BIOCHEMISTRY HOMECOMING SEMINAR
Many biochemists work at prestigious private companies, research institutions, and universities in the US and abroad. Knowing what biochemistry alumni are doing helps current undergraduate and graduate students get feedback to improve their education. Current biochemistry students can also learn about international market needs at the "Biochemistry Homecoming Seminar (BHS)". In this programme, biochemistry alumni are encouraged to discuss what they did and learned on campus. Alumni should also help students find work-based learning opportunities.

Both undergraduate and graduate students benefited from the first BHS on October 11, 2012. The previous seminar improved students' self-esteem, emotional health, intellectual development, and spiritual readiness. It gave them the tools to succeed in school and extracurriculars. It has also given college seniors who are almost done with school the chance to gain experience for a career in biochemistry.
