TRIM LINE TRIM LINE Reflection Photo by Natalia Trapasso TRIM LINE TRIM LINE

is defined as an act of reflecting, giving back, or showing an image.

From freshman year to senior year, you find a way keep to track of every moment. Whether it be
by a photograph, a memory, or a journal entry, you document all the moments worth remembering
and reminiscing about in your future. Throughout your life, you will go through struggles and
experience stress, but you must remind yourself that you can come out stronger in the end and be
prepared for the days that follow.

High school is designed for you to make mistakes so when thinking about the future you can ask
yourself and reflect: How has this changed me? How has this shaped me into who I am?

You learn from past choices and you get to decide how it will reflect your future.
The Oswego High School Paradox staff of fifty-seven students worked from September to May to
compose a book of memories for you to reflect on your high school experiences. So, live in the
moment and allow yourself to make memories you will want to reflect on later in life.

I want to grow, to learn from my mistakes, to learn to manage by myself, and to think

mind and be able to see every situation with more points of view. Nothing is wrong;
it's just different.

Life, people, and the city are totally different than mine, but there are many things I
love about Oswego. One of my favorite things is school and school spirit. In Italy, we
don't have a lot of school spirit. The school system is different, students stay in the class
room and the professors switch which classes they go to. In my school we don't have
a cafeteria, we eat at home after school. I miss my family and my friends, but I chose
to leave and I'm glad I did because despite all the difficulties I have, it's definitely
worth it!"

spent endless hours in the theatre to
prepare for their production of Play On!.

As described by Gracie Hoffman,
actress, "The play is

10 about a community

theater who is trying to
put on an original play
called Murder Most Foul
but the playwright keeps
changing the script. All of
the chaos created by the
playwright and hostility between cast members
reaches its peak on opening night with a play within
a play."

Hoffman has been participating in theatre since
elementary school. She enjoyed how Mr. Heater wrote
his own musicals for elementary performances.

"My favorite part of the performance was how
accurate the play felt to us. We had so many ups and
downs as a cast and so many obstacles thrown at us,
but we still managed to overcome it and had a really
fun time together," Hoffman said.

In Oswego we have four dance studios.
in addition, there are other studios nearby.
Dance is not an in school activity but many
students who attend OHS enjoy dancing.
Most of these students dedicate years of
their life to dance, spending endless hours
