Heritage

The HPL site has had many owners dating back to the 1920s,
throughout this time product development and engineering
innovation has constantly been undertaken.

A forward-looking attitude and a culture of Innovation has been
embedded into the walls of the buildings.

During the 1950s we were home to the Triumph Le Mans racing
team.

From the 1960-1980s we were a division of Triumph Prototyping
group.

During the 1980s we were MGA developments where many iconic
cars were manufactured such as the Maclaren F1 concept car and
the Bentley Java concept car.

During the 1990s we were Lotus prototype cars, it was at this point
the M250 was manufactured here.

From 2000 until the present day the site has been under the
Ownership of HPL Prototypes.
