about me

I am recent graduate of Seminole State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Interior Design, I look forward to getting into the field and receiving more
hands on experience. I have several examples of my work where you will see
work from my role at Anne Rue Interiors as a Junior Designer and projects
from my time in school. I am focused on breaking into commercial design. My
strengths are with digital rendering and drafting, specifically with AutoCAD
and Revit which are a large part of my portfolio and what I hope to be doing
in my future job position. Thank you for your time in looking through my

portfolio and I look forward to hearing from you!

K HOVNANIAN CORPORATE
OFFICE PROJECT

SQ FT - ~7,500

This project is located in Maitland, Florida. It is the new
corporate office location for K. Hovnanian Homes. The
second floor suite was remodeled from the previous
tenant and we worked with Hanson Construction as
well as Campbell + Van Dusen Architects on this project.
I assisted Anne with the design elements of the space
such as the wall/trim details, tile & flooring selections
and specifications, and custom architectural details
which you can see further details off in the following
pages.

The entrance lobby was a small seating area and we
implemented a wall mural to really emphasis the
concept of industrial design throughout the space. The
mural was custom made with a local mural company
and then trimmed out and painted to create a
seamless concept. As shown on the bottom left – you
can see my CAD drawing that was used to produce
this element of the design.

Finished custom table

View of space walking in Custom Desks

The client wanted an office space that allowed for
private spaces as well as an open area to collaborate
and work on plans/projects when necessary. The
custom built in desks were fabricated on site and
designed in collaboration with the contractor as well as
the fabricator. The drawings shown below are what I
had created and submitted to the contractor and
ultimately when communicating during a site visit we
altered the design slightly to be able to support the
weight of the solid surface top.. The picture above
shows the overall design of the waterfall desk at
completion.

Custom ceiling components

These custom ceiling systems were a way to add
texture and .a linear element to the space that would
match the wood incorporated in the walls and
throughout. The concept was inspired by the image
above to replicate an industrial wood pallet. The varying
widths were implemented to allow for visual interest
and the wood was suspended from the ceiling. The
installation was coordinated between us and the
contractor to ensure the safest and most cost
effective method was used to hang them. The finished
product is shown on the image at the top left of the
previous page.

To allow more natural
light to come into the
space the space utilizes
large glass windows. In
order to keep some
privacy, we incorporated
frosted film that
incorporated the clients

Great room &
Leasing Office

The fireplace in the great room is a
focal point for the space and was a
collaboration in design. I worked on
this design with Anne and we felt
the color and trim of the fireplace
needed to be subtle and let the
stone stand out. I worked closely
with the contractor on this project
in general and it was a great way to
make sure that we were getting
the exact design we wanted. I was
also given the opportunity to work
with vendors one on one, especially
for the stone, and create
relationships with them.

concierge

The concierge area was previously a part of the room behind it prior to the renovation and

became its own space. The wall design was a concept to have a large scale sign in the middle
with LED lighting that could be tucked back into the wall niche to illuminate it. This photo is of the

space prior to the final installation of the sign. The concept of the concierge area is to allow
guests or potential residents the opportunity to touch down and work or wait for a staff member
to greet them. The desk is a high-low concept to allow for standing or sitting and was custom

designed for this space. The drawings below show the details and design for this concept.

Game room bookshelves

There were two closets in this space previously which
can be seen on the very left of the plan below. These
bookshelves were modified during construction based
on the construction of the interior of the wall. The
total quantity of shelves was reduced to ensure the
maximum space for storage was allotted.

Applied wall panels with built-in floating bar – final installation

Game room WALL PANELS

Since this was a game room for the tenants
and the client wanted the space to be fun
and unique from a typical space in the
clubhouse, we incorporated a lot of color and
wood elements. The back wall of the space
had two doors to access storage and the
original concept was to create wall panels
that would essentially hide those doors.
Unfortunately once the exit door was
introduced on the right wall (as seen in the
top left photo) the wall space wouldn’t allow
for the depth of the specified wall panels to
happen all the way across the wall. So,
therefore with help from the contractor, we
were able to come up with the solution shown
to the right which kept the wall panels but still
added some visual interest. The floating bar
was installed on top and allowed for more
seating in the space.

Briar team office renovation

The Briar Team office in Sanford, Florida, is a renovation project we
specified and designed. The client wanted a design that encompassed
the company motto – ‘Leaders by Performance’ and that was masculine,
modern and rustic. I worked on the project with Anne and helped design
the lobby elements, the stairwell and bathroom concepts. The lobby was
the most renovation that was taking place, as they were redesigning the
ceiling and the front desk., as well as removing a bookcase that was to
the left when looking at the plan. The elevation below is the concept I
designed for their lobby.

CEILING/STAIR
DETAILS

To incorporate that rustic,
modern design style the
client wanted, we
incorporated a lot of wood
throughout in a clean, linear
way. The ceiling for the lobby
had slatted wood suspended
in the tray and the stair wall
on the landing had the same
linear detail to tie them
together. This look was
conceived with the help of

MEN’S ROOM FLOOR PLAN Men & women’s restroom design

The restrooms we really wanted to incorporate some fun elements. The tile concept as

shown in the image above is a vertical installation with a metal Schluter in between to to
add a visual element. The tile concept is a 12x24 concrete tile with stainless steel or

brushed Schluter in between. The partitions are stainless steel so it would tie the whole
design together. The design would be the same for both the men’s and women’s
restrooms. .

PRIVATE RESIDENCE – NEW CONSTRUCTION BUILD

Sq ft - ~4,000

This project is a new construction build in Lake Mary, Florida., a 4,000 sq. ft., one story home. The overall design style of this
space is modern farmhouse and the client preferred a more neutral, clean look. The flooring plan above shows the layout of
the space as well as the flooring patterns and locations of each type. The lighting plan on the following page is our revision
of the lighting plan that was given from the architect. In collaboration with the builder and the client, we changed a few
fixture locations and quantities to satisfy the client. This project is still under construction, having just broke ground in
January of 2019. I have been involved in the ff&e selections as well as specifications and changes made to the plans.

Fireplace details

The fireplace was a very important
detail to the client and they wanted
a fireplace that had a lot of detail
but was still functional and
aesthetically pleasing in the space.
The mantle trim details are
traditional and correlate with the
style of the cabinetry which is in the
kitchen, opposite of the fireplace.
The brick surround is white washed
and a subtle texture addition to the
space. This design was altered a few
times and the final approved
concept was a collaboration of all
three previous designs. .

master bath tile

The master bathroom was a space that the client really
wanted to make special. The flooring and wall tile is a porcelain
calacata, with a mosaic accent and matching tile for the
shower floor. I assisted Anne with tile selections and created
specifications and drawings for the location of sprays and
handles based on the client’s needs.

the same except mirrored.
The client wanted a neutral,
sophisticated palette that
their children could grow into
and that would be suitable
for guests that would be in

together on the installation
methods and to make sure
that the tiles were suitable for

Bathroom 3 was the clients
daughter’s bath and they wanted to
make sure that she had a different
design. The client chose to have a tub
so we had to build out the walls
surrounding it. The wall and accent
tile for the niche are the same as the
other two secondary bathrooms to
make sure that they are cohesive.

Model merchandising – k Hovnanian homes - winding bay

Sq ft - ~3,400

This was my first individual project for Anne Rue Interiors, it’s a 2 story townhouse. I was given the demographics and the floorplan and
from there had to design the model and create a detail set for the contractor on site. This particular model is geared more towards the
first time homebuyer and a younger demographic. The overall style was industrial and modern. We tried to make sure no two models
were alike so the color palette was a change in direction with the green and tan accents. I worked with the K Hovnanian design studio
to select fixtures and finishes and then selected all furniture and window treatments for the space. The following pages highlight the
most important and designed elements of the space and show an overview of the total design concept. This model is not yet under
construction and is estimated to complete around September of 2019. All designs and concepts were presented and approved by K
Hovnanian Homes.

Model merchandising – detail set - k. Hovnanian homesModel merchandising

The detail set is the overall design details for the entire model, from layout of lighting, the furniture, any architecturaldetail set
details and paint & wallcovering plans. Once a model is designed and approved, I completed the detail set to send to
the builders. Many of these detail sets are large and detailed to make sure that everyone is on the same page. It is
also beneficial for walk throughs so that the designer and the builder can compare and make sure the final design is
what was intended. .I, along with one other designer, was the go to CAD designer for these detail sets and it what I
think has greatly improved my CAD skills and construction knowledge. The cover sheet shown below is a standard
template for the detail sets and outlines what it inside. The following pages I have shown are the most detailed
pages and show an overview of what was expected for each detail set that went out.

The Johnson residence

The goal of this project was to
create a design plan for a 2 story
contemporary loft that was to be
built on the client’s undeveloped
family land. The design included
overall blueprint, dimensions, window
placement and access points. The
home needed to be one or two
bedrooms, ADA accessible and be
able to adjust to the client’s needs

as they age.
