I am immensely pleased to hand out this
newsletter of Indira Nagar campus. The campus
has always been keen on working for every child
and in a changed social scenario the responsibility
has increased even more.
The teachers and staff are continually making
efforts to improve the standard of teaching and
learning processes. New pedagogies are being
adopted to help the students better. More and
more students are involving themselves in
different activities conducted in classes and as a
result there is a positive feeling all around which
helps make the school a happy place. Half-yearly
exams have shown us the way forward and with
new vigour and energy, we are determined to forge
our way ahead.
I am thankful to the Almighty for
having given us this opportunity to serve the
children, our immensely motivating Respected
Founders to have shown their trust in our ability,
Respected MD and Respected CEO-for their
constant support and guidance and for being
approachable and Respected Superior Principal to
show us the way ahead.

Inter Campus 9th Literary Fest organised by the
Quality Assurance and Innovation Department
Tanishq Mishra, Ayush Gupta, Varun Yadav and
Shirish Kumar under the guidance of their teacher
Miss Anshika Kumari, won the second prize in the
Talespin Competition for class VII.
Amrit Jha and Shubh Kashyap under the guidance of
their teacher Mrs Pooja Mehrotra won the first prize
in the Clip and Flip (debate competition) for class VI.
Sanvi Singh and Aarav Kunwar under the guidance of
their teachers Mrs. Shadma Kidwai and Mrs. Arpita
Banerjee won the third prize in the Lit Wizards
Contest for class V.
Yashika Verma, Mangalam Srivastava, Pranjal Raj
Singh, Tanay Pant and Yatharth Pandey under the
guidance of Ms. Pinky Keswani got the second special
mention prize in the Dream Merchants Competition
for class VIII.
Ayyan Hashim of class VII B has won a Silver medal
and a certificate of participation for outstanding
performance in the Singapore Math Competition
which was based on testing Critical Thinking skills of
the students.
Vedanshi Srivastava of class Nursery B has
been selected for world records for
Grandmasters title.
Her record "Performing 350 hula hoops
spins in 2 minutes at the age of 4 years and
10 months" has been approved for thesis
writing for the GrandMasters Title in world
record and also selected in the India book of
records.

A moment to rejoice as the students of class
Nursery of City Montessori School, Indira
Nagar Campus bagged a Gold Medal in the
Event Symphony in '14th KIDS BONANZA' Inter
School Competition, held on 8th September,
organised by Station Road Campus at the
Kanpur Road Branch where 48 schools
participated.
Muazzam Khan from class IB made us proud by
winning the Third prize in the competition
Createk.
Ojasvi Mishra of class KG won the Second
consolation prize in the competition, Lead the
Way.
Our team also won the second consolation prize
in the group elocution competition, Rib Tickler.

Rida Sheikh of class VIIB has got City
Rank 8 in BOB Wonderkid 2022, 12th
National Level Inter School
Competition. She secured State Rank 11
and National Rank 12. She also received
a cash prize of Rs 2000. The prize
distribution ceremony was held in
Jaipuria Institute of Management,
Gomti Nagar.

in BOB wonder kid.
Daksh Tripathi bagged a Gold Medal for
achieving a state rank of 37.
Nishtha Patel of class VII C bagged a Gold
Medal in Brainobrain for demonstrating
exceptional performance in the Multiagency -
Skill Assessment program.

Rayhan Sheikh of class IV D, was honoured
with a certificate of appreciation and a Silver
Medal for becoming a Silver Topper, by
securing state rank 948 out of 2387
participants and National rank 1191 out of
3453 participants, at BOB Wonderkid 2022
(12th National level Inter School Competition )
A team of six students from classes VIII and IX
participated in the 'Jaipuria Fest - Meraki' organised
by Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar Campus and
brought laurels to the school. Nashra Salman from
class VIII and Satya Sai Pandey of class IX
represented the campus in the Debate competition
and the team bagged the first prize. Nashra Salman
has also been adjudged the best speaker. They
cleared the Preliminary round in which 20 teams
participated making it to the final round in which
five teams were selected.
Avi Rajvansh and Rishi Thakre both of class IX
participated in the 'What's the Good Word' and
stood first. There were four rounds in it, first was
a written round of crosswords in the other rounds
students had to guess the Idioms and Phrases
through Dumb Charades, unscramble the Words,
Identify the Proverbs, Identify the Poet and a
round based on Antonyms, Synonyms and
Spellings.
Kaustubh Ram Tripathi of 6C played Piano Synthesizer
and won the first prize, in INSTRUMENTAL
Competition organised by Uttarakhand Mahaparishad
Lucknow, Uttarakhand Mahotsav 2022.
The inter-school dance and music competition, SONATA
(2022-23), was organised by Shri Ramswaroop Memorial
School, Lucknow, in which more than 25 schools
participated. Students from our campus participated in
the JUNIOR categories of Dance competition on 12th Nov,
2022 and got the 2nd position.
UDBHAV, (2022-23) was an Inter-School dance
competition, organised by Shree Ram Global
School, Lucknow, in which 30 schools
participated. Our campus students
participated in the primary category of Dance
competition and got the 3rd prize.

Saatvik Rajput, Satya Sai Pandey, Raniya Farhat
Qureshi and Arjit Raghav from class IX
participated in Ingeniosite, a competition in
which the students were supposed to create an
advertisement of a product, and won the
second prize. The competition was organised
by Shri Ram Global School.
On the occasion of Children's Day, Competitions
were organised at Saraswati Dental College.
Aarishi Singh of class VII won the First Prize
while Shirish won the Consolation Prize for
the Best Smile Competition.

Painting Competition
Arya from classVI won the third prize, Mahi from
class V and Abhishek from classVI won the
CONSOLATION PRIZE
8 Students of our campus learnt Hindustani classical
vocal and appeared for the first and second year exams
organised by Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. All the
students have cleared, with first division and
distinction in both practical and theory.
Taekwondo Championship

Three students of our campus participated
in the 18th District Inter School
Taekwondo Championship 2022 organised
by Hoerner College and have brought
laurels to the School.
Aryan Dev Sharma of class VII C as well as
Abhiram Singh of class IA bagged the Gold
medal whereas Ahaan Abraham Subba of
class IIC has bagged the Silver Medal.
Advik Pandey of class VB participated in the
quiz "Asteroid Defence" and scored
40/50.The quiz was organised by Nebula
Society associated with the Council Of
Science & Technology,U.P.(Department of
Science & Technology,U.P.) for creating
awareness about Asteroids.

BHOOKH MITAO CAMPAIGN
"If you can't feed a hundred people, then just
feed one." This ideology has given birth to
millions of initiatives worldwide. Bhookh
Mitao campaign is an initiative to feed
people in slum areas to fulfil the basic
necessity of food for all. The campaign was
led by Mrs. Vertika Mishra who encouraged
all students to bring a packet of bread,
single-use butter and a few apples. All the
items were collected and given to the
respective owners of the foundation, who
then distributed them to the needy, bringing
a smile on their face and words of
thankfulness on their lips. This program was
conducted on Teachers’ Day as a way in
which the students expressed their
gratitude to their teachers for the important
values they have imparted and the spirit of
global welfare they have ignited in them.
Hindi Diwas
"If you talk to a man in a language he
understands, that goes to his head.
If you talk to him in his mother language
that goes to his heart. "
Primary grade students celebrated Hindi
Diwas with great zeal. Children explained the
importance of Hindi language. They recited
beautiful Hindi poems on the occasion of
Hindi Diwas.
Children also pledged to always respect their
nation's national language. Funny Hindi
tongue twisters were taken up by the
children.
Respected Principal Ma'am and some of the
teachers also participated and tried out some
of the tongue twisters. The atmosphere was
filled with joy and students enjoyed it
thoroughly.
The students of the Junior and Senior section
revisited the goal of Hindi Diwas, which is to
promote the love for Hindi Language and
Literature among one and all. To sum up, the
principal of the campus, respected Mrs.
Ruchi Bhuvan Joshi, reminded the students
about the richness of the language and also
about the importance of having a good
knowledge of the Hindi language. She
emphasised on developing correct knowledge
of the language so that it's importance is not
talked about only one day but every day. She
also talked about the ways one can
implement to minimise the spelling errors.
Teachers' Day
“The influence of teachers extends beyond the
classroom, well into the future.” Students presented
a splendid honouring to their dedicated teachers on
5th September, 2022. It commenced with Guru
Vandana, for students to honour their teachers for
imparting knowledge and wisdom to them.
Teachers have a great impact on the lives of their
children, they teach them the ethical values and
imbibe in them moral values therefore a piece of
poetry was presented before the teachers to express
their gratefulness and gratitude. They expressed
their fondness and tenderness towards their
educators by devising the program, 'I still remember'
which shared an indelible, comical and evoking
memory. Teachers of the campus were honoured
with a terrific title which pleased them and left them
awestruck.In conclusion, the students emphasised on
the role and significance of teachers in one's life.
Picture composition competition (Inter-
House Competition)
The art of communication is the language of
leadership.
Thriving towards the all round development of the
students which also includes development of soft
skills, an inter-house extempore competition for
students of classes 3 to 5, wherein students had to
speak on the picture shared with them on the spot,
was conducted in CMS Indira Nagar campus on
August 23, 2022.
Participants were given 2 minutes to speak their mind
out on the given picture. They presented their views
with great confidence and left no stone unturned to
give in their best and win laurels for their respective
houses. It was mesmerising to see students deliver
their speech, in public, with fervour and poise. The
little orators were silver tongued and could weave
their speech incorporating SDG15(life on land), taken
up by the branch very rigorously in the previous
month.
The competition concluded successfully with great
words of encouragement and appreciation by
respected incharge. The event turned out to be an
excellent opportunity for the kids to showcase their
oration skills. It assisted the students not only in

A very informative and meaningful
programme was conducted to mark the
International Literacy Day celebration in the
Campus. The programme started with the
school prayer followed by the school pledge.
The principal of the school, respected Mrs.
Ruchi Bhuvan Joshi formally welcomed the
delegation which comprised eight principals
from Maldives. This was followed by an
enthralling prayer dance. The student
educators shared their experience. They even
invited their student learners, whom they
helped to learn to read and write.
It was an overwhelming experience for one
and all to see the interest with which the
students are taking up the 'Each One Teach
One' project. The special guests then blessed
the students and also shared how the
students of Maldives work in this regard.
Overall it was a wonderful learning
experience.

Investiture Ceremony
Investiture Ceremony "If your actions inspire
others to dream more, learn more, do more and
become more, you are a leader." The Investiture
Ceremony was held to introduce the newly elected
council members. It was the first time when the
students filed their nominations for various posts,
actively participated in canvassing for themselves
and finally after polling won the seats. On the 2nd
of September, 2022, they proudly walked with full
determination to shoulder the responsibility they
have proved themselves to be suitable for. The
march was followed by the pledge which was led by
the Head Boy, Avi Rajvansh. The principal,
respected Mrs. Ruchi Bhuvan Joshi pinned the
badges to each one and made them familiarise with
the system they are going to incorporate to bring
out the positive change in the school and also in
smooth functioning of the school.
A visit to Umeed

Monthly visits to UMEED, an NGO in Gomti
Nagar is always filled with emotions and
sentiments. On August 29, 2022 under the
precious guidance of our Respected Principal
Ma'am, Ms.Ruchi Bhuwan Joshi, six students
and 2 teachers got the opportunity to visit
UMEED.
We had bags, clothes, eatables, stationary sets
etc. to offer which our students distributed
among those poor kids. Students of CMS,
Indira Nagar have developed a special bond
with these kids.
This visit to UMEED was a fulfilling experience
for all of us which made us learn some valuable
lessons of life.
Eye checkup
"The Eye is the lamp of the body. So if your
eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full
of light." Our school organised an Eye
Examination Campaign in collaboration with
IDR EYE CARE for the well being of all its
students. Dr. Shyamal Anand, M.B.B.S., M.S.
(Ophthalmology) from IDR EYE CARE visited
the campus and performed the eye test of
each and every child. The students were also
provided with a prescription mentioning
their number and also about the health of
their eyes. They were informed about the
safety measures to be followed by the
students for a healthy eyesight. The
campaign was indeed successful as well as
useful for everyone, after all.
Reintroduction of Cheetahs in India
Freedom is never more

Our school organised a session for the
students of the Junior and Senior section
to create awareness on the importance of
the existence of each species in our
ecosystem - Reintroduction of Cheetahs
in India.
Dr.Amita Kanaujia, an associate professor,
from the Zoology Department,
University of Lucknow was invited as
Guest Speaker
She conducted an extremely enriching
session with students informing them
that India is going to be home once again
to the majestic presence of cheetahs, the
world's fastest land animal.
She presented a document explaining the 5
Big Cats and their characteristic features.

conducted by Amita Ma'am with great zeal
and put up their various queries to quench
their curiosity.
MT class on accountability and
citizenship
Students discussed the difference between
reacting and responding and hence its
importance. They therefore felt accountable for
the growth of all as a team work ensuring cent
percent success
Finally a signature slide was maintained to
monitor in future, the accountability they have
promised.
Diwali Celebrations
The students of Grade 5 celebrated the occasion by
participating in a Rangoli Making competition. They used
their drawing skills and used vibrant colours. They
displayed their creativity and bonds of unity by making a
wonderful rangoli together.

The students of Grade 4 celebrated the occasion of Diwali
by participating in a Lantern Making Activity conducted
on 21th October, 2022. Students enjoyed making beautiful
and colourful lanterns.They displayed their creativity and
bonds of unity by making lanterns together.
The students of Class 3 painted and decorated diyas
with colourful stars, mirrors and glitters.They were
completely engrossed and had great fun while the
Activity was conducted in the class.
On the occasion of Diwali, CMS Indira Nagar
Campus Pre Primary wing celebrated the festival
with great zeal.
The story of Diwali was narrated telling the children
about the victory of good over evil.Children enjoyed
singing and tapped their feet to the Diwali
song.They were dressed up as Ram, Sita, Laxman and
Hanuman.
Children were also made aware about the safety
measures to be taken up during the festival .Class
activities such as diya decoration, candle making
and decoration of earthen diyas was done by the
students with great excitement.
