CAREER FLY HIGH 2018

Fly High programme has been conducted since 2016 which the
event specifically targeted IIUM graduating students from all
courses.  The programme becomes a platform for students to
prepare themselves before hunting for their ideal career in
competitive job market. Generally, future graduates tend to have
minimum ideas about industries, trend of job market and their
preferred career.  Various articles and reports have highlighted
complaints among employers towards fresh graduates who seem to
have minimum attributes, poor competency and ignorance towards
ethics in attending job interview.

IIUM MEGA INTERVIEW DAYS 2018

A new programme initiated by CCSC to support future employment
of IIUM students.  Students had the opportunities to meet HR and
gain experience on interview procedures/processes when dealing
with interviewers during the interview session.
Employers/companies were invited to campus to interview
graduating students or fresh graduates for full time job
opportunities.

(CARES) 2018

Counseling and Career Awareness Campaign (CARES) is
consistently organized to increase the awareness on the
existence of the Centre and the services provided for IIUM
Community. Among the activities conducted were
personality and career tests, resume checking and some fun
activities which related to counseling and career matters.

CAREER CENTRE OF THE YEAR 2018 FOR
PUBLIC UNIVERSITY CATEGORY

Counseling and Career Service Centre, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) was
announced as the winner of 'Career Center of the Year 2018' for public university category at a
glorious event organized by GTI Media. The award was given by Gradmalaysia on November 8,
2018 at Four Season Hotel Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with Malaysia's 100 Awards (M100).
The award was presented by Honorable Prof. Dr. Arham Abdullah, the Director of Industry
Relations Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia. 
The event has been organized since 2008 where employers from various industries will be
acknowledged as the students’ choices based on certain criteria. GTI Media's efforts in
organizing this event is not only to recognize contribution of employers and university’s career
centres, but also to provide an effective platform to build fruitful academia industrial
collaboration. The university's career centre for both public and private university categories
were judged by industry experts where all universities participated were required to undergo
comprehensive assessments which covered its planning, modules, implementation and impact
of conducted programs.
Madam Noraini Ahmad as the Director of CCSC expressed her gratitude and feeling proud on
the achievement as she mentioned that it is the effort of all staff of CCSC for their hard work
and team spirit in winning the award.  This great victory also would be a starting point for CCSC
to move forward to uplift IIUM for more tremendous achievements in 2019.
