We started our day off with performances but the one I liked best was the
one from fourth grade. We played games. The performance I was in was Labamba.
Straight after our perfomances we had our lunch. There were food stalls. They
came from Australia, Asia, Arab, Indonesia , and Greece.
Everyone had a job. These people were from sixth grade. I did my job after I
had lunch. My job was to sell International Day Books.
We had displays in the hall. These displays were good but I didn’t get to see
them. The displays came from a lot of countries.
There were also a Trash and Treasure stall where they sold toys. The school
got these things by asking the children to bring them in.
Although I didn’t win anything, International Day was still fun.

A scorpion and a tortoise became such fast friends that they took a vow that they would never
separate. So when it happened that one of them was obliged to leave his native land, the other promised
to go with him. They had traveled only a short distance when they came to a wide river. The scorpion
was now greatly troubled.
"Alas," he said, "you, my friend, can easily swim, but how can a poor scorpion like me ever get

Prince Khurran ( Shah jahan ) , prince of Mughal was born in 1592.
According to legend, the prince met Arjumand Banu Begun, the daughter of
his father`s prime minister, at a bazaar when he was 14 and she was 15. Then he
went to his father and announced his desire to marry her.
Their wedding took place five years later, in 1612. From that time they were
inseparable. After becoming an emperor in 1628, Shah Jahan called Arjumand
banu Mumtaz Mahal, “jewel of the palac.” She accompanied him on military
attacks, and advised him afffairs of state.

Complication In 1631 , Mumtaz Mahal died after giving birth to their 14th child. Shah Jahan`s

marry Roro Jonggrang,King Boko’s daughter,but she did not love him.

Because he had power,Bandung Bondowoso almost managed to build the temple.Roro
Jonggrang tried to prevent him to complete the work.She made the maiden who lived in the

son away. Sangkuriang left his mother. He grew up to be a strong and more handsome man.

He got angry and kicked the unfinished boat, which turned upside down before he
himself fell down into the lake and died. It is traditionally believed that the existence of

In the forest, she had a baby. She called him Sangkuriang. The baby grew up to a
handsome man. He liked hunting. Dayang Sumbi said one day “My son, I’d like to eat the
heart of a deer”. Sangkuriang went hunting and Tumang followed him. Unfortunately, he
didn’t see a deer or any other animals. He was frustrated. He decided to kill the dog and
gave it’s heart to his mother.
And it happened, a good dog named Tumang bit the tool and gave it to her. She chased
the dog away. However, she finally married the dog. Perbangkara, her father, was very angry
knowing that his daughter was pregnant. He sent her to a forest.
