ABSTRACT
The current Covid-19 pandemic is an unprecedented global crisis, caused by the SARS-CoV-2
virus that can trigger respiratory tract infection. As most of us are aware, the virus has impacted the
world in a myriad of ways, including the more obvious environmental changes and norms. Due to
this virus’ rampant nature, several strategies have been proposed, planned, and implemented to
overcome its deadly contagion. Since the pandemic has become a global phenomenon in 2020, the
amount of both medical waste and general waste has steadily increased globally when nations
across the globe try to combat the virus while a majority of the public remain indoors to minimize
the threat of the virus. Consequently, this has brought forth a new separate major threat to the
environment. In this research, we had examined the implications of medical waste generation from
Covid-19 sample collection, diagnosis, treatment, and disinfection of the patients from hospitals.
We have also elaborated further on how the amount of general waste has skyrocketed due to the
constant quarantine order. Thus, we must be concerned with the repercussions of these research
findings on our environment. For the foreseeable future, we had suggested how medical waste
should be carefully and properly managed according to strict medical protocol. The use of
wastewater treatment was also discussed here to help resolve disinfections issues and how
competent management of both industrial and municipal wastes could pay dividends. On a side
note, there are more improved strategies suggested to reduce the risk of environmental changes.

ABSTRACT
The outbreak of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) ever since December 2019 has been substantially affecting
the world, causing drastic changes around the globe consequently impacting the lives of many. This pandemic
has posed a huge threat to public health, necessitating a shift towards global healthcare while also having a
great impact on this industry. Modern healthcare systems face unprecedented challenges, yet the industry's
reaction has eloquently proved its resilience and capacity to bring innovations to market. Simultaneously,
public mental health is further afflicted resulting in significant productivity loss. This broad concept includes
mental problems such as anxiety. Our aim is to show how healthcare innovations and mental health anxiety
management do provide some lights in helping us to fight Covid-19. The question whether the pandemic is a
gain or loss is hoped to be answered from this research. For instance, hospitals are adopting robots to give
COVID-19 relief and virtual reality (VR) to train healthcare professionals. Similarly, in terms of mental health
anxiety management, methods of anxiety management have been identified along with the significance they
bring during this pandemic. Qualitative approach through questionnaires, survey questions and direct
interviews with frontliners, counsellors, students together with the general public will be carried out thus
allowing us to envision healthcare breakthroughs during the pandemic and how effective they aid in curbing
the COVID-19 along with the repercussions to the society. From this study, we may conclude that the
pandemic has spurred innovation advancement in healthcare furthermore affecting the mental health of
individuals. We hope that through this study, society will acknowledge the importance of health and social
development as well as address mental health anxiety issues.

The coronavirus disease (Covid 19) death toll has soared past 4.14 million globally which is
Teacher Advisor : increasing rapidly around 220 countries and territories. It is spreading globally, which is not merely a
health problem but also affects the world economy and the environment in diverse ways. While
48 Noor Azilah binti Abd Aziz COVID-19 is causing severe damage to economies and societies, it has also affected the environment
in a positive manner as pollution has reduced significantly. Due to COVID-19, governments have
imposed restrictions on the movement of people, vehicles, and suspended industrial activities. The
consequences of such lockdowns have been remarkable, as pollution levels have dropped
significantly; for instance, greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen dioxide, black carbon, and water
pollution have decreased drastically. Based on our analysis, the cause of these greenhouse gas
emissions is by active human activities such as transportation, poor management of disposable items,
fashion industry, manufacturing of electrical utilities that releases chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), and
human carbon footprint. There are some gains and losses that can be listed to show the circumstances
of the impact of this pandemic on the human lifestyle and the environment. During our research, we
had found that these greenhouse gases that produced during human industrial activities slightly
possess effects to the environment such as glaciers melting, flower blooming out of season, the rise of
ocean temperature, heavy rain, hail and loss of biodiversity. Therefore, we have concluded there are
few ways to overcome these influences that could be advocated through joint solidarity.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a major catastrophe and has left all parties of the economy perplexed.
To shed light on this matter, this research aims to concisely inform the general public about the
ongoing affairs in order to avoid unneeded panic, irrational decisions and ultimately help people to
face the pandemic. This research has been conducted to study the global economic consequences of
the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected the global population. The ongoing pandemic has
affected major fields of the global economy in which case two major industries are taking a
downturn, namely the aviation and tourism industries. This is a quantitative research where
questionnaires were distributed to pilots, airline workers, hotel managements and travel agencies.
Approximately 200 surveys, the questionnaire is mainly scattered around the South East Asian
region together with Oceania through emails in the form of google form. The data gained, such as
the increase in the unemployment rate and the decreasing rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
per capita was analysed statistically. In summary, the COVID-19 pandemic has unimaginably
shifted the economic balance and caused changes that are either long lasting or permanent. With
the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination, it is hoped that it could help these industries to gain back
their revenue or to start fresh.

COVID-19 is a short form to Coronavirus disease 2019 which is an illness caused by a
novel coronavirus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-
2; formerly called 2019-nCoV). This virus has become the main challenge for the world,
especially for the global economy. The global economy refers to the interconnected
worldwide economic activities that take place between multiple countries. The
economic activities include tourism, manufacturing, trading and business. This study
aims to investigate the global economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. A
documentary research has been conducted in order to obtain the information about the
problem. It is widely known that the pandemic has put a toll on trade flows and
businesses as they keep on decreasing from year 2019 to now, year 2021. International
tourists arrival also has dropped since the year 2019 as travel restrictions remained high
due to the coronavirus pandemic. On the other hand, the global manufacturing industry
has been showing negative results due to this pandemic as well. These results suggest
the need for further research to investigate what the pandemic has done to our economy.

ABSTRACT
COronaVIrus Disease 2019 (COVID -19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered
novel coronavirus now called severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARs). COVID-19 is attacking
the whole world including our beloved nation Malaysia. Our research is focusing on Malaysia.
The Malaysian government has done its best to curb this disease from spreading. We nearly win
against COVID-19 before and surely we can win again. Our problem statement is to reveal the
Malaysian government responses on all levels of communities in Malaysia be it B40, M40 or
T20, living in the city or in the village, and the impacts especially to family relationship and
friendship. The research's main objective is to see whether the new rules and standard operating
procedures (SOP) set by the Malaysian government to control COVID-19 from spreading have
improved or destroyed the bonds in the relationships. Our way of gaining information for our
research is by reading and going through different social medias (Facebook, Instagram and
Twitter) - places where most people expressed their feelings and situations in the current
pandemic condition, alongside with the news from newspapers and television. Our research
outcomes and findings are various, there are some gains and some losses faced by the community
in their relationships in this nearly 2-year pandemic. The whole nation is trying hard to follow the
standard operating procedure and praying even harder so that our nation will win in fighting
against this COVID-19 pandemic soon.

The world we know has been attacked by the newly discovered Coronavirus disease known as
Teacher Advisor : Covid-19, which was discovered during late December 2019 in China, and has spread throughout
the globe like wildfire. Covid-19 has impacted our world in many ways, including the economic
52 Balqis Nadiah binti Lazli sectors which were affected in a very critical way. Most industries are not allowed to operate in
order to prevent further spreads. For instance, the airline companies are critically affected and have
caused them to suffer from severe stock performance. Based on the International Air Transport
Association the aviation industry has lost $84.3 billion in 2020. On the other hand, there are also a
few industries that were positively affected. For instance, the medical industry has made over $6.7
billion in 2020 based on the world medical association. They gained much profit for manufacturing
gloves and preparing medical services. Covid-19 has made many people lose their jobs as well as
steady income. Based on the current observation, people are starting to opt for online business at
home as a second job to meet their daily needs because most of them are underpaid and need to
work harder to earn money. Needless to say, the government is using their power to stop the
economy from drowning by taking risky actions such as providing medical equipment and
strengthening the laws. Finally, it may be concluded that Covid-19 is a double-edged sword by
affecting the economy in a negative and positive way.

ABSTRACT
The development of a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Wuhan city, December 2019 has left
people around the world in such terrible condition. The virus is now becoming the hottest topic that
people are worrying about. This paper aims to provide knowledge and awareness to the society
regarding what happened during this pandemic. But, have you ever thought about the change of the
earth during this pandemic. Throughout the pandemic, scientists have been constantly observing,
they get that there are good and implementations of lockdown. Some good perspective we can look
at the ocean, sea, and river. Clean rivers and other water bodies have a significant positive effect on
aquatic life. Many species are returning to their natural habitats since the induction of the
lockdown. The closure of factories and commercial establishments has dipped the pollution level
across the globe. Not only the land animals returning but even the sea creatures seem to enjoy this
break from the noise and water pollution. There are also some negative consequences of COVID-
19, such as increase of medical waste, and burden of untreated wastes continuously endangering
the environment . In conclusion, all parties need to take responsibility for taking action against the
changing environment to ensure that the situation returns to normal as it once was.

ABSTRACT
The spread of Covid-19 has forced millions of students and teachers to move their communication
online, causing havoc in the educational system. As a result, education has changed dramatically,
with the distinctive rise of online learning, where teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital
platforms. The schools are closed until further notice and we have to adapt to new norms. Teachers
and administrators are working hard during lockdown trying to keep students on track, shifting to
online learning within the shortest time. This pandemic has forcefully shifted the mode of teaching
and learning from face to face to online, which is new experiences and practices for many of the
teachers and students. This study is aimed to investigate how teachers and students deal with one of
the new norms caused by the pandemic which is, online learning and is it, a stress or a blessing, in
relation to its benefits, challenges and strategies. To achieve the objective, articles, books, surveys,
QA questions, interviews, web pages and online research were employed. A survey will be carried
out for a total of 30 teachers and 30 students. The results will reveal that time management skills,
technological preparedness and computer literacy are basic qualities for online learning. Online
learning may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but embracing change during this pandemic will
certainly bring a positive impact in the education landscape.

ABSTRACT
The virus has been spreading for more than one year. The unstable economy of the countries and
weakened family unit are the most known problems in society nowadays. However, students are
also badly affected. They face a whole life-changing situation when their face-to-face classes are
disrupted. With the new syllabus and examination formats, students might not achieve desired
results. Imagine 24 hours a day with their strained eyes facing the screen to join the classes, finish
the homework and even help their family with the house chores. In addition, Asian students are
stated that they can feel more pressure to conform to the stereotype of the high-performing
academic. So, the team has come up with an idea to make research on the effectiveness of online
learning, especially in Southeast Asia. The objective of this research is to find out the most likely
problems that students are facing and to give solutions in which platform, other than Google Meet
and Zoom, will be convenient for students. For instance, Microsoft Teams and Discord. Next, we
will use the most common way to make our survey. First, we use the google form containing some
simple questions based on their perspectives to collect the data, gains and losses. Second, we make
a video call with them to ask a few questions. To conclude, this research will be able to answer the
questions given about the effectiveness of online classes yet can solve students’ problems regarding
the platform and the knowledge gained.

ABSTRACT
In these times of uncertainties and crises, the world has been shaken by the news of Covid-19 time
and time again as cases kept affecting numerous aspects of the country. One of those being the
education sector, as this pandemic has brought a huge unprecedented impact on students and
teachers alike. This has caused multiple countries to be forced to have their schools and other
education institutions closed physically to prevent further spread of Covid-19, which in turn causes
classes and lectures to be suspended indefinitely. Therefore, online learning is introduced to students
as the only method for them to continue on with their school years during the pandemic. However,
as it is in life, there are multiple upsides and downsides that will be faced by students with this new
wave of online learning. As delegates of FRSIS 2021, we will be comparing and judging between
online learning and face-to-face learning. So, are there any relevant solutions to the problems one
might face during the pandemic? After we have finished presenting our findings, you can learn more
about the solutions that could be applied to multiple education issues caused by the pandemic.
Without further ado, let us present to you the results of our research.

ABSTRACT
As the agent of change and the backbone of the nation, it is imperative for students to be
adequately prepared to meet the demands of the changes driven by the digital revolution. Despite
being digital natives, students were reported to be ill-prepared with the digital knowledge and skills
to survive in their digital futures. Arguably, the Covid-19 pandemic is perceived as a catalyst for
the digital transformation among the students as they come to rely more on the digital technologies
in all aspects of their lives, thus making them sufficiently equipped with the knowledge and skills.
Therefore, this research attempted to determine the use of digital technologies among the form four
students during the Covid-19 pandemic. It further explored how the use of digital technologies
affected the students specifically in terms of the soft skills acquired. In general, this mixed-method
research had revealed how the digital transformation among the students had been accelerated by
the Covid-19 pandemic. The students’ active engagement with digital technologies during the
pandemic can be seen in a number of aspects particularly education, social interaction, healthcare,
entertainment and lifestyle. It is noteworthy that apart from developing their technical skills, the
students’ use of digital technologies has also enabled them to improve their soft skills such as
problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.

ABSTRACT
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, we have come to a realisation that shifts occur in almost every field. The
focus is to see how far healthcare innovations have been improvised and how effective is the mental
health anxiety management among students. With the worsening pandemic, the innovations in
healthcare have improved. For example, the production of mRNA vaccine and MySejahtera
application by the government. Although strict measurements have been implemented to curb the
spread of virus, mental health problems spark through students vigorously such as anxiety. Hence this
research is done to know more about the healthcare innovations and to analyse how frequently mental
health becomes a problem among students in Malaysia. Two methods, mainly a research survey is
done to 100 students and to strengthen the claim, an internet-based research method is also used.
Questionnaires regarding opinion on healthcare innovations and mental health are distributed to the
respondents while internet-based methods are done by exploring the internet such as social media.
This research has brought an agreement where the healthcare innovations have improved but anxiety
problems among younger generations have worsened over the time. Out of the 100 respondents,
20.4% face minimal to moderate anxiety, 6.6% of them facing severe anxiety, and 2.8% are having
extreme anxiety problems due to poor management. The stressors are remote online learning, being
alone and financial constraints. Nearly 60% of the respondents did also agree that the healthcare
innovations have been improving amidst this pandemic even are not adequate. Future studies should
be done to improve healthcare innovations and better mental health management.

ABSTRACT
As Covid-19 continues to strike the world, we may observe that many people are affected,
especially their social well-being. To make it clear, well-being means the state of being positive,
having a meaningful social relationship as well as connection. The objective of this research is to
study the social impact of Covid-19 on youth in Malaysia. The main reason why we choose this
age group is that they are one of the affected groups among Malaysians. Moreover, they have the
highest risk of getting infected by their social activities. A survey, interview sessions and social
observations to the target group will be carried out. Through the observation, the research has
highlighted that most of the social impacts are negative and could be the main reason they are
unable to live in the future that they dream of. Furthermore, the study also revealed some
challenges the youth need to encounter in the closedown of education due to the outbreak of the
Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that this research will lead to a better solution in assisting the
young generation to adopt and adapt to this new normality.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate climate change during the COVID 19 pandemic. During the
pandemic, the government implemented Movement Control Order (MCO) to counter it. Due to this,
the carbon dioxide emissions are reduced as people are restricted from going out along with
industries, and public transport is temporarily halted which improves air quality. However, our
research concludes that plastic waste increases during this quarantine as plastic products play
significant roles as protection from the virus such as face shields and gloves. Buying food online has
also contributed to plastic pollution. Widespread usage of such products creates massive disruptions
in the waste disposal system as they take a long time to decompose. Irresponsible individuals also
litter everywhere including rivers and cause water pollution. Our investigation reveals several
methods for tackling this issue. These methods include creating reusable personal protective
equipment (PPE), law enforcement, and education for people on proper waste management.

ABSTRACT Mohamed Supian
The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and
improve the lives and prospects of everyone around the world. Digital revolution under SDG9 focuses on
building resilient infrastructure and fostering innovation. This study will focus on the rise of digital
revolution under SDG 9 in the agenda, mainly on the terms of communications infrastructure during the
pandemic. In response to COVID-19 worldwide, including in Malaysia, digital technologies are being
harnessed to support the public-health. During the pandemic, in the means of combatting the spread of
the virus, a stern and solid action needs to be conducted by utilising the advancement in digital
revolution. From this study, we aim to prove the benefits of technology and look at how Malaysia
overcomes the barrier of technology in combatting the pandemic. In Malaysia, MySejahtera is widely
used for the purpose of population surveillance, case identification, contact tracing and evaluation of
interventions on the basis of mobility data and communication with the public. This study focuses on
capturing the extensiveness of digital revolution as a response to COVID-19 in Malaysia and its
limitations, and barriers to their implementation. This study is conducted by doing various literature
reviews on existing studies related to the topic, as well as by distributing questionnaires to the public and
premise owners to find their perspectives of the usage of the MySejahtera App. Apart from that,
interviews are also conducted with related personnel to get an in-depth standpoint for the study. Malaysia
is moving steadily forward in digital revolution particularly in dealing with the pandemic now and we
hope to see a more extensive utilisation of digital technology in strengthening pandemic management, as
well as future preparedness for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases in the future.

ABSTRACT
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in the execution of home confinement and the
indefinite extension of school closures. It is critical to raise awareness of the pandemic's long-term
impact on students’ health and well-being. The use of the online learning system, the enormous
number of activities given by teachers in schools that must be entirely independent might exacerbate
students' academic anxiety. This study aims to determine the amount of academic anxiety among
secondary school students in Terengganu Fully Residential Schools, as well as the factors that
contribute to anxiety. In this quantitative study, 200 Form 4 and Form 5 respondents from the
selected schools completed an online questionnaire using Google Form, and the data was then
analysed descriptively using SPSS Version 22. The questionnaire collected information on
sociodemographic factors and daily life factors during the online class. The questionnaire’s results
might help identify the respondents’ level of anxiety and the factors that contribute to it. It is
intended that the findings will serve as a springboard for additional research into students'
experiences after completing online learning and for finding answers to anxiety issues among
students in general.

ABSTRACT
We have been leading an anxious existence ever since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The
advice to “stay home, stay safe” is what we hear every day and everywhere in the world now. Global
economic consequences of the pandemic can be seen and felt by all as most countries are now in
recession – the outbreak has caused direct impacts on income due to premature deaths, workplace
absenteeism and reduction in productivity, unemployment, closures of businesses and industries,
reduction of demand on transportation services, trade disruptions and decimation of tourism industry.
The lockdown measures to tackle the spread of the virus have almost paralysed many daily economic
activities. Tourism industry, international and local tourism practitioners have been badly scarred by
Covid-19 and are grappling in surviving to overcome the financial loss. Pharmaceutical industry, on
the other hand, has gained billions of dollars in their annual sales for Covid-19 vaccines and
treatment options. Thus, we interviewed several entrepreneurs like pharmacists, travel agencies and
the public, asking about issues on economy, tourism and vaccination. As a result, we have obtained
useful feedback to help revive the economy due to the pandemic. Drastic measures needed now
starting with vaccination must be made compulsory, travel bubbles should be implemented and
public responsibility awareness should be drastically increased. Being loyal citizens with public and
moral responsibility, we should play a significant role as countermeasures to fight and overcome this
threat. We need to learn to live with the virus but do not let it overtake and overrule our lives forever.

ABSTRACT
In view of the current pandemic situation, many were reported to have lost their jobs which left the
citizens to resort to online businesses to survive. Being small and inexperienced entrepreneurs, these
businesses leverage on the use of digital marketing. Meanwhile, teenagers have now become full-
time netizens due to the influence of global digitalisation and online peers. Therefore, our project
proposes to engage teenagers in assisting the new entrepreneurs in promoting their products and thus
revitalising the current economic situation. Based on ethnographics and surveys, it shows that most
teenagers in Malaysia commonly use social media like Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok to keep
abreast with the current trends and issues. Hence, we resorted to mainstream social media as our
platform to create awareness regarding the economic situation and how it has affected the welfare of
new businesses by forming the engagement under the project’s tagline. The project will be executed
through a medium-scale online campaign where we post short informative videos, infographic
posters on selected social media platforms and hold a one-day talk via Google Meet and Facebook. It
will also involve other local high schools and organisations like LeapEd as a platform to spread
awareness to students, aged between 13-17. In summary, our project foresees the engagement of
teenagers by promoting the small businesses online in revitalising our current economy, aligned with
Sustainable Development Goal 8; to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth,
full and productive employment and decent work for all.

ABSTRACT
Climate change has long been the focus of contention on a global scale. In 2019, an
unanticipated virus outbreak diverted all focus to it, causing climate change to fall in priority.
Both issues are inextricably linked, without many being aware of it. Initially, the pandemic
managed to slow the rate of climate crisis during lockdown, but it gradually backfires as the use
of Covid-19 spread prevention materials increases. The proposal we brought upon focuses on the
containment methods – namely, changes, that the authorities must make and implement in order
to reduce pollution, specifically plastic usage. This study focuses on how the pandemic has
contributed to a more serious climate crisis caused by plastic usage, as well as how the
authorities can control the effects of pollution in order to help slow the rate of pollution and
make the world a better place. The proposal we presented is to persuade the authorities to
strengthen policies, specifically by paying more attention to the climate crisis, such as
implementation of a carbon tax, campaigns on eco-friendly everyday items, and, finally,
investment in renewable energy. We also believe that our proposal will pique the interest of the
aforementioned authority sectors, private agencies, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
in participating in this effort to promote pollution-free awareness. A compassionate action
towards a better world, with firm awareness of plastic usage and responsible authorities, could
lead to a beautiful, harmonious, and peaceful world tomorrow.

ABSTRACT
Digital revolution, in general, is the advancement of technology from analog electronic and
mechanical devices to the digital technology available today. Technologies have enabled us to
reduce the cost and make everyone’s lives better. However, due to the on-going pandemic,
workers in the businesses sectors are so inundated with emails and everything is being digitized
which has caused workers to have less time to focus on critical and creative thinking. Therefore, a
study must be conducted to identify the optimum way in harnessing the full power of digital
technology while measuring the efficiency of data processing, retrieving information, presenting
knowledge, and one-to-one communication. The main objective of this study is to observe
technological developments in business during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used for this
study were collected through literature survey and contacts such as semi-structured interviews
with experts. Our study has shown that the current events have accelerated the paradigm towards
digital revolution as evidenced by the increase of digital adoption in the business sector due to the
differences in knowledge and experience promoting sales both offline and online. To sum up,
every business sector should master and dive through the digital revolution to survive during this
pandemic.

ABSTRACT
Within two years, the whole world has been shocked by the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 is a
large family of viruses that cause many diseases ranging from flu to serious illnesses like SARS and
MERS-CoV. It spreads primarily through droplet transmission. A lot of the sectors have been closed
to prevent it from spreading. In education, the pandemic has stopped teaching and learning progress
in schools. It has created a paradigm shift in education from face-to-face learning to online learning.
The changes have raised various issues among students and teachers about the implementation of
online learning. However, there is a lack of research conducted in the rural areas especially in Sabah
which is one of the big states with a large number of rural areas in Malaysia. Hence, this research
has been conducted to determine the challenges faced by teachers and students as a result of online
learning and also hopes to identify the ways to improve the effectiveness. To achieve these
objectives, this quantitative study was conducted among selected students and teachers across
Sabah. Data were collected through a reliable questionnaire consisting of demographic information
and questions about online learning which was then analysed. Our findings indicate that poor
internet connections and lack of devices are the most common challenges faced by the students. On
the whole, this pandemic has greatly affected the teaching and learning process that was normally
conducted face to face but now it has changed to online learning.

ABSTRACT
Mental health is a common problem worldwide, including Malaysia, especially during the
worldwide pandemic outbreak. It has drastically affected our lives which constitutes innovations
in healthcare management. This pandemic outbreak is undeniably a glaring threat to the health
of people globally in an unprecedented manner. This study investigates the importance of
coping with pandemic crises in proper ways. Therefore, this study aims to improve the quality of
life during lockdown through healthcare innovations. This is a quantitative study as the study
was conducted using online surveys. The respondents involved were school students aged 13 to
17 years old, university students and young working adults. This study found that these people
experience incessant fear or worry about their own health and of their loved ones, difficulty in
fighting procrastination in daily activities, and also diminishing social skills due to lack of social
interactions. Fortunately, we are able to manage mental health problems properly by using
appropriate health innovations such as Telehealth. It is found that Telehealth is appropriate to be
used in times like this as it can be used at home where it provides security for both healthcare
providers and patients. The findings of this study revealed that Telehealth gives a glimmer of
hope to those affected by the pandemic in many ways, to know that they are still able to seek
help when it comes to coping and managing their mental health.

ABSTRACT
Covid-19 is every nation’s obstacle at this current moment. The deadly virus, which is highly
infectious, had greatly impacted the workings of a nation in a variety of aspects. In our
presentation, we will uncover the main aspects which includes health, economy and societal
interactions of covid-19. We hope to achieve a better understanding of the locals’ opinion about the
issue through a questionnaire and conducted interviews to discuss more about the influence of
covid-19. The virus has socially impacted a nation’s well-being, both positively and negatively.
Through our collected data, the locals are distressed with the situation but they will never lose hope.
The undergoing vaccination programme and welfare support provided by the government are
shining beacons of hope during these dark times. Acts of kindness are even more prominent these
days, as citizens help each other to survive. However, we cannot escape from the negative impacts
of covid-19. The people are worried for the nation’s economic future and the fate of many
companies as covid-19 cases continue to surge. Workers are fired from their companies and job-
seekers are struggling to bring food to the table. Moreover, citizens subjected to strict movement
orders (MCO) are facing stress and mental health problems from being confined in their homes for
too long. Even so, where there is darkness, light will always prevail. It is hoped that we are able to
portray the two sides of covid-19 through this action research.

ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic has significant impacts on the global economy. According to ILO due to
the current quarantine measures, it affects 2.7 billion workers, which represent around 81% of the
world's workforce. This uncertain condition forces people to think critically seeking better solutions
to increase economic growth; self-disruption in trading. This study aims to analyze the self-
disruption among the low-computer literate traditional local traders to shift from traditional to
online way of tradings to face the global economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. This
is a descriptive qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research focuses on the
process, the obstacles, and the self-disruption of the traditional traders. The data is gained by
analyzing the statistics, observations, and interviews. To strengthen the findings, a quantitative
study is conducted by analyzing the progress of the shift from traditional to online trade. The data is
collected using the questionnaires. The sample of the study is the low-computer literate and
traditional local traders in the Purworejo Regency. The results of this study indicate that 1) the
traditional and low-computer literacy traders have disrupted their handed-down trading systems, 2)
the negative impacts of the covid-19 pandemics have successfully changed the low-computer
literate traditional traders to step out of the box to survive, and 3) the learning community among
the low educated traders has existed due to long exposure of uncertain covid-19 pandemics.
Therefore, it is concluded that the pandemics bring positive impacts on the traditional traders to
disrupt themselves and shift to productive new trading ways.

ABSTRACT
COVID-19 posed a global threat affecting various sectors in the society including education. Many
schools shifted from face-to-face classes to distance learning to permit educational instruction despite the
pandemic. This qualitative case study was used to identify the challenges and coping mechanisms of
teachers, students and parents of Magtuod National High School towards Modular Distance Learning
(MDL), and suggest ways to further improve the implementation of new normal education. Fifteen (15)
participants were chosen through purposive sampling. Multiple data collection was employed where
themes and commonalities were extracted based on the responses from in-depth individual interview and
focus group discussion. The main challenges that emerged were teachers struggling with lack of
communication, delayed distribution and retrieval, and validation of student’s actual performance;
student’s poor study habits, poor time management, weak to no internet connection, defective modules;
and parents’ lack of knowledge, financial constraint and conflicting schedules. Furthermore, coping
mechanisms were applied such as scheduling module production, monitoring, providing feedback and
learning interventions; students using other learning resources, seeking guidance/assistance and setting
priorities; and parents collaborating with the teachers and providing parental support to the learners. The
main outcome of the research serves as a catalyst for teachers and school administrators to review and
modify module content, re-organize methods of module production and delivery, and strengthen
collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Thereby, it guarantees that the school will be able
to meet the learner’s needs by offering additional academic resources and providing timely and
constructive feedback regardless of the pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The CoViD-19 pandemic hit the Philippines unlike any other ASEAN country. Currently, there are 1.8
million confirmed cases, 30,000 deaths and vaccination rates still lag behind other countries. The
government has placed the country in hard lockdowns since April 2020, affecting low-income working
Filipinos. Many are now unemployed without resources to support families for daily living expenses.
A law was enacted to grant the president additional authority to combat the pandemic and strengthen
the pandemic response of the government. Indigent families were provided cash aids but these efforts
were deemed inadequate to help tide starving families during the long lockdowns. This became a call
to action for the more empathetic Filipinos to aid those left most vulnerable by the pandemic. Most
notable of which is Ana Patricia Non who single handedly created a revolution of volunteerism. She
initiated the ‘Maguinhawa community pantry’ to help the underprivileged. This research aimed to
describe the experiences of the community pantry organizers who joined the movement. This is a
phenomenological inquiry to identify motivation, challenges, and thoughts on the sustainability of this
movement in the Philippines. Focus group and survey forms were used to collect data. The participants
main motivation was altruism and challenges identified were security and being tagged as
communists. While some participants believe that the community pantry movement is here to stay,
most believe that one day they will no longer exist and this just means the government and society has
done its job in eradicating hunger and most social inequalities.

ABSTRACT
Our team researched on the topic – The Rise of Digital revolution (SDG9-
TECHNOLOGY/STEM). Digital revolution refers to the shift from analog electronic and
mechanical devices to digital technology (Digital Revolution, 2017). Our team conducted a survey
on digital revolution in which people of different age groups were asked about their preferences on
using digital technology under various circumstances. Interviews of people from different
economic backgrounds were also conducted. The main purpose of this research is to know the
reasons for the rise in the use of digital technology in the COVID era. Since the onset of the
pandemic, almost everyone has shifted to the digital mode, thus WFH was promoted. Through our
survey we found out that about 71.4% of people know about the digital revolution and many
people prefer online payment over offline payment. The use of social media apps has also
increased accounting to about 91.9%. People have started purchasing and selling necessities like
groceries, medicines, etc. digitally. Moreover, we found out that sales of digital items have also
increased during the pandemic. Recently, the Government of India has started a new contactless
digital payment method known as 'e-RUPI'. In this method, a QR Code is provided to the consumer
by NPCI (e-RUPI - Digital Payment Solution, 2021) which can be redeemed only for specific
purposes. Thereby, from our research we observed that digitalization has come to the rescue of the
masses in these circumstances, hence more people have shifted to digital mode for their
convenience during the pandemic.

ABSTRACT
In this unprecedented pandemic, where the unprivileged sections are still benefited by various
policies offered by the Government and the rich businessmen are secured by savings, the middle-
class seems to struggle for better livelihood. The current research analytically explored The
Economic Impact of COVID-19 on the Middle-Class in this pandemic, where the world experienced
not only fear witnessing the loss of lives but also an enormous downfall on the economy of
individuals. Our survey emphasised on the influence of COVID widespread on the financial
conditions of families. We conducted several interviews to analyse how the people became
vulnerable to the economic crisis and how it affected the financial status of different age groups.
Through our online surveys, we found out that the people not only faced unemployment and reduced
salaries but also an uprise in expenditures. As per our analysis, income of 56.2% families has been
strained, out of which the salaried employees have faced pay cut the most. There have been
additional expenses in buying of gadgets as everything is executed online. Meanwhile, 76% of
people have expressed a striking increase in their expenditure. Furthermore, 88% of people had to
come across a rise in medical expenses. The people feel that not much has been done for the middle
class and they should be provided with certain funds as well as more employment should be
generated. (SOOD, 2021) Another solution could be to encourage small-scale manufacturing as it
would help in increasing the GDP too. In a nutshell, we have observed that the people have not been
able to maintain their standard of living during the pandemic.

Research was conducted on the topic – “Healthcare Innovations and Mental Health Anxiety SCHOOL, MEERA BAGH
Management During the Pandemic (SDG3 HEALTHCARE).” Mental Health is a state of well-being in (TEAM 3)
which the individual realizes his/her own abilities, copes with the normal stresses of life, works
productively and fruitfully and can contribute to the community. (Mental health: strengthening our Teacher Advisor : 81
response, 2018). Anxiety disorders form a category of mental health diagnoses that lead to Anita Vohra
nervousness, fear and apprehension. (Felman, 2020). This topic was chosen because it’s a social taboo.
The pandemic has changed the dynamics of healthcare completely. Innovations have been in plenty. A
survey was conducted to become more acquainted with these. Teleconsultation on video call has
become an easy and time saving way. The pandemic has indeed brought in new methodology in health
care practices. Individuals going through mental health problems do not share their experiences
dreading what others will think of them. Various surveys were circulated among different age groups
to know about their psychological well-being. It has given people the courage to speak about their
mental issues. For additional comprehension, psychiatrists were consulted, and the clinical workforce
was addressed. We conducted research on different people to understand the impact of COVID-19 on
youngsters’ and grown-ups' psychological wellbeing. A comparative analysis of the same was done.
After close observation of the survey, light was shed on the fact that most youngsters are vulnerable to
depression in view of pressure at school while virtually every grown-up is confronting financial strain,
anxiety, and changes in sleep pattern.

ABSTRACT
The uncontrolled proliferation of the novel coronavirus led to a chain of events which
were unforeseen. Uncertain prognosis, looming severe shortages of resources for testing
and treatment, unprecedented curbs on social interaction, imposition of unfamiliar public
health measures, large and growing financial losses, bereavement, isolation and
conflicting messages from authorities are among the major stressors that undoubtedly
contribute to widespread emotional distress and increased risk for mental illness
associated with Covid-19. This study contributes to the existing literature to explore the
health care innovations and mental health anxiety management during the pandemic.
Efforts have been made to understand how the anxiety levels have risen during the
pandemic and the quality of innovations made in the area of health care have contributed
to its management.

ABSTRACT
The study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the existing climate crisis.Climate change
affects every country and person around the globe resulting in loss of biodiversity and increased natural
hazards. The objective of the research is to find the root cause of climate change and ways to take urgent
action to address both the pandemic and the climate emergency for ensuring a more sustainable and
prosperous future for all. There is a dip in greenhouse gas emissions and subsequent improvement in air
quality due to lockdowns and travel bans imposed worldwide. CO2 emissions did fall as the countries went
into lockdowns, yet the decrease in rate was not enough to clear us of this gas. The year 2020 is the warmest
year on record implying that the visible, positive effects of COVID-19 pandemic on climate are, but
temporary. COVID-19 has vastly increased our use of plastic: gloves, masks, PPE kits, and disposable
shopping bags making it necessary to take effective steps in order to bring significant progress in
environmental development. The research includes surveying people to understand the public perception
about climate change and raise awareness about the critical importance of their role for green recovery post
COVID-19.Green transitions and a green economy can help achieve the goals of climate action. However,
more research is required to assess the lessons learnt from the pandemic for a better tomorrow.

ABSTRACT
The World Health Organization had formally declared the novel Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)
outbreak, a pandemic on 11 March 2020 with the publication of public health guidelines to guide the
world through the pandemic. The aim for this study was to get a better outlook of the changes that
COVID brought into people's social life. The members of the study belong to indigenous Indian
families who aim to construct a society which comes as close to the euphoric beliefs of the fraternity.
The research was conducted through indirect communication with a heterogeneous mix of
respondents. All around the world, COVID has led to restlessness, irritation and sometimes despair
when trying to find medical help. COVID-19 health crisis has led to increased violence against doctors
and healthcare workers and as a consequence of this, people have shown their frustration by verbally
abusing and threatening to physically assault doctors and other healthcare workers. In addition,
hospitals have been overwhelmed and short-staffed as the corona virus has reached new peaks in many
areas of the country, straining resources and stretching the workforce thin. The findings highlight the
common challenges faced by healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 outbreak. As there are
certain responsibilities of doctors and other healthcare workers, similarly, responsibilities also have to
be taken up by the patients and media, their relatives, political parties, law maintaining machinery, and
government to see that health care improves and violence against doctors is strongly dealt with.

ABSTRACT
Due to the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the number of COVID-19 patients has been
increasing worldwide. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services, COVID-19 patients’ severity can be categorized into 3 stages: mild, moderate,
and severe. Hospitals are now encountering bed shortages and medical personnels
cannot take care of patients efficiently. As a result, mild-stage patients are urged to do
home isolation to preserve beds for moderate and severe patients. The purpose of this
study is to make a device that can analyze COVID-19 patients' severity in field hospitals
instead of using medical personnel. We designed an appliance for measuring body
temperature, blood oxygen--less than 95-percent in moderate and severe groups. It also
inquires about symptoms like dry cough as a mild stage indication, deep cough for the
moderate one, and chest discomfort for the severe one. The appliance is used by patient
samples whose severity was clinically checked so the appliance’s accuracy can be
tested. The outcomes we expected include: patients who are critically ill are given
assistance promptly and the risk of medical personnel getting infected by patients is
reduced.

ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has impacted 1.2 billion children in 186 countries across the world
by keeping them away from their peers, cutting down physical activities, and making them miss key
aspects of their growing up, and Vietnamese students are not an exception. Beyond getting sick, many
adolescents' social, emotional and mental well-being has been impacted by the pandemic. Lockdown and
virtual life might create new norms in both positive and negative ways. A common trauma of social-
distancing has been witnessed. This study aims to explore the psychological impacts of COVID-19 on
children and adolescents’ social, emotional, and mental challenges and ensure their well- being and
coping methods. This study is also an action of the Vietnamese youth to raise awareness, prevent
misinformation and promote community spirit and support. The methodology used in this research
includes data collection, interview, diary and survey. After collecting, analyzing data, we realized that
Vietnamese school students’ mental and physical health is being affected . Moreover, the pandemic has
raised the unemployment rate, which leads to instability in family income, and decrease in the quality of
their life. Although the negative psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is readily apparent,
some Vietnamese students are doing surprisingly well. From a survey of 775 student participants, we have
found that personality may play in protecting students' well-being during the pandemic. It appears that
young people may be increasing their exercise routine during COVID-19, and those who do so report
being happier. The lockdown is also an opportunity for students to get connected to their family members,
learn new things and overcome hardship. As regulators and educators, different sustainable solutions have
been recommended to cope with COVID-19 and prepare for a new norm.

ABSTRACT
Our current century has witnessed a huge industrial revolution: the digital revolution. And in the
battle against the Covid-19 pandemic, digital technology has proven its great contributions in
every aspect of our lives. In this presentation, our team is mainly focusing on the rise of digital
revolution in education. The presentation contains 3 main parts. The first part outlines the current
status of digital technology in Vietnam. The second part moves on analysis of the rise of digital
revolution in Vietnam’s education throughout the epidemic. Digitization has stepped in to bridge
the gaps left by mandatory lockdowns and social distancing measures, ensuring students’ learning
not to be interrupted when they are unable to attend school. Our team conducted a survey to
students, teachers and parents of our school on how Covid 19 accelerates the digitalization in
Vietnam, how the Government builds infrastructure for the digital transformation of education
during the pandemic as achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 9. In the third part, we
will illustrate the digital shift in education with statistics and evidence through the results of our
survey conducted; hear the voice of our surveyed stakeholders about their own expectation/ wish
in applying digital in study and exams during Covid pandemic. To conclude this presentation,
some recommendations on digital adoption to outlast the pandemic are shared, as we all know
that there will be no “return to normal” at any time soon.

PRIMARY-MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL The technology revolution occurred between the late 1950s and the 1970s and has greatly influenced
almost every aspect of 21st-century life, such as transportation, education, services, productivity, and
(TEAM 1) healthcare. It is booming now, especially in the medical field when Covid-19 has arisen. These
technologies seem to have significant potential in growing and developing; however, they have
Teacher Advisor : several challenges before being actualized. In this paper, the authors studied the challenges in
applying technology to collect and store hospital customers’ information in Bien Hoa (Viet Nam).
88 Nguyen Thi Gam Three problems are raised in the research, including the current status of gathering data among
patients during the covid-19 pandemic, the challenges patients and doctors face when accessing
health, and the importance of data management of patients during the covid-19 pandemic. The three
theories employed in the study are Actor-network theory, Mediatization theory, and Theory of
Network Power. The authors used a mixed method approach by utilizing surveys and interviews to
collect the data to 35 locals. Results showed that a large number of COVID-19 patients overload
almost all hospitals in Bien Hoa. It can be concluded that there are difficulties in patients’ procedures
to hospitals, and collecting patients’ data in Bien Hoa City during this pandemic is relatively slow,
either on paper or online. Therefore, the researchers recommended applying big data technology to
collect and store healthcare information by developing an application that can store, manage patient
data, and share those between Bien Hoa hospitals.

ABSTRACT IGC SCHOOL -THAI BINH DUONG
Local markets in Asian countries, especially in Vietnam, play a vital role in the country’s economy PRIMARY-MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL
as a profitable sidewalk economy. It serves as an easily accessible source of foods and products that
stimulate a sense of community. However, while negative economic influences are found in (TEAM 2)
different aspects of the global economy, the traditional market is vulnerable, especially during the
covid-19 pandemic. In Vietnam, several problems have been stated and must be tackled by both Teacher Advisor : 89
government and related organizations. The main objective of the research is to analyze the Huynh Kim Xuan
challenges faced by the local market and strategies in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The
study utilized a qualitative approach to explicitly describe the stages of situations and problems
during the COVID-19 pandemic among vendors in the local markets of Bien Hoa City, Vietnam.
Interviews were conducted with ten vendors, and the results were then analyzed through coding and
thematization. The study revealed the current difficult situation and concerns of the vendors.
Thereby, while most owners have to stop their business activities and face bankruptcy, the others
are keeping their business mainly for charity but not for profitable purposes. The researchers
concluded that the consequences of Covid-19 on communities that rely on local markets are a
severe source of concern where individuals have to change their routines and cut back on their
spending. To address the issues, the researchers proposed a mobile application. The application was
intended to mitigate the crisis’s repercussions and provide practical, supportive help for everyone.

IGC SCHOOL- THAI BINH DUONG ABSTRACT

PRIMARY-MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL Mental health is fundamental to the well-being and productive functioning of individuals. It is the
ability to think, learn, and understand one's feelings and the reactions of others. Domestic psychology
(TEAM 3)
is still a new field for Vietnamese. Because of that, stigma, human resource shortages, fragmented

service delivery models, and lack of research capacity to implement and change policies contribute to

the current mental health treatment gap. Mental health is essential because coronavirus disease (covid-

19) can affect children, young people, and the elderly directly and indirectly. Loss, isolation, loss of

income, and fear are causing mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones. The study's main

objective is to evaluate the workers' status and the mental health problems they're experiencing, and

coping strategies. The research method is a descriptive approach through purposive sampling focusing

on workers and used a survey to Gas Tan Quyen Company workers and was analyzed. The study's

findings revealed that the Covid-19 pandemic negatively affected the economy, creating changes in

workers' lives, leading to problems with their mental health. The extension of Directive 16 has helped

workers spend more time with their families. Still, at the same time, it has also put tremendous

pressure on finances, social security, and increased fear of the pandemic. The researchers concluded

that the status in Vietnam is faced with challenges in dealing with mental health, especially stress. As

a recommendation, the researchers provided a prototype of an online application in addressing mental

ABSTRACT
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic period, the education system and its mindset
have totally changed. This change in the education paradigm brought about some problems in
learning adventure for some of the students even though it affected some students in a good
manner. However, it is certain and obvious for everyone that we all struggled while trying to
keep up with the changes in the educational paradigm. Because the online education model was
so different from what we have been doing in face-to-face education for many years. That is
why it was quite challenging to adapt for most of us. And as high school students, who have
been the frontliners in this period, we have experienced online education’s both advantages and
disadvantages deeply. We also had the chance to make research, observations, interviews with
students and join online conferences. According to our own experiences and all our studies, we
have understood that online education may include some problems with technology, health,
friendship, and some financial issues. On the other hand, it may affect many of us positively
about timing, learning, comfort, and others. In conclusion, we would like to point out more
about education during the Covid-19 Pandemic period, changing of the education paradigm,
positive and negative consequences of the new education system, and more related topics via
sharing our own experiences, observations, research and more from the last two years in this
study.

depression, worry, and frustration. Along with the difficulties brought by the pandemic,
many innovations were made in the field of health. For this project, we searched for
healthcare innovations that could help to overcome anxiety during the pandemic. Also, we
have divided people into age groups and examined each age range separately: Children and
adolescents, adults and young adults, elders. Moreover, we went deeper and analyzed the
topic from all angles as reasons, results, and solutions. To see the differences, we compared
the level of anxiety before and after the pandemic. With this research, we aim to solve the
problems linked to anxiety through healthcare innovations. During this project, we used a
diverse range of methods such as interviews, questionnaires, and meta-analysis. Findings
from this study comprise contributions of healthcare innovations regarding coping with

ABSTRACT
Climate crises do happen because of global warming. The small temperature changes
correspond to huge changes in the environment. Global temperature has increased by 2.1
degrees since 1880. In some regions, it causes fusion and for that reason, sea levels have
increased 3.4 millimeters per year and it is still increasing. Although the effects can not be
observed in the short run, it destroys our environment in the long term. Hopefully, this bad
situation will be treated by the pandemic temporarily. As we all know, COVID-19 started in
the last months of 2019, in China/Wuhan. The government took some precautions to decrease
the speed of the virus such as the reduction of the working time in factories and depending on
the decline in the use of vehicles, the decrease in exhaust gas consumption. After all of these
events, a chart is shared about China. The result was unbelievable because it showed us that
the difference was huge. According to the chart, the usage of CO2 has been almost halved.
Although the pandemic has some positive effects on CO2 emission, it is clear that the situation
is temporary. The reason why we are doing this study, we are trying to investigate the effects
of coronavirus on the environment and thinking how to find better solutions for a lively future.
To make this research better, we used some articles and got some information from official
websites.
