Ilmu pengetahuan dan kepakaran merupakan tunjang kepada pembangunan

kepada pelanggan termasuklah dengan adanya Pensijilan Halal Malaysia.

PENSIJILAN HALAL

Pensijilan Halal yang dipegang oleh pihak Rajah 1: Logo Halal Malaysia

jenis keperluan yang diperlukan dalam
memohon Pensijilan Halal Malaysia iaitu
Keperluan Umum dan juga Keperluan
Khusus.

Di dalam MPPHM , terdapat beberapa keperluan tambahan yang telah disyaratkan bagi Dapur
Hotel & Restoran. Menurut Manual Prosedur Pensijilan Halal Malaysia (MPPHM) dapur hotel
bermaksud tempat pemprosesan dan penyediaan makanan dan/minuman halal di sesebuah
hotel termasuklah dapur terbuka (open kitchen). Bilangan dapur hotel pula ditentukan
berdasarkan kawasan atau ruang dapur yang memiliki laluan keluar masuk (entry access) yang
khusus atau spesifik. Terdapat sepuluh keperluan tambahan yang disyaratkan kepada
pemegang Sijil Halal Malaysia.

eat them in moderation. Eating too many empty calorie foods will surely displace more
nutritious foods from our diet.

Next, for each nutrient, there is a range of safe intake. We need to understand that for each
nutrient, there is safe physiologic doses for optimal body function. For example, a person
whose diets contain too little or under dosage of vitamin B12 can be at risk of developing
vitamin B12 deficiency disease such as anaemia. However, if someone go for mega dosage
of nutrients for example, megadose intake of vitamin C for skin beauty purpose will cause
intestinal upset and diarrhea. Therefore, taking megadoses of vitamin C will be wasteful,
because excesses of vitamin are not well absorbed and will be eliminated in urine. Alert that
when taken in very high amounts, many nutrients especially vitamins and minerals behave
like drugs and can be toxic to us. Don’t forget that “more is not always better”.

Conclusion

As a conclusion, in order to understand nutrition, there are several key point for us to
take note. Most natural foods are basically mixtures of different nutrients, but there is
no one individual food that contains all nutrients needed for optimal health. Thus, to
ensure that we get adequate diet, we must consume variety of foods. Avoid
classifying food as “bad” or “good”, we should focus eating any food in moderation,
that’s the best way. Never forget that for each nutrient, there is range of safe intake.
Do not cross the border line! There is no such thing like “one size fits all” approach
when we want to practice a nutritionally adequate diet. Last but not least, the key for a
nutritious diet is that when we apply concept of adequate, balance, variety and
moderate. To a healthier eating pattern, I wish you best of luck!

KRITERIA MS 2610: 2015: MUSLIM FRIENDLY HOSPITALITY
SERVICES – REQUIREMENTS

MS 2610: 2015 tidak hanya terpakai untuk penginapan sahaja, malah ia
merangkumi juga pakej pelancongan dan pemandu pelancong (Yahaya et
al., 2020) Standard penginapan ini merangkumi lima komponen utama iaitu:
bilik, makanan dan minuman, musolla awam, tandas awam serta prasarana
rekreasi dan kesihatan. Komponen-komponen ini boleh dilihat dalam jadual
berikut (Department of Sandard Malaysia 2015):

Menurut Yahaya et al (2020) Standard ini pada asalnya dibina oleh Prof.
Madya Dr Nor'ain Othman dari Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) dan Prof.
Shaya'a Othman dari Universal Crescent Standard Center (UCSC) menerusi
hasil kajian mereka. Dengan bantuan dan sokongan kewangan daripada
UiTM dan UCSC, Islamic Quality Standard for Hotels (IQS) dihasilkan
sebagaimana jadual berikut (Nor’aini & Shaya’a 2012;Che Musa et al. 2014);

KRITERIA CRESCENTRATING STANDARD

Crescentrating menjadikan keperluan perkhidmatan berasaskan
kepercayaan (faith-based service needs) dalam penentuan kriteria
penarafan. Berdasarkan kajian yang dilakukan, pada tahun 2009 didapati
terdapat enam kunci asas kepercayaan yang mempengaruhi kepenggunaan
pelancong Muslim iaitu: makanan halal, prasarana solat, perkhidmatan
sepanjang Ramadan, tandas mesra air, tiada aktiviti tidak halal serta
prasarana dan perkhidmatan rekreasi dengan privasi. Pada tahun 2019,
berdasarkan kajian semula terhadap keperluan perkhidmatan berasaskan
kepercayaan dalam (faith-based service needs), Crescentrating menambah
tiga lagi kunci asas kepercayaan iaitu: bebas Islamophobia, faktor penyebab
sosial (social causes) dan pengalaman Muslim tempatan
(MastercardCrescentRating 2019).

Bagi Salam Standard, kategori hotel mesra Muslim dibahagikan kepada empat
kategori sebagaimana jadual berikut (Salam Standard 2020);

Standard-standard yang dirujuk dalam penawaran hotel mesra Muslim di
Malaysia iaitu MS2610: 2015 Muslim Friendly Hospitality Services –
Requirements, Crescentrating Standard dan Salam Standard tidak bersifat

Selaras dengan bukti saintifik dan status pemakanan rakyat Malaysia
yang terkini, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia telah memperkenalkan
Piramid Makanan Malaysia 2020, yang merupakan semakan semula
kepada Piramid Makanan sedia ada termasuklah saranan pengambilan
air iaitu 6-8 gelas air kosong sehari. Pengambilan air yang mencukupi
dapat memastikan badan kita sentiasa terhidrat bagi menjaga kesihatan
terutama di musim pandemik Covid-19 ini. Piramid Makanan Malaysia
memberi panduan kepada kita dalam menentukan jenis dan kuantiti
makanan yang perlu diambil setiap hari mengikut kumpulan makanan.
Terdapat 4 aras dalam Piramid Makanan Malaysia, di mana bilangan
kumpulan makanan paling banyak yang perlu di ambil diletakkan pada
dasar pyramid seperti Rajah 1.

Perincian bagi setiap pengiraan keperluan air yang diperlukan oleh tubuh
badan adalah berdasarkan kepada beberapa faktor seperti faktor
persekitaran (iklim dan aktiviti fizikal), faktor pemakanan dan faktor fisiologi
seperti terdapat didalam Malaysian Dietary Guideline 2020 yang telah
dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. Pengiraan keperluan air
berdasar RNI untuk orang dewasa seperti didalam Jadual 1. Meminum 8
gelas air yang disyorkan oleh pakar pemakanan dapat membantu tubuh
berfungsi pada tahap yang optimum. Bagaimanapun, jumlah tersebut
perlu ditambah sekiranya jenis pekerjaan anda memerlukan yang bekerja
di luar pejabat seperti pekerja-pekerja dalam bidang keselamatan dan
pembinaan. Selain itu, individu yang aktif bersukan juga perlu
meningkatkan pengambilan air supaya tubuh badan sentiasa dalam
keadaan hidrat.

Tubuh manusia memerlukan air yang cukup setiap hari, menurut Persatuan Dietetik British,

Rutin harian yang ringkas bagi pengambilan air setiap hari adalah sangat penting.
Walaupun ianya nampak remeh tetapi dengan minum air masak pada waktu yang tepat
dalam jumlah yang tepat dan konsisten dapat mengekalkan dan membantu tubuh agar
lebih sihat dan kekal hidrasi. Antara waktu yang disrankan mengambil air adalah sebelum
tidu,bangun dari tidur, sebelum mandi dan sebelum makan.
