KATA PENGANTAR

Alhamdulillah saya panjatkan puja dan puji syukur kehadirat Allah
swt yang senantiasa melimpahkan segala rahmat, taufik dan hidayah-Nya
sehingga penyusun dapat menyelesaikan modul ini.

Modul ini disusun berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 yang lebih
menempatkan siswa sebagai student centered. Modul ini juga dilengkapi
dengan latihan soal untuk menguji pemahaman siswa terkait materi yang
telah diajarkan untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian dan ketuntasan.

Penyusun menyadari bahwa di dalam pembuatan modul masih
banyak kekurangan, untuk itu penyusun sangat membuka saran dan kritik
yang sifatnya membangun. Mudah-mudahan modul ini memberikan
manfaat bagi semuanya, khususnya bagi siswa- siswi MTs Miftahul Ulum

Wish and Hope.

A. Introduction

Welcome to English For Junior high School Student. Reading is an
important skil in learning English in daily life. Meanwhile, a letter of
congratulations, or congratulations letter, is used in both personal and
business situations. Their primary purpose is to formally congratulate a
person or an organization for an outstanding achievement.

This learning material is based on the core competence and basic
comprtence in the 2013 curriculum for junior high school students:

This chapter aims to help students to:

2. Explain the expression used in wish and hope.
3. familiarize you with all language skills in English, namely
listening, speaking, reading, snd writing.
4. have a higher order thinking by being creative to explain about
wish and hope

1. Pre-activity: building background knowledge about congratulation
and hope.

2. Main Activity: Many activities encourage understanding and
enjoyment whileyou are comprehending the materials about
congratutation and hope.

3. Post-Activity: Questioning, Discussion, Creating, and Presenting.
a. Questioning: Questioning activities encourage you to think
about and respond to the information and ideas about
expression of congrstulstion and hope.
b. Discussion: Discussion is exchanging ideas out loud. The
intent is to freely explore ideas, to learn something new or
gain a different perspective by pooling the information or
insights that more than one person can give.
c. Creating: Making your own text (congratulation and praying
card) is another enjoyable activity.
d. Presenting your works: Presenting your own works is
another enjoyableactivity.

Expressing Hope and wish

Wish is to want something to happen or to be true even though it is unlikely or
impossible
Hope is desire and expectation that something you want will happened
You may use the following phrases to express hope.

prayers to maintain a good relationship.
Expression of Congratulation is an expression of joy in success or good fortune of
another.
Its purpose is to congratulate / to show pleasure for people on their happy
occasion in their lives.
There are some occasion we usually use this expression, such as, in birthday
party, marriage, graduating, or in winning championship.

A. INTRODUCTION
1. Description

This module is designed to provide materials about Label Text. This module
presents the materials to enhance your knowledge about what Label Text is, its
structure and language features, as well as how to express and respond to
prohibitions and commands.

A label is a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material
affixed to a container or product, on which is written or printed information or
symbols about the product or item. Information printed directly on a container
or article can also be considered labeling. Product labels can be made from a
variety of materials. Common materials include: paper or cardboard (often
attached with plastic, twine or metal staples), cloth, metal (often aluminum),
and plastic.

In our daily life, we buy and consume various products such as food, drink,
and medicine. In order to ensure the products we consume are safe and healthy,
we have to check and understand the product’s label.

2. Relevance
Can you easily find the sample of labels in the package of the product you

buy? Can you get the information from the labels you find? Is it useful for
you? Can you analyze the information you get from the products label? If you
have never analyzed the information in the label, so this course will help you

much to deepen your comprehension about label of the products
(food/drink/medicine) as well as to dig your creativity in presenting the result
of analysis of the product label. So, let’s start and check it out!
