It is a quick attention. It begins
with attention and mark time.
While performing quick march, we
suppose the left leg as 1 and the right
leg as 2. Quick march is performed
with the counting 1, 2.....1, 1, 2.....,
1,2....... while performing quick

Halt is the act of stopping the
movement. This activity is performed in a group. This command is given while
stepping on the left foot. Immediately after getting command, we should check
from the right and take two steps
before halt. The basic rules of 'halt'
are as follows;

Before You Begin
The simple games which are played in our locality are called local
games. We play these games in one group or many groups. It is
fun to play local games. Children enjoy a lot while playing local
games. So these games are also called funny local games. Chor
and Rumal, Ram and Ravan, Rukhma Lokharke, Thyak Lagaune
Khel, etc. are some examples of funny local games. In this unit, we
will study some funny local games like Chor and Rumal, Thyak

Local Games
1. Chor and Rumal
This game is played in a group. To play this game, students sit on the ground
in a circle. One of the students is selected as a 'Chor' and s/he runs around the
students and leaves Rumal (handkerchief) behind one of the friends. Then
the friend takes Rumal and runs around the students. In this way, "Chor and
Rumal" game is played.

The game which is played in a group by kicking, trapping and passing a ball
is called three touch pass game. Trapping, controlling and passing the ball by
kicking or rolling are the rules of three touch pass game.

This game is played within a circle in the playground following the rules
of three touch pass game. In this game, the ball is passed clock-wise by the

4. Dribbling relay
Dribbling is the act of moving a ball forward by kicking it slightly. In this

safely is called tumbling work. Gymnastics is the physical exercise
that develops and shows the body's strength and ability to move
and bend easily.
