The objective of carrying out this individual project is to create a suitability of smartphone power bank design that bring exclusive image based on Versace and can overcome the existing problems.
SMARTPHONE POWER BANK 1 PROJECT BRIEF For urban upper class individuals who are conscious about their social status and younger generation who are in wealthy group. The smartphone power bank should be lightweight and portable which able to put inside pocket and the design of smartphone power bank must having a luxury feel along with modern aesthetics. Create a symbolic design of smartphone power bank based on the brand, Versace that brings ergonomically friendly and feels comfortable to hold. Existing smartphone power bank is too heavy and bulk. ECOMON This individual project is to design a functional product that related with recycling agriculture waste which is lemon.
Focused on housewife, cost conscious shoppers and users who seek for organic product. The design is a combination of sprayer on the top and squeezer on the bottom that are inspired by the concept of gym protein shaker sports bottle. The lemon spray bottle should be lightweight and portable. Having a suitable bottle shape that make users feel comfortable to hold it. PROBLEM STATEMENT DESIGN CONCEPT DESIGN CRITERIA TARGET USERS Existing method which is lemon peels mix with vinegar take long period to infuse becomes cleaning solution and existing detergents consist chemical substances that lead to water pollution and can hazard to health. This perfect material does not react with foodstuffs so it can be used on the presser part. High-density Polyethylene A strong plastic material used to make the bottle’s body and safety for a short-term storage. Stainless Steel The filter with tiny holes is made by stainless steel which has high corrosion resistance against citrus fruit. Clear Polypropylene This material is used for the straw part that allows the liquid to pump up from the bottle. This group project is to design a limited edition chair that inspired by bionics for luxury automotive brand which is Maserati.
The design should adapt to elevated modern interior which have a luxury feels and ergonomically designed that users can feel safe and comfortable when seating. Focused on customers who will visit Maserati’s car showroom which mostly are the target users of Maserati cars. Inspired by the great white shark. The design of the chair has the exact same sense with the front grille of car and the teeth of a great white shark. The design of armchair was inspired the teeth of great white shark. The back of the armchair has the exact same sense with the Maserati’s car front grille. LIMITED EDITION CHAIR 3 INSPIRATION
Stainless Steel Adjustable furniture stand was made by stainless steel with powder coating. It is recognized as an environmentally friendly process. Batten Wood Used as a support for the basements of armchair. It is a very strong, durability and sustainability material. Elastic Webbing Made of rubber latex thread material was used as a support for the base of seating area. It helps to improve resilience and elasticity. Plywood 6mm thickness of hard plywood for armchair’s frame. Navy Blue Synthetic Leather Main colour of the armchair to represent the Maserati’s brand identity. Cream Synthetic Leather Cream colour is used for the armchair’s seat. It create a good combination with navy blue. Upholstery Foam Main colour of the armchair to represent the Maserati’s brand identity. White Fabric The fabric was used to wrap the frame before glued with the upholstery foam. PROBLEM STATEMENT DESIGN CONCEPT DESIGN CRITERIA TARGET USERS The target users of the bus stop at Faculty of Design and Architecture are students, staff and visitors. The inclusive transit station should present the functionality that can provide a good ventilation and resistant to extremely climate. Create a symbolic design of inclusive transit station based on Faculty of Design and Architecture, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The current bus stop cannot avoid the direct sunlight and cause people expose to intense heat on particularly hot days. PVDF Coating Alumunium Louver Provides a good ventilation and keep out direct sunlight and rain. PVC Membrane Reduces the radiant heat gain during warmer weather conditions. Clear Cast Acrylic Engraved logo that symbolized three courses of faculty. Flagstone Pavers Provides a natural look and safety for users in which the texture have a nonslip surface. Steel Frame The main construction for the transit station. The curved steel can provide a distinctive shape of buildings. Limestone It provides a natural stone beauty and enhance the solar reflectance on the external surface of the bench.
