unexpectedly when they gain unanticipated earnings because of this deadly pandemic. Economic
domains like Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and E-Commerce receive
favourable demands from online users due to self-quarantine enforcement and social distancing
policy. On the contrary, sectors like agriculture, tourism and travel, industrial as well as shipping
and ports really suffer from decline in requests. One very significant finding of the study is how the
health sector can experience both positive and negative consequences due to Covid-19. A lot of
wealthy countries which happen to be medical supplies providers gain profits while poor countries
end up enduring debts in order to fight the outbreak. These impacts bring enormous changes not
only to Asia but also to the global economy which cause massive rebound or downturn of the gross
domestic product (GDP) of countries all around the world. Further research is recommended to
examine how the recession will look like and yield some recommendations for the economic
recovery in Asia.

ABSTRACT
Undoubtedly COVID-19 outbreak has accelerated the revolution of digital solutions in many
sectors as with the limited contact of human touch. Based on the Google Trends chart, the relative
number of searches Malaysians have done over the past 5 years for the phrase “where to stay"
showed that the interest had increased over the years but faced an all-time low starting March 2020
when the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented. In the real estate industry, the
pandemic has boosted the digital revolution by forcing the property market companies to adopt new
ways of doing things. Recently, massive implementation of emerging technologies made its way
into benefiting the property market, however the applications of new interactive technologies such
as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) during Covid-19 have yet to be explored
extensively. The purpose of this study is to highlight how the increased usage of AR and VR
technologies are providing a smart and new boost on the market potential of the real estate industry
in Malaysia, inclusive with their benefits and weaknesses in the opinion of both specialists and
clients. For this research, an online questionnaire was distributed towards people with the
experience of buying property offline in which before and during the pandemic, which is by means,
online. The results were then analysed along with an interview with a property consultant in the aim
of providing a different perspective on the advantages and disadvantages of the rise of AR and VR.

ABSTRACT
I think we all can agree that online classes are one of the most obvious paradigms shifts in the
teaching and learning process that we are going through now. Traditionally, all educational
institutions from universities, colleges, and high schools applied face to face content delivery.
However, due to the unprecedented event which is the spread of COVID-19, it caused us to switch
the way we undergo our learning process which from face-to-face classes to online classes. So, this
research will focus on few topics which are the readiness of people to use the online learning, their
opinions, experiences, and suggestions for future improvements for online learning. In this research,
we have chosen diagnostic research for research design. We will be looking for the underlying
effects towards learning process in three aspects - inception, diagnosis, and solutions on the issues
as well. We have created a survey form via Google to analyze some of the SBP students experiences
throughout e-learning phase. Through our reading, we noted that most of the students prefered e-
learning styles rather than traditional learning styles, since e-learning provides bigger opportunity in
field of information. This research paper helps to draw a holistic approach of ongoing online
teaching-learning methods during this lockdown and then highlight changes that took place in the
conventional education system due to COVID pandemic. This research also helps to overcome the
persistent disruption in academic activities and to ensure the teaching and learning process through
online proceed as a normal course in this new educational system.

ABSTRACT
Paradigm shift is an important change that happens when the usual way of thinking about or doing
something is replaced by a new and different way. In the education system, a paradigm shift has
started happening in teaching and learning due to Covid 19 pandemic which has created the largest
disruption of the education system in history. It has been affecting students’ and teachers’ lifestyle
as the old way is replaced with the new paradigm; technology. The impact of COVID-19 on
education has created an opportunity for teachers to collaborate and innovate. However, it is not a
convenient way to learn as well as the rising number of problems that need to be faced by students.
The paradigm shift we are going through is a sudden shock considering there was no one having
spidey sense over the pandemic that was going to happen. The purpose of this research is to find out
more ways to improve the education system during the pandemic. In order to achieve this, we
should know the perspectives of teachers and students on teaching and learning. Our first move is to
survey the contentment of them to adapt to the new norm. Then, we will proceed with finding ways
to help them adjust with it. The outcome of the first method shows that students and teachers are not
comfortable with the changes. Hence, we believe that it is compulsory to be concerned about the
educational system to achieve the best result for everyone.

ABSTRACT
The spread of coronavirus disease or known as Covid-19, creates a significant impact on the global
economy. Covid-19 has affected economic performance, leading to a contraction in economic
growth and forcing industries to lower the employment rate. Despite the evolving pandemic,
comprehensive studies looking at the effect of Covid-19 on unemployment are still sparse. This
study aims to look at the effect of Covid-19 cases on the rate of unemployment for the selected
ASEAN-3 countries, which are Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Secondary data obtained from
World Development Indicators are used and analysed using descriptive analysis. The findings
indicate a significant effect of Covid-19 cases on the unemployment rate in Malaysia, Singapore,
and Thailand. Hence, policies should be appropriately outlined to soften the effect and promote
cooperation between the government, business, industries, and the people. Future studies focusing
on decreasing the unemployment rate and creating favourable business opportunities to boost
economic growth is proposed.

ABSTRACT
As we are undergoing the dark chapter in history that is the COVID-19 pandemic, one question
exists: what are the implications and changes brought about by this tragedy? This research aims to
answer that question by focusing on two subjects, which are healthcare innovations that may have
spurred during the pandemic and the mental health issues that arose during the pandemic, mainly
anxiety. Our research is carried out by reviewing scholarly articles and analyzing raw data to come
to our own conclusion. Through our research, we have found out that the time needed for a new
innovation to be introduced for public use has been greatly reduced this year compared to previous
years. For example, there are ventilators that cost under 500 dollars to make and they just need
several weeks to be produced, as opposed to ventilators that require years of development to be
produced. However, this effect might owe itself to the general technological progress through the
ages, and not the COVID-19 pandemic alone. This caveat necessitates further research into this
subject. Nevertheless, the pandemic has certainly played a part in pushing humanity’s finest
healthcare technologies to their absolute limits. On the other hand however, the mental health of
Malaysians has been observed to be in a steady decline since the pandemic started. Studies suggest
a 30 percent increase in anxiety disorder cases during late 2020 compared to earlier months of the
same year. The causes for this are varied, though it is hypothesized that uncertainty in providing for
one’s family due to unemployment and sedentary lifestyle might be some of the most prevalent
factors. As usual, more research needs to be done to achieve true certainty.

ABSTRACT
It is beyond doubt that the use of digital technology is gradually increasing today. After Mohd. Nor
disconnecting from the outside world and having to stay at home for a long time to reduce the
spread of the deadly virus, COVID-19, society has expressed a number of ways to entertain
themselves to overwhelm with the discouragement they mainly felt by using digital technology.
However, the social difference in society disables certain people to fully utilise digital technology
to provide entertainment as a coping method to get through this challenging time. This study
discusses the rapid adaptation of digital entertainment in society during the pandemic, defining
how social status differences act as limiting factors to entirely access digital entertainment and
inaugurate assortment of methods to engross with the digital technology advancement in the
entertainment industry. A virtual survey was conducted involving more than 100 students as well
as legal adults from different backgrounds to figure out their social status, their use of digital
entertainment during the pandemic, and their substitute if they cannot access their usual go-to
entertainment. Professionals' opinions on the increasing use of digital entertainment since
pandemic were taken into consideration too. This study suggests that the rise of digital technology
in entertainment over the course of the pandemic is due to the variety of ways that make it
approachable. Overall, despite this trying time, everyone can still enjoy such digital entertainment.

ABSTRACT
Being in the middle of a global health crisis, a virus known as Covid-19 has stricken the whole
society and caused tremendous impacts on mental health issues and human’s social life. Due to the
pandemic, many people have indicated the symptoms of anxiety, depressive disorder and antisocial
development. Recently, society has developed an anti-social disorder caused by isolating themselves
from others or generally called quarantine. By the same token, this has impacted the society to have
a low self-esteem and avoidance to interact starts to occur. As a matter of fact, most of the adults
have experienced loss of jobs that lead to financial problems. For example, debt can lead to
depression and suicidal thoughts. Financial problems are the main issue for the adults that have the
responsibilities towards the family to stay away from facing the misery of life. Another
consequence, this health crisis also gives a massive shock to students' education. The closure of
schools, colleges and universities has impacted the study’s cultures instantaneously. In fact, the
changing of the learning atmospheres that are not conducive could induce them to feel burdened
terribly. Furthermore, the difficulty of not having access to gadgets and lack of Internet connection
prone them to burnout severely. Conversely, there are various ways to adapt these negative effects
of Covid-19 which emphasize on living a balanced and healthy life, encouragement of positive
thinking and practice self-kindness. Therefore, society can consider these new normal as a beneficial
lifestyle and also as a new way to live.

ABSTRACT
The spread of COVID-19 that started as a health crisis promptly evolved into many types of threats
to the human population. Amidst the hardship, it has come to a minor realization that the
environment has changed to a better state in the last couple of the pandemic years. The aim of the
study is to investigate the public awareness of the consequences that occur towards climate change
due to the pandemic. The findings are essential to measure the level of awareness that is; great
changes in the climate have happened and will keep on going thus making the proposal of revised
blueprint of environmental policy be possible and fully supported by many more people if the study
is made public. To ascertain the level of awareness among residents of SM SAINS TAPAH, a
survey was performed with 77 randomly selected respondents. They were questioned about climate
change considering what occurred in their close surroundings during the outbreak. According to the
survey, about 73% of the respondents are aware of the issue, while the remaining 27% are more
likely to be oblivious. As an indication, the majority of respondents are indeed proven to be
sensible of the outcome that the pandemic has caused towards climate change. The implications of
the results proved that we are on the right track towards pursuing a greater future for our precious
environment.

ABSTRACT
The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought a huge impact towards society on a global scale. With this,
education has also made a major shift from face to face towards online learning in Malaysia. In
October 2020, the “Teaching and Learning at Home Timetable Implementation Guide” was
released by the Education Ministry. Home-based learning was introduced nationwide to make
learning possible at home. Nevertheless, many students faced various challenging issues along the
implementation of the home-based teaching and learning (PdPR). Since COVID-19 pandemic is
predicted to be a long healing process, students should try their best in adapting to the new learning
mode. In order to make online learning more effective, issues and challenges faced by students
have to be identified beforehand. This study aimed to investigate the challenges and obstacles
confronted by Malaysian students during switching to online learning due to COVID-19 pandemic.
A survey was created containing questions to investigate students' opinion towards the issues they
faced while learning online during the pandemic. A total of 200 students from different government
and private secondary schools in different states of Malaysia participated in the survey. This paper
adopts a descriptive statistical method to elaborate the findings of the study.

ABSTRACT
In line with United Nations SDG 13, the Malaysian government has manifested national initiatives
towards a greener environment via few climate-change-related programs such as the Green Township
Policy Initiatives. Sadly, the emergence of Covid-19 pandemic which demands the public to stay indoors
during the Movement Control Order has resulted in an inevitable rise in household electricity
consumption, hence stunted the government’s efforts in achieving SDG 13 goal. Realizing the weight of
this issue, this study aims to determine SMSAH community’s trend and level of awareness towards
domestic electricity usage besides exploring actions taken to reduce it. A quantitative 27-questions using
Likert Scale survey was conducted on 377 respondents. Findings demonstrate 86.7% of respondents
stated their electricity bill has increased with 33.9% paying more than RM300 monthly. The descriptive
data too shares suggestions to reduce electricity, namely using it wisely (163 respondents), utilizing
energy-saving appliances (46 respondents) and resorting to alternative solar power (29 respondents).
Using independent T-test for inferential data analysis, a comparison is made between students and
parents and the results indicate a significant difference pertaining to the level of awareness, yet there is
null difference related to their frequency of actions to reduce electricity. Thus, it is concluded that
though both groups present different levels of awareness, their actions to lessen electricity remain at
moderate levels. This study proposes measures like school awareness campaigns be carried out
consistently as constant reminders to the public. Our collective effort to lessen transmissions of
electricity will alleviate the impacts on our sickly climate.

ABSTRACT
Social impact is an effect of an activity towards individuals, society or even a country. The impact
could be either a positive or negative impact. The Covid-19 pandemic has left a big footprint,
affecting every individual’s social lives differently ever since it started in Malaysia. It is undeniable
to say that there are gains and losses of Covid-19 on a nation’s well-being. Research has
highlighted the impact on social well-being of the most exposed groups, including students and
teachers in Malaysia. The study has shown that the social distance and security measures have
affected the relationships of a number of students, making them unable to communicate with
teachers and colleagues. Thus, technological devices play important roles. These tools present
benefits that could improve communication between students such as the possibility to meet from
home, saving time and maintaining the relationships between students and teachers. The findings of
the study revealed that COVID-19 has negatively affected academic performance. There is a
significant difference in the academic performance of students in Malaysia and their level of
satisfaction with online teaching. The declining maths performance is the most worrying. Maths
achievement of students in 2020 (during lockdown) was about 5 to 10 percentile points lower
compared to students in the prior year. We can conclude that Covid-19 pandemic has affected the
normal communication system between students and teachers, resulting in the drop of academic
levels of students. The technological devices make up for it and play an important role in
researching and online learning.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to investigate the climate crisis and its drastic increase in magnitude
during the Covid-19 outbreak. Research has shown that the number of deaths and complications
caused by climate related problems has reached a tremendous amount at an estimated amount of
more than 8 million in the past decade. Numbers like these are to be expected considering that more
than 70 million tonnes of pollutants are released into the environment and it is estimated that this
amount would escalate in the next decade. A survey was created containing questions about an
increase of electrical appliance usage and other polluting agents. A sum of 180 individuals with a
wide variety of age groups were thoroughly surveyed. It was determined that a large number of
participants had an increased usage of plastic bags and polystyrene due to shopping online and food
delivery services. There is also an expected increase of electricity usage especially from participants
with families. The results of this survey suggest that even with an absence of vehicles on the road,
there is an increase in activities harmful to the environment. However, there are factors that cannot
yet be determined with such a small sample of participants. Therefore, the need for further
investigation is compulsory to fully comprehend the myriad of factors of the climate crisis during
these times.

ABSTRACT
During this pandemic, students are forced to adapt to the new online learning method. This caused
them to suffer from anxiety due to excessive workload and sudden change of environment. In this
case, Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) students are being put under more pressure because they are
expected to excel in various fields, not only academic. This study is conducted to propose anxiety
management via development of an online platform. The aim is to develop a new app that
overcomes the shortcomings of conventional methods, therefore allowing better anxiety
management among SBP students. The name decided for the app is Halcyon. 100 SBP students
across Malaysia will be surveyed on the effectiveness of Halcyon in managing anxiety among
them. This survey will be disseminated through google form and a poster about Halcyon will be
attached in the survey to provide better clarity on the app’s usage. It is believed that the majority of
the students will agree that this app is able to help them manage anxiety. Furthermore, this study
will review what existing apps lack so they could be improved and included in this app. This app
potentially helps to improve anxiety management among SBP students by allowing them to have a
more structured lifestyle and providing moral support. In conclusion, Halcyon has all the prospects
to be an accessible, user-friendly and beneficial app to improve anxiety management.

MAKTAB TENTERA DIRAJA ABSTRACT
One of the most impacted sectors when the Covid 19 pandemic hit the country was the tourism
Teacher Advisor : sector as Malaysia’s economy is highly dependent on it. Therefore, this study focuses on how
Covid-19 has affected tourism on local islands. There are three main subtopics which are
18 Munira binti Abdul Aziz recreational scuba diving, hotels and small local businesses. The challenge faced in the scuba diving
activity is that they are too dependent on international divers who come to visit the islands.
Likewise, the hotel industry is mostly dependent on tourists-local or foreign while the local small
businesses are mainly interrupted by the supply chain. Understandably, these problems emerged
because of the movement control order (MCO) that restricts travelling, even within the state for
Malaysians. Hence, this study is carried out to analyse the measures taken by the authorities and
how successful they have been. A mixed study was conducted to the business owners who operate
from the island through interviews and collection of secondary data. From the study, it is found that
the only way to improve the situation is to disband travel restrictions and ease the standard operating
procedures of the MCO. However, they are impossible due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases,
emergence of new variants and incomprehensive number of people being vaccinated. Clearly, if
there is no affirmative and immediate response taken, there is little to no chance for the business
owners to survive this pandemic and Malaysia will lose part of its main contributors in the tourism
industry.

ABSTRACT
Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, the government of Malaysia has put much effort into
finding methods to mitigate the outbreak including SOP regulation and contact tracing system.
On 20th April 2020, the Ministry of Health launched a sustainable IoT tracing app called
MySejahtera that empowers its users to assess health risk against COVID-19 and access
necessary information of countermeasures including vaccination appointment. However, the
effectiveness of this app depends highly on its uptake by the general population. The main
purpose of this paper is to investigate significant factors that influence students’ and teachers’
perceptions towards Iot tracing apps namely MySejahtera based on The Health Belief Model. A
set of verified questionnaires from previous research conducted by Department of
Communication Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Antwerp, Belgium is adopted
to collect descriptive quantitative data. 50 respondents which represent 10% of total population
are randomly selected from among students and teachers of SBPI Gombak as sampling. This
quantitative study is anticipated to help the decision makers particularly school administrators as
well as Fully Residential School Management Division MOE to have better insights of the
aforementioned research topic. Consequently, this may help to overcome problems pertaining to
the acceptance or refusal of IoT tracing apps among students and teachers during this pandemic
time.

ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused worldwide disruptions resulting in the closure of many sectors,
including the education sector. Despite the closure of schools and higher learning institutions, education
community continues on with the teaching and learning process. The lockdown by Malaysia's
government has resulted in the shift of physical classrooms to online teaching and learning. Challenges
faced by the teachers and students started from the importance of having adequate devices in ones’
household, internet access to different locations in Malaysia, plus the new teaching and learning
mediums or apps that need to be mastered by both parties. The objectives of this research are to study the
challenges faced by teachers and students in adjusting to this new era of online learning and how to adapt
to this new setting. The findings are collected through online articles and websites journals. The outcome
shows that there are an inadequate number of devices in one household to facilitate teaching and learning
process. Additionally, some teachers and students have poor internet access based on their locations and
income. Moreover, the barriers are for the students to engage in class and for the teachers to make
learning exciting. Thus, there is a need for the teachers to develop their online teaching methods by using
various tools such as Google Meet, Telegram Voice Chat and other mediums. The result also demands
for continuous professional development support from the education system.

ABSTRACT
In the recent past, governments all over the world have been severely affected by the pandemic of
Covid-19 which was circulating globally. This pervasive pandemic has led countries all over the
world to take safety measures in order to deal with this critical situation. These bad circumstances
also affected the educational scene that led to a paradigm shift in teaching and learning especially
in Malaysia. Due to the new norm, physical classes have to be changed to virtual learning in which
the students must learn using technology. These occurrences have resulted in conducting online
lessons using various platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Telegram. In the absence of
classroom-based learning, online learning offers huge productivity benefits. Teachers and students
can now experience the teaching and learning process more efficiently. Moreover, the learning
process has become more interactive since we can conduct a variety of activities using pop quizzes,
applications or just a simple slide presentation. For example, Quizizz, Google form and British
Council Webpage are frequently used by teachers to conduct classroom activities. Hence, learning
becomes more enjoyable and gratifying. The aim of our research is to assure people that online
teaching and learning is not as bad as people's cynicism but there are also gains which can be
obtained from this new way of education. In summary, online learning has brought about a positive
impact in the lives of students as it allows students to adapt to their own pace and convenience. It
also allows students to explore and develop their creativity and other necessary skills.

ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the education of youth worldwide by causing face-to-face
learning to become unviable. In light of this, teachers and students have adapted to online teaching
and learning from the comforts of their homes. However, in the pursuit of tailoring online learning for
the able-bodied, the needs of disabled students have been inadvertently overlooked. Due to the
isolated nature of online learning, disabled students face many difficulties ranging from lack of
supervision to the absence of interpreters that would allow them to understand what is being taught.
Such circumstances result in these disabled students being unable to adapt as easily to online learning
as their able-bodied counterparts. For the purposes of this research, we have identified these
categories of disabled persons: deaf and hard of hearing individuals, blind persons, and those with
various intellectual disabilities that can affect the learning process. With this case study, we hope to
provide solutions to improve disabled students’ online learning experience. The research design
adopted is descriptive in nature where qualitative data elicitation is acquired from survey
questionnaires, interviews and meta analysis to look for patterns. Findings from this study include
making online learning for the disabled more accessible and enhancing their understanding of the
subject matter taught in online classes.

ABSTRACT
It has been nearly 2 years since COVID-19 has emerged and made its presence felt across the
world. This pandemic has far reaching consequences. The ripple effect has been felt in all aspects
of life. Families were affected, thus societies also affected. When societies are affected, the whole
nation is also affected. Infection breeds fear, and lockdowns resulted in loss of incomes and jobs.
What our team is looking into was not just to zoom in on how COVID-19 affects the societies and
the nation, but also to look into possible solutions and suggestions. We will present findings on
how societies were impacted. This in turn will link with a nation’s well-being. The fight against
COVID-19 is still on-going, we will explore possible solutions to remedy the battered economy.
What may impact the economy, will in turn impact the societies. The exploration of this sub-theme
will involve interviews with individuals affected by this pandemic. Apart from looking at data from
the Ministry of Health (MoH) and other government agencies, we will try to come up with possible
solutions and suggestions that may be feasible to the authorities and invested parties to attempt in
solving these problems facing the societies and the nation as well.

KAJANG Malaysia has been experiencing a steady increase in preservation of nature despite
struggling with the pandemic for the past two years. The research team has decided to
uncover the motivations and reasoning behind the determination to preserve the
environment as well as how it is utilised as a tool of unification in these trying times.
The team has carried out an extensive internet research before conducting a survey
amongst SMAPK students as well as interviewing selected respondents in order to
highlight their thoughts and views. As a result, it was clear to see that most respondents
have high interest and confidence in preserving nature as an outlet of expression and
appreciation for the country. The team believes that preserving the environment is
certainly the way to go forward but how can it be done and why should it be done,
especially when there is a health crisis taking over the national interest? Let’s discover
these together.

ABSTRACT
Since the year 2019, a virus has seeped itself in a rural area in China. Little did we know,
the very same virus would cause every corner of the world to suffer from this widespread
pandemic. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, (SARS-CoV-2), caused
massive changes in the society we know today. Focusing the scope to our beloved
country, Malaysia, let us see what effects does it have here, the inventions that have been
created and what initiatives have been taken to halt further damages. Since we are
impacted by the Malaysian Control Order (MCO), the space for our source collecting is
limited to exploring the internet, and to ask close ones for their own opinions and
experiences. We found out that not only the pandemic affected every citizen in Malaysia
mentally, the efforts taken by us also have many flaws that can be spotted. Thus, we
displayed some additional steps that can be taken to increase effectiveness in curbing the
anxiety that can arise while battling this pandemic.

ABSTRACT
There is no denying the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has left a massive impact on the
economy as restrictions are required in order to cope with this pandemic. In this study, we
examine how the effects of COVID-19 have affected more than just a few countries. Our
research objective is to prove how COVID-19 has negatively impacted the global economy.
Based on our questionnaires posted online through various platforms and conducted
researches done by professional economists, statistics indicate that due to the pandemic, job
losses have increased immensely bringing to the rise of poverty rate. Other than that, COVID-
19 also slowed down, if not stopped, the tourism industry from expanding all around the
world. Consequently, the tourism industry went into a rapid downturn economically. Oil
prices also dropped due to the lack of demand and the halt of factory works since the
restrictions set in place for COVID-19. Since most businesses could not operate to its fullest
capacity, cash flow has been minimised and bringing effect to a market crash. As COVID-19
continues to spread, we firmly believe that the situation will deteriorate significantly if no
measures are taken.

Like any other things in the world, technology has its own benefits and drawbacks
where it raises one’s curiosity on whether it leans more towards the good side or vice
versa. This is where our sole purpose of research came forth in discovering why digital
revolution is direly essential to the community of human as the COVID-19 pandemic in
uproar, how the development of technology helps in counterattacking the COVID-19
and also implications that technology has brought up to people specifically during
COVID-19 pandemic. An online survey was conducted containing fundamental
questions regarding the usage of technology. A number of 164 people, from different
ranges of age were randomly surveyed as we released the form through social media
platforms in a span of 72 hours before we closed it. It was validated that everyone, let it
be students below 17 years old or those who are working, technology is essentially
needed on a daily basis especially since the pandemic hits us. The results showcase that
technology definitely benefits us in so many different ways but can also be the reason
as to why humans becoming more incompetent and laid back.

ABSTRACT
Over the years, global climate has grievously worsened in consequence to the growing economy
and inhumane pollution. This study seeks to prove how the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly
improved the worsening climate conditions we are enduring and what we can learn from the new
norm in order to sustain it. Although the global climate has notably improved during the
lockdown restrictions imposed by countries and industries, this unintentional effort is forecasted
to only be temporary and once the universal economy recommences, the climate will start to
worsen again. Consequently, emissions of greenhouse gases are expected to rise back to higher
levels. Hence, we are going to explain the efforts towards climate change through SDG13, proof
that greenhouse gases have been decreasing since the COVID-19 pandemic, and how we can deal
with the climate crisis in the near future based on the new norm. Our study is conducted by
carefully analysing and researching documents, correlating various trusted sources. From this
research, it is evident that Covid-19 and climate change have a close relation. In addition, to
recover and improve the terrible state of our climate globally, an immense amount of effort and
dedication is required. In this study, it can be summarised that humanity should look at this
situation as an economical reset where we can continue with industrial labour, but with a better
mindset prioritizing the ecosystem, focusing on adopting the green economy and hoping that the
global climate changes for the better.

ABSTRACT
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0), or Digital Revolution, has spurred to new heights
because of the pandemic as many have to rely on the internet and devices to continue with their
studies and work. The problem is this also has increased Digital Pollution. Digital Pollution is the
negative external effects on the environment caused by humans digitizing their culture for example
the social media platforms. It is crucial as if not addressed and tackled, might lead to environmental
disasters like increased carbon footprint. The objectives of this study are to investigate how the
Digital Revolution accelerated by the pandemic contributes to Digital Pollution and suggest what
can be done to reduce its increase. This study was carried out through the quantitative method of
distributing an online questionnaire about human digital behaviours that contribute to Digital
Pollution. A total of 60 students from SM Sains Seri Puteri and 50 working adults were randomly
assigned to answer this survey. The results show that there was a massive increase in the demand of
digital devices during the Covid-19 pandemic, many people used digital devices for more than six
hours in a day and the majority did not recycle their devices. This led to the conclusion that Digital
Pollution does increase exponentially because of the pandemic without any signs of slowing down
and this would create problems for the environment. These results propose the need to further
investigate ways to reduce Digital Pollution during the pandemic for a sustainable future.

ABSTRACT
Due to this pandemic, Malaysia's tourism is being curtailed by policy measures established by the
governments. Malaysians could not travel hence disrupted the domestic economy. There are two
main objectives of this research. First, to find out how much losses this pandemic has cost
Malacca’s local community economy and how they overcome it. Secondly, to discover plans from
the government to restore and reconstruct the tourism industry in Malacca again. In this study,
various methods have been used to obtain authentic information on the impact of COVID-19 on
Malacca's tourism. One of the methods we used was reading articles and researchers related to the
crisis on the internet. Next, we also interviewed some of the local community workers who work
in the tourism sector to gather more evidences. From the research, the outcomes that we obtained
prove that the pandemic has ravage effects on Malacca's local community economy which
depends on the tourism sector as a crucial industry in the economy. For instance, we found that
tourists’ arrival in Malacca has dropped by 70% from the year of 2019 to 2021. Besides,
Malacca's government itself has lost around RM 100,000 due to this pandemic and about 40% of
people who work in the tourism industry have lost their jobs. Some places in Malacca also have
been closed because the company is announced as bankrupt. In conclusion, the outbreak of
COVID-19 has adversely impacted on Malacca’s local community.

ABSTRACT
By late July 2021, at the time of writing this abstract, Covid -19 that had its outbreak in our country
last year had worsened. From time to time, Covid-19 cases have increased into numerous numbers
that are rather alarming. Doctors around Malaysia also have suffered due to the shortage of workers
and some people lost their lives fighting this disease. The purpose of this study is to show how
digital revolution has arisen in order to help solve the problems regarding this pandemic. We
collected the data from a survey and interviews among 30 participants consisting of students,
teachers, parents, relatives and those who had experiences with the revolution. For example,
teachers have started to use Google meet, Zoom and other digital applications as platforms to do
online lessons so that the students will not be left out in studies during the Movement Control Order
(MCO). Next, as Malaysians, it is compulsory for us to install MySejahtera application in our
smartphones. MySejahtera offers comprehensive information about the user's health status,
vaccination registration and appointment date, daily Covid-19 cases and more. As a result, we found
that the digital revolution has played the most important part in our life especially during this Covid-
19 pandemic. We have to keep track with the innovation and escape the millennium lifestyles for a
better future.

ABSTRACT
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, every layer of society has been affected differently.
Healthcare concerns, both physical and mental, have been increasing among society worldwide and
are proving to be an obstacle to the community's well-being. In uncertain times, healthcare
innovations have undoubtedly played a vital role in aiding the continuity of life. Furthermore, our
objectives are to discover the public’s mental health state during the pandemic and how healthcare
innovations improve the lives of people who are facing anxiety issues. A survey was conducted to
see the public’s experiences on anxiety. We managed to gather 384 anonymous responses from
people of all ages. The responses came from students aged 13 to 17 years old which makes up
81.5% while another 9.6% are submissions from people aged 40 and above. Among the common
symptoms of anxiety disorders -most experience overthinking (81.8%) followed by difficulty in
concentrating (78.6%) while the least experienced symptom is hyperventilation (41.7%). To
summarise, most students experience challenges academically especially in online learning (PdPR).
Difficulties to focus during virtual lessons accompanied by numerous at-home problems results in a
mental toll on them which has led some to even try to take their life. In addition, lack of motivation
is one of the main issues among students. On the other hand, people aged 40 and above worry
about their financial stability and have difficulties in juggling responsibilities as a parent and a
work-from-home employee. This survey indicates that different people are affected in lots of ways.

ABSTRACT
Covid-19 virus was first discovered in the city of Wuhan, Hubei, China on 31st of December 2019.
The World Health Organization declares that the outbreak is a Public Health Emergency of
International Concern on 30th of January 2020 and finally known as a pandemic on 11th of March
2020. This global outbreak brings the world into chaos as millions of people around the globe are
hugely affected. It influences human daily activities in which these unintentionally propose a
significant threat to the environment. This situation seems worrying as the environment itself
currently suffers enough problems due to the modernization. Therefore, the purpose of this research
is to identify how the pandemic could affect the human activities that eventually contribute to other
terrible effects towards the environment; climate crisis and change. In order to come up with a
reliable result, this research is carried out based on library research and data collection from
secondary sources. The results of this study shall provide a better platform for people to minimize
the environmental issues that occur throughout the pandemic and indirectly offer a better tomorrow
for the human beings.

ABSTRACT
COVID-19 pandemic has caused tremendous changes in everyone’s life. Schools are closed to contain the
spread of infection. Hence, classes are held online, and the students have to adapt to this new norm.
However, students are from different backgrounds, thus their perspective on distanced online learning is
crucial for future improvements. Therefore, this study is aimed to identify student’s perspectives on distance
learning online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic as students’ perspectives provide invaluable, first-
hand insights when new teaching approaches are used and when new technologies are being introduced.
Problem Statement: This study addresses the problems that students face attending online distance learning
as students come from different backgrounds and common complaints among teachers for oftentimes
attendance is not satisfying. Methodology: To achieve this aim, a google form was distributed to 110 Form
Four students to get their responses. Students were given a survey earlier to check on students’ readiness for
online classes. Another set of surveys was distributed to determine students’ perspective on online classes
after going through online classes for at least 10 weeks. Demographic information was gathered to
determine their effects on students’ acceptance of online classes. The Checklist and Likert Scale
questionnaire was created to measure students’ perceptions about the importance of techniques and
indicators leading to quality of online classes. Results: The analysed data revealed that despite turbulence
experienced by the students, they do believe that online classes bring them benefits that traditional classes
lack. Students also become more literate in ICT which aids students to develop their skills, boost their
confidence and widen their knowledge. Conclusion: Online classes improve open access to education yet it
is instrumental to equip education system with facilities and digital competency for a more effective
teaching-learning lesson.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has said: “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled
while his neighbour goes hungry.” The values of kindness and compassion towards the people
around us have become even more crucial to be upheld with the Covid-19 pandemic currently
looming large in our nation. This is because the prolonged lockdown measures implemented by the
Malaysian government in reaction to this has impacted our society negatively. The inadvertent
consequences of these measures are widespread grief and misery through the loss of livelihood and
jobs. Unfortunately, the situation is further aggravated as those who bear the brunt of this drastic
change are likely to suffer from severe depression, which could ultimately lead to suicide. In the
long run, this may affect the country, as a nation’s well-being is the sum of individuals' and families'
well-being. Interestingly, some see the pandemic as a blessing in disguise. While many are suffering
in these trying times, can we still see the good that it brings? Through our research, we have
discovered positive social impacts in the society as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic which help
mitigate these negative impacts. We hope that this shift of perception towards those suffering from
mental health issues will become permanent features as this change would make all the misery that
we suffered during the pandemic worthwhile.

ABSTRACT
For decades, Malaysia has been known as one of the shopping havens with events like Mega Sale
Carnival occurring monthly in all malls nationwide. However, this offline shopping scenario has
changed with the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide. Although e-commerce has been
established in Malaysia since the early 2000s, its growth has only recently increased significantly
to 24% within the first half of 2020. To understand this new trend, this study is conducted to
examine Malaysian consumers’ buying behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic. Subsequently, it
will focus on the influence and impact of e-commerce platforms on consumer behaviour and how
companies and small businesses respond to these changes. For this, two types of methods were
used; online questionnaire and online library research. The data from the questionnaire showed that
out of 200 participants, 96.2% had ordered online, with at least 81.8% agreeing that e-commerce is
essential during the Restriction Movement Order. Positively, almost half of the respondents would
consider to continue buying online even post lockdown, although some consumers are still
contemplating whether to embrace this new norm. Additionally, our library research indicated that
irrespective of the company size, almost all businesses are turning into e-commerce platforms to
cater to customers’ needs. As a result, companies can also minimize their investment along with the
benefits of expanding business growth and gain high profit in return. In conclusion, e-commerce
platforms are found to grow and thrive significantly even beyond the pandemic era since they can
satisfy consumers’ and businesses’ needs.

ABSTRACT
Covid 19 virus which was first reported in February 2020 has now become more aggressive and
fast spreading. The pandemic has wreaked havoc, causing the society to bear the brunt of the
impact. Undoubtedly COVID-19 has profoundly changed our lives, causing tremendous human
sufferings and challenging the most basic foundations of societal well-being. The poorest are the
hardest hit as they are unable to provide themselves with basic necessities such as food and shelter
due to small businesses’ closure or loss of jobs. Thus, being pushed to continue living in the streets
is their only option. The images of homeless families living under the bridges or in the alleys are
heartbreaking. Therefore, the aim of our research is to minimise the number of homeless
individuals and families with short term and long term housing support. This is to enhance personal
security, sense of belonging and strengthen social protection. Subsequently, the methodology that
will be used encompasses library research as well as analysing data obtained through online
surveys on homelessness and interviews conducted on housing support awareness. As part of the
methodology, the Housing Support System will also be developed to further enhance the
understanding of the system. Ultimately the research will produce outcomes such as the standard
operation procedure of applying the system, the analysis of data obtained on homeless people and
the design of the Housing Support System. Finally, the HSS will be the future of government
housing initiatives in order to produce a systematic and transparent living condition.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to maximise the potential of Virtual Reality (VR) technology by broadening the
VR field of usage to be more holistic. Our research is to assimilate VR technology into our
lifestyles to enhance the quality of life in creating a balance in mental health during the COVID-19
pandemic that has drained citizen’s physical and mental health. We see VR technology used in the
entertainment field especially in the gaming industry having the potential to allow the research
targets to experience realistic and interactive online environments that are artificially created.
After some observations and case studies based on the aspect of the gaming field, we recognise
and believe the latent potential in VR technology in our healthcare field. As now is about cutting
down human contacts, people's mental health is impacted greatly due to limited physical social
interactions. Therefore, our healthcare innovation which is a VR platform named VRCARE will
open a whole new world to the people to be socially active yet still adhering to the COVID-19’s
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This innovation is applicable to all citizens of Malaysia
regardless of ethnicity and social status. Through this, we can ensure the occurrence of continuous
communication between people so that we will feel less lonely and isolated from the others which
has resulted in serious emotional disruption that could lead to mental illness. With this integration
of technology, we are one step closer to being a COVID-19-free nation.

ABSTRACT
The Standard Operative Procedures (SOP) as the precautionary and preventive measures taken to
contain this pandemic has severely impacted the social lives of our citizens in several aspects. Various
Covid-19 preventive measures such as social-distancing, self-isolation, travel restrictions and the new
norms have been imposed in the light of this ongoing pandemic. As such, we aim to identify the degree
to which these preventive measures have caused various social problems for Malaysians from all walks
of life, irrespective of their race, gender or age and how to improve our social situation. As such, our
objectives for conducting this research are to first identify the different types of social impacts caused
by the implementation of the SOP, secondly, to investigate how these social impacts affect the
wellbeing of fellow Malaysians, and finally, to come up with methods to improve the declining social
situation of Malaysia during the Covid-19 pandemic. These social aspects include the human relations,
social interaction, employment, education and even emotional health of our citizens. This research
utilizes the mixed research method. For the purpose of gathering reliable and valid data, we have
chosen to employ two data collection tools, first of which being an online questionnaire that will be
distributed to 30 respondents from Johor, regardless of their gender, age, race or religion, whereas the
second being to conduct a semi-structured interview with 5 willing participants.

ABSTRACT
This study is conducted to explore the global economic consequences of the COVID19 pandemic
towards the tourism industry. The objective of this study is to specify the effects of the collapse in
the tourism industry on huge businesses. Qualitative method was adopted, where data was
collected from secondary sources like journals, newspapers, international tourism organizations
and websites. The number of tourist arrivals in Malaysia has depleted exponentially by 83.4% in
2020 from 26,100,784 tourists recorded in 2019. Furthermore, the downfall of attraction spots like
zoos and theme parks are also one of the repercussions of the pandemic. Malaysian Association of
Hotels (MAH) has estimated a loss of RM560.72 million revenues for the movement control order
(MCO) period. Hotel occupancy rate has also plummeted and some of the workers are given an
unpaid leave or a salary cut down. Airlines and airports are greatly affected too. For example,
Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, and Malindo Air have, to date, lost a whopping RM10.9 billion and
another RM2.1 billion all because of the deadly pandemic and the travel restrictions. This research
outlines a framework with a recovery plan for the future of tourism, especially in Malaysia.

ABSTRACT
This study is aimed to investigate how the lockdown impacted the mental health of Malaysians from
all groups of ages namely children, teenagers, adolescents and elders. Mental health is deemed to be a
state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities emotionally and
psychologically. In this study, we assess the prevalence of mental health problems which arise and
escalate during this pandemic by creating an online survey via Google Form and interviewing
teenagers. In the survey, we provide basic questions about mental health to our targeted group of
study. It was determined that most Malaysians are dealing with bad mental health at home due to
financial problems, depression and social connections. Additionally, as many as 81.3% of
respondents have had suicidal thoughts during the pandemic. Subsequently, our research showed an
outcome that managing mental health should be prioritized as many people are dealing with tough
times confined under lockdown at home. There are certain ways to curb this problem such as doing
yoga and eating well. However, our study found out that there are ways to manage mental health by
incorporating innovations into our life. By incorporating innovations into our way of living, we could
help people to detect and treat mental health problems. For instance, innovations that will help users
detect early signs of depression like prescription video games, AI- and Smartphone Assisted Therapy
and the platform tracks user’s mood on the Internet.

ABSTRACT
Digital Revolution refers to the advancement of technology from analog electronic and
mechanical devices to the digital technology available today. Digital revolution is important in
order to ease human life. Recently, COVID-19 pandemic has become the catalyst for the rise of
digital usage. The pandemic has exposed the limitations of the traditional economy, public health,
education system and technology. The authors share how the digital revolution transformed these
traditional landscapes with new and refined capabilities. In this COVID-19 era digital revolution
is needed to overcome certain unavoidable problems in education, economy, health and science
and tech. However, in overcoming these obstacles, there is also the challenge of the digital divide,
the gap between the rich and the poor. Our presentation will hopefully show all these in the same
way the virus has exposed the flaw and serves as a wake up call to show just how flawed the
digital revolution is. The digital revolution that is happening must not be controlled or benefits the
few and selected, but its effects must be altruistic so that it will benefit the whole of mankind. It is
undeniable that all digital revolution has the same attention which is to make technology even
more human-friendly. Nevertheless, the main problem is the critical digital divide where many
people can’t access these facilities. We seek to find solutions to the stated problems and hopefully
discover new potential for the good of mankind.
