Coolie No. 1 is an upcoming
2020 Indian Hindi-language
comedy film directed by David
Dhawan and produced by
Vashu Bhagnani. A remake
of the 1995 film of the same name, the film
stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, with
Paresh Rawal in a supporting role. Principal
photography began on 8 August 2019 in
Bangkok. The film is set to be theatrically
released in India on 1 May 2020.

Haathi Mere Saathi (lit. Elephants
are my friends) in Hindi, Kaadan
(lit. Jungle man) in Tamil and Aranya
(lit. Jungle man) in Telugu is an
upcoming Indian multilingual film
directed by Prabu Solomon. It features Rana
Daggubati, Vishnu Vishal, Pulkit Samrat, Shriya
Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain in the lead roles.
The film is simultaneously being shot in Hindi,
Tamil, and Telugu with a different cast across
languages. The conflict arises when a corporate
giant threatens to destroy the jungle and the eco-

system of elephants. The film was announced on
13 December 2017 with the first look released
on 1 January 2018.

Nishabdham (transl. Silence) is
an upcoming Indian thriller film
directed by Hemant Madhukar.
The film starring Anushka Shetty
as lead role alongside Madhavan,
Anjali, Michael Madsen, Subbaraju, Shalini
Pandey and Srinivas Avasarala in supporting
roles.This film was shot simultaneously in
Telugu and Tamil, with the latter version
titled Silence.The film is scheduled to release
on April 2020.

Champak Bansal (Irrfan) is a simple, small-town
businessman – one of the owner's of Ghasitaram
sweet shop chain – who’s leading a comfortable
life with his teenage daughter, Tarika (Radhika
Madan). But, Tarika has big dreams – of
graduating from a recognised university in
London. With little means to fulfil his daughter’s
ambition, how far will the father go to ensure
Tarika realises her 'videshi aspirations'?

Analysis :

Born and raised in Udaipur (Rajasthan),
Champak’s world pretty much revolves around
his daily bickering with his other Ghasitaram
brother, Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal), and caring
for his only daughter, Tarika, who’s all set to
graduate high school and embark on another
academic journey. But, unlike her father, she
doesn’t want to limit her dreams to the place
she has grown up in; instead, she wants to
explore what lies outside of her small world.
Unaware of what's ahead, Champak gives in to
his daughter's wishes, but things start to spiral
out of control when it comes down to paying
the hefty fee. A dedicated father, Champak
vows to do whatever it takes to send his
daughter to study abroad, and treads on a path
that not only proves his unconditional love for
his 'betiya', but also redefines their relationship.

Final Word:

'Angrezi Medium' does lose its grip on several
occasions, what it does not lose is its hold on
the emotion that it is trying to bring out, and the
message it leaves you with.

BOLLYWOOD

Story :

Fiercely protective of his elder brother Vikram
(Riteish Deshmukh), Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) goes after
a dreaded terrorist group in Syria to save him. Can
he bring back his brother alive?

Analysis :

Rippling muscles, six-pack abs and a chiseled face.
Meet Ronnie - the handsome hunk whose only job is
to magically appear from thin air whenever his elder
brother Vikram is in trouble. He will bash up the
bad guys to a pulp and go back to minding his own
business. But in a sudden twist, Vikram is kidnapped
by a terrorist group called Jaish-e-Lashkar in Syria
and Ronnie sets off on a rescue mission.
Director Ahmed Khan throws in every trick in the
book to make ‘Baaghi 3’ an action entertainer with
elements that highlight his leading man’s brute
force and deadly machismo. Tiger Shroff, who is
clearly one of Bollywood’s most bankable action
stars, packs quite a punch in the high-octane action
scenes (directed by Ram-Laxman and Kecha
Khampadkee). His perfect body and attitude make
all the stylized action look real. However, he falls
short in emotional scenes and comedy. Shraddha
Kapoor looks beautiful and brings in some good
comic relief in the first half. But her character isn’t
very crucial to the story and hence, she doesn’t
have much scope to perform.

Final Word:

There are ample acrobatics on display, slo-mo
shots, deafening explosions and lethal punches in
‘Baaghi 3’. But none of it can rise beyond a weak
script that doesn’t go for the kill. Knock yourself out
only if you’re a diehard Tiger Shroff fan.

Krish comes from China to Kakinada, to meet his
estranged uncle. He falls in love with his uncle’s
daughter Venkata Lakshmi, who’s already in a
relationship with Prabhu. When she goes missing on
a trip, chaos unfolds. O Pitta Katha Movie Review:
O Pitta Katha has all the bearings of a rom-com,
complete with easy-going, romantic visuals set in
a village. That is, till it jumps into its thriller mode.
What works for the film is how the thriller and comedy
manage to merge together. Even if the film is
suffocating in the beginning, it manages to more than
make up for it by the time the end credits roll.

Analysis :

Venkata Lakshmi (Nitya Shetty) is a happy-go-lucky
college student from Kakinada. Krish (Viswant) visits
his uncle’s home to soothe the rift between his mother
and him. While there, he falls for Venkata Lakshmi
and asks his uncle to give her hand in marriage so the
two families unite again. Meanwhile, Venkata Lakshmi
leaves on a vacation to Araku and goes missing.
When the sub-inspector Ajay Kumar (Brahmaji) tries
to untie the knots, he soon realises the existence of
Prabhu. How the cop unravels the mysteries is a funny
and thrilling ride.
Despite the shaky part, Chendu Muddhu manages to
pull off the film for the most part. While the love story is
pretty run-of-the-mill, the quirky comedy works in bits
and pieces. It’s the well-packaged thriller that works
particularly well. Nitya Shetty, as the typical, orthodox
Venkata Lakshmi has performed with ease.

Final Word:

Music composer Pravin Lakkaraju does a good job,
especially with the romantic numbers. Sunil Kumar N
has done a satisfactory job with the camera. Overall,
it’s the interesting and funny twists in the second half
that make O Pitta Katha an entertaining watch.

Story :

Yuva (Karteek Anand) hates his college to the core,
so much so that he wants to put an end to the college
fest being planned by Revanth (Munna). When the
latter dies a mysterious death during the said fest,
what unfolds is chaos.

Analysis :

When a Telugu film is set in college, it’s always
either about celebrating college life, glorification
of bad friendships, or even worse, infatuations.
However, Eureka is neither of that, seeing as
how it pulls off a thriller set on a campus. Director
Karteek Anand, who also played a lead role, must
be appreciated for trying a new genre and building a
light-hearted thriller that works for the most part. The
confusing screenplay and a draggy first-half however
prove to be a drawback.
Revanth is a hard-working student who wants to
organise a college fest called Eureka on a grand
note. He gets the required permissions to organise it
and gathers student to pull it off. On the other hand
is Yuva, a typical college thug who hates the college
for ruining his reputation. His aim now is to put an
end to the fest and he even gets into frequent brawls
with Revanth in a bid to do that. One of their brawls
goes to the extent that police interfere. However, on
the day of Eureka, Yuva finds Revanth’s dead body.
Fearing that he’ll be blamed for the murder, he gets
out to solve the mystery before the fest ends.

Final Word:

Eureka is no edge-of-the-seat thriller or an out-and-
out crime drama. Sounds weird, but it is a feel-good
film that revolves around a murder. If you’re not too
particular about the logic of it all, this one’s a good
weekend pick.

Baaghi 3 is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film
directed by Ahmed Khan. Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson
Entertainment and Fox Star Studios, it is a spiritual sequel to
Baaghi and Baaghi 2 and the third installment to the Baaghi
film series. Baaghi 3 stars Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and
Shraddha Kapoor. Principal photography of the film began on
12 September 2019 in Mumbai. It was theatrically released in

India on 6 March 2020.

Ranveer "Ronnie" Chaturvedi (Tiger Shroff) is
an unemployed goon. He has a brother named
Vikram Chaturvedi (Riteish Deshmukh). Ronnie
rescues Vikram from any bad or dangerous
situation. Vikram does not like to involve himself
in fights. Ronnie requests Vikram to take up a
police job as his father was in the police force
years ago.

Ronnie secretly punishes goons as Vikram was
timid and does not like violence and for this,
Vikram rises to fame for his activities and is well
received. Vikram had to fly to Syria for routine
paperwork and bids goodbye to his brother.
In a video chat, Ronnie witnesses his brother
beaten up by two people and as they kidnap
him, Ronnie warns that he will destroy them and
the country.

Ronnie arrives in Syria along with his girlfriend
Siya (Shraddha Kapoor) . They find out that
his brother was kidnapped by ISIS whose
leader is Abu Jalal Gaza. Ronnie fights his way
through helicopters, tanks and lots of soldiers.
Meanwhile, in the base of Abu Jalal, Vikram
explains to him that whenever he was in trouble
he used to scream out his brother's name. As
he screamed Ronnie's name, Ronnie invades
the base to save his brother. Ronnie meets up
with Vikram and Abu Jalal imprisons Vikram
and Siya and as Ronnie gets beaten up, Vikram
goes astray and to his surprise, he starts
fighting the soldiers. Ronnie executes Abu Jalal.

Made on a budget of Rs 85 crores, the film
collected Rs 135 crores in its run which got
disrupted due to coronavirus. The film's music
was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, Tanishk
Bagchi, Sachet–Parampara, Rochak Kohli and
Pranaay Rijia, with lyrics written by Panchhi
Jalonvi, Indeevar, Tanishk Bagchi, Shabbir
Ahmed, Gurpreet Saini, Gautam G. Sharma
and Ginny Diwan.
